I walked into a music store to buy a strap, saw some guitars that I wanted to test so the shop owner let me use this amp. The sounds that came out of this little amp was unbelievable. I came back the next day with my own guitar and I walked out with this baby.

Pros:

-Tube amp, nothing like the warm sound of a well driven tube amp.

-10in Celestion speakers, the do make a difference.

-Two channels (Clean and Overdrive), footswitch included.

-Great sounding overdrive channel.

-ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) adjusts your tone for that good old British or American tone.

Cons:

-No reverb

-Don't expect to gig with it

-Pricey for a practice amp at 500 smackaroos

I've never owned a tube amp in my years of playing guitar. The other amp that I own is a 75W Line 6 Spider II modeling amp and I like the Blackstar more than the Line 6. If you are looking for something cheap then look elsewhere, however if you want the best practice amp money can buy then you've got to try this amp. If you have the chance of testing one out then do it, hearing is believing!

To preface this review, I've owned two other tube amps both of which I loved certain things and disliked others. I owned a Fender Hot Rod DeVille 410, 60w, and I still own a peavey Delta Blues 115, 30w amp. For starters, I play music in Church which is extremely demanding for sound and versatility in musical equipment. The problems I would almost always have with the more powerful amps were that they were ALWAYS too loud when I turned them up past 3. The problem with this? Tube amps don't sound good at all if they are only on 1 or 2. I played smaller blues gigs before I played in church and let me say that even for those blues gigs, even a 30w amp was too much.

This is where the beauty of this Blackstar amp started for me. (I've owned this amp for over a year). It delivers EXCEPTIONAL sound for only 5w of output and it is PERFECT for smaller gigs, or even bigger gigs (except it'd probably be wise to invest in the ht 112 cab and you'll likely need to mic the amp). But in today's day and age, the loud, melt your face, style of stage sound has gone sorely out of style (unless you're playing huge venues and amphitheaters). So this amp is a very good solution for the hobby/church playing musician. It has great features, there isn't one lame thing about this amp as far as the included features. It's a little bit of a bummer that there's no included reverb in this amp but stompboxes or modelers in front of the amp solve this issue wonderfully anyway. So I don't really consider this a con. The onboard overdrive sounds great and is as good as many of the stompboxes out there. Its more of a rock sound than a blues or ambient sound. But you can't find a better amp for the price and its also great for home practice. Its also fairly lightweight (compared to a big tube amp like the Fender 410!) and is easy to transport. I personally think this thing sounds better than my old Fender 410 and is MUCH more well rounded.

Let me also note that even though its only 5w of output, this amp gets very loud. You won't be turning it up to 8 or 9 trying to squeeze every decibel out of it, it keeps a great volume and tone at 5 or 6 and is plenty loud for any smaller gig (which is most of us musicians that play around town or at church). I would recommend this amp to any musician looking for a great straightforward rock sound with versatility in ambiance and blues sounds. Just a great amp. Bravo Blackstar!

As far as sound goes, they are very good for the money. I like a little more bass, but not too much and they seem to be just about right for my tastes. They also come with multiple ear pieces, which definitely helps with comfort. I usually never have to use them though, but it's good peace of mind that in case the stock ear piece doesn't fit you have options. I've owned plenty of ear buds, and the longest lasting one I've had was 1.5 yrs after heavy use (running everyday, gym, walking to work everyday over a mile, video games) and so I expect them to last a little longer than 6 months. But hey, for the price just buy another one. I did.

They are my favorite pair of headphones that I have ever owned. They are extremely comfortable in the ear and I forget that I even have headphones in. The sound quality is great I listen to a variety of genres and everything sounds top quality coming through the headphones.

Durability is also fantastic. I've owned these for a long time and never done anything special to care for them. They usually end up stuffed in a pocket, are often tangled, and yet have survived it all. They are in great condition.

While this is not the top notch headphone, it does not cost you an arm and leg either. For only $10, this is a great buy. The package is simple and may seems a little bit cheap, but for this price, what do you expect.

The build quality is very good though, compare to popular Sony, sennheiser counterparts. The cable is sturdy and the extra ear foams are good to have.

Sound quality wise, the low is a little bit muddy and the mid is not absoultely clear. But again, please keep in mind that its low cost.

I usually do not leave reviews as I usually forget to check back and follow-up regarding the products that I purchase. But in this case, I was so impressed with this product that I wanted to share my experience with others as well.

This ear phone has following merits:

1. Produce excellent sound

2. Feel comfortable in the ear

3. Isolate the outside noise

4. NOT fall out when working out

I like it very much and strongly recommend it to you

These are the best headphones that i have ever used. I actually have this and the Koss portaPro. But I am usually using this because I like to ride my bike and listen to music (Yes, I know I shouldn't do that). I usually feel like In-Ear stereo headphones break very easy but the Seasky has lasted for a really long time and I have had no problems with the quality of the sound.

Just picked up a pair of these in Hong Kong (yes they are legit, went to an actual B&O showroom); here are my initial thoughts.

To preface, I am a musician (play piano, clarinet, saxophone and guitar) and have been blessed with the gift of perfect pitch, so I take my audio equipment purchases very, VERY seriously. I've previously owned several decent pairs of earbuds; I'm on my third pair of B&O A8s/Earphones (the first two each lasted for over 4 years) and also owned a pair of Bowers and Wilkins C5s before they broke. Was looking for a decent replacement for the C5s and had it narrowed down between these and Shure's SE425. I'll break down the review into a few categories for simplicity.

---COMFORT & FIT---

To say these are a wonderful fit is a drastic understatement. The H3s come with 4 different sizes of in-ear tips, and once in, it takes a lot for them to fall out. I've hated wearing traditional in-ear monitors in the past because they often fall out of my ears when I'm running or lifting weights, but these simply stay put. They're extremely light and comfortable and seal very well in the ear. These are truly the first IEMs that I've been able to make work for me fit-wise.

For comparison, the B&Ws use a circular inner ear loop to stay put; they actually worked very well for me. Shure's offering fits with the cord wrapped behind the ear as per usual; it's a love-it or hate-it approach, and for me I simply found the H3s to be a much more solid, comfortable fit. But again it comes down to personal preference.

9/10

---APPEARANCE AND DESIGN---

B&O has always been known for their design work, and the H3s are no different. They're crafted from a single block of aluminum, with 23 port holes drilled into the back of each earpiece framing the BeoPlay logo. In a nutshell, they look simply stunning; I've already been asked about them by a dozen people in the last week alone here in China/HK. They come in silver, black, and red; if you want to make a statement, definitely go with the red, although the black ones have a subtle elegance about them as well. While they're not instantly recognizable in the way that, say, Shure's offerings are,

9.5/10

---SOUND QUALITY, MIDS AND TREBLE---

If you have listened to any B&O headphones before, the common theme among them is fantastic highs and a rich, wide mid. As far as the treble goes, there isn't much more that needs to be said. You'll have a nigh impossible time finding a set of buds for this price that can simply match the depth and clarity that the H3 has for the price. Shure's SE425s come close, but even then there is still a noticeable difference (the C5s, while extraordinarily good in their own right, just can't touch the H3s either). Individual instruments sound clear and precise, almost as if you're actually playing the instrument. If classical/jazz/acoustic is your thing, you'll be blown away by the response.

10/10

---SOUND QUALITY, BASS---

This is the traditional Achilles' heel of any B&O headphone. The A8s and Form 2 alike struggle with any sort of bass whatsoever. So, the verdict with the H3s? Its...a mixed bag. It's a MASSIVE improvement from my A8s, or any other B&O offering, I'll give them that. The bass is quite punchy, but not in the massively oversaturated way that, say, Beats are known for. For the vast majority of songs, the bass complements the outstanding mid and treble nicely, never drowning out the highs but also not hiding in the background the way B&Os usually do. However, where these really start to struggle is with heavy EDM or dubstep. Bass here can sound a bit muddy, as if the drivers are struggling to deliver. It's not horrible by any stretch of the imagination, but if you exclusively listen to heavy hip-hop or EDM, then you definitely are gonna notice a difference if you check out the SE425s or the C5s. The SE425s are just more balanced and precise in their bass delivery, always sounding clear and deep. The C5s also do a fantastic job of delivering powerful bass, but do sacrifice some of the top-range precision to achieve this. That being said, I listen to quite a bit of EDM (going to TomorrowWorld this September!) and still find the H3's perform quite nicely. All in all, a marked improvement, but there is a noticeable gap between these and some of the competition.

8/10

---VALUE---

I'll just get it out of the way: with the vast majority of B&O products, you do pay for the name. However, IMO $250 is a perfectly reasonable price to pay for this level of sound quality. The B&W C5s are cheaper, at about $180, but the H3s sound considerably better. And while the SE425s offer better bass performance, you really have to step up to the SE535s to get the level of mid-range and treble performance that the H3s offer.

Also, it should be stated that B&O offers a 3-YEAR warranty on all of their products, which is substantially better than pretty much any other warranty on the market. You mail in/walk in with the broken headphones, and they replace it no questions asked. Customer service is a big deal for them, and I've been exceptionally satisfied in my 8 years as a B&O customer.

9.5/10

---THE FINAL VERDICT---

All things considered, this offering from B&O is exceptional for the price. The bass response could be improved, but the richness and clarity of the mid and treble range almost (almost!!) render this a moot point. You can't even come close to matching the high-end response at the sub-$300 price point. They are extraordinarily comfortable to wear, and look fantastic. In short, there are a hell of a lot of worse ways to spend $250, and if you are in the market for a higher-end pair of in-ear phones/IEMs, I really, really urge you to try these out before you make a purchase decision. You will not be disappointed.

9.2/10 (4.6 out of 5 on Amazon's star rating)

EDIT: The 3.5mm plug on my pair failed after about 2 months of use. I really wish B&O used an L-type connector on the plug to reduce strain, but unfortunately they don't. However, I walked into my local B&O store in Atlanta and they were replaced with no questions asked. Exceptional customer service to be sure, but it still is unsettling that these failed after only 60 days of use. Hopefully this new pair is more durable.

I bought these spearker stands because I sometimes use two small QSC k8's for gigs. the speakers are small so i was confident taht these stands would be sufficient. they hook onto my sub poles easily and lock on quite tight. the speakers sit well on it and I am sure they could handle speaker of greater size and weight than my small k8's. I like to make sure that it locks tight so that the stand doesn't spin around. I recommend these to anyone who would like to make sure thier dual speaker setup looks nice and clean.

This is a rock-solid clamp and post assembly that is rated for 30 pounds per insert for a total of 60 pounds. I use it for a pair of Powerwerks 50 Watt Self-Contained Personal P.A. System that weigh in at less than fifteen pounds each. I typically mount this on a On Stage SS7745 Adjustable Subwoofer Attachment.

My application does not begin to stress this assembly because not only is the total weight half the recommended maximum, but my PA cabs easily fit within the 20" center-to-center distance between the inserts. That is actually a lot of space, so measure your speakers from the center of their pole inserts and if they do not exceed 10" (or 9 to be safe) on each side from the center of the insert they will fit this unit.

Construction is an attractive, powder coated steel and heavy-duty. The tightening knob has a sufficiently large diameter to give you leverage to comfortably tighten the friction mount to your pole or stand. This has high quality and a low price a combination I love.

After reading reviews for other products that plug into the headphone jack, I decided to go midrange and buy the apogee jam. I received this today and have gathered first impressions. I will update this review as I draw more conclusions, and the rating may or may not change as a result.

First Impressions:

For 100$, I was expecting an awful lot out of this gadget. I don't have a lot of money for guitar pedal effects and a really nice amp, so the result of that is that my time spent at the amp tweaking the limited settings at my disposal is frustrating. The verdict on the Jam? Nothing! As in it took no time at all, took no difficulty, no tweaking. I plugged the 1/4" cable in and into the Ipad, loaded the free version of ampkit, and I was getting wonderful sound immediately. Those first thirty minutes with this new toy melted away in a flash as I played around with the included distortion pedal on ampkit. Some key features I noted as positives:

Pros:

1) Excellent sound, right out of the box. No batteries to put in, no complicated setup, no install. It just worked straight away!

2) No delay, at least as far as I can tell. This seems to be something people are curious about, and at least so far as I can tell there's not one iota of delay from what I do and what comes out of the speakers. I simply may not be discerning enough, but to me there's no noticeable pause.

3) Sensitivity is solid. I was able to modulate my picking style and achieve big differences in the output. For some reason I was expecting the digital out to be muddy. It may have been a silly thought, but it's definitely solid in terms of its adjustment to you.

4) On-the-fly gain adjustment works very well, and I love that it gives you a readout of the noise level on the device itself. It allows you to easily get to a good spot.

Cons:

1) Cost. Obviously this isn't that much for a good guitar input. You could easily spend a lot more for fancier gadgets; however, 100$ is nothing to sneeze at when you play as a hobby. It's definitely worth it since it's no hassle compared to what I have read about other products

That's my list of cons I know for sure so far. There are other issues that I worry about that cannot be ascertained in a first impression. I intend to update these at another time.

Potential cons:

1) Output to a larger speaker. The Jam itself has no way to route your output sound to a larger speaker, and I am not certain that a good solution is going to pop up just yet. If I want to find a backing track on youtube on my laptop and get the guitar and track to my headphones, I'm not sure I'll be able to. I expect there is a reasonable solution for this, though

2) Durability. I have read other stories about the unit failing. Mine was not DoA, but that's about all I can tell so far. It seems like it will hold up to shock. It doesn't feel cheap to me, and it has no little parts to lose (like a battery flap, for example). Time will tell if this guy goes the distance

All that said, I am elated with my purchase and give it a tentative five-star rating. I intend to play with it a lot more, and at this stage I am not quite sure which of the several guitar apps I should lay down my money on. Ampkit seems really good so far with its free effects and amp, so I may go with that.

UPDATE, 12-17-2011

After several months of use, I feel confident in updating my review a bit for those who want some more information! The device has not given me one iota of trouble so far. I can now add some more annoyances to the short list.

CONS:

1) Not being able to charge the iPad at the same time while using the Jam has caused a few situations where I had to put down the guitar after several hours of fooling around with recording and whatnot. I know! Who says I should take a break, right?! This has not been a major issue, in reality, but it is a potential one if you are away from somewhere where you can charge up.

2) The digital connection locks tightly into the port, which is good (it's not going to get ripped out of there), but it gets to feeling a little flimsy and makes me nervous about damaging the cable head itself or the port to the iPad. If you're careful, no issue should ever pop up, but there's that distant possibility.

All in all, any quibbles I have are minor and should not deter you from considering this purchase. This device along with a few key apps have rendered the Vox AC30 miniamp I bought entirely obsolete. The apps play a big role in this, for sure. I'll talk about my setup briefly, as well.

Ampkit and garage band are both awesome for their own reasons. Ampkit has such a breadth of interesting sounds and presets and customization on your output that it's a must. The problem is that you lack the smart instruments and the ability to record in an organized way. Garage band's guitar sounds and interface are a little more annoying to deal with (needing to set the instrument monitoring and the tracklength every time is annoying). Specifically, the guitar sounds feel somewhat limiting and more difficult to customize. They are nice, but I like Ampkit a lot more. The multitrack recording and smart instruments make garage band indispensable for actual generation of musical ideas! Therefore, I wish I could port my ampkit output sound into garageband. Too bad!

All in all, the apogee jam is confirmed as an excellent amp input. Never once have I had a malfunction of the device or any popping or noise that was not setting related. No issue of detection or anything. No batteries for the device, no hassle. The price is the biggest deterrent, but if all the other iPad interfaces have such nasty trouble, then it's best to save your money and grab a good one at the first shot, and the Apogee Jam is definitely a good one!

How about my Potential cons section from before? Let's see...

1) Ipad can use an aux. cable to output to a larger speaker without hassle. I can import backing tracks into iTunes no problem. It's a little more annoying than booting up youtube and flying, but it's not bad. You can also enable multitasking in the garageband app that will allow you to open up other programs while still getting guitar output, so potential con #1 was not a concern.

2) Durability. No troubles on my end. No failure at all. I have been pretty gentle with it, but it has seen its share of slogging around in by guitar bag. Solid device!

What more can I say? I'd buy another if this one broke or got lost without a second thought. There is no better alternative so far as I can tell without being exorbitantly expensive.

If you are like me, my research for a guitar connection to my iPad left me with choosing between the iRiffport and the Jam. I recently purchased, and then returned, the iRiffport. I am very pleased that I purchased the Apogee Jam as a replacement. Here are the reasons why:

1) The connector on the iRiffport (the one that goes into the iPad) is not a strong connection at all; it feels as though it could disconnect at any time. I have a stand to put my iPad on when jamming such that the iPad is in landscape mode, so the cord feels as though it will come out of moved the wrong way. With the Apogee Jam, the connector is just like the iPad's connector, except it ALSO has the "prongs" that come out of it, securing the connector into the iPad. To remove the connector from the iPad, you need to squeeze the buttons on the connector to make the "prongs" go in so it can be removed...very, very secure. I use the "Gumdrop" case on my iPad, which has a flap that goes over the charging port when not being used. This flap feels pretty tawt when it is open while the charging port is being used. IMPORTANT: if you have such an iPad case, like me, I certainly feel that the Jam will provide a much more secure connection to your iPad over the iRiffport. In fact, the structure of the iRiffport connector was so large, that I felt that it did not fit well through my case. On the other hand, the Jam's connector is the same small size as the iPad's original connector. This is also something to consider if you intend to use your iPad in portrait mode on a stand with the connector on the bottom of the iPad.

2) Probably the largest reason I prefer the Jam over the iRiffport: you can hear sound directly from the iPad. With the iRiffport, you MUST use headphones or attach external speakers. I tried headphones with the iRiffport and playing the guitar was very awkward. Nonetheless, with the Jam, I could attach headphones or external speakers to the iPad if I chose to do so. I wanted something that could make my iPad an amplifier for easy mobility around my house, without having to purchase another amplifier or external speakers. With the Jam, I have this.

3) The Jam has a gain meter (i.e., an LED) and a gain control. The iRiffport does not. When not being used to measure the level of the incoming audio, the LED lets you know if you are connected to the iPad, but not to any software (blue light), or if you are connected to the iPad AND to a software application (green light). There are no batteries needed for the Jam or the iRiffport.

4) I personally like that I can use my own guitar cord with the Jam. If the cord breaks, I simply replace the cord, not my iPad connection device. The iRiffport uses its own cord, and the connection to my guitar did not feel as strong as my "normal" guitar cable I used with the Jam.

5) Although a fairly minor point, it is nice to know that the Jam is advertised by Apple (look at their website and their Garageband video). And, since I have Garageband on my iPad, I was pleased to see that the advertising material on the Jam states specifically that it works with Garageband.

So far, I'm very pleased with the Jam.

I bought a cheaper interface first, to 'try out the concept' of playing and recording with an iPad. As a guitar player and songwriter, feel free to take my word for it. It works!

That said, the cheaper mic port connectors can be noisy and problematic, and will be quite unpleasant if you have any hopes of using some of the higher gain settings on any of the amp sims in GBand or elsewhere.

If you play guitar, sing and/or write songs and want to do so on the iPad, save yourself the $30 or $40 you'll end up spending on a cheaper interface and go straight to the Apogee. You'll save money because once you run into the limitations of the other interfaces, you're going to end up buying the Apogee anyways!

The Apogee will give you a clean and direct digital connection to the iPad. The mic input on the iPad actually has circuitry that changes the sound to favor the range of the human voice. Guitars sound okay, bass not so much. Again, any gain of any magnitude whatsoever will produce a lot of squealing and feedback in the headphones if you're using a cheaper interface.

In GarageBand with the Apogee, guitars sound great and so does my Fender Precision bass. I play it through a cleaner amp setting and it sounds tremendous. I haven't run a mic through it yet, but it's a clean interface so with an adapter any dynamic (no phantom power, sorry) mic will sound great. Plenty of great vocals (and instruments) have been recorded over the years with simple dynamic mics, so please don't buy into the advertising myth that you absolutely have to have a shock-mounted, phantom powered microphone to get a great recording. You don't.

There's also the question of volume. The cheaper interfaces are too quiet (one way of dealing with the feedback issue). The Apogee lets you play plenty loud with whatever sound you like. Very nice I must say!

For songwriting on the go, traveling, whatever, Garageband and the Apogee can't be beat. I say this as a long time Windows user, and I can assure you I'm not dumping my Thinkpad anytime soon, but this is really a blast. Being able to tap out a beat, record guitars, vocals whatever on this little iPad is really nice in terms of songwriting workflow. As other have said, you'll get so involved the time just whooshes away!

If you want phantom power and a more sturdy, powered setup, try the Alesis audio dock. For me, though, this is perfect.

Bottom line: If you're a songwriter looking to replace your old four track, SKIP the cheaper interfaces. Spend some more money now and you'll be glad you did.

*** Addendum: Latency with GarageBand is very good, but not air-tight. You'll feel a bit of drag when doing any sort of moderately fast soloing, but it's not that bad at all. I've just been spoiled with the very low ASIO latency I get on my PC. My feeling is that this is not due to the Apogee hardware, but rather imposed by the software. GB has to gear itself for the best latency under the worst circumstances, which would be an iPad 1 with virtual instruments and effects on every track. Hopefully future releases of GB will give users some ability to tweak latency for various scenarios and hardware levels.

I also tried this on my wife's Macbook with the (included) USB converter cable and it works great. No driver installation or anything. Very nice!

Why 4 stars and not 5? You've got to jump through some serious hoops to get a 5 star rating, otherwise it has no meaning! Apogee did a nice job here but that's it. There's nothing special going on here that won't be done at least as well and more cheaply by other manufacturers. Apogee could have priced this much more cheaply but prefer to cash in on the cachet of their name. This is in their own best interest, and seeing as they're the first to introduce a compact digital interface for the iPad, I'm happy to pay the premium for now.

Want JAM Studio Quality Guitar input for iPad, iPhone and Mac Discount?

I bought the Apogee Jam after being thoroughly disappointed with the iRig guitar interface. Like most inexpensive interfaces, the iRig uses the Mic input on the headphone jack of the iPad/iPhone for results that are noisy and low-fi, which simply takes the fun out of apps like Amplitube or GarageBand.

The Apogee Jam uses a direct digital in via the Dock connector, and cleared all that junk up in a hurry. It works perfectly in both Amplitube (v2.5 and up) and GarageBand, with low noise and a clean, fat signal. The input gain control is simple and useful, and because the headphone jack isn't being used you can hear your instrument through the iPad speaker if you wish.

There isn't much more to say. I am using it with a 3rd-gen iPad and iPhone 4S, and finally have a pocket-sized guitar rig that I can really enjoy. Huzzah!

HEADS UP for people with newer ipad with lightning connector, you will need to purchase a lightning to 30-pin connector. Other than that seems pretty solid.

first off I bought, own and love my Eden WT550 at FULL PRICE, about $1300 several years ago. I own two "head" amps one is my eden. the other is a Thunderfunk 550. I love the Eden world tour amp tone and controls flexibility. if you want a thick commanding bass tone, you MUST check out eden world tour amps. I'm am not a super committed musician, but I know great bass tone when I hear it. Eden world tour amps hit that mark very often in my book.

because of my HDADHD (joke kinda) I will not go into alot, if any technical detail, but I will tell you from the bottom of my heart will kick alot of butt and hold its own against fender, ampeg, swr, and it will fit in comfortably with greater brands like aguilar, sadowsky, etc. paired with some decent cabs, I'd recommend aguilar, bergantino or epifani. people, even people who don't know why things sound good will make compliments.

I run my wt550 with bergantion ht112+ex112+aguilar gs112 cabs and my fellow musicians love it.

If I ever get rid of this amp for any reason other than to never play bass again.... I SHOULD BE SHOT DEAD! seriously!

thats how much I love this amp. and at $600..something its an awesome bargain!

If you play something other than Eden it is simply because the legendary tone isn't your style. If it is for any other reason.....

I have been an Eden player for quite some time and have tried many others. This amp is the stuff dreams are made of.

The WT-550 is a great sounding amplifier, straight out of the box. you have to do very little tweaking or eq-ing to find an amazing, warm, powerful sound. The size is a little inconvenient, because you have to use rack mount ears to rack mount the amp, and they can be cantankerous to attach if you don't have the right length screws (Eden supplies the ears, but not the screws to mount them to the sides of the amp).

The main problem I've had is with the reliability of the amp. Mine is my number one playing amp, which I use every weekend. I have owned it for approximately 8 months, purchased new. About 2 months ago, it started having problems where it just stops putting out sound without warning. It is totally random but started happening each show where the amp just died in the middle of a set power still on to the unit but no sound coming out of cabinet or XLR to the board. The amp is cool to the touch when this happens and shows no warning led's or limit flashes and does not appear to be thermalling out, as I use a relatively low stage volume, do not push the EQ, and set the input gain low according to Eden's recommendations. The only solution is to turn it off for a few hours and then it works fine. sometime it works for an hour or more, sometimes it conks out after 5 minutes of sound check. I shipped the amp (at my own expenseEden would not reimburse) to an Eden authorized warranty center who had it for several weeks, only to be told that they could not find anything wrong and could not replicate the problem. they "tightened up" "some connections" and shipped it back to me. I tried using the amp at a show again last night after getting it back, and it conked out again on me in the middle of the second set. At this point, I am going to contact Eden and demand they send me a replacement unit, although I do not now know if I could ever trust another Eden amplifier.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend purchasing a WT-550. The amp sounds wonderful, but I can't rely on it to be there for me when I need it, which makes it worthless in my book. I will give Eden a chance to make it right, but do not have high hopes....

I've had my Eden WT550 head since early 2007. It's been incredibly reliable, with no issues of any kind. Heck I haven't even replaced the pre-amp tube, and it still sounds amazing.

My previous main amp was a Mesa Boogie Bass 400, which used to cost $150+ to re-tube every few years, the WT550 beats it in tone, reliability, portability.

Moving the Mesa around was always a bit of an exercise, its about ~50 lbs and due to its shape and weight you basically had to put it in a 4u+ case.

Meanwhile, the WT550 weighs about 19lbs and fits in most backpacks. I honestly can't tell you the number of times I've thrown that thing in a backpack and run to practice or a gig.

Additionally the WT550 comes with a bunch of Really Neat Things the Mesa did not; headphone out, balanced line out, etc, etc.

In terms of sound, when paired with a 410XLT and a 210XST it provides strong mids, with clear highs and incredibly deep lows. It definitely has a "modern" sound, so its not an SVT, but personally, I find that SVT tone to be a little boring (and somewhat played out.)

Per the Eden manual I tend to just set it flat and tune the EQ for the room, and it always just sounds awesome. Their manual is really well written, if you buy one of these I'd suggest reading the "setup" section at least, as its quite helpful.

All in all, I'm a huge fan of this amp, if it ever dies, it will be replaced by either another WT550, a WT400 (if I can find one...) or an WT800.

This keyboard met my needs well. It is very portable, came with the stand, and with connection to my laptop and has plug-in to the wall current included. Keys are close to realistic feel and sound is decent. Needed to add the sustain pedal which is inexpensive.

I like this piano, i'm still a total beginner but i've learnt a lot :)

The bundle is perfect, the stand it's common but perfect, the headphones sound real clear, the pc cable works fine and the pc class is okay, very recommended product/bundle

I'd say that beginners like me could start with this, it's not too advanced nor too basic. I have on my plans to produce music with the rythms and tones who are a lot, it seems pretty easy and simple, I just need some practice.

Great deal

Nice Bundle I was able to put it together in minutes.all you have to do is unwrapped everything and put the stand together, that's all. My children and I were playing in no time. The only problem was the headphones, they didn't work at all! not even on my laptop so I have to purchase an additional set.To return the headphones I had to return everything, but I didn't wanted to through all of that again.Very nice sturdy keyboard with touch sensitive keys, grand piano look.I will update after I try the software. But other than that, great bundle for the price.

If I spend $2K on headphones, I would expect that I would not have to pay for shipping. Perhaps the margins on $2k headphones are that tight that they can't afford to pay for the shipping. In any case, I use these for listening to movies on the airplane and the sound is great. I just wish I did not have to pay for shipping.
