I got these headphones about two years ago on a recommendation from a friend as my Sony v700s were beaten to death from traveling and djing out. I am going back to Sony after this.

The sound quality is strong, nice lows and crisp highs. Also has some fun features like a light that blinks to the beat that would always crack people up late at night. Also a nice kill switch for the lows and highs for some Dj's that look for different frequencies when they mix.

But the design and sturdiness is just weak. 6 months after I got them the sound just went out on the right ear. They had barley been used. I sent them to Stanton and after about 60 days they came back fixed. And now two years later the plastic head extension just broke off as I took them off in the studio.

I am a DJ and I love the sound quality of the headphones. However, they are not durable, I concur with the other reviews. I haven't had these headphones for very long and while recording a mix at home and putting the headphones back on my head the ear phones cracked around the ear cup. Trying to get Stanton to replace product haven't heard anything yet. I hope they stand behind their product.

these are delicate headphones I have a pair that broke a couple of weeks after i bought them.

the extending adjustment band at each side are easily broken.

The drivers are awsome quality however the overall construction is poor not to mention the weight of these headphones is heavy.

If you do decide on buying these phones be careful as the adjust band is easyily broken and after one side breaks and you glue it together the extra pressure on the opposite side takes its tole and now you have a broken useless set of expensive headphones.

I bought these headphones as a gift for a young DJ just before his first gig. They actually did not last through the performance. As he removed them from the top of his head, the left ear cup detached/broke from the head band. For all the hype regarding Stanton, I expected a more durable product. I was surprised, stunned and embarrassed to have purchased such worthless garbage.

Although the sound quality is great on these, both sides of my pair broke. The left side sliding mechanism completely broke and is now hanging together by the wires. On the right side, the plastic cap that covers the sliding mechanism popped off. Very poorly made. Sure they sound great, but what good are they if I can't use them? That's why I only gave them one star.

This cable is hard to find. I had a previous cable from a different manufacturer that required an additional adapter on each end to convert from the TOSLINK to this optical 3.5mm plug. I had to replace that cable when the entire plug broke clean off when the cable was accidentally tugged.

This Sony version is top quality and solidly made. I use it to connect my MacBook Pro to my B&W Zeppelin speakers. Unfortunately, my wife's MacBook Air (2010 model) doesn't do optical out from the headphone jack, and now there's a B&W Zeppelin Air version that's wireless.

I had a previous setup where I used this cable to connect from an Apple Airport Express to the Zeppelin for wireless streaming so maybe I'll go back to that instead of upgrading to the Zeppelin Air.

I'm not a speaker designer, but I've fiddled a lot with amateur audio, including building my own speakers, crossovers, etc. I also just started playing bass (Squier Modified Vintage Jazz Bass), so I don't yet have the experience that many musicians do. With that said, I'm going to go on and tell you that this is a very nice unit. It's solidly built and a bit heavier than expected. For what I need, a small practice amp to keep at a friend's house, it's perfect.

However, Vox has chosen to leave a portion of the back open. This causes a couple problems. First, if you place it near a wall or flat vertical surface, sound reflects from the exposed backs of the speakers off of the wall. It's kind of like a Bose reflecting speaker. Second, the bass is not particularly tight and full, since the bass waves from the backs of the speakers can travel around and cancel out the waves from the front. (This is why sealed speaker enclosures are called "infinite baffle" designs. With these designs, the waves from the backs of the cones can't reach the fronts of the cones.) I'm fairly sure they did this to effect a sort of "ported" enclosure to take better advantage of the limited amp power (10 watts). The end result with the Pathfinder 10 Bass is that the bass is not very satisfying.

But never fear. Go to a home improvement store and buy a little piece of 3/8" white pine. Trim it to fit the rear opening and paint it black. Cut a small notch for the power cord and screw it in place. (There's a lip on each end of the opening that makes this easy.) Voila! It sounds MUCH better. The volume may be a bit lower, but it has some kick to it. (If you don't believe this will help, take the unit and turn it on it's back on a carpet or some surface that will seal the back opening. See for yourself if it doesn't sound better.)

I'm not responsible for what damage you may cause to the unit, but this really made a big difference in mine. I guess you could even put a couple hinges on the piece of wood and use the space inside to store the cord when you move it.

Overall, a nice unit.

There is a lot of versatility in this tiny bass guitar amplifier. It can sound bright and biting but has suprisingly good bass resonance for such a small unit. It's a Vox and it sounds like one.

The material had a crack down the side, it looked torn but I just covered it with some duct tape. Other than that it is a excellent practice amp. I love how far the drive goes and it's pretty loud for 5" speakers. Plus, the look is aesthetically pleasing and it is surprisingly light.

This amp is pretty righteous. I was expecting an amp with a brand name as reputable as VOX to be pretty overpriced, but this amp proved to have the best value for its very low price. It gets loud and lends a sweet, gritty overdrive from the gain knob. I don't quite understand the 'bright' switch, aside from the fact that it boosts the high end tones. The manual mentioned something about harmonics.

All in all, a fantastic product at a very agreeable price.

I bought this to go with my Legacy bass. Wanted a compact, flexible, reliable, good sounding amp as a beginner/practice amp. I am not disappointed in the least. Solid construction, stable, nice adjustability for tone and overdrive. Low noise floor and hum/buzz. A really good unit that I've been very pleased with so far. I use it mostly while practicing in my study. Great amp at a great price.

It took me about a day to get used to the sound difference between this and piano. The sound was good, it was just obviously different. But now that I have gotten a little more used to the differences, I love it. It came with a stand and an adaptor and a music book to get you started with songs ranging from very easy to more difficult. There is a learning mode that includes 100 songs you can learn to play on 3 different levels. The keys light up to let you know which button to hit next. (This feature can be turned off). And there's a voice that tells you which finger to use. (This can also be turned off.) The learning feature is fun to play around with and as with all keyboards, there are many different sounds you can choose from. Also the Demo mode, plays all the 100 songs for you so you can see how fast they are and how they are supposed to sound and it's fun to sing-a-long to.

Dad got it for me around 10, i stopped playing for about 6 years now and i feel bad.

I'm mostly doing this review, i doubt anyone will read this for the upcoming rock band 3. I hope to take this out, buy an adapter for the game and rock out without using that small fake rb3 keyboard.

Love this keyboard, i never learned to appreciate the hard earned money my dad paid for it at full price years back, quick google says you can get this keyboard used for about $60, i still think thats a lot and thats about 3 times as less my dad paid.

Love my dad thank you to introducing me into music, i didn't appreciate it as a kid, i've missed my music opportunity with the keyboard but i hope to play it recreationaly along with the guitar, violin, heck maybe the flute as a successful adult!

I have had this Casio Keyboard for 5 years. It is great and has lasted all this time. I am planning on getting a new keyboard because it has worn out. For starters or just playing in the house it is great! It has many different unique voices, keys that can light up, and tempo beats. Have fun, and take care of it!

This has turned out to be a better gift than expected. I bought it for the lighted keys and training. the programming in the keyboard is amazing. it includes background music when learning, a voice to tell you what finger to use, a time keeper, many music options. Overall they are a decent pair of headphones, especially for the price (I paid $30). The mid range is a bit too high, bass is accurate, and the treble is really clear. When I turn them up real loud the bass does not clip (distort) at high volumes. Messing around with an equalizer you can get a really great sound for listening to music, otherwise they would sound too muddy. They can get a bit uncomfortable over long use. They cover over my ear fine, but if you have big ears I can see them not fitting well. I use them for home recording drums, bass, guitar, it serves it's purpose well. It cancels noise pretty well also, not great, but good. It comes with a nice bag, the headphones fold up and fit into the bag so you can take them around.

I typically don't ever review an item after I purchase it(unless it was of poor quality; and I only do that to alert others) but in this case I wanted to offer some praise for this set of headphones. I picked them up for $14 shipped because amazon had them running as a black friday special. They sold out in a few seconds but I got lucky. I got them for work because I didn't want to expose my pricey set of Bose headphones to the sometimes dusty/dirty enviroment I work in. For $14 brand new you absolutely can not beat them. I paid more than that for a set of skull candy ear buds a while back. I'm not musically talented so I can't accurately comment on aspects such as treble, bass, ect, but they do not distort at high volume and if a song with bass comes on they bump nicely. For a cheap set of headphones that you don't have to worry about messing up, but yet still sound good, I highly recommend these. Mine also came with a carrying bag, a 90 degree 1/4" adapter jack, and a straight 1/4" adapter jack. With out the adapter jacks they plug into any MP3 player, Iphone, ipod, ect, jack.

After countless searching and reading reviews on $50-$75 "dj" headphones I opted to go with these due the mostly positive reviews and price. I had an idea of what to expect as far as sound quality but I was REALLY disappointed that there is no "clarity" in these headphones it's a lot of bass, the mids sound really muffled and the highs could also use a boost up. The design is ok and I did like that it came with a bag and 2 adapters.

Next time I'm going to save my pennies for the $159 (professional) Technic headphones.

The HP550s have great sound quality and a lot of power, and at a good price. I noticed an instant improvement in my mixdowns (I produce hardstyle and hardtrance). One problem for me is that my ears are slightly too big for them, but, then again, I have big ears. The other issue is their isolation. They block out almost all sound, but occasionally you do hear something come through. I would recommend these for anyone on a budget, but if you want pure quality, spend the extra $100 for pioneer hdj-1000s.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these headphones. I have owned many different styles and brands of headphones in the past and to reach the quality of these one would expect to pay quite alot more than these. The Bass response is unbelievable, High end is crisp and clear. I use them mainly with my computer and the sound is excellent. I can only imagine how they would sound thru a true stereo. If your looking for a great set of headphones believe me, you dont have to pay alot to get great quality. You will be impressed.

I purchased these back in jan of 05, and as of July 5, 2006 they are still going strong!! They still work as good as they did the day i recvd them. WOW.. in this day and age.. anything that lasts this long is worth the money....The price of these headphones are still unbelievable!!

These headphones are really good, and they aren't priced in excess of $100, like a lot of headphones I found on Amazon. They have a great frequency response, are comfy (although, a little more padding on the band connecting the two earphones might be nice), and they give you a pretty healthy sounding bass. Just what I was looking for.

They come with a quarter-inch headphone jack, so I recommend getting an adapter so that the headphones will plug into the more common sized plug.

If you're looking for a decent, sturdy pair of headphones for a low budget, these are the ones to get.

Absolutely wonderful headphones. Great sound quality, regardless of the price. Just got these in after ordering last week. I really just needed some cans for vocalist to use instead of in-ear monitors. I was hoping that these would at least sound somewhat decent, which they do. But if your wanting great clarity, you get what you pay for. ALWAYS. These will work fine for tracking, they can put out enough volume and they are pretty isolated, so not too much noise will bleeding through, such as a click track. As far as the sound in itself, they are extremely MID heavy. Almost no highs and no lows. The EQ band seems to be pretty narrow, which in-turn cuts layers off that crystal clear tone that your ears want to hear. All being said, they are extremely affordable and are a decent bang for the buck.

Although these are decent headphones, especially considering the low price, they are not exactly audiophile quality. Unless you're on a really tight budget, if you plan to use headphones mostly to listen to music, you might want to try something like the Sony MDR-XD400 or the Audio-Technica ATH-M40fs, which are still very reasonably priced (well under $100). But the Behringers have a nice, balanced sound. They're fine for listening to TV and video games (and even music, if you're not too fussy).
