I just used it with two different bands. Both loved it. the ability to dial in ones own personal mix is incredible. This feels like it should cost many times what it does because it works so well. For rehearsal purposes it's replacing thousands and thousands of dollars of gear and delivering an experience that is in another dimension. I have tried it with both my v-drums (needed a LR mono out to a stereo adapter), and putting a mic over my drums. Both worked great. Getting noise isolating headphones or earbuds with some good bass response is a good idea. If you are in a band, then you should own this.

The title should say it all. They aren't as comfy as my beats when used for more than 3 hours but the thumping bass, crisp vocals, and thundering electric guitar riffs sound almost as good (on some songs even better) than my precious $200 beats solo hds. Do I prefer these smokin buds over my beats? No, but these are as good as earbuds can sound for a super reasonable price. Been using skullcandy smokin buds for 3 years now and they never let me down, and the warranty rocks, check it on skullcandy's website to see for yourself. Make sure you buy the newer version with the 11mm drivers, not the older 9mm ones. I recently upgraded to the 11mm version and even though I loved my older ones, the new 11mm ones definitely pack a little extra punch and also have the in-line mic with play/pause/skip that really comes in handy. Also, these include a "travel case" but it's too small and hard to use so if you really need a good carry case you should buy a bluecell one on amazon like I did. It's much easier to use and only costs 5 bucks.

These are some GOOD headphones. They're comfortable, they have good bass & sound, and they're comfortably priced. Recommend to anyone who enjoys music and doesn't want to buy expensive headphones. (like Beats, etc...)

The product is advertised "with Mic", however there is not a mic. I wrote the vendor and never heard back.

I received these ear buds through SkullCandy's warranty program (which, by the way, is AMAZING and I'm giving these an extra star because of.) I read reviews that these had more bass response than my previous skullcandy headphones, which were the Ink'd series.

If you don't know how to equalizer your smartphone/iTunes/etc, don't get these. The mids are so high they muddy the tone horrendously. I will say that their frequency response is better than Ink'd, but Ink'd has cleaner tone right out of the box.

My teen son saw these in an airport store for $35 and was going to purchase them, but I showed him how we could get them much cheaper on Amazon. The headphones seal in the ear well and produce very good sound. Adequate bass, solid highs. The microphone for use with a cell phone is a nice bonus. The only issue we had is that they only lasted for 2 months before failing. They started getting very scratchy and distorted, at which point they became garbage. My teen doesn't abuse headphones, and other (cheaper) headphones have lasted longer for him.

Very Happy with this set and the double bass pedal. I have been a Drummer for 30 years never likes e-drums, but needed something quite for the house. I would buy this set again and i will be buying the add on pads. This set doesn't miss a beat. The only things i didn't like is the Hi-hat has a small pickup zone so you have to hit it in a small area for it to work. and the kick pad moves around alot when you get on it, But a few zip ties around the back and on the pole fixed it .

This cable is hard to find. I had a previous cable from a different manufacturer that required an additional adapter on each end to convert from the TOSLINK to this optical 3.5mm plug. I had to replace that cable when the entire plug broke clean off when the cable was accidentally tugged.

This Sony version is top quality and solidly made. I use it to connect my MacBook Pro to my B&W Zeppelin speakers. Unfortunately, my wife's MacBook Air (2010 model) doesn't do optical out from the headphone jack, and now there's a B&W Zeppelin Air version that's wireless.

I had a previous setup where I used this cable to connect from an Apple Airport Express to the Zeppelin for wireless streaming so maybe I'll go back to that instead of upgrading to the Zeppelin Air.

Cheers!

$4, high quality, works perfectly. And it's a name brand. I can't see how you'd possibly beat this.

I bought it for connecting the optical-out on my laptop to an optical-in on a headphone amp. Works great.

Not much else to say. It's a great deal.

Don't get me wrong, the Tascam DR-07 mkII is an awesome little recorder for the price. This package, however, is probably not worth your time. For an extra $30, (the Tascam DR-07 mkII usually goes for about $149.99) you are getting a worthless little tripod that I wouldn't trust to hold even the cheapest or lightest point and shoot camera. The bag is mehhh at best. My biggest complaint is the product title says "Tascam Headphones". This seemed odd to me as I wasn't aware that Tascam made headphones, but I went with it without researching. Don't be fooled like I was. The headphones are not Tascam, but Samson (model HP-10). They are almost decent, but are very rigid, plastic-y, and rather uncomfortable to wear. They fall of my head easily and never really feel secure. I'd save the $30 bucks, buy only the recorder and if you need them, get a nice pair of Sennheiser headphones instead. You'll end up paying about the same, and won't have a bunch of gear you'll never want to use.

I received the Tascam DR-07mkii very quickly and started to use it right away. I have a home recording studio set up in my bedroom and record alot of original music. I have many musician friends always asking to here some of my music and I don't burn to CD much or not at all. So, this recorder came in real handy for that purpose. I just record line in from my computer and presto, I have my recordings in hand that sound amazing. I don't see a problem with the line in input at all. The recordings are nice and clear and can be used in the place of demo CDs.

Of course if there is any interest in any of the tunes they can be burned later.

It is also nice to have the case to carry the recorder with you and although the supplied Tascam headphones are not up to snuff for my liking, I have lots of headphones to use in their place and will just add these to the others.

Also, I have been able to capture some musical ideas in the early morning hours when an idea hits me. I just get up and grab a guitar and start to record. As a musician I'm sure most of us know those moments can get away from you and fade very quickly.

The battery life does not last very long and I have to invest in a power cord although you can power it through USB which I have yet to do. I am very pleased with this purchase.

As a professor looking to do audio and video work with students and to conduct interviews in remote locations abroad, this is an ideal solution. Intuitive controls, easy integration with a Mac laptop (i.e. without any setup, it mounts as a drive when you plug in the USB cable to the laptop), and the sound quality was more than I expected. For the audiophile, I think this would be a great mobile solution and for the uninitiated to sound recording, a better solution than built-in mics within mobile devices. As a sidenote, I'd encourage anyone who wants the options of focused sound and broad, ambient sound to go with this choice versus the fixed, dual mic option from Tascam (the dr05 if I'm not mistaken). I thought I was going overboard getting the adjustable mics, but it really does make a difference in the end product. The bundle too is a bonus the bag is bulky and unnecessary for me, but the cables and tripod alone make up the price difference.

I'm a member of a barbershop quartet and I needed a decent recording device to bring to rehearsals that I could also use to playback during rehearsal time. So I needed a carrying bag that could handle a few things. The bag itself is very good. I wish it had a bit more padding, but it has oodles of pockets even a tiny Velcro pocket for the tiny memory card the device uses. The headphones seem good, and there is a 2.0 USB included which connects the device nicely to my Mac. However, the tripod is not so impressive (I suggest the Gorilla flexible mini-tripodJoby GP1-A1EN GorillaPod Flexible Tripod (Grey and Black)). Overall, I really like the bag because it holds many things, recorder directions, my Wowee speaker WOWee One Power Bass Portable Speaker for iPad, iPhone, MP3 Players, Laptops, Mobile Phones, and Personal Game Systems (Black) (I also suggest one of these if you like to playback during rehearsals), the tripod, various wires, etc. The whole shabang really isn't much more than buying the device alone, so I think it's worth the extra $$$ even if a few of the "accessories" will end up in the trash.

I am a gadget lover and a music maker. When I was shopping for a recorder there was really no doubt in my mind. I bought this kit for the extras. I love the unit! The headphones are nice sounding but quiet. I've used them on my pc and laptop and get the same quality. Other wise everything is great. I have recorded two songs with this unit. In the past I've purchased two full sets (foam and buds) direct from ear fuze who, by the way, charges insane prices. Both times the earbuds failed... honestly one was my fault (slept with them plugged into an iPad, rolled over and creased the 3.5mm jack). Earbuds aside, the foam inset is outstanding. I have one wonky ear canal that never seems to hold any pair of ear buds I use when running, Enter EarFuze! This stuff is great, worthy of five stars but only gets four for one reason: the kit comes with these clear adhesive strips that you first must wrap around the exterior of the earbud, once wrapped the adhesive seals onto itself. Then you insert the earbud into your ear and pack in the foam, not time consuming or hard at all. However, the adhesive is flat and rectangular (and slightly malleable) meaning you must be sure that it'll work on your earbuds (fortunately I had a piar of skull and ink'd earbud that had a flat cylindrical shape which made it easy). I'd imagine if your thinking about ordering this kit to apply to the included iPhone buds, you can probally forget about it.

I replaced a Mackie 1202 with this unit when I went to all software instruments for recording. Plenty of ins and outs, and I can discern no difference in sound quality or noise level. I run a pair of big powered monitors out of it as well as headphones. Behringer gives great value and quality especially for prosumer level recording. Have used for a year now with zero problems.

Update 2 years 3 months later, still going strong, no noise no problems..a really great value.

My first order arrived with a defective talk-back microphone. Just today I have received my second ordered device and it now functions to my expectations. I also do not detect any additional audible noise introduced by this device. The other reviewers' complaints regarding introduced noise and hum may be caused by either a defective unit or very likely a result of faulty cabling, adapters or nefarious ground loops. This compact mixer is a great bargain and possesses all of the basic features I require.

FYI Velcro sticky back hook & loop tape is great for securing lightweight audio devices such as this from tilting and sliding around.

This is a nice little product, and I own other Behringer products I've always been impressed by their quality vs. price.

However, I am a little disappointed in this item for a simple reason it's noisy.

I have a quiet system, but when I ad this unit I get a buzz. I've tried to isolate and remove the buzz, but the only thing that works is removing this mixer. It also picks up interference and electrical pops, that weren't there before I added this.

To be clear, it's not a loud buzz, but it is audibly noticeable. Since the AC adapter is not grounded, I can't even try to eliminate it with a ground lift.

Seriously, I've tried disconnecting all items from the system one at a time. I've tried multiple power circuits for the various items. It is definitely the unit.

My next step is to return it and see if the replacement causes the same problem.

Want Behringer MINI MON MON800 Ultra-Compact Stereo Monitor Matrix Mixer Discount?

Like others, I'm using this as part of a small home recording setup. In my case, mics and sources connect to a Behringer UBB1002 mixer which feeds a Creative E-MU 0404 USB audio interface. The MON800 inputs are connected to both the mixer and the audio interface so that I can quickly switch from monitoring the live mix to monitoring playback from the audio interface. Outputs of the MON800 feed a couple of pairs of headphones and a pair of Behringer B2031A powered monitors.

The MON800 is dead silent in this setup unless I turn the output levels past three o'clock (very high), and the frequency response seems to be flat across the useful range of listening levels (measured using True Audio RTA). I have used the talk-back feature to coordinate second part recording with a musician in another room. Works great. Crazy functionality for such a low price!

My only gripe is that with lots of cables connected, the device is physically a little unstable. The front lifts off of the table, making it easy to slide around if you're not careful. I may try some large self-adhesive rubber feet on the back to make it grip a bit better. I would not mind paying up to double the price for balanced in's and out's (to support longer cable runs), but for what it is, it works great for me.

I have a PC monitor in my kitchen, which has VGA, S-Video and RCA Video inputs. I hooked up a digital TV tuner, a computer, and a video feed from my amplifier which is in the living room. But I needed a way to combine the audio. This does the job. Using a switching power strip, when I turn on the monitor, the MON800 turns on. Now I get the sound from the DTV tuner, or I can fix dinner while watching what's on the DB-player in the living room. Would have been nice if it had a remote, so I could have selected the sound input (the monitor, tuner and PC sit in the basement and are controlled by a IR-repeater), but for now it works. Eventually I will be hooking up a 3-piece computer speaker set, but it works well with the cheap PC-monitor speaker. For this unusual application, the MON800 does the job very well.
