Not a lot of products excite me like this one did. I'm not sure what to say that hasn't already been said on the JamHub website or by others who've reviewed the JamHub. Practicing with others through the JamHub is the same quality as listening to and practicing to an MP3 or CD. Plus there won't be any more volume wars and no chance of making your family or neighbors crazy with your music...or chaotic noise (as you learn a new song). Even better was getting very quick email responses from the nice folks at JamHub. That alone sold me on this product and this company. You can't say that about all the big companies who make music. Some can't be bothered to return calls or answer email. Buy a JamHub and you won't be disappointed. A great investment for practice or jamming with others!

We use our Tourbus in a church 3 4 times a week. We have 4 different teams of musicians that use it. The first Tourbus we bought had issues on channel 6 and it was exchanged for another. After one year 2 of the the 1/4 inputs are loose and noisy and may not even work at all. I have had to buy 1/4 to xlr adapters (w/transformers) to use the XLR inputs instead. The unit itself is not very friendly with other equipment. I take signals from the headphone outputs when possible but line outs from guitar amps and some direct boxes are very noisy. On our old system we would take the left/mono signal from a guitar pedal and send it to the board, then take the right signal and send to our headphone amp, no problem. On the Tourbus it creates a loud hum...some compatibility issue I guess. Every Sunday I spend 20+ minutes trying different combinations of adapters, cables, etc to get it to work. On the plus side JamHub has agreed to take it back under warranty and look at it. Still, that's time without a monitor system, shipping, etc. I think it's time to buy the P16 system for our digital Behringer X32 board.

The GreenRoom has a lot of really useful features to play in a group, be able to hear yourself & others at your own controllable volume.
Only downsides to this unit:
1. Power cord does not want to stay in the JamHub
2. I do not believe the unit is power-isolated. If a guitarist were to plug into the JamHub from their speaker jack on their amp, it could fry all connected electronics. No bueno, but glad it hasn't happened to me.
3. The knobs don't all have the same tension (there are a lot of knobs on here). It would be nice if some weren't looser than others to maintain a consistent level when traveling.
The first item I got had a few defects & had to be exchanged for a new unit, but the second unit worked great.

The first time we used it, was a very easy set up and within the first song I looked around and my 4 other band mates were all grinning ear to ear, pretty good testimony right there. It sounds really good. very happy with the unit. I would of gave it 5 stars easy if it wasn't for what has been already mentioned in most every review, The reason why I gave it 3 stars, because it has the worst power supply connection imaginable, the first time you plug it in you think, man this is gonna break. It's a 4 pin connector, the weakest type there is, it feels like your plugging into a sponge, loosely. I hope someone at Jamhub sees these reviews. I can't believe they would do this to a otherwise perfect product that is worth every penny you pay for it, to bad. they need to retro fit these units.
after a month I have to upgrade my review from a 3 star to 4 star. The unit is really great, great sounding. the power supply might be suspect, but if your careful it should last.
The customer service is excellent, nice guys, said if my unit had a problem they would send me another one for free immediately.
Up to 5 stars because they read this review and contacted me assuring me they have had no issues with the power supply connection and if I should ever have one a replacement was ready.
also you probally will need the headphone extension cables. we gave the ext. control pod to the drummer, everyone else has to move to the unit to adjust their mix. if you could afford it all 7 inputs can get an extension pod so everyone can sit away from the unit, but it isn't needed. keep jammin'
I just had my first band practice with my JamHub GreenRoom, and these are my initial impressions.
Pro(s):
1. It was simple to use, requiring no/minimal use of the "quick start" guide.
2. Practice went later than normal because we didn't worry about the neighbors calling the cops.
3. Once I got the hang of using the levels, then adjusting overall volume, it made for an EXCELLENT mix.
4. The effects were plenty good for practice, and good enough for recording scratch tracks.
Con(s):
1. There is no power button. I'm not sure why this bothers me, but it does.
2. The power cable connector is flimsy and the cable doesn't "seat" well. It comes out far too easily and doesn't really feel like it's in, even when it is.
3. No independent adjustment of effect level per singer. It's not a deal breaker, but I thought I should mention it (see workaround from (4) for why this came up).
4. The stereo inputs require purchasing of at least 2 mono-to-stereo adapters in my case. They're only $3 each, but out of the box, you're not ready to go (you can get around this by mic'ing an amp at low volume and using an XLR input but this defeats the silent practice promise).
5. No ability to modify volume of the singer on channel 1 independent of his guitar. Workaround would be to use an extra input for vocals, but there aren't that many inputs. The dual-knobs would have been nice here.
Verdict:
Buy one. The build quality isn't up to snuff for a $500 item so you may have to treat it with a little extra TLC. I'm just not sure that it will last due to the cheap feeling knobs and flimsy power connector. But... even with the gripes I have, I can still wholeheartedly recommend it. Our practice went smoothly, everybody got their mix, my singer LOVED that he didn't have to yell to hear himself, and I could finally hear the bass without shaking my neighbors windows.
