I read a review here that the color of their headphones influenced their review......say what?!?!? I have had some wonderful headphones that were great except they were uncomfortable after 30 minutes. I bought these and IMMEDIATELY experienced a lightweight, sturdy, (although plastic it is sturdy....but plastic IS lightweight)crisp sounding headphones. When people say the sound is muddy or the mid range is not good, I would suggest they adjust the equalizer on their device. The adjustable equalizer on a device is there to adjust the different types of output devices. Any headphone cannot make a poorly tuned device sound much better, unless the quality is poor across the range.

Ok. Now for the person that understands that some fine tuning is needed for quality, I marvel at the range of sounds that feel like they are just to the side, behind or ahead of me. A concert sounds like I am sitting in the middle of the instruments. For the price, the positive comments I get from others and the perfect sound, I will keep buying and recommending these for others. These headphones actually will transmit the pressure of the fingers on the strings from a cello or guitar.

A side note: I work with equipment that are constantly setting off sounds and noises that indicate the condition they are in. I listen to the smallest detail to make sure the equipment is in good running condition. I know what good sound is and even the smallest pop would bother me.

I actually bought a pair of these on ebay and have rarely used them. Tested them again today and I will agree the audio quality is very good when the source has an EQ (in my case, Samsung Note using Power Amp app). They appear heavy but are actually pretty lightweight. I compared them to my Go Groove Air Band and noticed more audio detail in the Pros. Only recommendation for others who are not satisfied is make sure your source has an EQ to hear the full benefit of sound from these and other headphones. Final tip: the more you use them, the more your ears get accustomed to the audio production. Sturdy and solid sound for the $$$.

First of all I received the yellow color pair of these headphones so I was already disappointed from the start.

pros:

-long cord

-fairly adjustable

-cost wasn't too much

cons:

-uncomfortable. The whole headphone had a very "plastic" feeling to it

-poorer quality of sound compared to many of the other headphones on the market, namely the Sennheiser HD 202. Even with an amp it sounded weak.

-cord may be a little too long for some people?

-design seems prone to breaking

So I got these the other day because I'm in college and needed an affordable DJ headset for mixing at parties and such. After looking through a ton of reviews of different products and all of the ones on these headphones, (the different color ones have reviews, this one just hasn't had any yet), I decided to go with these.

Pros:

-Good overall sound quality, no apparent distortion

-Really cool look

-Well built, pretty flexible

-Comes with 2, 1/4 inch adapters, one of them being a 90 degree angle, and a nice bag for the headphones

-Long, but not obnoxious cord length

-Great price

Cons:

-These WILL hurt your head after about 20 minutes, when they say DJ headphones, stick to DJing with them. I DJed 2 party's this week and they were fine for that because they are on and off your head most of the time (one on ear, one off). I tried using them to produce in FL 10 and I had to constantly take them off to avoid a headache.

-I noticed after a decently long period of time, the cushions got a little sweaty (granted it was really hot in the room), but still something to make note of.

-Sound cancellation was okkkaayyyyy, if that's really what you are looking for then these aren't for you.

-One last thing, one of the reasons I got the neon green was because I thought that it would glow under black light. It kinda doesn't really...the stitching on top does, but the green plastic itself does not, just something to keep in mind as well.

Overall, if you simply want a pair of headphones to DJ with at an affordable price these are great. If you are looking to do anything else with them, look somewhere else.

American Audio makes pretty decent stuff. most of it is a copy of Pioneer's more expensive products. but my experience has been that they are fairly durable and work to expectations. the last pair of headphones I owned were American audio and they lasted me 4 years before finally breaking at the swivel joint at one of my gigs. It wasn't too disappointing though because I'd already beat the ever loving crap out of them before that. if you take care of these they may just last you a lifetime. word of advice though, if you feel a little ambitious you can replace the headphone jack with a gold plated heavy duty one from radio shack. the aluminum plating on the factory plug tends to where off after about a year of use and can cause one side or both to stop working. Easy fix for someone who can solder like myself. well worth the amount of money spent though. Love the green so thats what I went with. its nice and bright! does not glow under black light like some people might have though. I wouldn't expect it too though, this isn't phosphorescent coloring.

These headphones are bass monsters, but are about as lo-fi as you can get. There is very little clarity, detail, or soundstage to them, and they are probably the worst sounding of the 12 or so pairs of headphones I currently own. I can only describe their sound as hollow and flat in the high and midrange (bordering on monotone), which is lost behind buckets of bloated bass. Now, I will say that the sub and mid bass response is pretty incredible when properly amplified, and doesn't distort easily, making them an ok choice for some electronic music without vocals.

The build quality is fairly solid, but the finish is a bit sloppy, and the first pair I received arrived with a defective mini plug.

I would return these headphones, but I got them practically free on a lightning deal with a promo credit. So, I keep these for when my friend's kid needs something to use with her iPad, or any other scenario in which I don't want to risk harm coming to a better pair.

I will say that these do improve a fair amount with burn-in, and I can't comment on how well they work for DJ'ing because I do not use them for that purpose. I have heard that DJ's sometimes montior their mixes in monotone, and perhaps that is exactly what these headphones are trying to accomplish. They might be great for DJ'ing I wouldn't know. I will tell you these are not good at all for casual listening. To give you an idea of my preferred sound signature, I listen primary at home with a tube amp, cmoy, or E11, and my favorite pairs of headphones are neutral and analytical, like my MDR-V6's, and AKG Q701's.

I give these 2 stars for the price I paid ($5.71), and because they function, and have good bass. The current asking price of $50 is about 4 times what they are worth, and had I paid that much they would've gotten 1 star and a return label. For recreational listening you can get a far better pair for $20, and I do not recommend these for that purpose.

Well if you need lots of functions and a bus mix for effects this is not for you. But if you play say some small coffie shops or small gigs where you dont need alot of inputs or what you need is to run a iPod or some other device and 1 mic line (this does not have phantom power) then this is for you. I use this for very small gigs where I play guitar flamenco into a Fishman Aura which then goes into my Trace TA 50R UK model into line one, then for the second line on the amp I run the Mic line to the UB 502 and plug a Shure Mic, Line 6 PodXT Pro, iPod, and a Mac G4 Powerbook, it works great becase I dont use any effects nor do I need to ajust the tone. Its small to fits in the palm of your hand about two times the size of Plam Piolt.

I've wanted a mixer for a long time now, and I finally got this one. At first I wanted the next biggest one, the UB802, I think. When I was thinking about when it when it would come. When it did, I was almost unsure what it was when I saw the box! It's so tinyI thought it would be much bigger (Guess I didn't look very hard at the product description!)

It's amazing the sound you can get with this and even a cheap pair of speakers and a microphone (I use a Behringer mic, also. Ultravoice.)

I'm quite happy with this and if you're looking for a mixer on a budget, this one will be amazing for a small home studio. However, if you want to make something bigger, you'll want to get one of the bigger models in this series (Behringer UB).

I work in the field of on-line education, so I sometimes find myself needing to pull audio from different sources into my computer. This unit handles multiple inputs well, has a variety of input types (XLR, 1/4" phone plugs, RCA jacks), and does a good job of adjusting input levels between different sources. It seems to be pretty quiet, too -doesn't add any extraneous noise to the audio that I can tell. It's also portable, an important feature when you may need to record something on location.

Recommended.

I wanted to get something simple to plug a mike with a XLR adapter into our computer to record an acoustic guitar and voices. This was perfect. It has a 2 band EQ, which made the guitar sound great, when I tweaked it a bit. Works like a charm. If you don't want to spend a lot of bucks for features you don't need, this is the thing for you. Oh, did I mentiom how nice and compact it is?

This is perfectly sized for my audio podcast and voice recording applications. Good, solid, basic. It's all I need.

One caveat: if your microphone requires phantom power, be sure to get a separate power supply--I must've picked the only Behringer model that doesn't do it!

Otherwise, it's a keeper.

I purchased this Sony ECM-DS30P mic to use with my Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera. I wanted a little better sound capture at not a huge price. I trust the Sony name brand in sound equipment and the price was right. The total length of the mic is 2.2 inches (56.5 mm) and its' diameter is 0.45 inches (11.42 mm). It does capture sound in digital stereo. I haven't used any soft or hardware to determine the sound quality compared to the built in mic of the video camera. It does sound better to me, but don't get it twisted, it doesn't come anywhere close to the mics I use with my hand held HD camcorder. This mic does have a pivot point which allows you to rotate the sound capture head up to about a 45 degree angle. Because the external mic port on my Kodak cam is on the side, plugging this mic directly in would have its' sound capture ports (remember it is a stereo mic) facing up or down or front to back. Not ideal! Therefore, I purchased a 90 degree stereo adapter (with a male and female connection) from my local Radio Shack. It allows me to rotate the mic in almost infinite positions including straight down by the pocket cam's side for easy storage. There are probably better mics out there, but let's keep it real, for the price and quality and its' intended use this Sony ECM-DS30P microphone is hard to beat. I will up load some photos shortly.

As a radio/tv broadcast journalist, this compact microphone allows me to record spontaneous interviews in broadcast quality. This is a superb microphone and worth every penny.

Very nice unit, but doesn't seem to work with iPhone 4. I suspect it requires more power than the iPhone delivers through the mini-jack. It would be nice if they specified that the mic isn't for iPhone. I'm still looking for an inexpensive directional mic for the iPhone.

I use this with my digital recorder whenever I have a traffic stop start to go bad.Its clear as a bell and when the defendant takes me to court and starts to lie that I was a rude officer,I whip out my recorded conversation for the judge and catch the defendant in a lie.Great microphone.

I bought this, like so many other people did, for the Kodak zi8. Some folks on the Internet will try to tell you that the zi8 has a powered microphone plug. Don't believe it. Kodak sure doesn't make any such claim. Maybe there's a tiny bit of power going through that plug, but it's not nearly enough to power an electret microphone. With recent firmware updates, the Kodak zi8 actually has a pretty darn good internal microphone. In any case, the internal microphone is significantly louder, and picks up less buzzing than the Sony ECM-DS30P. To get the same volume from this mic, you have to crank up the gain, which gives you a terrible static sound. I can only assume that the people who like this microphone are deaf, or obsessed with stereo separation. And that really is the only benefit of this mic. But, how important is stereo separation if you're shooting on a Kodak zi8? Unless you already own an external power source, do not try using this mic with the zi8. I'm shipping mine back, and I'm gonna try a regular shotgun mic. Audio-Technica makes one that's cheaper than the Sony + power source.

I ordered two of these. Neither worked AT ALL. Returned both of them. I suspect the weak link is the detachable cable connection. For just a few dollars more, I have found MT830CWTH microphones to be extremely reliable and have excellent sound quality. I was just trying to save a few bucks and liked the idea of the "over-the-ear" style headset, but the fact that I got no audio signal at all out of these mics was very disappointing. The good news is that Amazon has a very good return policy!!

If you are looking for a basic DJ mixer, and don't have a ton of audio equipment and mics you need to use at your gigs, look no further. The only improvement this thing could have is, what you'll find in more expensive makes. Sound is decent, clear, and has no noticeable circuitry issues. I bought this cuz i bring 2 laptops out to my gigs and i have a dual cordless microphone unit. Done! Easy and not a ton of extra features that almost no one uses now that most DJ's spin from laptops anyways. Great Find!

Beautiful cleans and crunchy overdrive reminiscent of much more expensive Orange tube amps. Even at just 12 watts it is loud enough to let the neighbors know you are a guitar god. The 6" speaker will give you some nice tones, but doesn't have the trouser-flapping abilities of some of the larger speakers. Perfectly suited for a practice environment.

Lovingly assembled by factory workers in China, the materials feel like some of the more expensive Orange models.

My only complaint is that the three-way EQ doesn't seem very dymanic. I'm still happy with it and can get sounds worth recording. Five stars.

I've had the amp for about two weeks now and have thoroughly enjoyed practicing and playing around with it.

Build/QualityWhile the side of the box says "Made in the PRC" it hardly qualifies as a "cheap product". The amp is made of wood construction and feels really solid. The knobs on the top respond great. I've moved the amp around pretty often and have a bad habit of resting my feet on top of it while playing and it never feels like its going to fall apart. Plus, who can't say the orange exterior doesn't stand out, it looks great!

SoundI was looking around at getting a cheap modeling amp like the Fender Mustang I but after playing with it I ultimately decided that I didn't really like the pre-made sounds and even though the software allowed me to 'create' sounds it just didn't sound right. This amp has a total of 6 knobs and I've been able to make a really nice clean sound as well as a crunchy distortion; even my distortion friendly ESP has a nice clean tone. Not having these sounds pre-made has really allowed me to experiment and discover how this amp can sound as well as how my guitar really sounds. I haven't had the desire to hook up any pedals as I've pretty much been able to create anything I need with what the amp gives. This amp has enough volume that it will still bug the neighbors at its full volume but might get washed out in anything larger than a small practice session.

OverallSuch a great value with a solid sound. The only thing I wish this had was an AUX IN, tuner or 1/4" headphone jack like on the more expensive models but for the price you can't beat the quality you get here. Highly recommend as a simple and great sounding bedroom/practice amp with none of those crappy modeled effects to mess with!

This amp I don't believe was designed to play in a live environment, but if you aren't planning on that this amp is a real gem. I have a full size tube amp that I use to play live but was not enjoying lugging it around to lessons or for practicing at home with a jam track.

I was pleasantly surprised by the tone even considering it is coming out or a 6" speaker. Very nice, round tone, full bottom end. I was also surprised by the 3 EQ Settings, Volume, Overdrive and Gain settings. So you can play with overdrive and gain while controlling the master volume which is very nice on a model like this. It does have plenty of power but can 'tone down' very nicely without stomping all over the tone.

Bringing this to lessons has been wonderful. Light and all in about an 8 inch box with a handle for under $100. I have been able to directly connect and really haven't had the urge to use any stomp boxes so far. The tone has been great.

I got this amp today, and out of box it sounded great, but once I played around with the controls, I got it to sound absolutely amazing. This Amp is Great for every genre of music such as jazz, blues, rock, classical, except for Heavy Metal Shredding---BUT IF YOU HAVE THE PROPER ACCESSORIES TO GO WITH IT FOR PLAYING METAL, like pedals, pedalboards,etc. which a lot of decent sounding distortion pedals like Boss's Distortion pedal is only $29.99-$49.99 depending on when and where you buy it if it is on sale or not, and so many more great Metal, Distortion, & Overdrive pedals out there on the market today for insanely low prices I'm not going to waste time listing them all, that THIS AMP IS DEFINITELY A MUST FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDS A GOOD PRACTICE AMP or BEGINNER'S AMP for their guitar (my first guitar amp was a First act or some other Cheapo discontinued amp that was a piece of garbage and only lasted a few days and cost the same if not more than this AMP does too! If I would have had this as a First amp as a kid, I think I would Still definitely have it here today and it would still be in great working condition like THIS AMP IS ALREADY TO BEGIN with!)). So Like I said this IS A GREAT AMP AND HAS BEST CLEAN SOUNDS that an AMP of its size on the Market can put out and IT CAN PLAY EVERYTHING (every music genre), EVEN METAL: as Long as you have the proper accessories to GO WITH IT! SO MY OVERALL REVIEW is REALLY A 4.5/5 Stars and that is given that I'm a Musician and a very Hard Grader on Music equipment! SO WHAT are You Waiting For, Get This Amp, You Won't be Disappointed! The Amps Come in both Orange Color and Black Color too by the way so don't freak out if you get a Black one if you don't have the option to choose the color! I prefer the regular Orange Color and edition But Both Are Great Sounding! 4.5/5 Stars!!!! This is a steal for that price for an Amp like this for Electric guitars (not Bass Electric) so give this one a chance and give yourself or your kids the chance to really hear what a Real Electric guitar can Sound Like!!!
