This cable would be OK for a set of headphones but you should not use it in the signal path between a source device, like an MP3 player or computer, and an amplifier. The shielding is so poor in this cable that it will pickup a considerable amount of 60Hz EMI (aka hum) and you won't like the results.

I bought this cable to connect my high-end Dell portable computer to the Sony pre-amplifier unit of my home entertainmenet system. I wanted to use my portable as an MP3 player since it's a lot easier to program and create playlists on a 17" computer screen than any of the portable MP3 players I've seen. When I had everything hooked up I experienced a very noticeable hum from my stereo speakers even before starting the player application on the computer. At first I thought I had a ground loop so I removed all other external cables (power, usb, ethernet) from the computer, running it on battery only. Still the hum persisted. Even with the AUD-1100-25 cable unplugged from the computer the hum persisted.

I then replaced the AUD-1100-25 with a pair of RCA cables w/ RCA to 1/8" stereo adapters and the hum went away. The RCA cables were hand-made with some quality shielded cable with the connectors hand-soldered by me. What a difference. So, that's what I ended up using.

Although I think Monster Cables and the like are a way over-priced, this product has gone too far in the other direction. I don't recommend this item if you're going to use it in an application that will amplify the signal (and noise) coming through the cable. It's easy to see why this cable is so cheap.

Whenever the cable bends near the connector the audio crackles. Tried with different cable and it doesn't crackle. I wish I got a higher quality cable.

**update** Crackling is tolerable if you don't move the cable near the connectors. Works but not highest quality. added 1 star to 3 stars.

Worked fine for a little under three months. Now when the cable is flexed at the connector's strain relief point some of the audio cuts out.

Well, this cable is what it is. If you're looking at one of these you probably already know why you need it, what you might use it for, etc..

It is a nice long cable for a nice low price. The insulation on the cable is as thin as it appears in the picture, but that's how these cables usually are; that shouldn't really impact the sound quality anyway. (Well, it won't impact the sound quality any more than the difference in using a 1-foot compared to a 25-footer would impact your sound quality, for example). Personally, i use the cable to connect my laptop's sound card to a stereo system for amplification when i'm out in the kitchen with the laptop playing tunes while i cook or whatnot.

The cable arrived quickly via U.S. mail, and it works. Hooray! I used mine to connect the audio line out from a netbook to a TV, and it works great so far.

Now some initial observations.

For those who care about such things, the RCA connectors on the cable I received were black and red, not white and red, so I've posted a photo. I just plugged the red cable connector into the red socket, and the black cable connector into the white socket, and it's good to go.

How long is a 6-foot cable supposed to be? If you measure the one I got from the tip of the stereo plug to the tips of the RCA connectors, it's 6 feet 2.5 inches long; but if you measure just the unmolded section of cord, that's 5 feet 10.5 inches long.

The metal of all the connectors isn't gold plated; instead it's a silver color with a mirror finish. My guess is that it's a bright nickel plating over some base metal. FWIW, the connectors were not magnetic. There's a tan insulator between the center pin and outer sleeve of the RCA connectors that appears to be phenolic. All connectors were molded onto the wires, and included 5/8" of strain relief where the wires enter the connector.

The wire has two separately-insulated parts that are joined and run in parallel except for perhaps the last three inches at the RCA connectors, where the wire is split with each half going to a separate RCA connector. If the RCA connectors were pulled further apart, it seems the twinned wires would easily separate, allowing the RCA connectors to be positioned further apart.

The country of origin isn't indicated on the cable, and there was no individual unit packaging such as thermoformed plastic or a baggie.

I haven't had the product long enough to comment on long-term reliability.

In summary, the cable works, it's cheap, shipping was a bargain, and it arrived promptly. So far, I'm satisfied.

The item is as described and fulfills the task expected (3.5 mm mini plug to RCA Hook). This review is more for the supplier, AmaMax (AmaMax.com).

I typically order cables as needed and do not give a second thought to the transaction unless I have a bad experience. However, this is the first cable supplier I have ordered from that generated an email to me specifically asking if I was satisfied with the transaction and if they could do anything to improve their service. I realize that this was email was autogenerated. However, it is nice to see a company today that is actually seeking feedback on their systems and services without being oppressive or offensive. Just a simple email asking if they could have done anything better.

AmaMax is now recorded in my list as a supplier to look for when I have future needs such as this.

I bought this amp out of curiosity. I saw this amp's bigger brother, The Mustang I, and saw that it was

a very popular amp in Amazon.com. I also have an affinity for small mini amps and thought that this

amp would offer a bit of versatility. I was way off. It offers a MASSIVE amount of versatility! Alone

the amp itself has huge potential.

It has 7 Fender amp models and 5 models of other well known amps. You can tweak

presets easily and change what effect is applied with two simple knobs and then save

a especially good preset with a simple button. Since the effects are represented with

letters and numbers it may take a while to memorize, but its the only complaint I have.

Download the Fender FUSE software and the amp becomes even more flexible, allowing you

to access the amp models and customize each preset with multiple effects rather than just

being limited to one per preset without the software. The amp itself has only a treble

tone knob but the software allows you to adjust each amps treble, mid and bass knobs.

The amp itself is a handsome piece of equipment. It has a cool carbon-tweed outer shell and a silver

speaker cover. Its also loud despite its 7 watts and while that may not sound like it gives a lot of

headroom, the Twin setting remains suprisingly clean even at full volume.( just don't turn the gain up

too high.) This amp has surpassed my expectations and I highly recommend it. I am now happily saving up

for either the Fender Mustang IV or the Fender Mustang V head and its matching cabinet.

Super small, super portable, super powerful, and super flexible. I couldn't believe how many different sounds (and how much sound) I was able to get out of this amplifier. The perfect practice amp.

I own lots of battery powered amps because I played charity concerts at beach in Thailand (no power, eh?). In my collection I have Roland microcube, cube RX, cube street; Vox Mini 3 and DA-7, Yamaha VA10 and THR10. And many 9 volt super minis for fun. The only one better is the the THR 10 as far as sound quality goes, but it costs 3 times as much.

There was a complaint about no Ableton lite, but since I already had the Mustang 1 it didn't matter to me. The mini 7 has plenty of volume, plenty of range of the 24 programmable choices (Yamaha has 5). Yamaha is better for acoustic electrics. Not tons of bottom end, but more intuitive, more on the go adjustable and save, more for performance some place rather than the "stay at home" feel the Yamaha has. And you can add a foot switch to change between 2 programs if you wish.

I am not into metal and all that. Hendrix is as far as I go. It does have some very fine Fender amp simulations which you can tweak 7 ways to Sunday, and the Twin Reverb is tasty.

Guitars I have run thru it include Guild Starfires, Fender Teles, Reverend 6 guns, Ibanez jazz box, Parker, Ovation VXT. Acoustics: Breedlove, Larrivie, Tacoma, Crafter etc. Pretty broad spectrum, and all sound good, or better than other choices in small amps. The Roland RX is quite nice, but heavy and again almost 3x the price.

It will not sound as good as a regular size Fender twin. Duh. But for what it is, it is brilliant. And the price is ridiculously low for what you get. Mustang 1 is better, but try hauling that to the beach!

this is amazing my gtr playing friends and even my son's gtr teacher have bought one or expressed interest in getting one for themselves. I even took to band jam in buddy's basement and could hear it fine over full drum kit that was giving me a headache. All the different sounds it can make for little $ is cool. Of course it's not a tube amp tone but damn awesome for convenience during practice and lessons.

I've been playing 36 years and have owned over 20 amps everything from vintage Fenders, Marshalls and Voxs to the latest Line 6s, Mesa Boogies, and Rolands and this little beauty has me totally impressed!

The eight amp combos Fender has chosen offer a wide variety of tones from classic twang to modern metal. The picking dynamics also blew me away and show an incredible improvement over earlier modeling amps. In fact, I feel the responsiveness is starting to approaching that of all-tube designs. As you might expect, the classic Fender models sound best with single coil pickups or tapped humbuckers. The Twin Reverb and Bassman models are especially nice with the guitar's volume rolled back and provide true-to-form Hendrix (Little Wing) and Gilmore (Shine On You Crazy Diamond) tones. Singing Texas blues ala SRV are also easily attained with the gain bumped up a bit. Play with your guitar's volume and tone controls and you'll marvel at how many artist's tones can be dialed in. The English crunch tones ala Marshall and Vox are also great for both rhythm and lead settings, but I preferred these using humbuckers with the mids and lows rolled off to increase definition. The only amp models I feel suffer a bit are the two metal models, mostly due to the 6.5" speaker. Plugged into a 4-10" or 2-12" cabinet, these models might really shine as well. Speaking of the small speaker, don't be fooled. While 7 watts isn't enough to stand up to drums, this little thing cranks up plenty loud for a jam session with the boys. Regarding effects, they are very easy to use and can be quickly dialed in from barely perceptible to fully saturated... and the reverb simulations are nothing but incredible. And, if there weren't enough, the included USB and downloadable software allows deep editing of tones and effects, plus, you can download tracks to jam along with.

I know... it almost seems I was paid to write this review, but now it's time for the downside. First, I purchased a new unit, but was shipped a used unit twice! SO ANNOYING!!! The graphite amp covering was already delaminating right out of the box, the handle just flops around and gets in the way, and the AC adaptor cord holder is made from stamped sheet metal that is so sharp it will slice through the cord in no time. In fact, both the handle and cord retainer need to be removed or re-engineered.

SUMMARY: FOR $100, THIS LITTLE BEAUTY IS UNBEATABLE INCREDIBLY VERSATILE, SOUNDS PHENOMINAL, AND IS PLENTY LOUD.

Very nice keyboard for the price. Great sounds. However, I needed to hook up the USB/MIDI to my Mac and it didn't come with any Mac drivers, just drivers for Windows. User manual doesn't mention Mac at all. I searched the web and couldn't find anything Yamaha's support pages are horrible. Finally found a drivers page for a different Yamaha keyboard (PSR-295) and thought I would try the Mac drivers offered there. Crossed my fingers and... IT WORKED! Here is the link so others don't have to go through my pain:

This keyboard works great. It has many features and true Yamaha voices. I love it. Only thing is the stand that is not from YAMAHA so it does not fit axatly as it should be. Other than that, it is perfect.

First, I am not a professional musician. But I love music, and have a pretty good ear. This keyboard sounds just fine in it's default "Yamaha Piano" mode. However many of the other simulated instruments (called "voices") seem to be very much out of key. For example, a simple C-Major chord in the "church organ" voice actually hurts my ears. Playing the C and E notes together in this voice results in an obvious beat. Many of the voices that I would like to use have this problem, while others are OK. For example, the "chapel organ" C-Major chord sounds just fine. In addition, many of the simulated instruments do not sound much like the instrument they are imitating. Thus, to me none of the guitar options sound like a guitar.

The built-in speakers have a definite resonance point. This makes certain notes seem much louder. This is more obvious when using some of the other "voices" than it is in the "Yamaha Piano" mode.

The display panel is much too small for my older eyes. Using it to learn to play is also pretty useless, as it only displays one or two notes of the song at a time. It is really difficult to play when you can't see what is coming up, and the effort is reduced to basically an exercise in reaction time.

The plastic sheet music stand could have used a more defined lip at the bottom to keep pages in music books held open. I have resorted to setting something on the music stand in front of the pages.

As other reviewers have noted, the included keyboard stand does not fit the keyboard, nor is it adjustable for height. It is too high to use with any standard chair, and too low for me to use while standing. However Amazon is not the culprit here. The bundle is from Yamaha, and the stand is of their manufacture. I replaced it with On Stage KS7350 Pro Heavy Duty Folding Z Keyboard Stand ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LCRP14/ref=oss_product ). This stand also does not attach to the keyboard. However it is adjustable for both height and width, and will go down to a height that makes the keyboard comfortable when sitting on a standard office or kitchen chair. The keyboard seems pretty secure sitting on it.

Bottom line OK as a piano keyboard, so-so on the added bells and whistles. For the price, I am disappointed.

Full disclosure: Not a piano/keyboard player, I'm a guitarist who wants to augment my recordings. The Yamaha YPT 410 has a ton of voices, very powerful and useful, with a lot more to them than you can hear out of the built-in speakers. I hooked mine up to a decent amp and was blown away by the richness and depth. Also hooked it up to a bass amp and played the bass sounds, it's all there. If you have a vocoder pedal (mine's an electro-harmonix v256) and a mic, there are a ton of voices that sound great through it, and a sustain pedal makes this setup even better for all the other voices.

My kids love it, they can work it easily and have figured out more features than I have, pretty funny. The cool thing is that they're showing more interest in music because this thing is so approachable with the select wheel and other controls.

The headphone that comes with it is a decent quality, although for big-eared freaks like me they are uncomfortable. The stand seems good and is sturdy enough, but doesn't really fit the keyboard (not a yamaha brand made specifically for it) or keep it level. If you have other keyboards, it may work better with them.

I didn't buy mine off of Amazon, I bought them at Wal-Mart, but I thought I should go ahead and share my opinion.

I've had these for awhile now, at least a year and a half and they've been amazing! the only downside is the thing used to adjust the individual earbud cord length stripped the rubber covering off, but it didn't ruin the sound quality at all.(I just used electrical tape and to cover up the exposed wire. So far,a year later, still going strong) That's the only reason why it's getting four stars instead it of five. And it was most likely my fault. But everything else is amazing.

The last few earbuds I went through before these broke after a few months. These have lasted a long time and I have not been going easy on them. I'm rough with my headphones and I'm surprised these have lasted as long as they have for the price I bought them at. The sound quality is still amazing. I had to turned down the bass because it was a little too much. Not to mention awesome at noise-cancelling. People have to call my name several times before I finally hear them.

If you're just looking for good quality ear buds but don't want to spend an enormous amount of money, get these. They are amazing!

I bought these because I misplaced my iphone earbuds...which I loved. So I purchased these as a replacement and boy can I tell the difference in sound quality. I am a typical girl...I do not care about HDTV, I don't notice or usually care about sound quality...yet this was unmistakably horrid. I made a phone call to try them out, the voice on the other side sounded tinny...then I used the remote to increase the volume and instead it hung up on my caller and started playing my saved mp3. Did not realize this did not have a volume adjustment option. The song is very acoustic yet with this pair it sounded too treble, it made me cringe. I plan to return them ASAP.

I've had these headphones for a few days and they are honestly just okay. They come with replaceable ear tips but they don't range in size. The ear tips are relatively large and I wish they would have packed smaller ones. The sound quality is decent. If you click the microphone it will automatically start playing music (the most recently played song). I noticed with my phone (Motorola Atrix 2) it started playing a song automatically without me pressing anything. It doesn't happen every time and this is the first time I've encountered this happening with other headphones. Some pros are the color variants. I got the hot pink and the color is just what I expected... nice and bright! All in all they are decent for the price. I haven't had them long enough to see about durability and how they fair down a few month's stretch, but we shall see!

The sound on these is great, but I've had two different instances where one of the cords gave out. One time I thought it was my handling of it, but I got fooled twice because I bought another pair and the same thing happened. As a basshead I love the sound, but they need a better, more durable cord.
