First off the seller (Sonic Sence) was awesome. Very responsive to my emails. As for the equpitment, the Tascam has a bit of a learning curve however pretty straight forward. The audio through the XLR with the Sennheishers is a mono chanel whereas the line 2 input the a the supplied 1/4 plug is stearo. The sound from the onbaord mic is about one step better than most DSLR's but the Sennheiser/Tascam combo is just awesome. Maybe a little bassey but that can be turned down in post production. You will need to turn up the output from the receiver to the Tascam to +12 and the sending unit sensitivty to -24 for good clear sound wihtou having to boost the gain on the recorder. You will have to fine tune to your environment. All in all however, I am glad I made the purchase. Good seller, good products and a good price. Whatelse does one want? :)

These are great headphones I've had them for 10 months and there still going strong and have been pretty durable for being made of plastic. When you first get them the highs on them can be a little piercing but after about 20 hours of burning in they sound great. some people have been complaining about the bass on these which I have something to say about, normal human hearing is between 20-20k hertz these headphones produce 5-23k hertz because of this the bass frequencies sound more natural, this makes these headphones sound more like studio monitors rather than normal headphones which tend to normally have a woofy low end to block out outside noise. this means instead of hearing a thump for the drums you can hear each drum individually and differentiate each type of cymbal on a track. also the eq on these is extremely flat which is makes them better than a lot of other headphones for mixing. Somethings these headphones have which will make them last longer than normal headphones is all the padding is replaceable and all the cords and adapters are removable and replaceable, so in like 5 years if a cord goes bad you can just replace it with a new one instead of going out and having buy new pair of headphones. all of these things make these headphones great for mixing and and in the studio but also great for casual consumer uses as well.Buy KRK KNS8400 Studio Headphones Now
I have had a pair of the KRK Rockit8's for over a year now and just got these headphones about a month ago, and like their advertising, they are the same sound. I am very pleased with these, I can actually do a little mixing and beat-making with them. They are also the most comfortable closed ear headphones I've ever worn. I'm an owner of quite a few headphones Shure SRH750, Audio Technica ATH-M40fs, etc. Anyways, back to these headphones. First off, they are by far one of the most COMFORTABLE headphones I've EVER worn. Not only do they have EXTREMELY generous memory-foam padding on the earcups (interestingly enough, the headband cushions are not memory foam, and are actually quite hard and stiff), they are also crafted from extremely LIGHT, yet durable plastics. You can definitely tell the build quality is top notch the minute you pick these babies up hinges rotate without hesitation and effort, adjusting headband hinges are made from a combination aluminum/metal and plastic, and the plastic they use is a tough, durable, semi-rigid type.For the sound quality, I still haven't burned them in 100%, but from what I've heard so far, the highs and mids are so CRISP and pronounced. They will allow you to hear sounds you've never heard in your music before. For the bass...these would most definitely NOT be the first pair of cans I'd recommend to a basshead friend of mine. On the other hand, for my purposes, the low register will suit perfectly. These are MONITORING headphones. Which means they don't colour any of the ranges, whether it be highs, mids, or lows. The earpads block out a fair amount of noise. Although the impedence is quite low, my PC and phone struggle to drive the headphones...something I thought was quite odd, as videos reviews of these headphones state that it is quite easy to play at a high volume level. The soundstage is small, as are most closed-back headphones...slightly above-average at best. Don't listen to the KRK videos when they say it's easy to drive, tremendous sound isolation, very wide-open soundstage; that's promotional exaggeration. Sound and instrument separation is great though.
The 8400s are actually quite small headphones. The earcups do fit my ears nicely though (and that says a lot I have Dumbo-proportioned ears), but the headphones themselves are quite small in comparison to other monitoring/DJ headphones (Sony V700s, etc.) In terms of aesthetics, they aren't flashy in the slightest. They are very modest, matte-black headphones, and are a tad similar in terms of looks and feel to a pair of Sennheiser HD 4X8/4X9 series. You're paying for the comfort and sound quality, not the looks.
These are feature-heavy headphones. The earcups rotate 90 degrees for flat storage, and one of the two earcups (right side) can be flipped 180 degrees for one-sided monitoring. Cables are detachable, and included is a volume-control section, as well as a REALLY long cable (I believe 9-10 feet long). I'd preferred to have a shorter cable be included as well for more portable use while on the run with an MP3 player or phone, as the cables used are quite uncommon and specific to KRK (i.e. 2.5mm to 3.5mm (1/8 inch), and it's a twist-n-lock system, meaning you plug the 2.5mm ended part of the cable into the headphones and twist it to lock it). It also comes with a nice leather carrying case, a 6.3mm (1/4 inch)screw-on adapter, a polishing cloth (the outside of the earcups have some metal on them), and manual.
In summary, the KRK KNS8400s are a great pair of headphones, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a neutral-sounding pair of headphones. I will post another review in another few weeks after some more burn-in time.

First let me say that if you're in the market for headphones that make everything sound it's best, THESE ARE NOT THE HEADPHONES FOR YOU. Not that these sound bad but it seems a lot of people have missed the point of headphones such as these.These are monitoring/reference headphones. They are designed for music production. As such, they reproduce the sound as closely to as is as possible. Therefore, if what you're listening to on them sounds bad, it's likely because the recording is bad.
As far as what they're designed for, the do a pretty good job. The detail is amazing and when adjusting levels in a mix and panning, the are surprisingly accurate. I own these as well as the shure shr840's. The highs are crip and not harsh as well. Great for those fine tuning adjustments to add that sheen without completely destroying the song which can be easy to do if you can't get your highs right. Here are a few things about the KRK's that cuased me to only give 4 stars:
1. While they are not supposed to have a huge bass response, I believe the bass is perhaps rolled off a bit too much. To the point where making critical adjustments in a mix requires a fair amount of guess work. The shures are slightly better in this regard.
2. There seems to be a boost in the lower mids, perhaps around 100khz. This gives the KRK's a more boxy sound compared to the shures and it takes some getting used to. So if you have used other cans, beware of this.
Otherwise they are light and comfortable for their class and can be worn for long periods.
These things are extremely comfortable.. I forget about them and have already worn them for a nice 10 hour session.. No problems, no fatigue, less sweat than expected.
The sound is unreal. Seriously. Uncolored and just beautiful. I have heard new things in almost every quality recording that I have listened to. Sadly, I have also heard tons of garbage in my own recordings/productions.. I guess they will only help make me better. These guys are unforgiving, but amazing.
I don't know what the other reviews are talking about when they say bass is lacking. It is there and it is actually DYNAMIC.. Listen to some cello on these guys.. It is an epic experience.
Overall, I truly love them. My quest for great headphones and sound is over. Pick these up before KRK realizes what they have here and starts charging five times the price.

This was a lot of fun to build!It helps (a lot) if you are mildly proficient with simple woodworking, electronics wiring, soldering, and being able to completely read all directions *before* you start.

This headset is made for a larger head. Even though it is adjustable, on me, the boom still is nowhere near my mouth. The flexible boom does not stay where you put it. It returns to it's original position fairly quickly. Since I cannot get it to a position with which I can use it, I haven't tried it for sound. If you have a smaller head get a headset that just sits on one ear.

I just got this keyboard and playing for the first time felt and sounded outstanding. It sounds so much nicer than my upright piano (granted, it hasnt been tuned in quite some time.)It's a little confusing to figure a few things out at first, but the instructions book really helped me.

I got lucky and was able to pick this up right before they raised the price on it. It's still a great deal though taking that its 199 by itself from casio. Its sounds great when using speakers and the headphones that comes with it. the Stand is easy to set up. all you have to do is unscrew and screw screws with a tool that comes with the stand. Haven't learned all the features yet. The power adapter is a casio as well and works perfectly. Just got it today but i've been playing it for about an hour. Great gob by Casio on the Piano and great job with the package. absolute 5 starsOnly thing that I'm not happy with is the cheap stand it came with, the metal is so soft that I couldn't unscrew the bolts. Having misplaced my Blue Snowflake USB mic, I decided to give this recently introduced, competitively priced USB mic from Samson a try. (Samson is maker of the highly popular and effective Zoom personal digital recorders--the H2 and the H4n.) It's an attractive, fully outfitted piece of equipment, with handsome packaging (a small black box and zippered carrying case with aesthetics apparently inspired by iPod). It's smaller and lighter than the Snowflake--more diminutive than the picture would suggest. Yet the audio quality strikes me as being somewhat warmer and richer, favoring the bass frequencies of spoken narration more than the Snowflake, which has slightly cleaner and clearer definition at the treble end.The Samson Go was seen instantly by my iMac, and recording was as advertised: "Plug n' Play." The mic is somewhat more sophisticated than the Snowflake in terms of "latency" settings (it permits direct monitoring via headphones connected to the mic to insure no delay, or lag time, between transmission and reception), and there's a three-way switch for directional patterns (the manual could be clearer, however, about the difference between "cardioid" and "cardioid 10 pad.") No matter. The mic performed virtually flawlessly right out of the box, with no tampering with the switch.
It's extremely sensitive, slightly more so than the Snowflake. Yet I was unable to avoid the "P" popping sounds, regardless of how close I got to the mic and muted my consonants. So be prepared for the addition of some sort of "pop filter" device (either one sold on Amazon or a self-designed one, using a nylon stocking).
The mic can be clipped to the top of a computer screen or mounted on a mic stand (using a supplied adapter or ordering a properly sized one from Samson). Yet with its heavy base plus the flexible, tilting mic, it can be placed on a flat surface--much like the Snowflake, but with greater stability and without any intrusive cable. (The Snowflake tends to "flop around," requiring some balancing of the device by the user.)
My biggest disappointment thus far is that the clip, as alluded to by another reviewer, does not open far enough for attachment to a desk-top computer (it should be an ideal fit with most notebook machines). Although the Snowflake doesn't use a spring clip, it suffers from the same limitation. If you're especially concerned about durability, the Snowflake appears to be the heavier, more rugged mic, with thick metal and no tiny switches or spring clips to wear out. The Samson is the more delicate and refined of the two. But don't kid yourself. Either mic will exceed the capabilities of your computer's built-in mic and perhaps the owner's expectations. On the other hand, neither is a match for the Shure SM7B that I'm accustomed to using at a local broadcasting studio. Still, Samson would appear to have a winner with this little wonder, whether it's used in conjunction with a computer to record full-frequencied music or "realistic"-sounding narration.

In the realm of digital recording, the idea of a USB-powered condenser mic was really just an inevitability, but Samson has truly impressed me with their Go Mic. This little microphone has a surprisingly rich sound to it, and captures an impressive dynamic range. The transducer is a mere 10mm, but don't let the diminutive size of it fool you; you can capture some high-quality, professional sounds with this microphone. I use mine primarily as a to-go mic for my laptop recording studio, capturing vocals and guitars with it.One caveat I would like to mention about using this device in a multitrack context: the use of the default driver for this device is definitely not recommended. Check out ASIO4ALL, a free driver that recognizes your audio hardware and gives them a generic but highly effective ASIO driver, which cuts down on latency big time. Definitely avoid the default Windows driver if you're looking for performance.
The great thing about this microphone is that it has a headphone jack on it, which further reduces the effects of latency in a multitrack context. While it does not reduce latency per se, it can remove the latency between what you hear out of your speakers, making multitrack recordings well-timed. The headphone jack was the deciding factor between this and the Blue Snowflake, which is similarly priced. I have no experience with the Snowflake, but I know it does not have a headphone jack and its clip with which to mount the mic on a laptop is free-hanging, not spring-loaded like the Go Mic. The thing I love about the Go Mic's clip is it will attach to either the top or the side of your LCD screen, which is handy.
If you're a musician who travels with any frequency, definitely look into the Go Mic. You can't go wrong for the price, and its size is tiny enough to stow away in even the smallest laptop bag (even netbook bags). The quality of sound is great, too. This product, alongside my Korg nanoKEY, makes studio productions on the road a reality for me, and I'm thrilled with my purchase.

There are a lot of great reviews here already, which prompted me to purchase this mic, but it seemed the number of reviews for my particular use were lacking, so here's another review from a singer-songwriter perspective.Background: I have been playing music and writing songs for years, and I'm a gearhead so I already own tons of recording equipment in all shapes and sizes. You name a recording interface, I've probably owned it at some point, and I currently have a fully functional pc recording setup with a rackmounted pc and USB interface.
That being said, I can't carry my setup around in my pocket. Inspiration can strike at anytime, and this mic is so small that I can put it in the case and fit it in my pocket with my cellphone and keys. The pics offer no perspective on how small it really is, but to be sure, this thing is TINY.
I use REAPER as my DAW, and having used so many interfaces, I've done a fair share of troubleshooting to get devices to be recognized and function as they should, but this mic is truly plug-n-play. The mic has the omni switch on the side, which is a great feature and makes a world of difference depending on your application. The mic is super hot, and picks up sound beautifully in both modes. My intention was to have a small mic to plug in and record rough versions of "in progress" material, but just for kicks I plugged some earbuds into the headphone out to check out the direct monitoring. It works as advertised, but what I did not realize is that the pc sees the Go Mic as a mic input AND an audio output, so the headphone out can be used to monitor the WET signal from the DAW, which is GREAT news, since I like a little reverb and compression whenever possible, and it's nice to be able to eq to my taste. I add these FX in the chain so that I'm still recording just the dry signal from the mic, but I get to hear it in real time with whatever EQ and effects I like. I experienced no latency, but USB is USB, so any latency would be the fault of the computer rather than the mic anyhow.
Depending on the environment you're recording in and on your proficiency in the post production department,it's easily possible to get high quality tracks using this mic. If someone says otherwise, it's either because they own much more expensive mics, whose existence they need to justify, or because they don't know what they're doing. This is not a $1k ribbon mic, but it does stand up to several mics all the way up to the $200 range.
This mic sounds great, has an impressive form factor, and once you factor in the crazy low price, you really can't go wrong here. If it were lost or stolen, I'd order another one immediately without hesitation.

I tested the mic and was surprised at how clean it sounded. Lacks some bass unless you're right up on it, but is perfect for on-the-road podcasting, on-line meetings or webinasrs.
Con:
Only one, the clip is really meant for a thin laptop screen and not a regular monitor. So that limits the usefulness to remote uses.
For the price, it's one of these gotta have toys that's actually a real mic. Good job Samson!
I am set up next to a noisy heater that the mic has not picked up when I have it set at either cardioid setting. When I set it for omni-directional, I walked fifteen feet away and it picked me up clearly without me raising my voice.
The mic's actual size is similar to a large pencil eraser. It folds into itself for storage in a nice little case that come with it. It is a sturdy, serious piece of equipment.

The quick lick. I have an ES 175 and I love it, yet I would never consider taking it with me on trips and leaving it in a hotel. Better yet, those that practice a lot know that family members really don't want to hear you running scales or riffs for hours on end, so the "Pocket Rocket" headphone amp with clean & distortion settings is a must. The action is set from the factory perfect, no buzzing, and no strain either thru the headphones or my amps. I really recommend this guitar especially for the $$$. I'll be respectfully brief and to the point. This is not only a great travel guitar, but a pretty damn interestingly voiced guitar on its own. Frankly, when I put the EG-2 through a very nice hardware amp simulator and played a bit I was pleasantly surprised. Enough sounds in its palette to satisfy with really good tone and feel. This mini-strat fills the bill for me as a travel guitar. It will fit in a 29" suitcase, diagonally in its guitar case. It a 27" suitcase it will fit only with out the included case.High points: The guitar has a nice tone, very close to to that of a Fender Stratocaster. It appears to be well made with decently low action. Intonation on the upper frets is good. The quality of the tuners and bridge and workman ship all appear good. There were no visible flaws. The aux input and headphone jack were the key features for me beside its full size neck in a small travel size.
It stays in tune almost as well as my American made Strat.
Low points: The aux input was loose, I unscrewed is mounting, and tightened the nut while holding the aux jack so it wouldn't turn as I tightened it. The Pocket Rocket feature will drain the included battery in 1 day if left on. Mine arrived with a dead battery. The guitar case could use a second strap so it can be carried like a back pack.
Other than that, I'm quite satisfied. I'd rate it B to B+.

I was at a conference for four days last month and really missed playing my guitar. I had been thinking about the traveler and went to a local guitar center and bought an EG-1 (mini les paul) with one humbucker at the bridge. It had OK action but I didn't care for the single pickup because I am on a Stevie Ray / Mark Knopfler / Robin Trowler (you get the idea) kick. When I saw the EG-2 I figured I had to try itjust to tote it around and play when I had some time once I got home. This guitar arrived the after I got home, and I can't put it down. It sounds just like a real strat, and plays with nice action. I have a small FM transmitter that I used for playing a portable CD player over a car FM receiver from years ago, and now my car radio is my new portable practice amp. The quality of this guitar is much better than the EG-1 that I had at the hotel, so maybe this company is learning some lessons on how to make it right. I am totally happy with this guitar and will keep it in my truck and not worry too much about it given the cost. That said though I would hate to have anything happen to this guitar!My other guitar is a PRS Studio which I would never consider leaving in my truck!

I'm sure this guitar would be great for some people just maybe not for my purposes.

Was bummed to hear that the sound was really flat with these. I was hoping they would be a decent back up pair for traveling when I didn't want to bring my expensive ones with me, when the possibility of losing them was around. Fairly cheap price, but still a waste of cash in my opinion. Bummer.

I just opened my new Marware UpSurge and am streaming from my Amazon Cloud Player through my iPhone. I've been looking for a small speaker for this and my Kindle and decided to take a chance on this since it was offered as a lighting deal.
This little speaker has better quality sound than the Skullcandy Pipe (sounded like a tin can, no bass), which I returned, and better sound than just the iPhone's speaker alone. There is a little static/noise from my computer while hooked up to my computer but you can charge the speaker up (USB) and use it without the power source. Plus, my computer is a piece of junk!
I am so happy with this purchase that I dropped everything to write this review. Take a chance on this one!

The Marware UpSurge Recharable Mini Speaker for Kindle Fire is a good buy if you watch a great deal of movies and videos on the Kindle Fire. It tripled the sound volume of my Kindle Fire. It used to be that I could not hear the sound from a movie on Kindle Fire when there were people talking in the room. With this Marware speaker, I can now listen to movies on the Kindle with no problem even when people are talking around me. When no one is in the room, I can listen to the movie from across the room with this speaker, but who would ever watch a movie from across the room when Kindle is of a personal size. The volume on this speaker is what the Kindle Fire should have had on the system, but I guess Amazon wanted to sell accessories to make a few extra bucks or to keep the cost of the Kindle lower. The good thing about this speaker is that it has an on/off switch that allows you to save the battery life when not in use. Another good thing is that it's small and portable to take with your Kindle Fire. It also comes with a rechargeable cord, but the inconvenience is that you cannot recharge through a wall; instead, you have to recharge it through a computer or laptop that has a USB port. If you don't have a computer/laptop, you should not buy this or you will be screwed when it comes to recharging this speaker. However, once charged, the speaker last quite a while as long as you remember to switch the speaker off when you disconnect. Another inconvenience is that the apeaker has no volume control. Thus, you must continue to control the volume through the Kindle Fire's volume control, which as we all have experienced, can freeze a movie or cause a connection error while changing the volume. The wire that connects to the Kindle's headset jack is about a foot long, so the speaker has to stay close to the Kindle. Overall, I'm happy with it even though the functionality of it can be improved. I am very happy with this speaker as I can use it to listen to music from MP3 player, my Kindle fire, or my smart phone. Many times I am not it the mood to use headphones and this application works great as it travels well, and can work a long while off the battery.I thought that the battery charge cable was a little on the short side and seemed a little bit frail. This charge cable & plug size is not very well identified, but if you want a better cable to use with this, I have purchased and verified that the following cable does work well to charge this 5-volt speaker:

However, this review is about the speaker, and I am very happy with the purchase.
Nice quality, of course it's not super high audio quality, but the speaker seems well made and solid. I have a few different tablets, and with the exception of the new Kidle Fire HDwhich has awesome soundI often find myself straining to hear the volume when watching video playback. This little speaker makes al the difference. It has worked with a Kindle Fire, Google Nexus 7 and an Elocity A 7+ tablet. No regrets; great price.

I really liked this product, it works well and is very easy to transport while traveling. However I bought it as an accessory with my new Kindle fire and it does not work when in the amazon leather cases. I had thought since they were both marketed as kindle fire accessories that they would work together. It is not easy to remove the fire from the case, so using it with the fire is very inconvenient. So if you are looking for a device like this, do not buy it if your using the amazon leather kindle fire case.

My nephew wanted some drums for christmas. he is 12 so i thought this would be nice to get for him. Well he likes it but if i had to purchase it over again I probably wouldn't. Although it is for a little kid the sounds seems to be pretty weak in the speakers.. It'll get him by next time i will probably spend more money on a drum pad or just get the drums altogether. I am surprised at the positive reviews. The first few minutes I noticed you could hardly hear the drums without external speakers. After a few hours of use I started hearing electrical hum. I really wish I never bought this at all, my 4 year old was so happy, but suddenly it stopped working. After a few minutes it would work again, but making buzzing sounds, and drums would work for a minute and then stop again. I am going to buy a name brand set after using this one. So, it's got lots of different patterns
( 8-beat patterns, 16-beat patterns, Latin, etc )
and the LEDs on the pads light to identify when one SHOULD be hitting the pad,
and one can disable the drum from the playing-tune
( so that the only drum one hears is one's own drumming ),
and one can speed-up/slow-down the tunes...
For the money, I don't know that this can be beat
( I'd definitely go compare with the Yamaha ones, though...
partly because when one switches "kit", one doesn't get to choose by individual pad,
this IS a $35 item..,
and with only 4 pads, it's often impossible to get a group-of-sounds that one wants to practice with... )
There are 3 musical intelligences:
Melody,
Harmony,
& Rhythm.
Celine Dion gets Melody, but not Harmony.
Liberace & Elton John get filling-in Harmony, but can't match even the simplest Fugue.
Bach Fugues ARE Harmony-dance, far beyond what most nowadays have heard.
But, none of those train one in syncopation/rhythm.
This little "toy" does.
I'm using this to get the basic coordination into me BEFORE going & spending money on lessons.
( next is to mix this with a training-DVD, so I get further before the expensive tutoring/lessons! )
As with any resource,
IF USED COMPETENTLY, it can create great difference in one's capability.
The pads are MUCH better than with many cheap brands, btw...
Also, it can run on 6x "c" batteries ( alkaline ), should one need to do that, for some reason...
It does come with its AC-adapter.

I bought a 100-watt amp prior to this one for a small music room. That amp started distorting at normal volume settings. I returned it and bought this one. The 30-watt amp sounds just as loud (to me) and has no distortion at the same volume. For family sing-alongs, I really needed extra volume for the vocals, so I use the two 1/4" inputs for microphones, and the "line in" for a separate mixer that manages my keyboard and an electric acoustic guitar. I use the 1/4" headphone jack on my mixer. It has its own volume control, so I can control the mixer volume separate from the amp volume (note that the "line in" jack on the amp does not have its own volume control, since it's really meant for chaining another amp or sound effects device). I use the "line out" jack on the amp to run all of the combined sounds into a digital recorder. I bought this amp 3 months ago and have played it in jams as well as daily practice sessions. It works beautifully with my acoustic/electric Ibanez. The 30W power is just right for small gigs and jams. It gives great sound at lower settings as well as when I crank it up. The tilt-back feature is a simple device and idea that projects the sound to the audience perfectly. It is built like a tank. The reverb and setting knobs on it are a bit crowded but once you get it set, you'll not be adjusting it anyway. The one feature that persuaded me to buy this amp, besides its affordability, great looks and features,is that it is made right here in the USA.This is a great sounding amp! There really is a difference between an amp specially designed for Acoustic Guitar and Voice VS. an amp made for Keyboard. The digital effects is awesome! Plenty of power. Nice low-end bass. Soft crisp Highs. Would highly recommend to anyone either on a budget or who just wants to sound their BEST!!!I'm just taking up guitar lessons and decided to splurge by buying this amp. I'm glad I did. The sound is natural, and it seems to be built solidly. My Taos is made in China, according to the printed description on the box in which it came.
