Bought this because I'd just gotten a bass and needed an amp. It was cheap and I have to say you get what you pay for. I do have some things I think I should point out:

1) It's super distorted even when not on overdrive

2) it's louder than it looks, I was really surprised when I plugged it in.

3) this is more suitable for a solo practice amp for beginners only if you're new to bass and your parents complain about the noise this is a good amp for you

4) Not sure if this is really a bass amp, because of the distortion coming from this amp and distortion I've heard on guitar amps, it sounds more like a guitar amp than a bass amp. It does work with bass, but if it really wasn't made for bass (Got a new amp so I don't use this one any more) it could blow out the speaker if you play too long or too loud.

BE CAUTIOUS, BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

I bought this amp to practice the bass as long as I keep it soft it works fine. Gets a bit staticy the louder it gets.

This cable would be OK for a set of headphones but you should not use it in the signal path between a source device, like an MP3 player or computer, and an amplifier. The shielding is so poor in this cable that it will pickup a considerable amount of 60Hz EMI (aka hum) and you won't like the results.

I bought this cable to connect my high-end Dell portable computer to the Sony pre-amplifier unit of my home entertainmenet system. I wanted to use my portable as an MP3 player since it's a lot easier to program and create playlists on a 17" computer screen than any of the portable MP3 players I've seen. When I had everything hooked up I experienced a very noticeable hum from my stereo speakers even before starting the player application on the computer. At first I thought I had a ground loop so I removed all other external cables (power, usb, ethernet) from the computer, running it on battery only. Still the hum persisted. Even with the AUD-1100-25 cable unplugged from the computer the hum persisted.

I then replaced the AUD-1100-25 with a pair of RCA cables w/ RCA to 1/8" stereo adapters and the hum went away. The RCA cables were hand-made with some quality shielded cable with the connectors hand-soldered by me. What a difference. So, that's what I ended up using.

Although I think Monster Cables and the like are a way over-priced, this product has gone too far in the other direction. I don't recommend this item if you're going to use it in an application that will amplify the signal (and noise) coming through the cable. It's easy to see why this cable is so cheap.

Whenever the cable bends near the connector the audio crackles. Tried with different cable and it doesn't crackle. I wish I got a higher quality cable.

**update** Crackling is tolerable if you don't move the cable near the connectors. Works but not highest quality. added 1 star to 3 stars.

Worked fine for a little under three months. Now when the cable is flexed at the connector's strain relief point some of the audio cuts out.

Well, this cable is what it is. If you're looking at one of these you probably already know why you need it, what you might use it for, etc..

It is a nice long cable for a nice low price. The insulation on the cable is as thin as it appears in the picture, but that's how these cables usually are; that shouldn't really impact the sound quality anyway. (Well, it won't impact the sound quality any more than the difference in using a 1-foot compared to a 25-footer would impact your sound quality, for example). Personally, i use the cable to connect my laptop's sound card to a stereo system for amplification when i'm out in the kitchen with the laptop playing tunes while i cook or whatnot.

These are the best sounding headphones I have ever owned, and I have owned many pairs over the years (including Sony, Koss, JVC and others). The Bluetooth technology makes them very easy to use without having to connect any wires to your stereo or other listening device. The sound quality is very good. The only slight issue I have with them is that you can't adjust the fit, they tend to slip down over extended listening periods. I also appreciate the rechargeable lithium ion battery, which has held a charge for multiple hours of listening (I have only had to charge them up once over the last two months).

They were easy to pair with my Bluetooth phone (BB Q10) and they sound great with my Neutron music player. However, I have not been able to pair them up with my Sony PS3 system for some reason, still investigating what the issue might be. Regardless, I can recommend these to anyone looking for a pair of high quality wireless headphones (and I bought them when the price was only $38.00, normally $130!).

I've worked on every sort of mixer you can imagine from full Mackie consoles to Allen & Heath Xone series to Pioneer DJM series to Rane rotary mixers. As a dj I've used the cheapest in the industry and the best you work with what you have in front of you at the party. Some mixers can provide a miserable experience (ahem low end numark hate the eq, the phone levels are always low.) So I didn't expect much from this mixer but Gemini come correct for the price point. Provided excellent sound to my setup. Phono preamp is CLEAN! This is the primary reason I bought the mixer to use for sampling into Maschine / MPC. The output level is not as loud as I would have hoped but it's clean and acceptable for the price. Crossfader is more fun than I thought it would be. Only 2 bands of EQ but they have a nice sound and again I don't expect 3 band EQ for this price. What I needed this mixer to be was sturdy, clean sounding and utilitarian in my setup. It's working perfectly and the sound is transparent. Recommended.

This is a bit overpriced for what it is. It is very simple and does not have a lot of functions like crossfader reverse and slope adjustment. If small size is critical, it's fine. Power switch is in back and headphone jack is in front, so you pretty much have to use it on a tabletop. I was not able to find a replacement crossfader.

I've been a radio/tv studio engineer for 40 years and do tech support for several online radio stations and utube subscribers. I can't believe how well this little mixer performs. I have it set up on an old IBM laptop and use it to generate station i.d's, liners, and commercials. The sound is as clean as the 24 channel board I use on the air.

Set up took 10 minutes..and it is very straight forward/simple to operate. You sure can't beat it for the price.

I bought this to take to Afghanistan on deployment so I could practice while I'm here. Its rugged enough that it made the trip with no problems, but I practice it without headphones so I can more easily match the sound with the resonance of the instrument. The headphones sound fine, but I prefer to play without them so I can concentrate on the natural vibration of the instrument.

I used it at a country gig the weekend before I came and plugged directly into a Fender Tube amp sans preamp or equalizer, but wasn't happy with the sound too high. I didn't have time to experiment with tweaking the sound, so thats probably less about the instrument. I enjoyed having the quarter inch jack to plug into instead of having to worry that I was going to scratch the wood on my regular violin with the pickup grip.

While deployed, I've been able to plug the violin into my Bose desktop computer speakers and it sounds much better than through the fender guitar amp. I'm actually considering using that on stage next time, but I plan to expirement with an equalizer first. The best sound I've ever gotten out of an amped violin was at Toby Keith's restaurant gig in Oklahoma where I went into the PA via a direct box and into a powered monitor. So, I think its only a matter of time before I find an acceptable set up for this violin.

Just like all Rolls equipment, very sturdy! I was bummed to find that it comes without the thumb screw, though, to secure it to the microphine stand (pictured), and multiple trips to Home Depot's screw aisle still haven't resulted in a successful match. Thanks goodness for duct tape and low stage lighting!

Either Rolls changed their mechanical design on the bracket, or the headphone amps. Out of four PM50s headphone amps, the bracket directly fit only two. Two brackets lined up correctly on two headphone amps. The other two brackets had only one hole in alignment. The bracket holds the headphone amp, but with only one screw. I will have to modify the bracket to add another screw for extra stability.

This clamp would have been 5 stars if it had a larger circumference to not only fit on a Microphone Stand but also a Drum Tom Stand. It can be spread and retrofitted with a Channel-Locs and Pliers, but you shouldn't have to.

Rolls clearly thought a good deal about this design. The mounting holes for your device are down further on the plate (below the label) to ensure that there is plenty of room for the cables that attach to the back of your device. The mounting screw is set up for the thinner part of most microphone stands, as that's likely the spot that your hand is able to reach most easily. I know some have complained about this feature, and I was at first a little annoyed that it wouldn't mount to the larger diameter barrel, but I use my Rolls PM351 every week and I can't play my instrument and make adjustments without this bracket being on the upper barrel. Great product!

Want Rolls MSC106 Mic Stand Clamp for Rolls Accessory Boxes - (New) Discount?

I used this to attach my Rolls PM50S Personal Monitor Amplifier System to a mic or cymbal stand for live uses. The only small issue I have is the mounting hole in the back is too small to fit any stand except the top small pipe of a mic stand. It is hard steel so I had to use a pair of vise grips to open it wide enough to fit a wider stand.

Even though this product has been discontinued, I think they did a great job on the design, I still use it. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it only has one firewire port and M-Audio does a horrible job with technical support. It would be great if it had a second firewire port to hook up an external hard drive.

They don't make them like this anymore, now M-Audio only makes usb midi controler/audio interfaces. Too bad! Even though M-audio hasn't yet come out with the driver for the new OSX Snow Leopard, I still managed to make it work with the old driver but only after I reinstalled it a second time. The the first time there was an error message telling me to uninstall and reinstall the driver. I have the new 13-inch unibody Macbook Pro and it works perfectly with Ozonic. It works great with Propellerhead Reason, Garage Band, etc.

Bear in mind this is a first impression after getting them and testing them out, and I paid considerably less than the current $87.

I picked these up to use as a FOH monitor headset. All I was looking for was reasonable quality and portability. I've just tested them out and was pleasantly surprised.

Pros: relatively inexpensive, Folding and rotating circum-aural (around the ear) cups, Sturdy construction, flat audio response, good isolating fit.

Cons: isolating fit is leather (maybe fake leather, I'm not sure) so it does get a bit sweaty in there. And the rugged construction means they're a bit on the heavy side.

I have a few songs I listen to just to check out sound systems and here's what I found. One of the songs has a 13khz hiss that these headphones recreated accurately, another song has a 35hz pedal tone that runs through most of the song. Again these headphones did just fine (I've worked with PA systems that can't do that.

I tried to test they're claim to 3-D sound, even to the extent of listening to some binaural recordings from the FreeSoundProject. I can't say as I hear any difference than with the pair of Sony MDR-CD180s I had to compare them to.

Overall these headphones are great at playing back just what you put into them, and nothing else. That's just what I want, headphones that don't color the sound with their own EQ curve. They're sturdy, compact when folded, and priced just about right for a cheapskate like me. I'm not going to wear them for an 8 hour flight, but I'll grab them every time I'm doing a gig.

I'd be happy to buy them again.

I "settled" for these headphones because I didn't want to spend the $300+ for the truly high-end Ultrasones. I knew I was spending much less-was a giving up much less?

In some ways, I wasn't. The build quality of these headphones is superb. They are very tough and sturdy. They have a very long cord which has endured all kinds of abuse, and used a threaded adapter to go from 1/8" to 1/4" (which is preferable to a simple plug-in adapter). The quality of the plastic is first-rate; these are not come cheap ABS molded parts, but appear rather tobe a fiber-reinforced nylon of PMMA of some kind. They don't scratch easily, and I have been absolutely delighted with the overall feel of quality materials and construction.

Sound quality is good, but not excellent. It is superbly balanced. While at first it appears they lack a sense of "air", you really can hear fine details. I was listening to some demonstration tracks put out by Royer Labs in support of their superb ribbon microphones. Included in the demonstration was an A/B comparison of two microphones that only differed in that one was vacuum tube and the other was solid state. The ribbons and transducer assemblies were identical.

My ultrasones had enough resolution that the subtle improvement in spaciousness and clarity offered by the vacuum tube microphone was plainly heard compared to what the solid state version of the same microphone recorded.

Sound quality is good enough to where I would say it's "good enough" then. It is good enough that the headphones are better than the source material, as most hyper-compressed modern CDs and certainly MP3s lose enough detail that the headphones cannot put back.

What you give up for the low price of the headphones is comfort. The ear cushions are firm and not particularly thick. They do not isolate much exterior sound. I do not have a particularly large head, but the Ultrasones clamp to my head very firmly. The excessive clamping pressure of the headphones combines with thin ear cushions to give a pair of phones that is uncomfortable for extended use. The headband cushion is similarly too firm-it creates pressure points on top of your head.

These headphones deliver a very lightweight, well-made phone that sounds very good but straddles the line between discomfort and pain when used for longer periods. They are actually pretty uncomfortable from the first wear, as the ear cups are a little too shallow and too small in diameter. My average size ears don't fit completely inside them, and that (along with the excessive pressure and lack of cushioning) make them pretty hard to recommend.

I would still DEFINITELY recommend the Ultrasone brand, but I would recommend one of the more expensive models to get a more comfortable phone. You could always go with the Sennheiser HD280s or AKG K240s, as they have both been around forever and proven themselves.

Buy Ultrasone HFI-450 S-Logic Surround Sound Professional Headphones - Black Now

Amazing headphones!

Pros: Warm sound, tight, responsive (not overpowering) bass, dynamic soundstage and all for a great price (way below the listed price)! I compared them to my Bose quietcomfort 2s and Klipsch S4s and they pale in comparison.

High trebles that sound shrill on the S4s and muddled bass on a couple of David Guetta tracks on the quietcomfort 2s sounded great on the HFI-450. Live music sounds fantastic, especially with complex symphony tracks; being able to discern the individual instruments and precise locations.

MP3s sound great and feels like I'm listening to them for the first time with the HFI-450s.

Cons: Packaging is pretty bland and dull. But then again, who keeps the box after opening it.

The ear cushion pads feel abit stiff initially, not warm and supple like the quietcomfort 2s. However, after extended use for 3 weeks, they are pretty comfortable and not really noticeable when wearing them anymore. Be patient with the ear pads!

Although it is foldable and portable, wish they provided a sturdy carrying case and not a soft cloth bag to store it in. Afraid it might be damaged when stuffed in a bag.

Wire is extremely long (3 meters) which is perfectly fine in a home audio setting; but I mainly use mine while transiting. Have to wire-tie the excess cable into a bundle and hide it in my pocket. Not the best look but a practical solution.

Conclusion: A FANTASTIC entry-level introduction to the Ultrasone headphone series at a very wallet-friendly price. Sonically wonderful, while the form and comfort factor could use some improvements. I give 5 stars as the comfort and form don't cause a hindrance to the listening experience, but more like I'm nitpicking at areas for improvement. Will definitely get a high-end Ultrasone model after using this great starter.

Reviews on headphones can be tough because everyone's needs are different. I produce a lot of electro, progressive house and dubstep as well as enjoy listening to it primary uses for these cans are gaming and casual listening and music production. I have owned multiple pairs of headphones as well. Able Planet, Sennheiser HD 280 Pro, Audio Technica ath-m35, Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro. I can say for the price these are better than those I listed.

The pros about these cans are they DO NOT have a clamping force. I'm a glasses wearer and I have a huge head too measurements for my hats are 7 3/4. I was able to wear them comfortably for long sessions and even with lower ear fatigue.

Sound Quality:

5/5

Bass is noticeable but doesn't drown anything out and isn't overbearing even in the dubstep songs I have tried that are bass heavy artists. Skrillex an Rusko. Highs are not overly bright and mids are clear and not muddy. The overall soundstage is fantastic. For gaming they have very accurate positioning and for mixing and tracking they do a great job at leading you to the best possible mix small adjustments are very noticeable.

Build Quality:

5/5

Solid construction doesn't feel like I'm going to break it the cable like in other reviews is very thick which I like as well. Feels solid overall.

Isolation:

The best isolating headphones I had we're the sennheiser Hd280 pros but as a big headed man and a glasses wearer over a long session I would develop pressure headaches and migraines. Relieved only when I removed the headphones. These are better I don't feel like I have to have the volume as high as the 280s in extremely noisy environments. The ear pads are about equivalent to those in the 99$ price range with around the same level of comfort.

Conclusion:

Best isolation, sound quality and construction for the money for long sessions whether its gaming or music production these do not fail. Ear fatigue is much better and I look forward to putting these cans on everytime!!

This is one hell of an amazon.com bargain; It's bigger than my last one, has more features, and the tone quality of the keyboard is superb. I am very happy with it, being a singer I need a good keyboard that is not pitched high but square on the notes, such as this one. It sits on my computer desk and can be easily put to the side with no fuss. This is a great value for the price and a very high quality instrument to boot!

For the price, this keyboard is freaking awesome (I ended up trading in a few Wii games for Amazon credit, so this only ended up costing me $30). This keyboard is *huge*, the sound is pretty good, I love playing around with the instrument settings (especially Vibraphone and electric piano), and it actually comes with an AC power cord, headphone plug-in, and sustain button (things that apparently other more expensive keyboards don't necessarily have). It also just sounds good, and the upkeep is so much easier than a real piano. I have found myself playing most days, which is awesome since I haven't consistently had access to a piano since I was a child. I think I read a review somewhere that there's a metronome setting---not sure. There's so many buttons I haven't even learned yet. Finally, the amount of pressure that you have to put on the keys is very comfortable---I've played many pianos where the pressure to apply to keys was very awkward, so I had to push them so hard that the sound came out jagged. This keyboard actually makes me sound great :). I recommend this item.

Read Best Reviews of Huntington KB54-100 54-Key Portable Electronic Keyboard (Silver) Here

I will not sugar-coat this: This piano is cheap. If you need a piano for performance, this is not the piano for you. If you want a really inexpensive one for practice, or are only nominally interested in having a piano, then this is more suited to your needs. Because of the shortness of the keys, there will doubtless be notes you can't play perhaps frequently if you play nothing but classical and baroque music.

For some perspective: My grandfather owned a music shop, and as a child and young adult I owned a $700 electric keyboard that was perfect in every way. Having gone without any access to a piano for six years now, I went on the hunt for something inexpensive that would satisfy my need to play. I find it good for getting by, but it is by no means my dream piano. Mostly it is for a bit of playing and to practice choral music.

-Headphones: For most regular headphones, you are going to need a cable. The usual small gold thing isn't going to work. I bought a YMR-197 from Hosa Technology. Try this one: HOSA STEREO 3.5mm PHONE (F) TWO RCA (M 1-TIP AND 1-RING), 6 in. If you don't get one, you can't use headphones.

-Sound quality: It is perfectly fine on piano and most of the instruments. There is a wide variety of different types of instruments, and all sound similar or identical to instruments of the same names on more expensive keyboards.

-Quality of Material: The plastic used to make every part of this board is thinner than most other electric keyboards. However, it is very light and seems durable. You'll be able to see electronic circuitry below the keys.

-Guided practice: The visual display is limited, and the keys don't light up, so the only way for guided practice to happen with this keyboard is with audio. The song isn't labelled and I am still not exactly sure how the guided practice works, but if you can figure it out it would probably be great for learning non-visually.

-Compact: This thing can fit practically anywhere. It would sit nicely on a student desk. I am currently using a chair to sit it on.

Problems:

-54 keys: I wish I could have justified spending more money to get a longer keyboard, but that really isn't possible right now. While it is possible to play a large variety of songs, Bach is somewhat disappointing. I am saddened to find I can't play an extremely important note in the Toccata en Fugue in D minor. That was the main song I was hoping to work on with this keyboard.

If you can afford it, you will probably be much happier with a longer keyboard. However, $30 is a lot of money for about one octave, and could practically pay for another of these smaller pianos.

-Display: The display is one of the weirdest things on here. If you are trying to select an instrument, you won't see the numbers display digitally, despite the display being perfectly good.

-The songs: This piano comes with eight pre-loaded songs, but there isn't a listing for them anywhere. To play a song, you can either hit the 'song' button or the demo button. But to select a different song you have to hit the 'demo' button again two times. After you've done that, hitting the 'song' button will play that same song.

In all, if you are looking for a piano this cheap, you have doubtless already decided that you can make some sacrifices. This piano is full of those, but is definitely a very serviceable piano.

Received it yesterday and so far so good. It's a good package for what you've paid for. My only complaint is I bought this thinking it was an 'electric' keyboard i.e. no batteries required. However, you still need 6 'D' batteries even when you plug it in with the adapter. I was a pretty disappointed since I am trying to reduce our battery consumption. Nowhere on the description or manual (that i can find) does it say you need the batteries for it to function. It should have been listed as a battery operated keyboard.

This item is much bigger than I thought it would be, tons of features, great sound. Am I ever glad I ordered this. The shipping was pricey but well worth it. I would have given it 5 stars but just got it, so no idea of longevity yet. I will update after I've had it for a while. I am very, very pleased with this purchase!
