I use this item in my car with my ipod and the auxilary input in my car stereo. I enjoy the fact that the wire is very lengthy, giving the option to allow passengers in the back of my car to change the music. I have encountered small moments when there was noise when I would move the wire around at the input jack. However, for the most part, the product is reliable and I haven't had too many problems with the item.

This appears to be a competent basic level cable. I connected it and it worked perfectly. However, of all the reviewers who experienced a problem with this cable, 75% said it was in-car use, 13% said it was in-home use, and about 13% didn't say where it was used. The extreme temperature range and vibration this cable sees being stored and used in-car must be too punishing for such a basic level cable, causing this unacceptably high failure rate.

In-car users would be wise to choose a heavier duty cable. Heavier duty cables cost more, but so does the constant replacement of cheaper cables. Cable manufacturers and distributors should provide more meaningful cable specifications so consumers can judge and compare cable quality and durability; some manufacturers do (Cables to GO), (Cables for Less), but most don't.

The Cables To Go 6ft 3.5mm M/M Stereo Audio Cable was delivered as promised, on time, and appeared to be in good shape. But the quality of the product is not good. The cable was purchased for use in connecting an MP3 player to the audio jack on a car stereo. After only a couple of weeks, the sound quality started to drop off. We wondered if the connection was bad, so we disconnected and reconnected the plug, but that didn't solve the problem. It turns out that the cable has a break somewhere inside the plastic coating and the only way to get the proper sound quality is to keep moving the cable until it gets to a position where the wires connect. The cable was cheap, so it's not worth trying to send it back and get a refund.

A must have cable for connecting your PC audio to your new LCD monitor. No heavy lifting here; it either works or it doesn't. It works.

I really like to color and look of these. But the headphones are incredibly tight on my head. They are so tight that wearing them for any amount of time longer than 20 minutes results in my ears hurting and turning red from the pressure. To give you an idea why this is so frustrating, I have a very small head. I wear children sized hats, sunglasses, etc. So these adult headphones being so tight on me means they are very small. The ear pad itself is not the issue, though that is a little small too (it doesn't really cover my ear fully). It's just the tightness of the plastic band part; which hasn't stretched yet after a fair amount of use. The ear pieces do rotate quite a bit which is nice for sharing a song with a friend, and the sound quality is quite good for the price. Just be ready to have to somehow stretch them or get headaches from wearing the tight plastic on your head. It's like wearing a super tight headband on your ears.

If you are buying this to just play around, learn notes, cords, practice, and travel with... then this is a good product for that. If you are buying to play at concerts then you should rethink this purchase, but I think this is still valuable to have either way. Research before you buy anything!

I got this little interface to go in my bag with my Macbook Air. Tiny laptop, tiny interface. See?

Pros:

it's tiny

it's built like a tank

there's very little noise

latency is very low

overall sound quality is excellent with my guitar or my dynamic mics.

Cons:

it's not Core Audio compliant you'll have to install drivers on your Mac.

there's no 48v so you're stuck with dynamic mics. Not that there aren't good ones, it's just a limitation

Very light (because it's tiny) and the weight of your guitar/mic cable can and will pull it off the desk. I'm considering affixing a few oz of lead inside the case :D

All in all, if you're looking for a very portable audio interface particularly for guitar input this one is awesome. If you can take a little more bulk, I'd recommend the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (which, unfortunately, wasn't available when I bought this one).

This microphone is durable, and maintains a snug fit even during the most physically demanding activities. I would recommend this product to any fitness trainer looking for new gear!

This headset is made for a larger head. Even though it is adjustable, on me, the boom still is nowhere near my mouth. The flexible boom does not stay where you put it. It returns to it's original position fairly quickly. Since I cannot get it to a position with which I can use it, I haven't tried it for sound. If you have a smaller head get a headset that just sits on one ear.

Ok, I have decided to extensively review the casio ctk-6000 keyboard. This was one of the most time consuming, and difficult instrument purchases I've made. I want to make a review that addresses all the questions I had, so it will help out others in the future. I am a recording musician. I compose my own music with guitar, bass, and drums. I wanted to get a keyboard to add ambience and extra flavor to my music. So, what I was looking for in a keyboard was a variety of tones, and the ability to personalize and tweak things. The casio ctk-6000 has a tone editor, where you can edit any of the 670 tones. You can change things such as vibrato, reverb, and volume etc. More importantly, there are 100 effects you can choose from to apply to a tone you make. The effects are cool, but limited. The coolest ones I have found are the wah's. You can store up to 10 personal tones. The tone editor is ok, but you can really only make effects that are basically phaser, chorus, flanger, distortion and wah. So it leaves a little to be desired as far as editing cababliity, but for the price I doubt you'll get any more editing capability with a different make or model. Moving on I bought this model because I wanted a pitch wheel. It works well, and you can use it to bend your notes up and down similar to a whammy bar on a guitar. Next up the little plastic wheel that you have to use to move through your tone banks. I have seen negative reviews on it. In my opinion, it's not bad it's fairly smooth, you just have to get it moving. don't be afraid to scroll through things super fast you almost have to in order to get to your tone quickly. You cannot enter in a number and go to your tone immediatley. I am basically storing 10 "go to" tones in my personalized tone bank. Next split, layer, and arpeggiator. Split is cool, very basic. layer I also use, you can layer any tone, even personalized. The arpeggiator is really cool. You can select well over 100 different arpeggios that will play when a key is held down. You can select the tempo for each arpeggiation to cycle through at. There are scales, patters, rhythems etc. I will be using this quite often. Next up Tones. The best tones on here are the organs, the synths, and the basses. The have some nice organ sounds, drawbar, rock, church, etc. The synths are cool, there is quite a variety sawtooths, leads, pads, atmosphere, etc. They have a killer synth bass. The drums are also good quality. Lastly The Extras. This came with power adaptor, stand, headphones. The power adaptor is casio brand. The headphones are nady audio, and are decent. I am using them as a back-up pair. I anyone is playing music strictly through headphones, I recomment a high level pair of sennheiser's. The stand is fine, sturdy. If you are like me, you'll wonder why they didn't include any mounting screws. Don't worry, they are in the stand already, just check the bottoms of the legs, they should be there. : ) That pretty much covers all the questions I had before I bought this thing, that I now have answers for.

I'm a newbie for keyboard playing. Just wanted try my first one. For a price under $200, the Casio CTK6000 is the best choice f me. Its sounds great, it's easy to use and it has a lot to learn, too.

I love the keyboard! It has plenty of extra features, including a huge variety of instrument sounds, but most importantly, it gave me what I wanted: a good quality sound with keys that have a good feel to them for about $200. However, a few of the keys will make extra clicking noises, but this only happened a few times and not if I am gentle with it. Also, the accessories could be improved... the headphones are not very comfortable and the keyboard doesn't sit well on the stand. The power adapter works fine. Overall though this is a very good quality keyboard for the price. If you're looking for a reasonably priced quality keyboard, you definitely won't regret this purchase!

My Fender Strat 25W amp works and sounds very nice. This is the replacement for the first amp I received badly dammaged by shipper (UPS), allso soaked from rain. The amp was shipped in the factory box and is insufficient for home shipment.

For a relatively inexpensive amp it serves it's purpose. We had an experience with another amp that we had to send back so we ordered this one. We should have stuck by the fender name. It is used everyday and my hubby really likes it. My only complaint is he plays it too loud but that is my problem not fenders.

I've had the ION Discover DJ for about a week now and it's been a great MIDI DJ controller so far. It's highly usable with just the right amount of controls for basic mixing and scratching. For being mostly plastic, the device feels well built with the knobs and buttons twisting/clicking solidly. The crossfader has a metal stem with a removable cap(!), and cuts smoothly.

The jogs are awesomely functional. They are touch sensitive (i can hold the unit upside down and activate the platters). They are also as smooth as butter, and amazingly sensitive when it comes to their scratch performance.

The current packed-in software (Mixvibes Cross LE) is great for beginners/intermediate djs, even some pros might prefer it. But the great thing about the Discover DJ is that it's also a MIDI device that can be used with any dj software that supports a midi controller (NI Traktor, Virtual DJ, Mixxx, DJay, and others), with a bit of mapping.

As either a beginner system or a backup for a pro, i think the unit is awesome for the price. no bells and whistles, just the basics with great jog wheels. I let my nieces and nephews scratch away on it, not worrying about it getting damaged. I plan on attaching guitar strap locks to it, so i can hang it around my neck and play it like a guitar.

Also for best results with audio performance, one should use an external audio interface with the Discover DJ (it doesn't include one it's only a controller). If one has to use their computer's onboard audio, download ASIO4all (Windows only) for best performance.

I started djing in 2002, I learned on Gemini Turntables and a Numark Mixer. Now I'm on the Technique Mk1200 Turntables and Pioneer DJM 600. Using M-Audio Torq Connectiv as my time coded computer djing system. Just saying this so that people know that I'm no amature to being a Disk Jockey. Now in days, most clubs, lounges or bars have a dj there. Nine times out of ten they are now using time coded software. Or they are using an "LE" or "Pro" midi djing software. Now in the new digital era alot of people are intrested in knowing the basics without having to break the bank. That is where the Discover Dj comes in!

Simplicity is the key to learning how to dj. No matter what equipment you learn on. But what Ion has done, is made a controller that is basic. But has even a few features that Intermidiate to Advanced Disk Jockeys can appreciate. But even with all the the good comes some flaws....

(The Discover DJ/Icue3 Controller)

It's made of plastic, it's ok quality. But if stepped on or not being cared for

the right way. It can break, and that would be money wasted. No matter what

you think of the product.

The Jog Wheels are a nice size and work great for what it's worth. Like to be honast, you're still not getting a real time CDJ or Vinyl feel out of these things. But with alittle improvising. They are really good for a controller of this quality.

The Dynamics are bad, I hear no real true changes in Treble or Bass. To me those controls are important to have when djing. especially if you want to have smooth mixes. Also the fact their isn't channels is kinda upsetting. But most people, especially if you don't dj on a regular won't mind. But to me it is kinda important especially if you're marketing this item to dj's and even the beginners.

The Cross Fader is decent, if you're a turntablist or a dj that likes to do a few stabs. This fader would take sometime getting use to. For the beginners, this is a nice cross fader to start honing your skills on.

The Sync button is a big help, and I think is one of the coolest features on this controller. Or you could do it manually and use the pitch buttons. But since the pitch is controlled with buttons instead of channel style like most other controllers. Pressing the Sync button is a big help. Especially for the beginners.

The Cue button, you can set up start up points in songs.

The REV button, to reverse the track faster instead of using the jog wheels. But you can also start the track back if you cued it. So a handy, but no so needed feature

The Play/Pause button does just that..Play and Pause the track.

The Scratch Button, joggles the scratching feature of the Jog Wheels. When off, you could use the wheels to speed up a song or slow it down while the song is going to beat match.

The A and B button just loads the tracks to either channel

(The Mix Vibes Cross LE Software)

It's a basic midi based, dj midi controller program. Created for the Discover Dj by Mix Vibes Lab in France. This program is already premapped for the Discover DJ/ICue3. It has the basic features that most Dj's use in digital djing today. You can create loops, record, and even sync this program with your Windows or Itunes Library. It's a nice basic LE program. Works fine, just make sure your computer is up to par before running the program. That way you get the best out of it.

I gave this item 3 out of five stars for being a good midi controller. But with flaws that make it not quite a 5 out of 5 midi device. Perfect for beginners, and still can be fun for the Intermidiate to Advanced Disk Jockey. Perfect for small get togethers, but not really a club, bar, or lounge quality midi controller. For $100 dollars it's a cool controller to have. Although you can find it for far less than that price here on Amazon or Ebay. Don't expect to much from this controller or you're going to build yourself up to be let down. But if you know what you're getting out of it. I would say get this and enjoy it.

First off I want to say if you have been DJing for a long time this isn't for you. This product is GREAT for people that what to know what its like to DJ but your no a pro or you don't want to put up hundreds til you know your really interested. It has 2 jog wheels for scratching and such, a basic mixer and it comes with a software that is easy to use and yet you can make some series mixes on it. It is more then you would ever expect out of a $90 product!.

Want ION Discover DJ USB DJ controller for Mac and PC Discount?

It works great with Itunes music, and it loads music pretty quickly, but you cant mix without the headphones, otherwise EVERYBODY will hear what you're trying to do...in that case it needs to have the headphone jack and it DOES NOT! it has a preview window but EVERYONE can hear what you re doing..in other words it lacks a very important part. I just dont understand why they wouldnt put one in....to get you to buy extra crap??? i dunno...so its a pretty good TOY for kids...not really if you want to get into the DJ biz. you have been warned...

Buy Fom Amazon Now

First off, let me be clear...THERE IS NO DIGITAL DEVICE ON THE MARKET THAT CAN SUCCESSFULLY (closely enough) SIMULATE VHYNIL SCRATHING FOR UNDER 400 DOLLARS...With that being said. Take this product as it is. I have been DJ'ing for about 6 years and I can say that it doesnt even come close to the control or precision that comes through vhynil but this is a very capable device.

One thing to understand is that if you are looking for something to scratch on, you need Jog Wheels that are as large as you can find, and you need something that is touch sensitive rather than motion sensitive even though they arent as sensitive as other products in the 3-5 hundred dollar range. This product has both of those. DONT however expect to become a master DJ with these...and dont get cocky because you used the software to to automix someting, real DJing is not something that can be learned through something like this but it will help you find your feel especially if you are looking to get into digital mixing rather than vhynil.

For 80 Bucks this is a decent product. It is great for both beginners and pro's that want something cheap to use as a travel MIDI. Only thing is its really flimsy. The knobs are nowhere near as durable as they should be and I am actually purchasing this again because after 5 months of use...(3-5 times a week for practice) Mine is in pretty poor condition. If you get it, you wont waste your money no matter how skilled you are, rookies wouldnt know the difference anyway.
