My father bought this amp on the strength of Roland's reputation. He used it on four gigs with his jazz/pop quartet in a small lounge, playing a Yamaha piano. I am sorry to say that he, I and the rest of the band found the sound of this amp thin and lacking in headroom to the extent that every dynamic flourish and most low notes were unpleasantly distorted. We returned to the store and A/B'ed this amp with the identical floor model, a cheaper Ampeg bass amp, and a more expensive Markbass Micro. After finding the floor model performing identically and thus ruling out a product defect, he settled on the Markbass Micro which costs $150 more but sounds easily 6 times louder and cleaner, with no fuzz. It is a quarter the size to boot! However even the Ampeg combo same size and $80 less outperformed the Roland. Bottom line: Maybe OK for synths, or lower volume, but this amp cannot handle piano as should be expected for the price, compared to others in its class.

The part that spools is heavy. Not good for exercising or running. It was a waste of money. I'm going to put it in my treasure box at school.

We bought these because of the retractable cord and the color. They look cute, and the retractable cord worked. However, the sound wasn't good, and they stopped working altogether within two weeks of purchase. I wouldn't recommend these to anybody!

I was hesitant to buy these, I tried many headphones and ear buds that I stopped searching. I finally went ahead an ordered them..and I was impress by the sound. These handle the treble, mids and bass very well, does not distort with higher volume. The bass is smooth, does not over power the music. The headphones fit great, very comfortable on the ears. The tangle free cable with the pause button and microphone is a plus. The design is unique, different from Beats. The best part is the value. The only thing I could criticize is the plastic feel to the headphones and it does not fold up. Other than that, I'm glad I found these.

I work at Office Depot where we sell these headphones. When I tried them for the first time, I fell in love. And at one point I wanted Beats by Dre, but I saw these and they seem so much better. For the price I paid, these headphones are very comfortable, they are durable. On the monster website, it shows the flexibility of these headphones, and boy they are flexible. I think it takes a lot to actually break these things, compared to beats where they can easily snap if not taken care of correctly. The bass is nice and heavy, the sound is crisp and clear and if you want to be different, stand out, and still be in style, get these headphones! Everyone in my high school and the college I will be attending this fall all have Beats, I'm glad to be out of the whole bandwagon. Amazing, and since I DJ, I know whats needed for good headphones! Great product!

I got tired of ear buds cause they just wouldnt stay in my ears and they always sound tinny, These hook right into my droid phone and sound great and block alot of the outside noise, could use a volume control on the cord but still quality.

Generally I am quite impressed. The product is pretty well made, even though not as well made as Shure and those other name brands that cost at least thee to five times for the same features.

But, when I open the 4 AA batteries that comes with it, 3 of them were leaking, with liquids seeping out. Only one of them is usable. I use my own rechargeable AA batteries. And what I like most about this system is the fact that it uses AA batteries rather than the 9v batteries that you usually find.

After everything is connected and the power is turned on, there was no sound. After fumbling for a while, I suspected the tiny letters on the top right corner of the transmitter must be telling me something. I put on my reading glasses and found out that it says, "MUTE." However, nowhere in the manual could I find how to unmute it. The mute/umute button is the same button that you turn on or off the device. After several time of ending up turning the device on and off, I found out that you need to double click the power button to unmute the device. The device always start muted.

Once I unmuted the device, I was greeted with an exceptionally clear sound as good as any name brand system I hve ever used. I don't know how long the livelier lavalier mics, and the fragile looking headsets, will last, but for the price, this system is a great deal.

I just bought this for my daughter and son who play guitar and sing. It is perfect for the house and small family concerts that the kids do. I did not want to spend 500+ for one of the Shure products since we do not need a studio quality system. I was surprised that this is very well made and worked great right out of the box. Like the other reviewer the directions are lacking. You need to double press the power button on the remote to turn off the mute. Besides that the rest of the operation is quite easy. I highly recommend this system.

These mics are good quality, for the money. There are, of course, better mics out there, but for the money you spend for these you can't go wrong. I had a problem with mine right out of the box. The receiver wouldn't power up. I sent it back and they sent me a new one and it works fine. I've been using these mics for a couple of months now and have not had any issues with them.

I already have this HSU482 receiver and use it with Handhelds (With Good Results).

These Body packs have an antenna that's less than 2" long which doesn't make much sense considering these are in the 600mhz band. At a distance of 80' I was getting all kinds of hiss and there are No squelch controls. (Keep in mind I use a Shure Antenna Amplifier!)

Got this for amateur DJing (combined with Denon CDJs and Stanton mixer), and I am very pleased. Have owned them for about a year now, and they still behave like the day I got them. Sounds is nice and crisp, and the bass is thunderous. It is not a studio-quality headphone, but then again, it is not in that price range either. They do have a copper plug like the more high-end stuff, and for DJing, they are perfect. Also check out some of the professional reviews on this model floating around on the web. They offer a lot of bang (pun intended) for your buck!

edit: Have now had these for over a year, using them lightly. The sound quality is still nice. On the top of the headband, where the silver meets the black, the silver is starting to crack. I would predict this to be the weak point of these headphones, i.e., that headband will snap at some point.

This cable is great! It's perfect for me. I use it for my laptop and it works great. Picture quality is good, no hdmi quality obviously, but it's what you would expect from S-Video. Audio is good also. One major problem with this cable though. If you S-video output is not near you headphone jack you won't be able to use this cable. Luckily for me mine is on the same side. The cable merges into one wire so it is not possible to tear it apart if the outputs are on different sides of your laptop. I wish they would have made a longer length, but I can deal with the 10 footer. Its nice not having to deal with a separate cables for audio and picture. Overall great cable.

I'm a vocalist at my church and have just ordered my third one of these. The sound quality is excellent and the mic is light and comfortable. My only complaints are that (1) each one has lasted only about three years before the wire inside the cable apparently broke, and (2) I couldn't make the Croakies headband work very well and it is very conspicuous (with short hair). But those are just minor drawbacks when you consider the reasonable price and excellent sound quality. All in all I highly recommend this for users on a limited budget.

I am a teacher that often has trouble with my voice so these help project my voice saving me from soar throats. Our school uses a Sure sound system but the small microphone that came with the unit was a clip on and did not pick up my voice. This unit is fairly comfortable a works great. They offer 3 connector styles by modle number. Make sure you order the right model number based on the type of connector you have on the "receiver" unit it plugs into. As a beginner I was looking for a cheap, easy to use, good quality DJ controller. After doing some research and reading reviews decided to get the "DJ Tech i Mix Reload MKII." Returned it after 2 weeks of delivery. It was definitely not what I was expecting. Controller is made in China and is poor quality plastic. Controller is about the size of a 15-inch laptop, which is pretty small. Also the controller is supposed to work well with Traktor but some of the led buttons would not turn on, and jog wheels do not respond well. Overall, this controller should cost half the price. Definitely not for advanced or pro DJing. If you're looking for a cheap, good quality DJ Controller, don't get this controller.

Having owned other Line6 hardware and having good experiences with this I bought this device to take to work and jam at on my lunch break. I regret this decision....

First, the good things. It sounds pretty decent if you like to play rock or metal. Its not great, but for jamming along with your mp3 player and practicing it works perfect. There are a ton of different sounds you can coax out of this device. Other people have complained about the interface but I don't have any troubles with it. There are some features you can't manipulate unless you plug it into a computer and use their software, doesn't bother me though. Its portable and runs on batteries. All you need is your guitar, cable, and headphones. Back-lit screen is nice and legible.

The bad: The modulation effects are pretty cheesy and digital sounding. Eats batteries very quickly Clean sounds are just meh, but if you aren't using it for recording it should be fine.

Here my main beef: The build quality of this device is not up to normal Line6 standards. It is very flimsy cheapo plastic. I'm still wondering where the real Line6 device is because this seems like a crappy cheap Chinese copy of a Line6 device. I dropped mine onto indoor carpeting and the screen cracked, making it unusable. Line6 considers this device to be consumable and will not help you fix it. They tell you to use their authorized service center to repair...ok, I contact every single one on the list and they all tell me the same thing, deal with Line6 directly. So I try, and Line6 tells you to use an authorized service center... I don't like being treated like this and playing these games. I broke it an am willing to pay for a repair but they just want me to buy a new one. Heck, sell me a new screen and I will solder it in myself (I work in electronics). No go. Digitech never treated me this way with any of their products, in warranty or not.

If you buy this be extremely careful with it. I'm not joking, this thing is flimsy. Its not high impact plastic... its thin and fragile. If you have an issue, good luck dealing with Line6. In this economy you'd think they would do whatever it takes to maintain customers but I guess thats not the case. Their business model must make them immune to these things.

I wanted to like this thing, I really did. My old POD 2.0 is great and sturdy. This pocket thing is an example of a great concept implemented very poorly.

Buy Line 6 Pocket POD Now

This thing is great for practicing with head phones. The wide variety of sounds make for a more authentic practice session (so when you're playing U2 songs, you don't sound like ACDC and vice versa) and makes practicing more fun.

The only big downside is that it sucks down power like nobody's business. I bought four high-end AAA batteries and the Pod ate them in a about a week of playing for less than 2 hours a night. Furthermore, the manual states that only non-rechargeable batteries (or the optional AC adapter) should be used. I now plan to buy the Line 6 DC1, which is line 6's 9 volt adapter, from Amazon soon.

Another, much smaller downside is that the real manual is only available in PDF format from Line 6's web site. But if you're at Amazon, you probably have an internet connection.

While getting the manual, you should probably also download Vyzex, which is Line 6's software for editing the tones from the Pocket Pod. This software isn't absolutely necessary for using the Pocket pod, but it does make editing tones somewhat easier, and it also allows the use of download tones (which work somewhat like synthesizer patches.) I also think the software could be better designed.

Still, I'm very pleased with the product. When you consider it's cost versus the cost of an amp head, plus stomp boxes, etc., the variety of amps and effects modeled, and the fact that the Pocket Pod doesn't take up much space at all, it's a great deal, especially someone like me who practices in an apartment.

Read Best Reviews of Line 6 Pocket POD Here

Line6 is a company that revolutionized professional grade studio guitar processing in the late 1990's with the original POD... Studio musicians from New York to Nashville began praising this little red box they could carry around in their backpack and into the studio instead of the usual crate of amps... Yes, the POD sounded THAT good. Since it's introduction, Line6 has revised the POD every few years to improve features, the Pocket POD technology (processing chips) are identical to the POD 2.0, the sound you get is the same grade... the only difference is the size of the unit and the Pocket POD is missing some of the more high-end input/outputs (MIDI, foot switch control, etc...) other than that, the Pocket POD is a second generation POD with a budget price tag. So here you get professional studio grade amp simulation and effects for under $150 and you can carry this around in your pocket.

Now putting the core technology (which is very good) aside and getting into features. The Pocket POD comes with an excellent set of presets. You can select by BAND, STYLE or USER. As I mentioned, the POD is used by professional musicians, BAND presets are presets created with direct input from the pros. Want to dial up Hoobastanks guitarist sound on The Reason? It's already programmed for you along with about a dozen others artist presets created by the artist themselves.

There are many more STYLE presets, style presets are approximation of specific artist recorded tone on specific songs, they have names easy to reconize like: CRAZY TRAIN, JUMP, FREE FALLIN, DUST WIND, SANDMAN, ANOTHER BRICK, WHOLE LOTTA LOVE etc.. Most of them sound fantastic.

Just dial up a specific tone patch then use one of the four silver knobs to adjust: Gain, Effect Level, Delay Level and Volume. There are so many of these presets many guitarist will probably never even bother to "deep edit", but for those who want more, Line6 has a free program that you can download for MacOS X and Windows that allows you to build your own presets and store them in the Pocket POD. The Pocket POD connects to a PC through an included USB cable and then the user can select a specific amp head, amp cabinet, add effects, etc... You can build your own virtual guitar rig and then store it in one of the included user preset spots.

CONNS:

The "deep edit" software I mentioned above does not work on many notebook PCS and will not work through USB hubs. This will leave many users wanting more frustrated. Also, no power supply is included and the battery life here isn't good. User manual is essentially 3 pages printed in many languages, no manual for the software (and how hard would it have been to include it on a CD-ROM in the box?)

Want Line 6 Pocket POD Discount?

The Pocket Pod does indeed create an incredible variety of tones for the guitar, and it can make even a cheap Danelectro sound like many different (and much more expensive) instruments. While accessing all this power from the Pocket Pod itself is a bit awkward, it can be more easily programmed and experimented with using the downloadable Vyzex software, which displays a virtual control panel with immediate access to most settings. When everything is working, the Pocket Pod is a joy and is downright inspirational to work with.

Unfortunately, both the hardware and the software are rather rough around the edges. My first Pocket Pod had a loud 60Hz hum and ate batteries even when it wasn't plugged in, so it was replaced under warranty by Line 6 (it took over two weeks to get the replacement, however). My current unit works better, but every so often the 4-way switch ceases to function. More mystifying are glitches with the Vyzex software. First, very few of the USB ports on my computer will recognize the Pocket Pod, and I'm not sure that even the ones that appear to work really function properly. I found that getting the Pocket Pod and software to function properly often requires several restarts of the Vyzex program with the Pocket Pod attached. Moreover, even when the software appears to be functioning, it will usually start to throw various glitches as the session progresses. For example, the volume level will often change unpredictably in the middle of a run, or the mouse position will become erroneously detected when operating the screen interface, or certain effects unpredictably become unavailable. Thus the software has to be shut down and restarted constantly when using this system.

In summary, when it is working the Pocket pod is capable of transforming your guitar sounds into nearly anything one would wish. It is so impressive that it could, in principle, be used for gigs. Unfortunately, the reliability of the hardware and software is very poor and it would almost certainly leave the user stranded at the worst possible moment in a live performance. Line 6 really needs to do some serious QC on this device and its software. Until they do (and until they improve the response time of their warranty service), I'd recommend considering other products.

I actually got this pedal many years ago and thankfully it was still being made in Japan which probably explains why it still works a charm more than a decade later. I've since used it frequently while jamming and practicing either at home or in a band setup in a friend's place and I really liked the fact that there are 24 different combinations of effects that you can choose from although truth be told I've settled over the years to just a handful of these combinations whenever I play. Still, I like the way I don't have to connect various effects boxes together to get a nice sound and that I can also fine tune the settings if I like although I rarely if ever do this in practice. I also like the in-built tuner which comes in handy especially in a noisy setting.

And now the not-so-good elements: I used this on-stage during a paying gig once and it just died on me midway through the set! Thankfully I had a spare battery in my pocket and a sympathetic audience as well as a professional enough band to cover for me while I spent the minute or so making the battery change. This baby consumes a lot of power and so if you decide to use this live in a performance, make sure that you put in a fresh alkaline battery. Alternatively, you can use the 9 volt adaptor that was included in my original purchase as part of the package in which case it works like a charm. Secondly, stepping on the pedal only allows you to change from setting to setting sequentially. What this means is that if you want to go from say A1 to C3 you can't do that with one step but you'd need to do a minimum of 4 steps by pressing a very small button on the right edge twice and then stepping on the right pedal twice. Try doing all this live if you need to make changes during a tune!

For these reasons, this is a good toy to play with at home or while jamming among friends but it has limited practical uses for the professional or performing musician. I know I may sound antiquated for saying this but I still like pedals and so if I'm ever asked to perform again, unless I can use the adaptor and I do not need to make setting changes during tunes on a set I'm going to the tried and tested individual pedals instead which for me would include an Ibanez Tubescreamer or Thrashmetal or Muff Overdrive with a DOD Compresser/Sustainer and an Arion Delay. Maybe someday I'll "upgrade" to more modern boxes out there for stagework but right now I'll leave nothing to chance.

Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase for what I use it for which is an easy way to get interesting sounds while practicing or jamming with friends and the fact that the one I purchased years ago is still working so well for me speaks volumes for the overall quality of this Zoom product.

Buy Zoom 505 Now

Ok so technically I used the 505II which is an upgraded version of this model. Seriously this is probably the worst sounding pedal I have ever heard. Lets start with the distortions. For the most part they are noisy. Very noisy, On every setting. So noisy that sound barely gets through. This thing has no bottom or top end sound. Midrange is mostly what comes trough. The distortions that are not too noisy are too fuzzy. It sounds like playing a guitar trough a staticy tv. The acoustic sim sounds very muteed like you have towels in your guitar.

Further more the effects on this thing have very limited tweakability. Just like 9 settings for each. Not much variation there. They all sound very thin aswell. This does have one thing going for it. A great swell sound and decent pitch shifting. Other than that though its crap.

Its also quite indurable. Mine lasted less than a year before it quit working. After i started using the plug the battery would no longer work. Plus whats the deal with the modulation effects? They are probably the most useless thign i have ever seen.
