I have always been a Rocktron user with my VooDu Valve. Love it. Needed something for the road, and at $168 on Amazon (over $230 everywhere else) this was a steal. I mostly use the clean channel since it breaks up wonderfully with use of the GAIN knob. Combined with the PUPs and POTs on my guitars (EMG's on my USA Made Prodigy, and my PRS SE Custom) I can basically set the break-up levels and tone to anything I want. Bought generic foot switches at B&H for $40 combined!! And have all I need for small gigs and rehearsal. I use no pedals with this AMP, just straight in. The lead (OD) channel is heavy over the top, good for Metal style, or OD's solo's.

I use it sparingly. The good thing is that with separate GAIN & VOLUME settings per channel you can switch over without blowing the windows out.

It has 2 x 10" which create more than enough surface to make this LOUD! even on volume level 2.

I haven't regretted this one moment, especially not, since I can use the LINE-OUT on the back to record with as well, it comes out after the pre-amp & effects allowing me to go into a different power amp.

Would have been complete with Reverb, but that is a different model. Why Rocktron decided to create a model with Chorus & Delay and a separate one with Chorus & Reverb is unclear (to me at least). I consciously chose the delay version and love it.

I tried many modeling amps, and they don't work for me. I don't like Line 6 sounds (tried from POD to the Spider Valve base), the Peavey's are not strong enough, and the Behrenger has too many quality issues.

I get all the sounds I need from this one by using my PUP switching, tone & volume knobs, plus having the Fender & Humbucker guitars, I get more than enough out of this. I learned long ago that you don't need a 1,000 effects to be a good player. You need ears, fingers, and practice. LOTS of it. :)

I needed a cheap amp with dual inputs for my new synthesizer (Novation Ultranova) for when I jam out with my buddies and this little beast hits the right note. It's dual inputs allow great sound and panning. For when I plug in my guitar, the built in effects are dynamite and were a pleasant surprise to what I needed and expected out of an amp in this price range. I play with this small amp next to a half stack and a full drum kit and it's plenty loud.

Definitely would recommend this and I will for sure buy more Rocktron products in the future!

Although I have not had this amp for very long, it exceeds my expectations. I own several other amplifiers that are larger and definitely more expensive, both solid state and tube amps. The RockTron v50D Velocity is definitely a compliment to my collection. For one thing, the sound it puts out is superb. The clean channel sounds good, and the distortion is comparable to what you might hear on an old Van Halen album or CD. The stereo chorus adds a nice widening effect on the clean channel and even sounds good with distortion. The delay is also a nice added effect that when set right can be substituted for reverb.

Overall, this is one heck of an amp for the price.

This is the second Rocktron amp I've owned. I bought the last one, a 2x12 100w, about 10 years ago and its still going strong. I ended up picking this one up because I was looking for a good chorus pedal. After shopping around and realizing that I was going to have to spend $150 for a quality pedal, I stumbled across this amp. Seeing that it had built in chorus, delay, and distortion, I decided to give it a shot. At less then $200, I didn't have the highest of expectations. Especially for a 2x8 amp. I'm in a band that gigs regularly so I didn't really expect that 2 eight inch speakers would have the punch thats needed to cut through on stage. This amp does everything my 2x12 can do and more. Its PLENTY loud, extremely versatile, and the effects are the kittys tittys. I can't believe the value for the quality of the product. I highly recommend this amp to anyone in any situation. Rocktron is traditionally known as a "metal" sort of brand. Our band plays an eclectic mix of everything from classic country to modern rock. This amp can be dialed in to make anything sound good. I primarily use a Fender Telecaster and a Gibson Les Paul. Both guitars have the distinct sound that they're suppose to have. This amp doesn't do what most other amps do and "steal the sound" of the guitar you're using. It brings out the best of the guitar. Buy this amp. I don't see how it could possibly disappoint at this price.

This is the best value in a pro tools interface software package . Don't worry about having protools 10or 11 , pro tools mp version 9'has everything you need for a home project song writers studio . Grat quality sound , a ton of plug ins and loops , offers a lot more than any pro tools express package . I've had this for a year now and unless you're running a studio pro tools mp has all the functionality to create great recordings , mixes and masters . I've had at least four different interfaces in my time and this by far has been the best. The set up was easier than anything I've used before. It came with pro tools MP9 and I expected that to already be synced up well, what I wasn't expecting was that it would be so easy to set up and get rolling with Sonar 8.5 and SonarX1. I've seen people complain about it looking scratched when it arrives, there is a protective sheet that is on so tight it doesn't seem like its supposed to peel off, but it does and then you'll get your pretty looking piece of equipment. I love the A-B-C buttons, saved me the expense of having to go get a Mackie big knob. I wish it had more 48v mic pre's instead of only 4 and the two instrument inputs, but still getting 6 inputs in any fashion at this price is great. The latency is fantastically low, with some of my previous interfaces i was always nudging my recorded tracks over a bit. I also love having the two headphone outputs, saved me a few wires getting back to whoever I'm recording. Yes its made of plastic mostly, but it's obviously designed to sit right on your desk so you can plug in and go, not really meant to be your road interface. The mic pre's are okay, they have nice low noise floor and are fine for recording a vocal straight in for most projects. They're nothing to write home about though, I've gotten a much fuller rounder sound out of some cheaper little solid state pre's, but I bought this as an interface, I knew I had better preamps. Overall great piece of gear with some great software to get introduced to Pro Tools

I am very happy with this keyboard. It has the touch-sensitive keys so the harder you push the key, the louder the note sounds. It is polyphonic up to 40+ keys which is way more than I need considering I only have 10 fingers. Even if the whole family played at the same time (which sometimes does happen) we would be covered.

It comes with the 61-key keyboard; a music book which has ~ one hundred songs (they are all numbered so you can play them in demo mode on the keyboard to see what they should sound like before you attempt to play them yourself); a power cord (not very long, ~ 6-8 feet); headphones with a converter so that you can plug them into the keyboard with the converter(which has the wide headphone opening) or into a PC, MP3 player etc. without using the converter; and a single-X stand.

The keyboard is great. I played piano 20 years ago at the intermediate level (always on a real piano, never on a keyboard), and it felt pretty natural to me right away. The keys respond similarly to how real piano keys do. I felt a little bit strange at first playing on a keyboard with 2 octaves missing, but I got used to it quickly and I actually haven't noticed the missing keys on any song I've played yet. The one thing I miss the most vs. a real piano is the pedal. I sometimes switch to a different voice in order to get the sound I want of the notes flowing together since you cannot use a pedal to achieve that effect. There are over 400 "voices" including 15 pianos, 15 electric pianos, strings, brass, ensembles and drums. My kids love to play on the drum setting. You change the voice by pressing the voice button and then typing in the number of the voice you want on the number pad. There is a metronome, beats and demo songs you can play (you just press the appropriate button and then key the number of the song, beat, etc. you want to hear). When you press the a piano keys, you will see the corresponding note on the treble or base clef on the small screen in the top/middle of the keyboard. There is also an image of the piano keys on the screen where it highlights the key you are pressing. When you have it play a demo song it highlights the melody key as it plays. The keyboard is very light and not too thick; it could easily be stored in a closet or on a shelf. As for the sound, it sounds great. I notice a very slight ringing on the end of each note, but it is very very slight.

The headphones a decent. They are great for practicing so everyone in the room doesn't have to hear you play.

The stand is ok. I've seen reviews on similar products where reviewers have complained about the stand. I just think this is the type of stand you are going to get for the price. It assembles easily with 4 screws. I've found the stand itself to be fairly sturdy, but the keyboard does not attach to the stand. There are adjustable caps on the top of the stand so you can trap the keyboard in between them a little bit. But I would be nervous having my kids play with it on the stand. I typically put it on the dining room table to play. It is portable enough that you can just pull it out when you want to play.

The music book has songs ranging from level A to level D. There are some Christmas songs (Joy to the World) religious songs (Amazing Grace) Folk songs (O Susana) and lots of classical pieces. There is good range of material and difficulty here to get started if you don't already have a music book. The keyboard comes with a curved wire rack that hooks into the top of it to hold the music. It won't hold too thick of a book, but it serves its purpose.

This was the perfect keyboard for me. I am glad I didn't spend any additional money for more features there are more than enough features on this model for me. I might end up needing those 2 missing octaves as some point, but for now I'm glad to save some space and still be able to play.

This is perfect for beginners:

* it has 61 keys so it's large enough to learn with. 88 key keyboard are more expensive.

* the keys are "touch sensitive" so the level of sound they produce depends on how hard you hit a key. This is good for beginners because it's almost like real, much more expensive, pianos. It's not the real thing of course, but good enough.

* it's very reasonably priced comparing to other options

It has many bells and whistles like different sounds and rythms. We don't use these much so I can't really compare them with other models. I assume if these are a huge factor, there are better models with more sounds and beats.

I researched this product against others and I have to say I am pleasnty suprised, I have a real piano in my den and I have this hooled up to my computer and It works and feels just like a real piano. This unit is perfectly geared for people who use professional recording software on Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. This is *not* a sound card, it is a professional digital audio interface, they're two totally different things! But, anybody that knows computer based music already knows that. I've used it with Cakewalk Home Studio and CoolEdit Pro under Windows 2000, Garage Band on Mac OS X, and Studio To Go (a Linux based MIDI/Audio studio package). Not a single bit of trouble with any program under any operating system that I've tried. The only possible downfall I can find is that there are no MIDI in/out ports on the device. I have used the UA-1X connected to several different higher end audio systems. The S/PDIF optical (Toslink) interconnect is highly underrated for isolating the relatively dirty computer power from quality audio equipment = no ground loops, no electronic chatter, squaks or feedback through the optical connections. The Roland Edirol passes better than CD quality audio to and from stereos, amplifiers and mixers = no problem found. Statements by others that the audio line input (audio capture) is not the best are true, but for the cost, the optical output alone is worth it. No software or driver hassels at all, any OS, Apple or WinTel or Linux. A great sound card replacement.

This device offers practically no control of line-level inputs. I purchased the UA-1X and was very disappointed. I had hoped to use it with my laptop as a line-in. However, I found the unit completely bypassed the Mixer in Windows, so no level adjustments could be made in XP. The unit has a two level input gain switch, but I found with the unit connected to the preamp out on my preamplifier that the high gain setting resulted in excessive clipping, and the low gain setting was too low. Practically useless as an line-in unless you have a separate external gain control to adjusted the level prior to going into the UA-1X. I would not recommend at all as a line-in. I am returning and searching for another device.

This was admittedly an upgrade from an audio component (an ASUS Xonar Essence STX sound card) that sat within a few of our audio-dedicated computer workstations, and although the Xonar Essence STX was a very, very competent piece of audio gear for its form factor, there was absolutely no comparison with respect to the sheer control, clarity, extension and unblemished sound of the Benchmark DAC1 USB.

We auditioned the Benchmark DAC1 USB next to an Ayre Acoustics QB9, which is another phenomenal piece of equipment (both pieces have been very, very favorably reviewed in many audio magazines and online resources) but the bottom line was that our workstations needed the multiple digital inputs available to the Benchmark DAC1 USB, as well as the dual headphone outputs, none of which are available Ayre Acoustics QB9.

We gave both the Benchmark DAC1 USB and the Ayre Acoustics QB9 100 hours burn-in apiece using pink noise tracks and various instrumental and vocal CD tracks played through a Musical Fidelity M1 CDT transport, an older CAL Audio Delta transport, and native LG Blueray burners attached to our computer workstations, and then auditioned each unit with Have, AudioQuest and Kimber digital inputs via the USB, AES and coax inputs of the Benchmark DAC1 USB, and via the USB input of the Ayre Acoustics QB9, since the Ayer only accepts USB input. The speakers used for auditioning were Mackie HR624 MK2's and Neumann KH 120's, all connected to the DACs via AudioQuest King Cobra XLR or Kimber Hero XLR interconnects. For lower-end bass testing, we also tested both DACs using both a Velodyne MiniVee and Focal Sub6 subwoofers in conjunction with the aforementioned studio monitors.

In terms of the sonic landscape, the extension and control of the lower registers was phenomenal for both the Benchmark DAC1 USB and the Ayre Acoustics QB9, as was the breathtaking clarity of the midrange and cleanness of the upper registers. Some of us thought that the Ayre Acoustics QB9 may have had just a very slight advantage on a few occasions when it came to the decay of notes in certain source material, but this was not uniformly agreed by everyone, and even by those who thought it to be an advantage, there were times when their vote shifted to the Benchmark DAC1 USB when other source materials were played.

In the end, however (at least for us) the slightly greater openness sometimes heard in the Ayre Acoustics QB9 was nowhere near enough incentive to rationalize the Ayre Acoustics QB9 costing more than twice as much as the Benchmark DAC1 USB. In addition, the Benchmark DAC1 USB had a notably smaller footprint, which made it ideal for the workstations where it was to be deployed. The footprint wasn't the ultimate deciding factor by any real means, but we thought it worth noting for those who may be looking for a USB-connected DAC for their home setups.

In all, the Benchmark DAC1 USB is a giant killer representative of the best that digital audio has to offer. Very highly recommended.

The clock would get stuck on one and not seamlessly handle the next, so frequent reboots were the norm. The Benchmark DAC1 has changed that forever because the clock is so rock-solid that it never ever loses synch on playback. That, plus the obvious 20% bump in audio quality, makes it worth every penny.

I have just purchased my USB1 DAC....What an improvement over my creative titanium hd sound card. This unit has a good amount of flexibility,and the Head phone amp is quite good especially for hi z headphones. USB1 Even gives you a choice of Headphone jacks . Light but well designed unit, My biggest pro is that the unit has a very transparent output and does not color your music.

Also you can increase the volume by removing the jumpers (10db pad) and then give the headphone amp tremendous volume for your cans. XLR out can also be increased by moving the head jumpers to a different position.

I am not utilizing these headphones in the capacity that they are designed for, but they work great for the gym. I continually go through headphones as one side goes out or they go on the fritz like the Beats by Dre headphones. I replaced a Mackie 1202 with this unit when I went to all software instruments for recording. Plenty of ins and outs, and I can discern no difference in sound quality or noise level. I run a pair of big powered monitors out of it as well as headphones. Behringer gives great value and quality especially for prosumer level recording. Have used for a year now with zero problems.

Update 2 years 3 months later, still going strong, no noise no problems..a really great value.

My first order arrived with a defective talk-back microphone. Just today I have received my second ordered device and it now functions to my expectations. I also do not detect any additional audible noise introduced by this device. The other reviewers' complaints regarding introduced noise and hum may be caused by either a defective unit or very likely a result of faulty cabling, adapters or nefarious ground loops. This compact mixer is a great bargain and possesses all of the basic features I require.

FYI Velcro sticky back hook & loop tape is great for securing lightweight audio devices such as this from tilting and sliding around.

This is a nice little product, and I own other Behringer products I've always been impressed by their quality vs. price.

However, I am a little disappointed in this item for a simple reason it's noisy.

I have a quiet system, but when I ad this unit I get a buzz. I've tried to isolate and remove the buzz, but the only thing that works is removing this mixer. It also picks up interference and electrical pops, that weren't there before I added this.

To be clear, it's not a loud buzz, but it is audibly noticeable. Since the AC adapter is not grounded, I can't even try to eliminate it with a ground lift.

Seriously, I've tried disconnecting all items from the system one at a time. I've tried multiple power circuits for the various items. It is definitely the unit.

My next step is to return it and see if the replacement causes the same problem.

Like others, I'm using this as part of a small home recording setup. In my case, mics and sources connect to a Behringer UBB1002 mixer which feeds a Creative E-MU 0404 USB audio interface. The MON800 inputs are connected to both the mixer and the audio interface so that I can quickly switch from monitoring the live mix to monitoring playback from the audio interface. Outputs of the MON800 feed a couple of pairs of headphones and a pair of Behringer B2031A powered monitors.

The MON800 is dead silent in this setup unless I turn the output levels past three o'clock (very high), and the frequency response seems to be flat across the useful range of listening levels (measured using True Audio RTA). I have used the talk-back feature to coordinate second part recording with a musician in another room. Works great. Crazy functionality for such a low price!

My only gripe is that with lots of cables connected, the device is physically a little unstable. The front lifts off of the table, making it easy to slide around if you're not careful. I may try some large self-adhesive rubber feet on the back to make it grip a bit better. I would not mind paying up to double the price for balanced in's and out's (to support longer cable runs), but for what it is, it works great for me.

I have a PC monitor in my kitchen, which has VGA, S-Video and RCA Video inputs. I hooked up a digital TV tuner, a computer, and a video feed from my amplifier which is in the living room. But I needed a way to combine the audio. This does the job. Using a switching power strip, when I turn on the monitor, the MON800 turns on. Now I get the sound from the DTV tuner, or I can fix dinner while watching what's on the DB-player in the living room. Would have been nice if it had a remote, so I could have selected the sound input (the monitor, tuner and PC sit in the basement and are controlled by a IR-repeater), but for now it works. Eventually I will be hooking up a 3-piece computer speaker set, but it works well with the cheap PC-monitor speaker. For this unusual application, the MON800 does the job very well.

This is the best product I have ever purchased. I looked at expensive turntables with recorders built into them and was not impressed by the costumer reviews. I decided to try this as it was very low cost and got a good review. Well I can say that it deserves more than 5 stars because it does everything and does it easily. Just load the software into you computer, then hook the provided red and white RCA cables from your turntable into the converter, then plug the converter into your computer with the provided USB cable.

The software walks you through what to do next, I needed to call the support line to get the converter to recognize my turntable (this was fast and easy, the person who helped me spoke English and quickly guided me through setting my laptop within a few minutes), then I simple continued to follow the directions to just begin the recorder and start my turntable, that was it!

There is a great feature which lets you visually set the volume recording level to make sure that you do not over amplify and "peak clip" the music, once you set it to a good level it stays there, that's it.

This software DOES separate the tracks for you (some of the expensive turntable recorders didn't even do that), and I just let the recorder keep running and flipped the album over to record both sides, which makes not difference converting to mp3s.

Once the recording is finished you manually put the album title and track titles on it and push done and it automatically puts the album into your iTunes library.
