I'm not running into any fit issues, which I think is the core of many low scores; especially since proper fit for in-ear buds directly relate to sound quality.

Anyways, I'm not an audiophile but I expect to get what I paid for and with these Sol Republic has not disappointed. They fit me perfectly and sound wonderful, which I couldn't say for the Skullcandy Aviators they replaced. I'd happily admit they sound better than said Aviators.

Listening to a wide range of genres, they hold their own. The sound feels round and warm, perhaps lacking ever so slightly in what I think is referred to as the middle range, however, it could just be music I'm listening to. The bass is punchy and gives that 'feel the bass' feeling.

I appreciate the style of them quite a bit, and love the ribbon cord. They come with a rubbery case which, honestly, won't see much use. I like these buds enough that I'd likely pickup a hardshell 'travel' case to make sure they survive a trip in my backpack or satchel.

Everything just sounds great, I don't think I could elaborate further. Try them out or not, thanks for taking the time to read of my opinion.

These headphones from my 10 minutes of experience with em so far have PHENOMENAL sound! WOW! They're also beautiful, so far comfortable and just plain cool, HOWEVER these headphones were made for Apple devices which I did not know upon purchasing, therefore they do not work with my Samsung Galaxy S3. I can't use the microphone feature which I'm sure is lovely but that means, no voice commands, & no calls. Can't even use the volume control. Because Apple has their own standard for 3.5mm jacks despite there already being a universal standard in place, I can't enjoy these pieces of audio artwork. So if you're an iphoner....have at em. For the rest of us, you may want to check compatibility with your device first. Thanx again apple for ruining yet another great thing!

I may have unusual requirements for in-ear headphones. Since I travel a lot, I prioritize:

1. Rugged enough to be shoved into pockets running through airport security, check-in, boarding, taxis, etc.

2. Cord doesn't tangle when trying to pull headset from my pocket while answering my phone.

3. Microphone in good location, where the two individual ear wires merge into the single cord.

4. Noise isolating.

5. Fits into ear firmly enough to stay in place while running, traveling, or other physical activity.

6. Soft enough it doesn't hurt my ear.

7. Sounds good.

I've had plenty of failures. I have a set of (expensive) Klipsch that doesn't sound much better, feels fragile, and the cord gets tangled on everything. I had a great set of Shure (also expensive) but the wires were fragile and eventually frayed under usage. Others had the microphone hanging from one of the ear pieces (instead of where the wires merge) and had audibility problems. From this perspective, the SOL is close to ideal. I don't particularly like the large disk, which doesn't seem to serve a purpose and makes the earpieces bulky.

I'm generally not using the in-ears for critical listening, so sound quality isn't the top priority. If I'm wanting quality, I have a different set of priorities. However, the SOLs sound good relative to other in-ear sets in the $100-$200 category.

I have become a pretty dedicated Sol Republic fan when it comes to my music and sound. When I purchased this item, I had a good idea of what to expect based upon other reviews and it came just as I thought it would be. For the cheap price of about $30, the material quality of these headphones aren't 100%. Needless to say, the cord is a soft and smooth plastic, so it was good enough for me. But the sound? The sound is amazing. I am a big fan of bass, and I have to say that the bass in these headphones are really superb. I also enjoy listening to a lot more acoustic and relaxed music, which some claimed sounded terrible on these, but I found nothing wrong. Everything was really clear to me.

Overall, I think it was a great buy. They still look very stylish no matter how they feel, and as with anything you purchase, they will last a solid amount of time as long as you take care of them. If you want good sound for a cheap price, these are the headphones to get.

Ok, so I bought this because my friend had an old Zoom multi-effects pedal and he recommended getting one. It's a solid pedal, but has a few drawbacks. First the positives:

Pros:

-Has a lot of room to store custom presets (up to 40, with 40 factory presets you can't permanently change). These are fun to create.

-Has many effects that are decent in quality, and gives a fair amount of control over them.

-Easy to use, came with wallet card explaining the readout, but this is unnecessary after a few days.

-Sounds very good through headphones.

-Comes with AC adapter.

-Pretty well priced. Definitely a good value.

Cons:

-The drum machine sucks. Boring and quiet, even at full volume.

-You can't run more than one effect from each section, which means you can't layer a lot of effects.

-The noise gate is really crappy. It does remove the noise while you're not playing (as a noise gate is supposed to) but when you stop playing the noise comes through for about half a second before fading out, and sometimes it dulls your pick attack. For those who know noise gates, the attack and release are pretty slow, with a hold that's too long for most of my guitar playing.

-The distortions are pretty lame. Many sound very similar and they're all a bit muddy, even when you adjust the EQ.

-The pitch bending effect is pretty poor, but not useless. It sounds shaky and poppy when you bend the pitch more than half an octave.

It'd be much better to get a different pedal for each effect this pedal creates, but that'd be really expensive. All in all, this pedal is great for beginning players or advanced players on a budget.

UPDATE: 7/13/11

After playing with this pedal for over a half year, it's still going strong. I'd like to add to my original review that the EQ is a bit disappointing (I hadn't really played with it until recently). You end up with a very "digital" sound when using it, especially when boosting frequency bands. Also, I've been using the reverb a lot lately, mostly through headphones, and it sounds great. I'd like to give Zoom credit for putting a very good reverb effect.

For sale price this pedal rocks! ITS GOT TREMELO!! When I bought the first Zoom 505 gtr pedal back in like 98 it didn't have tremelo or the built in expression pedal. That's rightdon't call it a wah pedal because with the Zoom G1XNext you can assign the pedal to control one of 6 different parameters FOR EVERY PATCH regardless if it uses the wah fx-including volumeor drive!or delay etc etcthis is very useful! its also esaier to make your own patches with the two added knobsyou can also TAP the tempo of your delay and many other FX!!!! I plan on doing some street performances and this pedal can run for hours off 4 AA batteries!!(the digitech ones I looked at with built in expression pedal didnt have battery option and cost more) The tones sound good to meif they're good enough for Bon Jovi's guitar player they're good enough for me. My only complaint so far is that the compressor isn't a stand alone FXmeaning that you cannot use the compressor with any other fx in it's category (there are several categories of fx this pedal uses)dont have the manual with me at the moment so I cant remember all the fx it shares the category withi think wah tho. With compressors so widely used in modern recording Im suprised they didnt have a separate knob or setting for itbut you cant expect everything for ! And they give you a lot! I like the tuner better on this than on the first zoom. Also THEY GIVE YOU A BUSINESS CARD SIZE CARD FOR YOUR WALLET THAT LISTS WHAT ALL THE DIGITAL DISPLAY CHARACTERS MEANso you understand what fx/parameter your setting without needing the manual for every gignice touch!!

This is a really terrific effects pedal. The individual effects are not quite as good as a dedicated pedal would have, but you get so many in such a compact unit that it is a great value and a lot of fun to play with. It also has a good tuner, a basic drum section, and it will drive a set of headphones, so you can use it instead of having a separate tuner, metronome, and practice amp. The pedal works smoothly and has stood up to fairly vigorous use. It comes with a lot of premade patches and room to store a lot of your own.

Weaknesses are the complexity of the interface (significant learning curve to use all of the features, though this just reflects how powerful and flexible the unit is), awkwardness of the drum interface (you can't push the tiny drum button with your foot, and it is hard to adjust the drums while you are playing), and weakness of some of the effects (I was especially disappointed by the octave/pitch shifter).

I heartily recommend this pedal. You should think about whether you would be better with this model or the one with the separate pedal you plug in, though. This one is less expensive and more compact, but you can't adjust any of the settings without bending down to the floor, though you can run up or down through your patch list with the two large buttons. The unit with the separate pedal would allow you to have it up on a table while the pedal was on the floor, which would be a lot better for programming in the patches.

This is a fun pedal that has made just messing about at home a LOT more fun. The range of sounds you can create is just about endless. I don't know what the other reviewer was using for equipment, but I can barely turn the volume up to 25% of max before the drum machine and guitar sounds are unbearable. It's plenty loud. the direct headphone out is really useful. You don't even need an amp just plug your guitar into it and go.

The hardware itself is so-so. It's solid plastic and the pedal is well made (but frankly, not that useful. Mostly I just leave it ON or OFF, rarely in between). I'd would have rather they'd made the two foot switches bigger and easier to use. The digital readout is easy to read but with 40+ presets, it's sometimes hard to remember. That's kind of a good thing, as there are a near infinite number of sounds you can produce with this.

The selector and volume knobs feel cheap and I worry they may not last, though I have no evidence that they won't last.

Overall, I'm glad I have it, it's good bang for the buck.

This is my first pedal and already i love it. it's the best for the money and value sure it's not tops but on a limited budget it does the trick for me. I love all the presets including the british hiwatt setting since i play alot of floyd and gilmour's music it does everything i want. I would recomend this for anyone on a limited budget for a good all around pedal.

UPDATE:

After using this for a couple years now I love this pedal. it rocks and saves me from having to buy multiple pedals after figuring it all out I can now just tap and I am ready for the next song. I highly recommend this pedal for any guitarist on a tight budget. it works great on all amps I have tried it on. sounds best on the peavy's I use at home and on the road. Good bang for the buck.

Firstly, go there for many reviews.

This amp is a good amp, depending on who you are. If you are a professional or a great player, ignore this amp. Buy a tube amp or something.

If you are a casual player, it will certainly 'work' but you will probably be desiring more. I have had it for 2 years and I have grown out of it.

As a beginner, this amp is perfect. It has enough tone controls for you to experiment, and a headphone jack can make sure you dont distrub your neighbors. The drive button is a little pointless once you start to figure things out, but its fun to play with as a beginner.

So if you are a beginner and this fits your price range, I would recommend it. Its a very good at-home amp, but it isn't quite loud enough for playing with friends. You can play loud enough to hear your guitar well at 'home practice' levels.

For the price, this amp is great. You get a drive switch, so if you want you can dial in some crunch, you can. On the other hand, there are no onboard effects to speak of, so if you want an amp with flanger and chorus, etc. then don't get this one. Plus, the amp doesn't have delay, so the sound is rather flat. Still, by messing around with the Treble, Middle and Bass knobs and setting the gain to 4, I got a good hard rock tone going. Something to be careful of: The drive and clean settings are controlled by separate volume knobs. You could have a loud clean tone, but then the drive is quiet. Nothing some experimentation can't fix.

So, the pros and cons are:

PRO'S:

-Gets loud at "3" on volume knob

-Has cd/mp3 input (but you need an RCA cable. There's probably one that you can pirate from another audio device in your house.)

-Has headphone jack

-Has "drive" and gain

-Nice size and weight

-Excellent price for what you get

CON'S:

-No onboard effects

-No onboard tuner (who really cares?)

-Not footswitchable (this doesn't matter unless you want to go from clean to drive while playing)

-No USB or MIDI outputs

-Very prone to be affected by ground loops (This makes the amp buzz. I don't know if other amp models are less affected, as this is the only amp I have at the moment. If you wait 5-10 minutes, the buzz usually goes away.)

So all in all, this is a nice little amp to start out with and for practice. You probably couldn't annoy your neighbors with it if you wanted to. And if you do start with this model, you're probably going to want another one soon, or at least a pedal to spice it up. If you're looking for a heavy duty amp with everything imaginable squeezed into it, or one for recording, don't bother looking at this one anymore. There are many other models out there.

Here's the deal, if you want built in effects, tuners, and other bells and whistles, steer clear and get a Line 6 or something. But for a basic amp that gets a decent sound this definitely fits the bill. I bought mine used for 40 bucks. My first impression of it was that it was a bit too bright . However, for it's size the low end sounded pretty fat due to it's closed back design. After rolling the treble way back (to about 3), cranking the mids, and bringing the gain down to about 4, I had a nice punchy blues tone with my Strat. Rolling the volume back on the guitar revealed a nice rhythm sound that was chimey with some grit. This was all in the drive setting. The Clean Channel is nice with lots of headroom at lower volume, but it doesn't keep up with the Drive Channel in loudness. Better off just turning down on your guitar in the Drive to clean up. I did some slide guitar at a recording session with this amp, and it sounded huge. If you gig with this amp put a mic in front of it and the sound man will love you. For a solid state cheapie, this amp can sound surprisingly good if you're willing to spend some time tweaking.

I just bought this amp 2 days ago at GC. It worked for the first night and then died the second night. I was playing along to YT backing tracks with my lap tops line out to amps aux in and the amp just died. Ive read several message boards with posters that describe this same problem. Google: frontman15g input problems.

This Amp is good for a beginner. Bought it for my son, he likes it.

If you want to use the AUX IN to connect an ipod or mp3 player must connect using a volume dimmer (available at Radioshack for $8)

The gold-plated connectors are a nice feature. However, I ended up replacing this cable because it is not properly shielded and kept picking up radio stations. (I used it to hook up my iMac to my TV.) I did not have any issues with the cable breaking, like the other reviewer.

The cable worked fine right away but after some use one of the ends has a loose connection so it "cuts Out" an needs to be wiggled to make it work again.

I was surprised this cord didn't short out after all the use I've put into it. I ended up braiding it so I could use it with headphones and it still works great. Most cheap cables will short out after being braided. Even the beats cable does but this one won't. I'm very impressed!
