I DJ on the weekends (Mac book Pro; DJay Software)and these headphones are perfect for someone who is serious about their music but isn't a serious musician. I would not call myself a professional DJ; its more of a hobby.

They feel really sturdy and the screw-in, removable cable is an excellent touch. I wish the plastic was aluminum but that is not to say that the plastic feels cheap. All of the build materials feel like they are good build quality. I think these will outlast my old, gamer-style USB headphones.

Great headphones, especially for the sub-$60 price.

Great for single sound card computers, especially laptops. Build quality is perfect for entry level and intermediate usage. Frequent mobile/professional usage would demand a device with stronger materials to handle more jammin'. Works perfectly with XP & 7 with no driver installation needed. Be aware that this device may become the default primary sound card, but this is easily changed in OS sound setup. I use this with Virtual DJ on an ACER Aspire Laptop 2.2GHz AMD Turion CPU, 2GB DDR2 and there is absolutely no lag/delay between the cue output and the master output. Nice 10ft USB cable, 6ft stereo, both with screw locking action into headpiece.

Some have complained that the frequencies are off, but this device was designed for a DJ to cue etc, in a specific environment, not for casual listening on an mp3 or portable music player. For it's intended purpose, it works well. It does get a bit uncomfortable with extended usage, but hey, it is supposed to press on your ear to "seal" and block external sounds. Even the really expensive ones are only a little better with this. So hey, if you had any reservations about this (as I had), I hope I addressed some of them. I thank the previous 2 reviewers for their assistance as well.

I use a Macbook Pro for DJing -just recently transferred my 300G worth of music to the machine. I also use Mac's DJay program. The Gods of Musick must be on my side, because just after I finished transferring all my music to the MBPro (April 1, 2010), these headphones were released on the market! These ENTIRELY BYPASS THE NEED FOR A SOUNDCARD. DJs who do not need to plug additional things into their computer (i.e. keyboard, instruments, etc.) can use these USB Headphones to pre-cue / preview songs they're about to play without connecting separate headphones to a separate USB Soundcard (saving a person around $200). AWESOME PRODUCT for DJs who simply use their Macbook Pro (don't use anything else) to DJ! I can't believe this wasn't released sooner! A serious blessing.

ok so i bring my laptop to most parties, i wanted to dj just for fun! there was one problem i did not how to dj or what equipment i needed; that was until i found NUMARK DJ 2 GO AND NUMARK PHX USB HEADPHONES! Now i feel like a professional dj. no matter what kind of laptop you have just plug numark dj 2 go on an open usb drive and plug the numark headphones in another usb drive, open the dj program (included with the numark dj to go) and you are set! that's it, it's just that simple. The headphones work as a secondary sound card for the laptop allowing you to hear a different song from the one the laptop is playing. So if you like to dj whether you are a pro or a beginner this is a great product.

I have had these headphones for several weeks and am very impressed. The cables are of superior quality, nice and thick with shiny gold-colored (brass coated) connectors for excellent conductivity and hence really good signal-to-noise ratio. Comes with 2 cables, one for USB and one for audio (comes with the larger plug and smaller one like you use for your iPod). Also the cables screw in at the "can" so it won't pop out. They also included an extra set of ear covers and a really nice soft leather style travel bag.

A downside is if you are a smaller person these may start to feel heavy for you after awhile. I sometimes get a bit tired after several hours which is normal for having anything on your head that long.

I researched headphones for awhile and I think these are the best out there for the price you can't beat!

*I used to have a set of Bose which was a super waste of money 1 star for them!

I have no idea why getting a TRRS extension cable that works with Apple's headphone remote control and microphone (as well as card readers and other accessories that connect through the headphone jack) is so difficult. It seems like something that a lot of people would want/need, and the options are few and far between. Aside from the Ledhill cable, the only other cable I've seen that reportedly works is the Startech cable which only comes in black.

As I preferred a cable that matched my Apple headphones, I decided to get the Ledhill cable. Although I couldn't get the first cable to work correctly, I'm not sure if that was caused by a defect or damage in shipping. But when I contacted Ledhill, they tested and shipped an exchange cable right away. Fantastic customer service! And their shipping was great -I ended up with the replacement cable arriving still within Amazon's original shipping estimate for the first cable.

The new cable is working great, and the connector that plugs into the phone is only slightly larger than the one on the Apple headphones, which is great if you have a case on your phone (like I do) that limits the size of the cable that can fit into the headphone jack.

One tip: at least on the iPhone (not sure about other devices), it IS important to connect your headphones or card reader to the extension cable BEFORE plugging the cable into the phone. Apparently the phone sets the type of connection when you plug in the cable, and, if there's no device at the other end, it won't know to use the mic/remote capabilities.

After trying different extensions, I finally found an extension that actually works with my square! The shipping was quicker than the website said.

This is a true iPhone headset extension cable, as it carries the electrical signals required to use it with volume controls/swipe card readers/additional accessories.

Wish it were available in longer lengths, but it is beautiful and actually works, unlike a number of products that claim to work with iPhone accessories!

Thanks a ton!

I'm using this for my synthesizer's vocoder function. It sounds great and doesn't pick up any noise unless you're talking right on it; which is what I wanted. My only dislike is how stiff the mic is and how little it bends. All of the bend is in the base so you will get limited angles to which you can use this. Other than that, sound is great so it's a good and inexpensive buy.

The Audio Spectrum DJM618 Professional XLR Gooseneck Microphone is a great addition to my new mobile DJ Set-up. I recently designed a completely portable and modern dJ booth and the slim contemporary style of this microphone fits right in. The audio is very clear and the construction quality excellent. Great value compared to other more expensive brands of similar style mics.

I have used some very expensive microphones of this type that are much better, BUT, for the money this one is the Best in the sub $120 price range. Solid build quality and good sound reproduction that you would expect from more expensive microphones.

Pros: It works very well, adjustments are not transferred directly to the microphone and it appears to have good off access noise rejection. Looks professional and well built. Low price!

Cons: It's a little heavy and the mic head is larger than the picture implies. Need to find a good solid base or recessed XLR connection for desk or podium mounting due to the weight.

I needed a mic to add to my collection that I could use for a smaller DJ console for announcements that was quick and easy to set up. The console is only 4U high and a 1U mixer with front XLR inputs for mics so I was looking for something that could just be plugged in. Nice and simple and if people wanted to stand behind the console to use as a podium that would be an option as well as some people don't want to use the wired or wireless mic and stand infront of the crowd. Also was looking for a mic that could quickly be mounted on an XLR base for events and video production. This works great.

First of all, the image of these are misleading: they look much cooler than this (at least to me). They do fit very nicely in my Giro 9.Ten and sound great so far, but I need to wait until winter to actually know just how well they work.

Folks, this does it all. Choosing your tempo is quick and the "tap" feature is huge when making a big time change. It provides both audible (click) and visual (lights and meter) timing cues.

The mute is helpful to quiet it down while still using the visual timing queues and the device retains it's settings when powered down so next time you begin right where you left off.

This device covers various time signatures and I love its ability to sub-divide timing. For example, you can set your main click to 80bpm AND also have a sub-click occurring based upon a fractional note (e.g. eighth, triplets, sixteenth notes, etc.). Very cool!

Buy Boss DB-30C Dr. Beat Metronome Now

Pros: Its small, easy to use, inexpensive, durable, can clip it to a stand, and has nice variety of beats as well as the click isn't too annoying. The display is also nice with both a light and hand movement.

Cons: It doesn't turn up very loud and it goes through watch batteries very quickly. I don't know about you, but #2032 watch batteries aren't normally sitting around (not like 9v or AA) and even on lowest volume it goes through one every couple of months with daily use. I put sound through powered speaker system (or headphones) so the batteries don't get used too quicky and I can hear it. If you didn't, I suspect you'd eat batteries very quickly. Nothing like practicing with your band to the metronome and it suddenly dies and no batteries available.

If I had to do it over again, I'd go for the DB 60 (uses AA) or 90 (uses 9v or ac power) or look at the yamaha. In fact, I'm shopping for a db 90 now as I write this...

In teaching myself guitar, I found myself learning the notes and melody but not necessarily being a devotee to keeping accurate time. To realistically gauge my progress, I decided to buy this metronome. It comes highly recommended on various guitar sites like Musician's Friend, Zzound, etc. and having used it, I think the reviews are accurate. You can configure the rhythm, beat AND tempo and with it's compact size, it's more functional than comparable models. The only negative I have is the "beep" tone as a former violin player, I'm used to the old school "click" sound of traditional wooden metronomes. But then again, I can't clip one of the old wooden metronomes to my music stand, now can I? ;-)

Highly recommend.

I have used this metronome for about 2 months. I practice about 23 hours per day, most of this time with a metronome. After about 3 weeks of use, the unit would work well for about 60 minutes then quit and reset it itself to 120 bpm. Once this happened, it would work correctly for only a minute or two then stop and reset back to 120 bpm again. It needed to sit idle for at least an hour before it would work correctly. The replacement given me by the retailer developed this problem after only a week.

I bought the "Boss" about a year ago. It arrived quickly and I originally liked it. After only 3 months the thing reset to its default of 120 bpm. No worries, I replaced the batteries and it worked for about another 3 months. Replaced the batteries and the thing refuses to work. All my paperwork is tossed so here I sit with a no good piece of junk, unable to return it. Buyer beware on this one.
