I just used it with two different bands. Both loved it. the ability to dial in ones own personal mix is incredible. This feels like it should cost many times what it does because it works so well. For rehearsal purposes it's replacing thousands and thousands of dollars of gear and delivering an experience that is in another dimension. I have tried it with both my v-drums (needed a LR mono out to a stereo adapter), and putting a mic over my drums. Both worked great. Getting noise isolating headphones or earbuds with some good bass response is a good idea. If you are in a band, then you should own this.

I bought these headphones for DJing. i saw some reviews about them and they all seemed positive so i went ahead and bought them. here are my three favorite things and the three cons about the product.

PROS:

1. sound quality is great. All the highs mids and lows are very good. i tried them with a variety of different music and they performed well on anything from classical to hip hop. Although, in my opinion the bass and the highs just barely fell short of greatness

2. very comfortable. they have very good padding on the ear cups and head band making them very comfortable to wear. they felt nice and light to me and i have worn them for 5 hour sessions without a problem

3. the mini XLR cable was a very nice touch to the headphones. Sometimes on other headphones i woould accidently pull out the cable with my arm, but with the XLR locking mechanism i dont have to worry about that

CONS

1. The headphones only come with a coiled cable. its not a big deal but it would be nice to get more than just the bare minimum. maybe even getting a carrying case instead of a carrying bag would be nice.

2. The earcups only swivel about 60 degrees. the earcup swivel mechanism would be a lot more useful if it swiveled 180 degrees or even atleast 90 degrees

3. it would be nice if they were a little more compact. if the head band was a little less wide the earcups were a little smaller it would still be comfortable and it would be much more convenient for when you have it around your neck

4. it also would have been good if they had better noise isolation. i sometimes DJ on the go (during long bus rides or flights) and i also use these to make beats, it would be good to have better noise isolation so that i dont bother people around me when i have the music loud ( which i often do ) . But there made for DJing in a loud club environment so i cant really complain much

Received these headphones 4 days earlier than Amazon expected them to arrive. But coming to the Headphones itself...

For $140 this item is a steal!

When I opened these and tried them out on my cellphone mp3, I soon realized that they sounded a tad bit quiet, but that was mostly the case because mp3 cellphones are usually under powered, but not a problem a portable headphone amp couldn't solve.

As I consider myself a hobby try hard audiophile I'll try to explain the performance of these headphones...

Treble: Is great, sounds clear and is or was never distorted by the bass up until this point. But it is clearly not the factor, the headphones are specialized in.

Mids: There is not a lot to say about this, other than what I said about the Treble, except that it is more present in a song than the Treble is

Bass: First response when I got to hear it on these headphones was OMG...Clearly what the headphones specialize in but not over sounding the Treble and Mids, but rather being clear, loud and Deep(you will feel these headphones vibrating at 30hz and less!!What I really am, and I say it proudly, is a Basshead, and what I can say about the bass performance of these headphones is...greeeat!(Of course only, when they are powered correctly)

Physical: These headphones don't just perform great sound wise but also in looks! If it weren't for the looks I would've looked elsewhere for headphones but these were definitely my type. I like bulkiness, that's why I am probably going to get the Sony MDR XB-1000, but these headphones are right in between, not to big and not to small (but they will surround your ears, which is perfect for me.)

Conclusion: If you are looking for a visually attractive headphone that sound wise performs really well and love bass I can HIGHLY recommend this product. From the quality in Sound and Physical aspects, these headphones are more worth than what they cost...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

To the person that rated this 3 stars because they are not chrome color; go buy some generic "cool" looking headphones because sound quality obviously isn't important to you. That aside, these have to be the most amazing, durable, high quality, bassiest headphones I have ever had the pleasure of wearing and listening to. I've sat on these things like, 5 times by accident by now and everything still feels and looks like I just pulled them out of the package. Durability and look aside, these things are mad comfortable, if you're worried about your ears hurting after hours of usage, don't. I used to have to stop making music after a certain amount of time because my ears just couldn't take it, but these headphones are RIDICULOUSLY comfortable to wear for long periods of time, but how do they sound? AMAZING!!! The highs are beautifully clear and the bass is brutally heavy. It literally feels like you're sitting inside of a truck with massive subs inside of it if you have these babies blasting to some Trap or Dubstep, and the volume will NEVER, EVER distort. None of that crackling nonsense you get with other headphones. If you buy these and are dissapointed with the bass, it is VERY important to make SURE you have the right fit, they should feel nice and snug on your head, and ALWAYS brush your hair off of your ears while using these if you have long hair. On a side note, if you want more of a bassy feel, move your ears to the back of the headphones, and if you would like more of a high sound, move your ears to the front. The, mini subs we'll call them, are located at the back of the ears, so, just something I though I'd mention. Also, these DO have an awesomely durable telephone coil style of wire to connect them, so it can do that annoying thing that those wires do (you'll know what I'm talking about if you've used an old telephone before). To fix this, simply hang the headphones down and spin them counter-clockwise or clockwise depending on how the wire messes up, other than that no complaints at all. My cat was actually chewing on the wire, and all that was left was a VERY small dent that went away within 2 minutes. I swear these are made out of titanium. Anyways, I'm getting off topic, go buy these. Now. Trust me, this is all coming from a producer that makes music/listens to music for hours at a time (like, 10 hours consecutively) and I've never felt so strong about a product IN MY LIFE! If everyone had a pair of these, the world would be a better place.

Oh yeah, and if you don't like EDM (Dubstep, Electronic, Trap, Hardstyle, you know, those genres), these sound amazing with rock, classical (violins are particularly haunting with these), opera, metal (bass drops are brutal), pop, rap, and pretty much ever other genre ever. Also great for watching videos on the internet! :D

The pictures are misleading. The headphones look like they have a chrome finish, yet they are really silver. They are great headphones, yet compared to the Dennon 1000, they lack some bass. If only they had just a bit more kick, I would enjoy them more. Being a DJ, listening to a track without putting on the headphones is important to me. These headphones don't flip around like the Dennons and the Sonys. Over all these are good set of headphones. I've experienced the right ear going out on it, but I was at a gig at the time and I didn't have time to figure out what happen to them. I tried them again on my iPhone and they work fine. I'm hoping it's not an internal wire issue!

FYI: I did make sure the quarter inch jack was plugged in all the way and it was on tight! The right ear just didn't work. And I don't have a left and right fade on my mixer for headphone use! I'm crossing my fingers it was some wired glitch or maybe it was human error on my part!

The left ear won't work.I replaced the cable and it still didn't work.Contacted the vendor and still no support and no warranty info (I had them 3 months and never took them out of my studio). These headphones are crap and the fact that the customer service is nonexistent makes this a horrible buy.Stay away from the headphones spend the extra cash and get some Senheisers.

These are pretty dang good. You don't find many Bluetooth headphones like these that have an FM radio. The FM radio comes in crystal clear. With the help of the seller, I am now able to get these headphones working with no problem. They work great! Paired with my iphone5 with ease. Sound quality is pretty good too. Would recommend these to a friend, especially for the $. Only negative is the plastic of the headphones are a little flimsy, but they do collapse into a travel / medium pocket size. Wish they came with a case, but no big deal.

There are lots of bluetooth headphones out there, but few that have NFC capability. NFC makes the initial pairing so much easier, but it also makes using the headphones with multiple devices much easier. Without NFC, you often need to search for which device it was last connected to, disconnect it, then reconnect it to the device you want. With NFC, you simply tap and it switches over, and it can also automatically turn the bluetooth radio on if needed. Tapping again will disconnect, turn off the bluetooth radio (if it was off when connecting).

The bluetooth connection and NFC worked perfectly, paired up instantly and audio streamed without a hitch. Would be nice to have a wired jack, just as an option or if the battery dies.

For the price, I am quite happy with the product so far. These headphones are not going to be audiophile quality, but they sound just fine to me for casual use. The earpads are foam, which let your ears breathe, and they also do not seal out outside noise, which may be a good or bad thing depending on how you want to use these.

My main concern was the durability of the unit, but it seems fine so far. The folding hinge is made of metal, which looks like it will be durable and much better than if it was plastic. There is a ribbon cable at the hinge, but the way it was made, it looks like there is not much stress on it, so hopefully that will hold up well. The hinge when folded does expose the ribbon cable and the internals of the hinge, so I'd be wary of debris getting in there when throwing it in a bag. Wish it would have come with some sort of case or pouch.

I have not tested the battery life. Charging is easy with any standard micro usb charger.

There is a microphone which is embedded in one of the earpieces. I don't intend on using this too much, but I tested it with a call and it works OK. It sounds somewhat like you're speaking on a speakerphone, kind of like you're slightly too far from the mic, but it's not too bad and no one had any problems hearing me speak.

The buttons are a little tight, requiring you to press a little hard to register and they make a bit of click sound, but that is a minor gripe.

So far, so good, will report if anything ends up breaking or going wrong with these. For $35, this was a great deal.

I had a much more expensive pair of bluetooth headphones that had recently decided to stop working. So when I saw these on Amazon for $40, I was intrigued, yet skeptical. I mean, really. How much worse quality and reliability would headphones for less than half the price of the others be? Well, i'm happy to say that I was wrong.

I own a pair of the Jabra Sport bluetooth headphones, which are GREAT for when I am active, but not so much when I am on a plane. When traveling, I prefer headphones that completely cover my ears to ensure full sound quality and complete blocking out of nearby noisy passenger or screaming kid. These headphones deliver on both aspects. The music comes thru cleanly and the large buttons on the right headphone make it easy to adjust the volume or skip\rewind\fast forward tracks as desired. They connect very easily to my Ipad 3 and Iphone. Battery life is ok. I can get 5 7 hours of playback out of them before needing to charge.

Now, the not-so-good aspects. The headphones seem a bit on the fragile side. Lighter materials had to be used so that one can safely fold the headphones without damaging the wires within and this can be felt. I am afraid to drop them, as it feels like they could shatter. Also, when surfing thru tracks, there is a 1 second or so delay between the pressing of the forward\backward button and the playing of the song. For example, let's say the next track was the U.S. national anthem. When you press the forward button to move to this song, it will come in at "...an you seeeeeeeeeeee".

All in all, for $40, I can honestly say I am getting my money's worth out of these headphones. Would surely recommend.

These headphones aren't too bad. They're nice to wear for running and for casual walking. The NFC is clutch and the internal mic works well too. The bass and volume could be better. I just like my music loud and bass full. All in all: Good product for the price.

Unless you're buying this for an old that's just starting to play guitar, don't waste your money matter of fact, you wouldn't be happy with it then either. "First Act" has a cheaper, better sounding amp. It has rattled from day one, doesn't have a mid setting (just bass & treble), and bass can't be turned up past 3 without some MAJOR rattling. Save your money skip this amp!

Lets see...For practicing at home, this amp is all I could ask for. Plenty loud, can use all my foot peddals thru it fine. it sounds great, and it's light. However do not try to run a microphone thru it, because I can't get enough volume from the mic to even hear it! I assume that may simply be because of a high z/low z thing tho. You would probably be ok if you put the mic thru a preamp first. All in all I still say the amp is great!

This amp doesn't really do much. The sound is a bit cheap. Maybe I'm missing something, but this amp doesn't really give that solid electric guitar sound I'm looking for. It literally just makes my guitar sound louder and by louder I mean it sounds the same way it would if it were unplugged. I don't even bother with it any more. I recommend looking somewhere else for an amp. This one won't cut it.

I've owned similar, more expensive practice products (Tascam MP-GT1 and Line 6 Pocket Pod). This product has advantages (and disadvantages) over both.

Unlike the Line 6:

1) The batteries are rechargeable in the Axehead, so if you leave it on by accident, you don't have to replace anything, just recharge with USB.

2) The Axehead does not drain the battery when left plugged in.

3) It does not feature the same array of effects available in the Line 6.

Like the Line 6, it supports the use of any external device with a headphone output to supply music to jam to. That means you can use the Axehead to practice along with your iPad, phone, laptop, or anything else you want. This is a huge plus for either device (Line 6 or Axehead) if you like to jam along with tracks on Youtube. That also means you can download freeware like Audacity and use it to slow down MP3s, chop out the guitar solo, or alter the pitch. That also means you are not limited to any audio formats anything with an 1/8" headphone output will work.

Unlike the Tascam:

1) The Axehead does not play MP3s. That means you need another device, like an iPhone or laptop to play back music.

2) Since the Axehead does not play MP3s, you cannot natively slow them down, change the pitch, or loop sections of the song, like you can with the Tascam.

3) It does not feature the same array of effects available in the Tascam.

4) It does not have a metronome, like the Tascam.

Unlike both the Tascam and the Line 6, the Axehead does not have a tuner.

All said, this is a fantastic product. It does not have a number of the more advanced features available in similar products, but you can make up with that using freely available software. The price is great, and the simplicity of the Axehead makes it a pleasure to use. I have not encountered the earbud problem others have reported here.

Does what it's supposed to... I don't really use the overdrive sound too much.

It seems like the high end is rolled off somewhat? Even a Telecaster bridge pickup sounds mellow...

There are a lot of these little headphone amps on the market. I chose this one because it was the only one that had a built-in, rechargeable battery and because it was no nonsense. All the variations from Vox make choosing one a real crap shoot. I just wanted a basic amp sound with overdrive and that's what I got. So far, I'm very pleased with it. The sound quality is bright and can be turned up very loud. The circuit does a good job of mimicking a Marshall-style amp. I've tried it with Fender single coils, P90s, and humbuckers. They all sound good. Great for practicing in my apartment without disturbing the neighbors.

Want Nady AxeHead Miniature Headphone Guitar Amplifier Discount?

Aside from an issue withe jack (which rectified itself after a few uses), the Nady AxeHead was way better than the Vox. . . It makes a perfect practice amp and the earphones work perfect with the splitter. Really, I couldnt be happier at that price.

Buy Fom Amazon Now

I bought this two weeks ago from a local music store. At first it sounded cool, plenty of gain, although it was a little muddy on the low end, especially with over the ear headphones. Sounded much better with in-ear headphones IMHO. I tried to use the included headphone splitter last night, and it was kinda difficult to get the headphones to plug into it, and by the time they did, the input jack of the amp was broken. It only comes through one ear now unless you're pushing on the mini-jack, with the headphones plugged directly into it. With the splitter, there is a "sweet spot" that works if it is in exactly the right position, until it moves slightly. I have tried three different pair of headphones to rule that out as a factor. Maybe it could be duct-taped into working right, but I'm hoping for my money back. Breaks within two weeks of purchase.

This amp is just plain awesome! Perfect for classic rock or blues. Now is you want something for metal your most likely gonna have to use a stomp box or look somewhere else but classic rock like Hendrix, zeppelin, Black Sabbath, so on its great. Not too loud but for only 10 watts its good. Now its listed with digital effects but it does not come with them but trust me it sounds great. Well worth the 60 bucks or so.

For some reason they keep on listing this amp as having "DIGITAL EFFECTS" there are no effects on it! It's very misleading. I contacted the seller, they sent me a return label and sent me another amp, Just like the first one, saying it has digital effects!!! Don't get me wrong, I've never even heard the little amp, it may sound great but, one thing I know is it has no effects! I just happened to be hospitalized right after buying the amp. I have not been able to return the first one yet so now I have two amps with no effects, brand new in there boxes waiting to be sent back.

Not a bad kit, be aware that it might not include the dummies book and cd, but if you complain you could get a partial refund!!,

Anyway, its a lot of fun and sounds good through head phones. still havent figured out a good set up for amplification, but a guitar amp sounds a bit dodgy with this one.

Also the hi hat pedal is not very responsive, and bass drum not very loud, but I dont know if thats common with electronic drums, works fine after a bit of getting used to it.

All in all, not a top of the line, but neither is the price, a nice toy.. do it

This is a really good bargain in a guitar amplifier. It doesn't have a foot switch for the reverb/delay or distortion, but they are easily accessible with push buttons. The amp section sounds much louder than 30 watts. Also the ten inch speakers deliver great tone. I think you could use this amp for practice or gigs. Great clean, punchy sound and good distortion too. Best amp for the price that I have seen.

Ive listened to these for a week already and tested these with various genres of music, including Rap, 80's Rock, Rock, Trance, House, Electro, Hardstyle, and Jazz. For reference purposes Ive hooked them up into my laptop with and without a 10 dollar portable amp purchased from Amazon. I also tried these on my Palm Pre Phone.

Basically on all these sources these headphones reached very good volume levels with and without a portable headphone amp. Of course these sound better with a headphone amp because youll reach much louder volume levels, but with these headphones an amp is simply an option and not a necessity(thank goodness).

Ive tried the bass capablities of these headphones with songs such as Snoop DoggGangsta Luv, David BannerLike a Pimp, JusticePhantom, MobyThousand, and Les Petits PilousWake Up. The Bass is truly amazing because it sounds clear, deep, and handles any bass thrown at it very well. The bass also never distorted on me even with the Amp connected and at full volume. The bass capabilities of these remind me of the Eh-150's performance except these are slightly stronger. Of course these do not thump like a subwoofer is inside but instead thumps good enough that its mighty impressive and is a good balance between the lows and highs.

The highs/Vocals of these are awesome as well. With these you may even hear things that you may have never heard in your songs.

These headphones sound quality are rich, deep, and satisfying. They are light and easily adjustable. The cord is a standard flat and long headphone cable with the connector being made up of regular sliver like metal so don't expect gold.

These headphones fit snugly much like the EH-150's and the HD 202's. You'll also need to give your ears a break for a minute usually every hour. But these do not fit so tight that it becomes unbearable though. But the advantage of this snug fit is that it effectively isolates outdoor sounds, which is very convenient if you are just trying to listen to your music and not be distracted by others loud conversations. Also unless you are BLASTING these they pretty much do not leak much sound, so you wont annoy the people around you either.

Simply put these continued to sound very good whether it was Miles Davis, Benny Goodman, Justice, Snoop Dogg, The Cure, Lady Gaga, and everything else in between.

Finally if you were looking between the Sennheiser HD202's, Sennheiser Eh-150s, or these Sennheiser HD203's. I would recommend these ones. Simply because the overall these sound clearer than the Sennheiser HD202's and these have a slightly better amount of bass than the EH-150's(hey every little counts). In my opinion this is a perfect mixture of two top rated headphones which results in one heck of a great new headphone product. I would definitely recommend these to friends and family, believe me Ive purchased both the 202's and 150's and I wouldn't think of going back to either of them.

These headphones cost me about $35 to $40 and I was honestly excited but quickly disappointed. The sound has lots of bass, strong loud mids too but lack in the highs; the highs are not as crisp or clear as the HD 202's. You will still hear details in your music that you might have not noticed before, especially if you've never owned a good pair of headphones. However, as I mentioned, they sound a bit muffled when compared to the HD 202's and therefore sound a bit unbalanced to me. These would have been an excellent set of phones if the highs had more definition, crispness or clarity.

The one thing that the HD 203's do have better than the HD 202's is the imaging (i.e. the 3D spatial sound). Instruments in the mids have a more 3D sound than that of the HD 202's. I still prefer the HD 202's especially for the price which is about $20 cheaper than the 203's!! I bought both of these models at the same time to compare. I gave the 202's as a gift to my brother (he thinks they are the most amazing headphones ever!) and the 203's I sold.

I honestly don't know why the HD 203's are labeled as studio monitor headphones as those type are usually very balanced, clear and don't alter the music. These sound like they are trying hard to accentuate the imaging but lack clarity! I own and love a pair of the famous HD 497's (which unfortunately are no longer available) which are better monitor headphones than these HD 203's!!

The HD 203's did not feel as tight around my head as the HD 202's, which I thought was interesting since its the same design but just a different color. If the tightness of the headband bothers you, they will loosen up as you break them in or you can loosen them by stretching them around a stack of books. Just carefully remove the ear pads (they snap off) before you place them around the books so the pads won't lose their cushioned feel while being smashed by the books! And you don't want to break the headband so use some common sense! Don't use too many books that the headband breaks!

Hope this review was helpful. I would definitely recommend the HD 202's over the HD 203's!

First off, I just want to say what the design flaw is. There isn't enough space between the ear and the front of the speakers. What happens is that the ear makes contact with the front of the speaker, and after a few hours this can become a bit painful...however, it's a small price to pay for the sound.

Also, I got these at best buy...here are my impressions:

I was very reluctant to get them at first. Initially I was looking to see if I could quickly pick up a pair of the acclaimed SennheiserPX models. They didn't carry those. I mostly was reluctant to get the 203s simply because they are identical in appearance to the EH150s, which I already own (which aren't bad either). However, on impulse, I bought them, assuming they had to have at least a different driver type, just utilizing the same design.

Well, I've put in several hours of listening on them now, and I think I was right. I am pleased to say that while they share sound signature similarities with the EH150s, they are not the same pair of drivers. They sound too different to me to be the same.

The comfort is a bit better than the 150s, only because the ear pads on the 203s are a bit thicker and more rounded. But it's just enough extra distance between the outer ear and the speakers to make an appreciable difference. Otherwise, they are exactly the same. That said, while I can wear them a bit longer than the EH150s without feeling bothered, I still think this should be addressed.

The build quality, while all plastic, is sturdy and rugged. They can stand up to abuse pretty well. I'm not particularly careful with my stuff, and the 150s have stood by me for a couple of years through running and long trips.

Now for the sound. They have the characteristically dark Sennheiser sound. Where they differ from the 150s, (and the HD 205s as well) is that they don't have nearly as thick a veil over the sound. On those models, it has always seemed to me that the sound was hiding behind a thick coloring. I have never liked that. It's not too bad on the EH 150s, but it's noticeable. I barely notice any sort of sound coloration with the HD 203s. These headphones are actually very balanced from what I can tell. The Bass is very present, but it doesn't seem to take over other ranges. I can hear the details fine. The mids are actually quite extended and forward. This is especially noticeable with Metal or hard rock; the rhythm guitars in GnR (Guns n Roses) stand out incredibly well where with a lot of other headphones, they take a back seat to the lead guitar, bass, and vocals.

As I said, the sound is dark. However, it's also incredibly rich sounding. Not overly thick or colored, but everything just has a really nice, rich and colorful tone without sacrificing clarity or accuracy. The sound is crystal clear. The highs...well, they are there. They sound very neutral. But still clear. The place where the richness of sound stands out the most is in Jazz, with regards to the bass and drums. I was listening to an album called "a duke ellington songbook", an album where the duke's classics get modern facelifts. The sound was astonishing. I could hear just about every movement of the acoustic guitarists hands over the frets, every minute detail on the bass (timbre and the sounds of string muting), and the drums had a lot of depth without being grating to the ears (they could get quite loud!). On some of the recordings I could even hear notes of on the piano that were some sort of recording artifact where the notes that were about to sound were playing very, very quietly right before they sounded. I had never noticed that before.

They work well for any type of music. I listened to Beethoven's 6th symphony, and one thing that stood out is that I could almost get an impression of the individual playing of each bassist or each violinist. In lesser headphones I've owned, it would sound like one large mass of sound, as it should since it's a section. But I was able to pick out anomalies in the playing where I could hear one instrument stand out. The bass sound had a nice "thud" effect, and the violins had a very smooth, yet sharp quality.

One last tidbit: They are incredibly easy to drive. They can get very, very loud, and I have to listen at half volume most of the time.

I'm very happy with these, and I haven't had any time to burn them in. They set me back only $50. I would recommend them wholeheartedly! Bravo to Sennheiser for making an awesome product.

I haven't been more impressed with a cheap pair headphones as much as I have these. These Sennheiser HD 203's have been my main headphones (I am on a budget, so I can't afford higher end headphones yet). Of course, these headphones can't compete with higher end products from their own company, as well as other brands such as Grado, AKG, Shure, etc. But I've had these for a year and use them CONSTANTLY, and I haven't been able to put them down or switch to any other headphones in the price range, after listening to tons of other headphones in the price range. Indeed, people say that headphones and the user sometime can become so ingrained it's hard to get used to anything else, and it sure has worked for me.

The sound of this is simply why I can't put them down. They have a very rich, and FULL, sound I always like, especially for music. I'm not really sure if they have higher treble or something, but frankly, I'm not a fan of speakers or headphones that constantly are built to give you extremely heavy bass, high treble, or something along those lines. I like a flat, straight, and rich sound from speakers and headphones, and I got this sound from here. It depends on what you listen to, yes, but the flat and balanced sound is always there throughout whatever genre I listen to. Listen to them first because you have to trust your ears before anybody else, but I'm just the messenger and I say these headphones and I haven't been able to part.

In fact, I was impressed that these headphones give a dynamic type of range for what you listen to. For rap, the rhythms and bass were full and I had no trouble dancing to them with ease. It also never washed out the vocals or the music in the background. Rock was great as well, effortlessly mixing the guitars, drums, and vocals into one cohernt whole. Listening to some Cowboy Bebop was great, and every instrument was all together, orchestrated into one into a dense, extremely rich sound. It sounds great for any type of music, really, and I haven't experienced sub par sound for any type of music I listen to.

I tried listening to them for movies, and the difference was great from the typical bass boosted, washed out noise canceling Sony headphones I was previously used to. I previously had some Sony headphones (I haven't really been impressed with many Sony headphones after listening to more highly regarded companies), and hearing everything in washed out bass was a shock when I first listened to these. Were those gunshots actually made up of higher range sounds? Do the sound of guns actually have a metallic tinge to their use, instead of an exaggerated and low sound? Indeed, I was very impressed with this. Leave it to a company like this to finally show how positively cumbersome the mass produced headphones of companies like Phillips, Memorex, and (at times) Sony can be.

The design is not as durable as you might expect, but really, I think that if they break, it's the user who needs to remember to handle a pair of headphones like these with care. It's easy to adjust, and they are quite comfortable to wear, depending on the size of your ears. Sometimes though, they hurt your ears if you don't put them on right, but they can fit your ears and break in fine. When I first bought these, my ears didn't agree with them, but now they do very well. It's really about the sound the most, but for what it's worth, you can wear them for a long time.

The closed also block out noise fine.

One thing I would like you know is that the cord is LONG. Be aware to use that handy plastic twist if you ever think about using this while running or anything where you will be mobile with these headphones.

Sennheiser is just a great company, and for the price, I can't recommend these headphones enough. These headphones really have convinced me that Sennheiser is a respected brand name for a great reason. Don't bother with junk like Skullcandy and stick with companies like this. I haven't been more happy with these headphones.

As others have said, they are a bit tight around the ears. What nobody mentions is how the headband feels: like it doesn't exist. It appears that there is a method to the bulky plastic design madness. I think, given time, the cushions will soften and overall comfort will be excellent.

How do they sound? Perfect. The balance and detail afforded by these headphones is incredible and I've yet to run them through an amp. Most importantly, the sound is accurate. A bass kick sounds like a bass kick, not an anemic tap or over-exaggerated boom. Toms and acoustic guitars resonate beautifully and with proper authority. Highs are crisp and clear, as are vocals.
