We purchased four of these. All four quit working within 3 weeks. I would not recommend this product.

There is no information in the product details of this splitter that indicates in detail what it does. It splits one stereo output to two mono outputs. So if you want to share listening to music with a friend, this is not the jack for you.

Price is about right for a great little product to share with your spouse or partner while traveling I bought this so we could watch a movie on a I-pad durning a flight to Las Vegas. Did not affect the sound and both of us didn't have to share 1/2 of an earphone.

I have been playing violin for three years now and I felt it was time to take the plunge into the electric violin world. I was also looking for something relatively inexpensive since my main violin is on the higher end. This was the perfect choice.

Sound Try as it might, it just can't replicate the sound of an acoustic violin (which I wasn't looking for anyway). It can get pretty close though and all in all the sound is nice. The pickup is good, not the best quality but it does its job pretty well. As for being silent, it is quieter than an acoustic with a mute, but not completely silent.

Construction/Look The body is nice and solid unlike some of the cheap online instruments you can get. The finish is well done and the ebony pieces with mother of pearl inlays look rather nice. The inlays fall flush too, nothing sticking out at all. The pegs don't slip at all. The only thing I could find wrong with the construction was the bridge. It was a bit too high but that is a very easy fix. A little bit o sanding and its good to go.

Extras It came with a bow, aux cable, headphones, case and light rosin.

The rosin I put aside because I prefer dark rosin.

The headphones are fairly cheap but they work well enough that I'll use them until they break. Don't expect an amazing sound quality.

The aux cable is pretty standard and I had no issue with it.

The case is actually pretty decent. It lacks the durability and quality of higher end cases, but it does what it is supposed to and protects your violin. The zippers on mine get stuck once and a while.

The bow is not half bad either. The wood work and inlay are well done. I think the rest of the bow is brazilwood. The bow doesn't stick when tightening or losing it like cheaper bows.

I definitely recommend this if you are considering an electric violin and aren't looking to spend $800. You'll get more than you paid for and be very happy with it.

I love this violin so much, it sounds great and looks great. I'm not rating the bow. It's a typical cheap bow but it works just fine. My only issue with this thing has to do with the bridge. It is so oddly shaped... It slants upward, making the G string MUCH higher than the E. What I'm used to is a perfect arch for a bridge. The G and E are even, and the D and A are even, both slightly higher than the G and E. From what I understand, this gives a better ability to switch strings. I believe it. My acoustic violin is very easily played, perfect arch, and I love it. This electric I love also, but it's sooo hard not to hit the G string while playing the D, It just feels weird. I'm either gonna shave it down or have it replaced. Bridges only costs a few bucks, that's why I'm giving this instrument a 5 star. I do wonder though if there are any advantages to this Bridge design? Thanks in advance.

As for the rest of it, totally amazing!!! It's surprising, the headphones feel really cheap but there's no delay in the sound. The strings are not bad at all for a company violin. The pegs are super great, and turn very nicely, but I would suggest some peg drops because they tend to slip at first. It comes with all fine tuners which is awesome, it looks so sweet. It's heavier than my accoustic, however, which I don't mind. You will DEFINITELY need a shoulder rest. The bit of body it has it slippery, naturally, it's an electric violin, but it's so beautifully shaped. I can hold it ok without a shoulder rest, but I wouldn't risk it. I know after a few complaints you would expect a 4 star but really, all I have to say is GET THIS VIOLIN, I would go on and on about all the wonderful stuff. I named mine Chalotte :D. Great tone, great price, great quality, great pegs, great scroll, great form, great feel (except the bridge...), etc.

Only complaint:

1. Freaky Bridge (at least to me)

Only suggestion:

1. This would be 100% irrestistable if they included a shoulder rest. But I just use the one from my accoustic. I highly recommend KUN for a shoulder rest.

I researched electric violins for over a year because my daughter wanted one so badly. While I found that I obviously couldn't afford a high-end violin, or even a mid-level one, I also didn't want to get something cheap and unplayable. I finally settled for the Cecilio after reading quite a few reviews on several different sites. Most of them said the same things; good sound but would need to replace the bridge and the strings, so I bought the Cecilio fully anticipating a need to make those extra purchases. When we got the violin, however, everything was perfect, the sound is amazing, and we didn't need to replace anything. I honestly don't think that the difference in quality for a name brand would come close to making up for the difference in price.

The only recommendation I will make is to purchase a shoulder rest, we did not buy a new one, thinking she could use the one she has for her acoustic, but we have since found that it does not fit properly and is really inconvenient. Definitely get the shoulder rest, but hold off on the bridge and strings until after you have played it.

This violin was my birthday gift. The color is great, and the quality of the voice is awesome! I have been playing Violin, guitar and one other traditional music instrument called Santoor since many years ago. This violin is one of my bests. I plugged it into my guitar mixer and it sounds well. Even if you don't have a mixer or an AMP, don't worry. The violin by itself has a very loud and clear voice.

The price used to be around $400 (according to amazon!) but now you can get it for less than $180 (140 + shipping and etc). I also ordered a Violin Shoulder Rest for about $15.00 so that let me play professionally. You cannot easily find a good quality violin electric like this in the market with this range price.

Overall, I am happy with it, Thank God.

This is a budget-priced electric violin. I bought it to use mainly as a silent fiddle during trips where I would otherwise not be able to practice. I have been playing for three years as a late starter. My usual fiddle is a loud German instrument totally unsuited to playing in hotel rooms.

The Cecilio weighs more than an acoustic fiddle, but is well balanced and not too heavy to play comfortably. You plug a headset into the jack on the back of the fiddle, which requires a 9-volt battery (included). Alternatively, you can plug it into an amp or powered speakers with the (included) cable. The bridge is held directly on top of the pickup and seems impossible to place incorrectly. The strings are steel and probably cheap, but can be replaced. I haven't felt the need to do so yet.

The pegs could be a little better fitted, but with careful adjustment and the use of the four fine tuners, it's not hard to tune this instrument. It has a conventional chin rest and accepts my Everest EZ Series Shoulder Rest for 4/4 Violin without a problem.

Tone: sweeter than most acoustics, I suspect because it's generated by the pickup in the fiddle and not by the instrument's body. There are adjustment knobs for volume and tone quality. One drawback is that all the player's hesitations, string noises, tiny errors, etc. are part of the sound mix--sounds that still occur on an acoustic but never get to the listener's ear. There's no hiding with this fiddle. I doubt that I'd use it in a performance, but it's a good, quiet practice tool. It comes with everything needed to start playing (except skill!). The case is a shaped case that has room for everything you might want to carry.

Price is $169 plus shipping is more than fair for the quality. Even my teacher likes it. And it looks good, too.

I used to own 6 very large discos in the 70's and 80's in major cities across the U.S., with capacities of 1,500 to 3,000 patrons. And very early on, in the days of vinyl records, when you looked at the inside art that went with albums in those days, you often saw pictures of the rock artists in the studio, singing into the studio microphones, recording their music and when the closeup shots included singers wearing headphones, they were always wearing AKG. Back in the days of "no Amazon reviews available", that told me more about this brand of headphones than I needed to know. Thus we started purchasing AKG headphones for all of our DJ booths and bought many of them over the years. And although I am no longer in that business, I still purchase AKG headphones for personal use at home. I listen to concert videos, movies, and CDs with these headphones and find them to be absolutely phenomenal in their performance. You feel like you are right there in the studio or concert hall listening first hand and with such clarity that it is amazing. So do not hesitate for a moment to purchase AKG. You are making a decision based on years of professional performance satisfaction by the top artists in every genre, from rock n roll, to blues, to country, to jazz.

The only thing you need to be aware of, regarding AKG is the basic difference between two styles of headphones. They have supraaural and circumaural. Basically what this means is that one style fully encloses the ear with pads that extend out beyond the ear, which totally isolates from the outside. The other has pads which rest on the ear itself and does allow some outside sound to be able to be heard (such as your wife yelling at you to come give her a kiss :-) You do not lose any sound quality or performance in either one, it is just a personal preference as to whether you want to hear someone speaking to you when you are wearing one versus the other. One other consideration, if you wear glasses, is that the style which rests on the ears, can get a little uncomfortable if you wear them for a full concert DVD or for more than an hour or so, due to the slight pressure they will apply against the ear and thus to the stems of your glasses in that area. When I wear that style, I simple lift the stems of my glasses enough that they rest above the area of my ear that is being compressed by the headphone pads.

I do happen to have both styles in my home system. Usually so that a companion can listen to the incredible sound experience of concerts, with two of us plugged into a y-connector. Enjoy the best which has remained the best for over 40 years or more. Oh, and one last thing. AKG got more customer centric when they modified their headphones to accept plug in cords at the headphone, which used to be hard wired to the headphones. Back in my club days, the only reasons we had to replace headphones were because, a)the earpads would harden or wear out, or b)because our DJ's would be moving around a lot with them on their heads and that would eventually degrade the hard wire connection where the cord entered the headphones, rendering them inoperable on the right or left channel when the wires inside would break. With the new style plug in connector, if a cord goes bad, you dont have to replace the headphone itself....just the cord. And I have never had a speaker go bad in the many sets of AKGs which I have purchased over the years.

I got these at the Starving Musician in Berkeley, and for a little less than they're selling them here. I'd have been happy even if they were a little more. I'll always try to buy from local businesses first.

Anyway, I think they're great. They weigh 7.9 ounces...not enough to push your skull down onto your neck, as the other reviewer implies. Do some yoga buddy. They're really sturdy, and I find the strapping system very comfortable. I also like the fact that they come with a couple cords (a nice long straight one and a coiled one)that are both replaceable. There are also two options for the ear pads, leather or microfiber. And they sound GREAT! Yeah.

These headphones sound great, and can certainly take some abuse. I have worn these probably 3-4 hours/day, 5 days a week for nearly five years and never had a single problem. They can get uncomfortable and warm when wearing them for that long, but that's to be expected. The build quality is great, and the only thing that I have to do is change out my ear pads because I've worn them off from usage. I have recommended these headphones to several audio geeks and musicians, and they love them too. I strongly recommend this product, or one of AKG's higher end headphones. You will not regret it!

I have to say it doesn't look the same as this new model... back when it was called KB/60.

BUT MAN has this thing paid it's dues.

13 years of use... countless rehearsals... I had a DTX 2 I got with it... now it's on a TD9.

I've loaned it to DJ friends... musician friends for MONTHS on end... it's been in storage... through a gazillion blackouts in the caribbean plus weather... and it is still going... all functions, all knobs, it HASN'T been cleaned in any way... this thing is damn nearly indistructible... if the new model is like this one, get ready for 20 years of service.

It's not a Leslie but it will work for a bedroom. A bit heavy for this old man but has a good sound. I don't know where the distortion point is as I can't turn it up loud enough and still have eardrums to tell. I keep it around 2. Compliments my Korg and UltraNova very well. I am only a closet player and 25 of my closest neighbors that hear the sound through the walls. I can make the windows rattle around 3. Haven't used channel 2 or the PA yet. Wanted a 12" speaker instead of the KB2.

Good amp for the price if you don't mind the weight.

After I purchased a digital drumset, I realized that I also had to purchase a monitor speaker to hook my drums up to. When I checked this item out at the nearest music store, I was amazed at how clear both the high and low end frequencies were!. It may have been heavy at first, but nothing that the addition of wheels to the bottom of it couldn't fix.

The fact that they require batteries to go through the part that plugs into my amp is bothersome enough. But, the cord is short, and during practice kept falling off my ears. I have since stopped using them. So, consider them a waste of money.

I am a DJ and I have to disagree with some reviews saying that this headset is durable.

Sure, the cups and the bend are sturdy and solid, and the sound quality is excellent.

However, the problem is the plastic cover, which ... erm... covers the section where the aluminium slide....erm... slides in and out.

Take a look at the product photo; the white plastic part with CE engraved.

This part is held together by two tiny screws, each screwed into a very brittle plastic mount inside the cover.

The tiny mounts inside the cover, into which the screws are screwed into, are too weak and will break under pressure. This is clearly a design fault.

Two weeks after I bought this the left one failed. I got the headset replaced, and within a week the right side part flew off during a live mix, leaving me with the right earcup helplessly dangling by the wire.

These are by far the best headphones i have ever owned. I was lucky enough to receive these for Christmas from my girlfriend, and i am more than pleased. Being a musician for most of my life, sound quality is extremely important to me and these headphones do not dissapoint. They are capable of reaching frequencies FAR lower than i have ever heard in a set of headphones while still maintaining outrageous sound quality. They are extremely durable and have a very pleasing look as well (I got the Ceramic Mint model). They are a limited edition set with a very nice numbered plate on the side. I highly recommend these to any music enthusiast, or anyone looking for superb sound quality. Not t mention the fact that these are under $100 is an absolute steal.

I got these recently from one of their authorized retailers in LA, and I really like them. But there are a couple things to know about them. First, they're "plastic." Probably some sort of nylon derivative that's quite stiff, but they're still plastic for the most part. As a result, they don't feel as robust as my Sony MDR-V6 or many of the other "DJ" headphones one might be cross-shopping for. Also, the installed pads had very small openings and sat "on" my ears, but the included alternate set fit great around my ears instead.

The other "issue" is the sound. The bass and mid-bass are great, especially when compared to the MDR-V6 (more of a monitor than traditional headphone), but the highs seem "veiled." They're attenuated slightly, and it seems around 10kHz and higher. I'm still working them out to break them in, but normally that process loosens the drivers to deliver more bass rather than treble. However, I'm hopeful. :-)

This a great buy. I am a old man who took piano as child but gave it up in favor of baseball and soccer. I'm very impressed with this keyboard. No problems with the stand, it was very easy to put together and they keyboard fits on it just fine. The keyboard itself is very nice and the piano sound seems very high quality, have not really tried out many of the other features yet. My 11 year old said "I'm bored" just as this arrived at our door, so we took it right out of the package and set it up. He has never played before but seems to have a knack for it and has spent most of his time playing since it arrived. The headphones don't seem to be the highest quality but they work and I love that I don't constantly have to hear what he is playing. We did use the instructional CD and are able to hook up my PC to the TV (which is not required). The songs on the CD are antiquated, but you have to start learning somewhere. Overall I'm impressed and very happy that we bought this.
