Let me tell you that this keyboard is different from anything they sell out there. This is not a typical Casio keyboard. I don't know what it is but that's not Casio. :)

This can be your beginner toy keyboard, or this can be your full blown production studio. It is up to you how you use it.

First of all it looks cool for a $220CND that I paid for it at Axe Music. It was sitting next to boards that cost many times more and I almost went by it because it looked similar to other ones. Then I saw a price tag and thought "What a ...?" I played with it for few minutes and it sounded not bad for that money. Then I went home and started to do research on it. A sequencer??? Multiple effects? SD Card slot? I decided to buy it for a controller and thought that if it could do something else good, it would be a descent deal.

Once I started playing with it, I could not stop.

Guys, it is a serious machine. It requires alot of time, reading of a manual, and patience to get amazing results. But it is worth it.

The sounds it comes with are not bad,...until you start to modify them. It is hard to believe how much power that synth has. It was like playing with my old Roland d50 again creating new tones. Unbelievable! Just that feature alone worth buying it.

Also, it has a sequencer! A cheap Casio? Keyboard splitting function. Pitch Bend Wheel and Modulation Button. 32 channel mixer. Are you kidding me?

Important. Make sure you hook it up to GOOD speakers or GOOD quality head phones. The built in speakers are OK. But they will not help you with creation of high quality sounds and music. Once you hear it the way designers wanted you to hear it, it is a whole new world.

So far my only real complain is the dial button. This is the main button and it is very difficult to spin effectively.

Seriously, if you are into a music making entry and looking for a real bargain. Go get it. It is plain simple. You can not buy a USED keyboard with LESS power for this money. Period.

Had bought the Casio CTK6000 for the practice room to stop wear and tear on my Korg Triton and Roland Fantom X. But after tailoring the sounds (in functions), I prefer using this Casio over the other boards on gigs where the sequencing and workstation isn't needed. I would have NEVER thought a Casio would live up to my high expectations, but seems Casio is something more now than the cheapness they were. Very, very pleased.

I bought this to take piano lessons, and it fits the bill fine for that. 61 keys are plenty for a beginner, and it's got a built-in metronome, which I need. It's got a ton of other features which I haven't begun to explore. Sometimes the sound is a little distorted, but 99% of the time it's absolutely fine, and for the money, I think it's a great value.

I've worn this headset for 6 years to teach aerobics classes. It gets sweaty, bounced around and spit on but keeps on working. I teach in many different facilities and the sound quality is completely dependent upon the sound system the microphone itself delivers high quality sound if used with a quality sound system.

One recommendation if you use it for teaching aerobics spray Scotchguard on the windscreen (foam ball over the microphone). My first headset went eventually developed some problems due to corrosion from the sweat and spit. I Scotchguarded the windscreen on the next one I bought and have had no problems with it.

Reviews seem to be split down the middle on this item. From what I can tell, the people who liked this mic were those who know how to equalize. Those who don't like it should learn how and it'll make their lives easier. Microphones need to be equalized or at least run through a pre-amp to get a good sounds out of them, and this is no exception. With no pre-amp and just a little bit of equalizing this thing sounds absolutely beautiful. It picks up the highest highs and the lowest lows and accurately reproduces them. As an active performing musician I can say with confidence that this headset mic meets all of my needs. Whether I'm rocking out on the drums or playing a piano ballad, I always have the mic just where I need it. Don't hesitate to buy it!

I bought this mic for my son who plays electric guitar, so he can hear his voice over the instrument amp when he's practicing. It's great in that he doesn't have to play around with a boom stand and having to angle the mic to get the pickup level he wants. He can practice in a lazy position on his bed or on the couch, without having to ditch the mic, and it sounds as good as your setup will let it sound. I run it straight to an acoustic amp with 6 band eq, and it sounds no better and no worse than my SM 58. The pickup is not as sensitive, though, so it needs a little more amplification to get the level you want, but I guess that's a good thing for this kind of mic. The only thing that I'm really concerned about is the durability of the cable. It is very thin, and feels a lot more fragile than say, a usb phone charger. The XLR connector is made out of really thin plastic, and could probably break if a heavy person sat on it, so I'm going to have to insist that my son restricts the use of this mic to those under a certain weight limit.:)That may become an issue as time goes by, but hopefully my son can avoid mistreating this thing, and we can have a few good years with this product.

As a (mostly) solo acoustic performer, I've been looking for ways to eliminate the amount of stuff between me and my audience. A good pickup on the guitar was the first step, a head-worn mic was the next. The mic needs a bit of equalization and is very quiet (a pre-amp with a 20db boost would help there...more shopping!), but once eq'd and balanced out, it works a treat. The only thing I truly don't like about the mic is the length of the wand: I wish it was just 3/4 of an inch longer: it sits right at the corner of my mouth and if I turn and put any tension on the cable at all, it pulls away and 'vanishes' almost completely. That said, I'm glad I bought it, and I would probably buy another if I needed it.

I've owned a Tech21 Trademark 10 (and a Trademark 60) for a number of years now, so when the 30 came out it was a no-brainer to buy one. This amp is essentially identical to the Trademark 10, with more output and a different speakerbut that additional 30 watts makes a lot of difference.

The 10 was a great practice and recording amp, but didn't quite have enough oomph for playing gigs (although some guys ran the output into the PA, which worked well). But the 30 is a LOUD little amp, and it seems to have a bit more low end, too. I'd have no problem at all using this little amp for gigs in small or medium sized halls.

Like the 10 it replaces, the 30 has a tremendous range of soundsit can mimic just about any amp you've ever heard. And the reverb soundsomething usually skimped on in tiny ampsis gorgeous. The box contains a real 3-spring Accutronic reverb, just like the big boys. Thinking back to the Fender Princeton I started with as a kid, this little amp has far more sounds, it's twice as loud, and adjusting for inflation, probably less than half the price.

Strongly recommended as a practice amp, a recording amp, a performance amp for small venues, a travel amp, a front end for running into the board in big halls... the possibilities are limitless. Maybe the best little amp on the market today.

I don't often write reviews but I feel I was very lucky to come across this amp. I was initially determined to buy a small tube amp but this just blew me away: great sounds like many bands at any volume. I've had the 10 watt version for 5 years but it can't match a drum kit, hence their new 30 watt version which is so sweet sounding. The company really deserves top marks on this, I wish I'd had something like this when I was learning as a child at home too.

I love it just like any other electronic toy it takes time to get use to. I basically use it clean and put some effects between the amp and guitar to get the desired hands free use I wanted. I carry it back and forth so at 14 pounds it's amazing. I bet the TM 60 is even better but don't hesitate to buy it..if you are looking. The XLR output is one of the things I like about it the most. A good player can get a range of amazing sounds out of this thing. If you are a player that wants to make loud noise (without skill) this is NOT the amp for you.

look it up for yourself if you don't believe me. you can get a knock-off for a hundred less, but you'll sacrifice quality in every way. also, all imitators of this amp have infringed patent laws. too many cool things about the amp to state here, go to tech-21 website for details, then come back and buy it. and in case you're thinking ANY combo amp will eliminate the need for effects pedals, you're wrong. delay pedals can be put into a loop in the back, and others can go directly between guitar and amp. THIS LITTLE BABY ROCKS! Also, had to call Tech-21 customer service: prompt attention and really cool people.

I do a fair amount of video work, a lot of which is at my church. In various situations, I will need a lapel mic, and others a stereo feed from my shotgun mic (used as a boom mic) or from the board mix. This is still the only device (at least only affordable device) that I have found to be able to do all those things, most of all the stereo wireless transmission.

The audio has no latency that I can find -as one other review seemed to indicatespeaking as one who watches mouths or drums or anything else closely and listens for the sound to match up. Perhaps he is more precise in measuring it than I, but I cannot detect any latency in the sound whatsoever by my ear.

The sound quality is quite good, it sounds every bit as good as a normal 1/8" line, and very much better if there is any distance over 20'. The transmitter works over a pretty great distance without walls, probably around their claim of 100'. With walls, it seems to be much shortened, just using it walking around the house listening to music from my laptop. I don't feel this to be a problem, as I always have sight line when using it.

The battery life is at least 2-3 hours, though I haven't gone longer without charging it, as it would be a major setback for the batteries to be depleted while I needed to be using them. It does give a low battery indication on the LED flashes, but beyond that there is no way to know the amount of battery remaining that I am aware of.

One note, somehow in my skimming of information online before the purchase and the quick start guide, I had the impression that it would be set for stereo line in from the first time I turned it on. I later discovered that I had used it in the passive guitar mode instead of stereo line mode, which is why it always sounded like an ocean in the background on sound from the board or boom mic! Make sure you learn about the modes and set them properly or you won't like what you get!

Overall I am very pleased with my purchase, and would recommend this item!

This is the 2nd time I have purchased the WI Digital Wireless for use with a guitar. Got this one for our bass player. They both work great, but have a small amount of delay. The 2 units do not interfere with each other and up to 10 transmitters can be used without any interference. The delay is really not an issue, but if one is particular about small minor problems then you should look else where for a wireless unit.

there's a delay between the note being played and the note sounding. It's very noticeable and distracting if you try to use these as instrument wireless system. I have used them at four gigs as in-ear monitors. The latency does not bother me when I use them this way.

I also have a line 6 G50 wireless system which does not have this problem.

These are well built, easy to use, and the included cables and case are very nice.

I recently went out on a limb and ordered 2 of these systems to be used simultaneously as a way to send wireless signal from an analog mixer to two powered speakers. The speakers were within about 50 feet of the transmitters and had reasonable line of sight. My initial tests seemed ok until I tried to use them at an event. I lost signal to one of the speakers multiple times and could not seem to make any adjustments that would resolve the problem. On a positive note I went to the website, left a note on their forum and recieved a phone call within a couple days. A very polite man explained that the two transmitters need to be seperate from each other or the signals get confused. Sounded like a reasonable explanation so I ran some tests using each system independantly and had the same issues. For my puposes this is just a chance that I cannot take and decided to return the product. I want to be fair and say that the system seems like good quality equipement and does perform the task it was designed for. I am just not sure how reliable the connection will be. Too bad because I was excited about the concept. I have since discovered that the companay will be marketing a product specifically for wireless speaker systems. Maybe there is still hope!

I don't know much about music, but after tinkering around with "Virtual Piano 2.0" I decided to give the real thing a try.

Browsing online I saw that there were literally dozens of different keyboards out there, many at affordable entry-level prices. So what made me pick this one?

PROS--

EXTRA FEATURES: Sure, you could buy a real basic model for less, but sooner or later you're going to wish you had a few extra sound effects and knobs to tweak. The Yamaha has a nice display with a blue back-light, which makes it easy to see which note you're playing.

SOUND: Plug in some Bose 2 Quiet Comfort headphones (worth every penny, believe me) and you can bang on your keyboard all you want without disturbing whoever is next door to you. The sounds and sound effects that this keyboard produces are really amazing, everything from pianos to church organs to brass, world sounds, guitars, choirs, drums and special effects.

NITPICKINGS--

SIZE: Call me naive, but I thought it would be a little bit smaller, like small enough to fit in a large footlocker. Not quite. Fortunately the box is pretty good if you toss in some extra foam when you ship it. I wouldn't really call this keyboard portable, though. As much as I'd like to bring it to work I'd consider it too much of a hassle and just leave it where it is.

EASE OF USE: The basic actions like playing the keyboard itself and selecting a "voice" to use is really straightforward. However, other actions like transferring data to and from the keyboard to your PC is still a puzzle to me (granted I haven't tinkered with this that much). And as I'm still a beginner, there are lots of functions I have no clue what they do or how to use them, which is good in a way, because that leaves you something to discover later on, giving your keyboard more "replay value".

CONS--

ACCESSORIES: About the only thing that might turn you off is the fact that you need to buy the power adapter, headphones, USB cables to plug into your PC and foot pedal all separately. Or you can just buy a Survival Kit (which comes with a foot pedal that didn't work, cheap Koss headphones, a CD and the all-important power adapter. So whatever the price of this keyboard, make sure you factor in all the accessories you, unfortunately, need to buy separately.

OVERALL--

As this is my first keyboard, I have nothing to compare it to, but I feel like I got my money's worth and I'd definitely say it's worth 4 stars out of 5.

The Yamaha PSR-E403 keyboard has been replaced by the Yamaha PSR-E413 as of May 2008. The two models look almost the same and are EXTREMELY similar in terms of features, though E413 has a few upgrades (165 vs. 155 styles; 100 arpeggio functions vs 50; etc..). The two are so similar, in fact, that purchasing the PSR-E403 at a respectable discount below the PSR-E413 is something new musicians on a budget should consider. Check around for the best prices and then make up your own mind if the upgrades are worth the additional expense.

Bought this for my daughter to start lessons on, and am very happy with it. Sounds great, isn't too large, has volume control and headphones for when we don't want to hear it. Way better, though less romantic perhaps, than having a great big piano in the living room. My daughter loves the pre-recorded music that came with it as well, and now my wife is starting to plunk away and learn it also. Sounds exactly like a real piano, or you can choose many other sound effects. We paid a bit more (around $65.) for a good stand for it, the cheap ones will not hold it effectively, see reviews elsewhere.

this is a very impressive product... a small piano with great sound... I am glad that I did not buy it from Amazon however since Sam Ash has it in stock for a third less money $199...it do pay to shop!!

I'm a college kid who has fun playing the keyboard, mostly just teaching myself songs and playing along by ear.

I also write some songs through software arrangers and this keyboard works fine with the midi drivers provided (I'm using windows 7, 64 bit).

Noteable Functions:

*So many great voices and 'styles' (beats)

*synthesizer functions are great, especially when playing along with techno songs!

*Simple to use arpeggio maker and harmony maker

*'Performance Assistant' is the biggest cheat I've come across, only letting you play the notes in the chord being played

*works with any sustain pedal (resets polarity when turning on)

*Good speaker range

Cons:

*menus are a bit difficult to change settings in (you press the function menu, then flip through the 55 categories to find what you want, but it's mostly technical settings)

*Yamaha makes you want to upgrade your keyboard with flaunting the slightly better models

*You have to wait 3 seconds after turning the keyboard on before it allows you to change anything (it turns on to just the piano, displays "YAMAHA" then lets you do whatever you want after 3 seconds)
