I always had to drive to a studio to record voiceovers for narrations and radio spots. Now I can do it at home. I was able to set up the MXL-Studio 1 mic in a quiet closet space (the generous 10-ft. USB cable helps) and the sound quality is almost as good as the studio.

I found that a pop filter is necessary. I use Apple's Soundtrack Pro (part of the Final Cut Pro suite) for recording and editing. It's a simple setup and works just fine.

I bought this microphone because i'm tired of having headset microphones containing either too much static, or just not having the volume i need.

upon receiving the item it came in a nice plastic case with some pretty solid latches (think pelican case, just not a pelican case)

Installed the supplied stand (which is pretty nifty) and plugged it into my computer (Windows 7 Home Premium)

Took a Few minutes to get recognized in the Device list but it did so without a hitch (there is no driver to install)

Using the listen feature i began listening at the quality. It sound very good However, i had a Hum and i could not figure it out, turns out it was picking up the vibration from my computer itself (the fans) As well as any background noise it easily picked those up as well.

If you're going to use one of these professionally i would recommend getting a Pop Filter to cover the front of the Mic (It is VERY sensitive)

Overall, the size of it isn't too daunting, i can be placed in just about anyplace on it's included Tripod Stand and not be in the way, It also comes with a pretty long USB Cable which can help as you're not limited in length.

I'm pretty happy with it, and If i have any problems later on down the road i will for sure make a note of it here.

First, I do not have any microphone from the Blue brand; however, I can say that I am very pleased both with the quality and the ease of this microphone. I purchased the pop filter as well, to protect it and make recordings that much better. It picks up sounds from everywhere, so if you are using it for anything other than high quality recordings, you are better off getting a different microphone or a headset. (That means do not use this one to play video games, specifically if you have a mechanical keyboard). It does just what you think it will.

If you use audacity to record your voice/sound tracks, the built in noise reducer takes away all of the background noise perfectly. Since audacity is free, no matter what software you use, background noise shouldn't be a problem.

To conclude, this is not a comparison to the Blue brand, but this microphone is good.

When I saw the 1 bad review for this product, I had to post MY review to counter act.

to the other reviewer: you are calling for a firewire interface, but using USB?.. did you know there are 2 drivers for this, 1 for USB and 1 for Firewire? You cannot install both on the same system. If you read the manual...

I've been using the Firefly 808 since the first revision that didn't include USB. You CAN pair the older non-USB revision with the Universal and they play together well. I admit, when I first got the second interface (you can daisy chain up to 8 to octuple your inputs and outputs.. maybe more) They were going out of sync, I kept getting clips and pops, but THAT WAS MY FAULT I didn't set 1 to be the clock source and the other as the slave (CS...and something... I don't have my rig on at the time of writing this) It was the customer service at Phonic's main page that helped me with this. They responded in less than 24hours!

Using Reason and VST's I get near zero at the most 2ms latency which is not really detectable when using Midi instruments. ALSO there is a direct monitoring fader (within driver software) that allows for direct monitoring for your singer/drummer. I've plugged guitars directly into the firefly and used VST amp modelers with ease.

My main DAW at this moment is Ableton Live for all the built in instruments, VST compatibility, composition and recording capabilities. I have used the Firefly 808 Universal successfully with Reaper, Sony Acid, Sony Soundforge, and Native Instruments bundles. I created a box with two of these units, headphone distribution amp, SM Pro Audio EP-84 Multichannel Microphone Preamplifier with ADAT add-on (you can use the Behringer ADA8000 8-Channel Converter also) to add 8 more mic preamps for individual recording channels, 1 space mixer and a couple compressors. It is portable and was set-up for stage use. My computer is a Windows 7 x64bit machine.

The set-up is quite unique as I have tied my turntables into the mic inputs directly. I then rout my turntables to use in Tracktor Pro 2 and use my Numark Omni control as my mixer this might sound complex, the set-up takes a moment to wrap your head around, but it works! I also use it to record drums (phenomenal results I use a rack compressor, but there is no need, you can do it with software if you need), guitars, vocals and whole live sessions. Preamps are very low noise... I can't say enough good things about it.

The only features I would add to the driver software, is the ability to save your presets. Every time I boot for a new session, I have to set the Master Clock/Slave and also pan the direct monitor mixer. Something simple to do, but something that should be done once with a preset. And maybe tone controls (can be software) for the headphones.

Upon researching; I found the price of this unit is so low because they are OEM builders for the other major brands you see. They get their parts in bulk, no advertising, totally invest in the product.

I was not new to recording when I made the purchase for the first Firefly 808 nor new to computing.

A suggestion: DEDICATE a computer for audio capture slim down your operating system by using a fresh install, without graphical candy, no internet connection or virus detector program running; as they have the potential to 'erk' your recordings.

There are many topics the novice should research before delving in. ASIO (this unit has low latency ASIO... that's what you want), DAW (start with REAPER, it is free), VST, MIDI, compression (or learning to record below the RED +0db)... I can go on for days... better yet, get this unit (it is best price/feature unit you'll find)

Somebody wrote "Low quality. Too noisy to use for serious recordings. You would be better off spending more money on something else."

I don't understand how he came to this statement. Look at the data sheet and you would see that this statement is impossible. The source of noise must come from a different source. This interface is absolutely quite and even if you turn up the volume all the way you can barely hear any noise.

A detailed review is shown here:

I am using this interface with professional SW (Magix Samplitude ProX)and I love the results. I play the violin for 46 years and I am extremely picky if it comes down to recording quality. Most problems are rather in microphones or poor SW then in this interface.

I love that the phantom power of each input can be switched on/off individually.

One thing took me a while to find out is that the inputs are always routed onto the outputs. This can be changed by opening the firefly808 audio interface where you find a slider for completely detaching the input from the outputs or the playback onto the outputs so only the inputs can be heard. Once you get used to this it is a nice and powerful way to record and play back.

You can cascade up to 8 audio interfaces which will fulfill all your needs.

This Audio interface is fairly priced and cheaper then most other interfaces. I compared almost 20 interfaces for price, # of channels and technical data.

I decided for the firefly 808 because of the convincing data. It keeps the promises in every aspect.

I did not have any problem with the interface to my windows 7 PC. Obviously all bugs are out. You still should download the latest driver.

I am using firewire and did not try out the USB interface.

The headphone output is absolutely quite and works excellent with an Audio Technica ATH-M50 Headphone.

Everything together 5 stars from me. As soon As I have the money I will buy another unit.

My purchase of the Phonic was driven by the need to replace my old unit that was firewire only. Most new laptops don't come with firewire or the ability to add it, so I was pleased to find that the Phonic supported both firewire and USB.

I have owned a Phonic Helix mixer, so I was familiar with Phonic products and quality prior to buying the 808 interface. Setup was a breeze and Reaper configured it correctly without my intervention. Within 10 minutes I was recording with the new interface. I find the preamps to be very quiet and the quality of the unit to be excellent. It's a very intuitive layout and works very well. The inclusion of ADAT allows me to connect an a/d d/a strip for more inputs. The mixer software is simple and easy to use. I had planned to spend twice as much on a unit that didn't fit my specs exactly because most of the better units are firewire only, but I think that the Phonic was the better choice at half the cost.

When reading specs and online reviews of this product, some doubt was raised as to whether the 808 can record 8 channels at once. I tested the unit immediately after receipt and it recorded 8 simultaneous tracks flawlessly. The 808 is a stellar buy for the money.

I don't, however, like how the tablet fits inside the restraints without the case on. It's not as snug as I would like. But overall I am extremely happy about this purchase. It came down to either this or a Marshall Carbon Series amp. Honestly, this sounds better. The clean sound is fantastic, and the distortion is fantastic as well. Very thick distortion tones, and the chorus and reverb work very well as well. For only $150, it is a must buy. I would recommend this over amps that cost 3x as much. Yeah, its not a tube amp, but it sounds good enough as it is. If you need an amp, buy this one.

I used to play bass seriously, but don't have the time to anymore. I sold off my more serious gear, but I still wanted an easy way to pickup a bass when the mood strikes me. This traveler bass was the perfect solution. The built-in headphone amp makes 5-10 min playing sessions so easy. There's no wasted time setting up your rig just to play for a few minutes.

I've owned probably 10 basses throughout my life, and I'm impressed by the quality of construction on this one. It feels solid and stays in tune.

My only gripe is the tuners. It takes some getting used to tune a bass with this design.

As far as sound goes, they are very good for the money. I like a little more bass, but not too much and they seem to be just about right for my tastes. They also come with multiple ear pieces, which definitely helps with comfort. I usually never have to use them though, but it's good peace of mind that in case the stock ear piece doesn't fit you have options. I've owned plenty of ear buds, and the longest lasting one I've had was 1.5 yrs after heavy use (running everyday, gym, walking to work everyday over a mile, video games) and so I expect them to last a little longer than 6 months. But hey, for the price just buy another one. I did.

They are my favorite pair of headphones that I have ever owned. They are extremely comfortable in the ear and I forget that I even have headphones in. The sound quality is great I listen to a variety of genres and everything sounds top quality coming through the headphones.

Durability is also fantastic. I've owned these for a long time and never done anything special to care for them. They usually end up stuffed in a pocket, are often tangled, and yet have survived it all. They are in great condition.

While this is not the top notch headphone, it does not cost you an arm and leg either. For only $10, this is a great buy. The package is simple and may seems a little bit cheap, but for this price, what do you expect.

The build quality is very good though, compare to popular Sony, sennheiser counterparts. The cable is sturdy and the extra ear foams are good to have.

Sound quality wise, the low is a little bit muddy and the mid is not absoultely clear. But again, please keep in mind that its low cost.

This ear phone has following merits:

1. Produce excellent sound

2. Feel comfortable in the ear

3. Isolate the outside noise

4. NOT fall out when working out

I put the iRig Mic to the test against the internal iPod Touch mic in several different Manhattan public settings. The iRig mic on the 2nd setting captures normal talking exceeding well against a backdrop of loud noise including traffic, construction, subways and crowds. Previously I've used flip cameras for video projects but flips do not have external mic capabilities. Here on out, I'm all about the iRig and iPod Touch.

Buy IK Multimedia iRig Mic for iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad and Android devices Now

I purchased this mic the first week it came out. It lasted about 2 weeks before the cable came loose from the base of the mic.

BTW, the cable is attached to the mic. It is not an XLR to mini cable. I knew this going in, so it was not an issue for me, but some folks might want to have that information repeated.

I sent it back, partial refund because the instructions were not included in the return. (as if they were going to turn around and sell a broken mic. hmm...)

I bought a new one. This one was a dud out of the box. Just didn't work.

I sent THAT one back, and thought it had to be a coincidence...that I just had the bad luck of having the only two defective mics from the lot. Wishful thinking.

The third one lasted about 10 days. I sent it back and obviously will not be purchasing this mic (or any other hardware) from IK until their hardware department shows as much promise as their software department does.

Here are three things that I understand about this mic, and want to just say in fairness to the company:

1) I am a professional singer/songwriter. I use my iPad a lot on stage, and was hoping to use this mic on stage with the iPad. That didn't happen, because none of them lasted long enough for me to rehearse a decent performance with the mic, but I did try to get it to work for a performance, which meant that I used the mics every day for several hours...sometimes on a stand, sometimes hand held. So, I might not be the target end user of this mic. The target end user might be a casual singer, or someone who bought the mic because they had to have the latest iPad gadget, but never uses it, I don't really know. But I *do* know that the target end user is not a professional musician.

2) The mic is under 60 dollars. There are no "pro" mics on the market that are 60 dollars new. If you are singing into a 60 dollar mic, you are either at karaoke, or it was purchased used. I recognize this as a limiting factor to the quality and longevity of a mic. But when the longest lasting mic of 3 is around 2 weeks...well, you get what you pay for usually. In this case, I got much less than I paid for. In essence, I rented what amounts to a Radio Shack mic for 2 weeks for 60 dollars.

3) During the short time that the mics worked, they worked pretty well as a unidirectional mic. Outside noises were kept at a minimum, and mainly the voice that was directly behind the mic was the only one heard. There are three quite confounding setting on this mic: 1) completely and utterly inaudible, 2) I can almost hear what you are saying, could you speak up slightly?, and 3) OMG STOP SCREAMING AT ME!!! when the person holding the mic is barely whispering on the "higher" setting. In some applications, there were ways to modulate the output of the mic, but on less sophisticated apps, this mic was useless.

I agree with other users. The onboard mics for the iPad/pod/phone are at least as good as this mic, maybe better. No need to get another mic. At least not until the cables come apart from the mic, so they can be replaced without replacing the entire mic. I'm looking forward to seeing their G2 of this mic.

Great microphone.....And love the app associated with it for the iPhone/iPad but the wiring on this microphone is horrible.

I've had problems with it since day 1 and the jack that plugs into the iPhone or iPad is very cheaply made and takes some tweaking to get it sound correct.

Absolutely love the actual microphone but the cabling needs some work.

IK Multimedia doing some very cool things, I have a feeling they will release an iRig 2 that will be either wireless or cabled together a lot better

I bought this mic with the intent of using it as a Mic for a Karaoke app on my iPad. From the start its somewhat misleading since it's not just a plug and play device. You need to buy additional mono jacks and adapters to make this thing work and even after I did all that it still had an annoying buzz that wouldn't go away so I returned it.

The video review someone put up here gave me hope that this was indeed a good mic, so I ordered one for some YouTube interviews I had planned to try with an iPhone 5, a tripod, and an interview mic.

It arrived in a timely fashion = 1 star.

The mic would not work with an iPhone 5, an iPad (4th gen), a Galaxy SIII, or a Nexus 10...all of which the mfr website states this mic would work with. The instructions bordered on useless. The mfr website was equally useless for troubleshooting.

The only conclusion I could come to was that the mic was defective. I rarely get defective items through Amazon, but I never go in for a second chance. Thankfully the Amazon return experience was quick and painless.

I read through some of the other reviews and I note that a couple of people realized that you had to install the app to get this to work. That didn't work either. And no where in the instructions or website did "You must install the app" appear. In fact, what passed for troubleshoot FAQs had such complicated "fixes" as making sure the mic is completely plugged in and that your iPhone is turned on.

Four stars because the price is so low for a multiband compressor. I'm as much a live audio engineer (touring and at a large church) as I am a bass player. I also do some studio session bass. I bought this to try it because, honestly, a compressor stomp box for under $100 is disposable in a world where decent compression costs at least 3 times as much. That's just the reality of the cost of internal components and I set my expectations accordingly.

If you're playing live on a budget I think this is a good shot at multiband compression. As far as I know, this Digitech and the EBS Multicomp are the only mulitband bass stomp box compressors in town. The EBS felt like more of a risk because $200 isn't much but it's not disposable, it has no crossover frequency adjustment, and a bass mag review said they couldn't tell the difference between its multiband mode and its "Tube Sim" mode. I'm sure the EBS sounds cleaner but I like lots of control. If I get a chance to demo one and it sounds better I'll probably buy it but the local Guitar Center doesn't keep them in stock. For now, this Digitech works for me.

True to Digitech form this box hisses when you get agressive with it. At $70 you forfeit all rights to complain about a little hiss. Try to find another multiband comp for that price. They did put in a noise gate that's set pretty well so it doesn't hiss when you're not playing and if you play solidly the signal to noise ratio is just good enough for live but I wouldn't take it to the studio. The 4 knobs are for level, crossover point, low compression and high compression. You can get a wide range of tone out of this. The single compression dials seem to drop the threshold and raise the makeup gain at the same time as you turn them up. The higher you turn them the more the noise floor comes up. 1/4 turn is plenty of compression so don't overdo it. (Compression is a fine art more is not necessarily better and the best fix for uneven tone is better playing style.)

It has an alternative output that simulates an amp. Nice touch but I don't use it. I think it tries too hard. If you don't use another amp or amp modeler then I can see this cleaning up your tone on a semi-pro live system in a saturated mix like most churches: 2 electrics, keyboards, acoustics, drums, tons of vocals, all playing all the time... you want plenty of midrange to maintain clarity of tone and this will do it for you.

Here's how this has helped me: For my vintage tone I play a Fender Jaguar in passive mode through a POD X3 Fender Bassman model. The Jag thunders on the low end (first 5 frets of the E string) but when you want to get the right overdrive evenly across the whole fretboard the low notes overdrive more and turn to mush; no clarity or focus. I set the crossover point on the compressor so it evens out the low end, I get just enough edge evenly on all notes, then I make up the low end after the amp like you would in the studio. It sound just gritty enough down low and the upper notes stay nice and thick. I get compliments on that tone almost every time I use it and the minor hiss in a live setting isn't that noticeable.

Remember, go easy on compression; you only need just enough. Tone is in the finger, not the gear.

Buy Digitech XBS Bass Multi-Band Compressor Pedal Now

With this compressor and a Sansamp Bass driver, you can get any popular bass sound, and do everything that the TC electronic 450 or Staccato heads do, but at a fraction of the cost. This thing is easy to adjust, makes very little noise and works well with all basses. Unlike the one-knob 3-band compression of TC heads, this allows players to adjust the crossover frequency and compression level. That's a great feature because every player, amp and bass is different.

I have found that this is also great for guitar. Most compressors set attack based on an averaged voltage of the entire input. Separating the bands into lows and highs, and then adjusting the attack differently, allows you to get a great Jazz tone without losing dynamics.

Before you go out and spend a ton of money on one of those new TC heads, Check out the Sansamp Bass driver and this pedal together. You can get all the useful sonic functions of the egregiously expensive TC heads at a fraction of the cost. The only things you will not get: bells-and-whistles like a built in tuner, pretty lights and the wallet-raping.

Sansamp Bass Driver is about $200. Add $65 for this. If you already have any kind of bass amp, you can use these with it.

Compare that cost with the $1500 of the TC bass heads, and you can see why so many informed pro-bassists refuse to shell out the extortion money TC wants for their pretty new amps.

Because Digitech is owned by Harmon, and Harmon also owns DBX, they were able to incorporate some of the DBX "over-easy" compression algorithms into this inexpensive unit. That means it sounds good almost no matter how you set it.

It has two outputs, one optimized for bass amps, the other for going straight into a mixing desk. That means you can also use it with low-noise professional mixers like Mackie or go directly into a pro-power amp.

This is a versatile and useful pedal for bass or guitar. I have even used it to record snare drums with great results! The dual band feature allows you to put heavy compression on the low end so every hit has that authoritative wallop, but you can ease off the compression on the high-end so that nuances of good drumming comes through the mix.

If you have a low-budget home recording studio,

are a pro-bassist looking for the tonal excellence of over-priced boutique amps without the exorbitant tariff,

or are a jazz guitarist who needs a smooth professional sound without losing tone and dynamics,

This is a good gamble that usually pays off.

Try it, especially if you were drooling over a new TC bass head. You don't need to spend a fortune to get great tone.

Combine this with a Sansamp Bass Driver and you will be in Funky Heaven.

I've been using this pedal for a few months now, and I'd say it is certainly worth a try for live settings. I play live sets several times a week in various settings and implementing a variety of styles, and I've found that this compressor can hold its own pretty well. Obviously the biggest selling point is the low price, so don't expect magic to come out. The sound quality is acceptable for live sets, but I wouldn't use it for recording. The first day I used it I picked up on that familiar "digitech" feel to the sound, but once you get used to it (or settle) it's not really noticeable. I only recognize it by knowing the sound of my own gear, so unless you have a real audiophile standing next to you, no one will notice.

I've found the 2nd output to be particularly useful at times. When going direct out from my amp, unless I'm plugged into the "Out 2", a buzz comes through the board even though I don't hear it in my amp. Something to keep in mind if (for whatever reason) you decide to use this for recording.

Also, plan on getting the power supply. I went through a couple batteries before realizing that it would only last for a couple hours of continuous play. There's nothing worse than getting the sound you want only to loose it half way through a set, so save yourself the aggravation and get the cord.

Overall, it's a useful little pedal to keep in your gig bag. If you're looking for more control over your sound, go for it, but if you're looking for a professional sound, keep looking.

Good:

-dual band compression

-solid construction

-easy to use

-dual output

-great value

Bad:

-farts out completely (massive, nonmusical distortion) if you go too loud or past about 10-11 o-clock on the compression. I'd rather have finer control over the usable part of the band. Really I'd rather it did better at high compression, but at this price, what can you expect?

The dual band feature allows me to compress the bottom end on my bass so that I can play in a variety of styles without having to change volume settings, without having to bring in a bunch of string noise by compressing the high end. That's why I got it, and it does that just fine as long as you don't push the compression too hard. A quality noise gate and higher quality compressor might be a better solution, but it ought to be considering that's about 500 bucks worth of gear, and this is less than $100.

I can't speak to the battery life, I always use a power supply.

I own a real nice bass and some good old copy standbys. An '82 Wal Custom fretless, a kit Jazz bass with Bartolini's and an added Seymour Duncan two band active EQ(reviewed here), a kit '57 Precision style sunburst/goldguard w/DiMarzio P-bass pickups, and a japanese '51 Precision reissue in butterscotch that's stone stock. All the Fender styles have maple neck/fingerboards. I plug into a little Hartke 1 12" Hartke Kickback 12 Bass Guitar 1x12 Combo Amplifier, 120 watts that I reviewed here with an added tube DI. Look them up. Anyway, I got this pedal and started reading the directions and they were worded too complex for me so I will simplify. Level is volume output. Crossover selects where low frequency level control and high frequency level control take effect. In a nutshell, the compression is SET. You can't adjust the ratio like other pedals. The pedal should be called a compression/EQ pedal. You set the output level to your amp, use the crossover control like a pan pot to pick your low, high, or whatever frequency, and turn the low/high knobs on the pedal to add or subtract the crossover selected bass and treble levels, like active bass/treble knobs. I don't know if there is an internal trimpot to add or reduce the compression intensity, but that would be nice. I personally think the compression is just a tad heavy, but in a band mix with guitars, drums, vocals and keys, it's probably fine. I like compression when I want it but will turn it off just as quick in a less dense situation like acoustic guitar or a sax fronted jazz combo. Once you get how simple this pedal is to run after you read past the verbage, it's a nice option to have in your gig bag. Set the EQ levels to the same and you have your basic compressor. Adjust them around and you got an easy to use active variable frequency EQ for your amp. And it's pretty darn cheap to boot!

These headphones look like Beats Solo HDs, but sound much much better in my opinion. Beats Solo HD headphones sound boomy and muddy to my ears, but the Zoro HD's sound like high fidelity phones. I took these headphones to a Fourth of July parade, I had my relatives try them out, and two of them said "Oh my goodness, these sound so clear!"

That's the way I would characterize the sound of these headphones, crystal clear, clean, and balanced. The treble is pristine without being sharp or piercing, the mids are forward but not intrusive, and the bass is potent and clear and extends down deep.

When I say that the Zoro HDs sound balanced, I mean that no part of the sound spectrum dominates the other. Bass, mids, and highs can all be heard equally. The headphones are portable and can be folded up and placed in the accompanying pouch.

The negatives: The build quality is not quite as premium as with the Beats by Dre line, and when you crank the volume on your MP3 player all the way loud (which you will not need to do with these headphones because they are efficient), it sounds a tad scratchy. If you wear glasses, you might not like the pressure that the ear cup places on your right ear. Also, if you like DJ music where the bass rattles the fillings in your mouth and You hear and feel the beat, but it overwhelms the other instruments and the song, you won't be satisfied with the Zoros.

But if you like hearing beautiful pristine music that sounds exactly the way the artist intended, you will be very happy with the Zoros.

The sound is a detailed stereo sound, meaning that you will hear bass in one ear, vocals over your head, piano or guitar in another ear, etc. It sounds like you are in a auditorium, and you can almost pinpoint where on the stage the different instruments are being played.

These are sealed headphones, they will not leak sound if you have them properly placed directly on your ears (I suppose if you have the volume turned all the way up, which is not advised, they might leak a little...)

At the $100 price point, these headphones are hard to beat. They have a clearer sound than the similarly priced Sennheiser HD 438, They do not sound congested and insular like the ATH M50s, And they do not sound harsh like the Grado SR 60 or the Grado SR 125.

But in my view, they are one step below $350 sealed headphones like the Sennheiser Momentum, which are even clearer with a more luxurious build quality.

But these headphones get a lot of time on my ears, because they are portable, affordable, easy to tote around, and they look awesome :)

By the way, do not confuse these with the Zoro professional headphones, which are priced $40 cheaper. They are good, but they leak sound, and these are a big step up.

Highly recommended, and they do not need a headphone amplifier, though they benefit slightly from a portable amp like the Fiio E11.

Wow. I'm surprised that Noontek is not advertising these headphones hard like Beats by Dre. These hit hard. It's comfortable on my ears and the sound quality is awesome. Big upgrade from my iphone 5 buds. For a $100 I highly recommend them.

The sound is very balanced, the case is nice, and they fold up fairly compact. Able to wear them for hours comfortably, ears get warm if it's hot out, but that is any on ear headphone. The included cable works great, never tangles and the button answers calls and pauses my Google music on my Note II! Great headphones at this price point.

I just received these and they do sound better than the standard ZORO. The sound is more refined and the bass seems tighter. Now the cable included has a Mic/Control button. Is it worth the upgrade? I think so if you have the cash to spend. If you are looking for a budget set of wired headphones for $100, I don't think you can go wrong with these...

First, the sound. I'd say excellent. I can imagine it could be better, but great for what I've experienced from others. Tight bass and good low frequency extension. You can feel the bass and no noticeable distortion. Loud bass doesn't influence other parts of the passage. The overall impression is that the sound is transparent. Good separation of instruments. I am hearing things i haven't heard before. One of my tests is middle treble piano music. Everything but the highest end systems distort the attack of each note. Not the Noontec. Thank you! The only slight negative, and the reason it's not a 5 star is comfort. It's light (that's good), padding is soft (also good), but pressure on the ears maybe could be less, or maybe adjustable. Some people need to wear headphones 8 hrs a day I would look elsewhere in that case. These are my most comfortable set, but I'm still hungering for the ultimate comfort.
