I used this to hook up my computer speakers to my 40-in Sony Bravia TV, which only had RCA output audio jacks for an external audio source.

Solution: Buy this handy-dandy converter, and I was able to instantly use my computer speakers. Of course, I wouldn't recommend using CHEAP computer speakers, as in, computer speakers that use the power from the computer to power them. That would probably break your TV. Mine were a bit nicer, and had a small subwoofer and had to have it's own power source (ie. a Power cable)

The only problem is that this TV is unlike my old one, which had the capability to have computer speakers hook directly into one of the 'audio outputs' on the back of the TV, so I could control the volume using the TV remote. On this TV (and many others, I assume), by using this converter, my TV thinks that the audio is a separate device with it's own remote.

Downside: I have to get up every time I want to turn up/down the TV. Eh, it's not that bad, considering I play movies/tv shows using my Phillips DivX dvd player. And for those that don't know what DivX is you had better get a word-a-day calendar or something because it is well worth the money.

---------------------------

UPDATE 6/4/2010 Product has been going strong for the past couple years. I have started to notice a low 'humming' coming from my speakers, but then again my Logitech speakers are now over 5 years old, so what can you expect?? I hooked them up to my digital piano and the humming was still present, so I know that it is my speakers and not the converter. I stand by my review I made over a year ago: get this if you want a simple way to connect your computer speakers to your TV!

---------------------------

UPDATE 6/17/2011 Product still going strong. I still use the same speakers, and I believe it is my TV itself that is producing the low-pitched 'humming' when the TV is on but the cable box isn't. It is not the fault of this product, at all. I also bought a female-to-female extension cord so I can play movies straight from my laptop to the TV (and connect the computer speakers to it while still keeping it behind the TV).

---------------------------

LAST AND FINAL UPDATE 9/17/2012 Wow, first, thank you for all the Helpful Votes! When I first bought this, I had no idea if it would even work, and there was only one-or-two other reviews. Now with over 300 reviews, I think I should e-mail someone and get a discount next time for all of these potential customers I brought in!

The product has survived two moves (cross-state, too), being stomped on, and I caught my cat playing with it too one time, during the move. In either case, I should amend my review to say that it DOES give me super powers: it allows me to use computer speakers to connect to an RCA male output. I still have the same setup, my 40" Sony Bravia TV with my older-than-dirt Logitech speakers. Whenever friends come to visit, they ask why my sound is so much better than theirs (because they are using just the TV speakers in the flat-panel TV, which have no speaker cone...). I just point them towards this little product.

If mine ever breaks, I will come back and update again, but I think this review speaks for itself: I still have the exact same one I bought four years ago! And finally, please, don't forget to mark this as "helpful" if you thought it was! Thanks everyone! :)

Want 2 x RCA Male, 1 x 3.5mm Stereo Female, Y-Cable 6-Inch Discount?

I wanted to play games quietly but my tv didn't have a headphone jack. So I bought these to get around that problem and they work very well. One problem though is that it exchanges my left earphone for my right, but I just switch the colors around (red in white and white in red).

Some helpful advice:

1. Your tv has to have red and white "audio out" ports (usually in the back)

2. Like me, you may need a headphone extension cord. My headphones are a little short so my face is 2 feet away from the tv screen.

3. Many of you may run into a little problem where sound is coming from both the headphones and the tv which kinda defeats the purpose of the headphones. My solution was to turn the tv sound all the way down while the headphones were still plugged in. For some reason the sound for the tv speakers go down but not the headphones.

Hope that helps.

Don't waste your money or your time buying these probable factory seconds, defective crap.

I bought three, and all three were defective.

Amazon got the seller to refund my money.

The shipping and handling charges amounted to many times the junk value of these cables.

I would be willing to bet the seller knew this too, and figured that most buyers would just throw them away, and move on.

I ended up going to Radio Shack.

Live and learn I guess.

I have Shure SE-210's. They're not the top of the line, but their not Apple ear buds either. These things though make them sound awesome. And even better, I can't hear anything else with them on. So if you have Shure's, with small ears, these are the things to shove in your ears.

Most sleeves are too small for my ears and have a tendency to fall out. These Shure tips fit well and stay in the ear. You hardly notice they're in your ear once they've settled.

They're a good upgrade for the standard tips on many headphones. I use them with Westone UM-1's with no trouble, and they work better than the default Comply tips.

Each set lasts quite a while, but they still give you a lot of them in the package. They'll last for years.

To get a good fit, roll them between your fingers, then insert them into your ear canal. They'll expand within about 20 seconds, forming a comfortable, snug fit.

I saved up for a time before finally purchasing Shure headphones in the $400 range and they were so worth it. There is no way I could go back to a cheaper headset. The earbuds do wear and have to replaced about 1-2 times a year. The medium size fits me perfectly and expands to block out all outside noise. You MUST be careful when wearing these due to the inability to hear things going on around you. Fantastic product and inexpensive as well.

Let me preface this review by giving you some background about my experience. I have been an Audio Engineer for 10+ years and a drummer for much longer. I have owned the Shure E3c in ears for over 5 years and they have never fit my ears with any of the sleeves that came with them because of my small ear holes. I was very disappointed at first when I could not use these in ears easily. After trying all of the sleeves for this model including the triple flange type with no luck I went ahead and had custom molds made for my ears. The molds that I got were great but it took way too much time to put them in and get wire properly situated behind my head. This left my favorite shure in ear monitors to sit on the shelf unless I was using them on stage during a show or in the booth at the studio. Anyway, I am always looking for alternative sleeves to try out and never had any luck until I found these, and now my search is FINALLY OVER! These foam sleeves are excellent and take no more then 30 seconds to have them in my ears comfortably listening to my ipod. Finally I can use my shure in ears wherever I go and never have them fall out. They also provide very good sound isolation from my surroundings, almost as much as the custom molds. I can finally put my white Apple ear buds away and listen to my music the way it is supposed to be heard. I plan on purchasing many more of these so I will never have to be without them. If you, like me, have had a hard time finding comfortable sleeves for your Shure in ear's look no further. These are the best on the market all around for; ease of use, quality, comfort and most of all, audio bliss. Buy these now, you will not regret it.

I compared the MEE NS63 headphones against my everyday Sennheiser HD-201's I've had for years. With the MEEE's over three times the current price of the HD-201s I hoped the difference in quality would be noticeable. Frankly I was blown away, first by the sheer difference in volume with identical settings on my fairly ordinary AIWA shelf sound system. But the spaciousness, separation, and bass clarity were simply in other league from the Sennheiser's.

I used a range of reference recordings that included large ensembles such as orchestra, chamber groups, and jazz trios, rock bands, to solo instruments like cello, classical and steel string guitars, mandolin, piano and solo violin. They represent a variety of production points of view (i.e. ambient, dry, closed and distant miking acoustic, electric instruments and electronic sound.

The difference across the board was one of richness and presence. I was especially surprised at the bottom end because the MEEE write up indicated the phones were especially designed for balance rather than the bass-heavy specs other consumer brands often go for. There's clearly no shortage of bottom end here.

The NS63 includes a noise suppression function that requires two AAA batteries. You can engage the NS function with or without the audio playing. To be honest it's not a primary use for me but to check it out I took both pairs of phones on a recent trip by commuter train into and out of Grand Central in Manhattan and put them to work against the typical din of cell phones, noisy kids, and the ubiquitous excessively loud conversationalist two rows back.

I have to say the masking effect was not spectacular: I noticed it mostly in the high frequency range and, when compared to wearing the passive HD-201, yes, I could tell the difference but not overwhelmingly so.

Trying later at home upstairs behind a closed door while my wife played an acoustic piano downstairs I confirmed the effect is most noticeable in the higher frequencies. The NS63s are the only noise-cancelling phones I've ever tried; I can't really say how they compare to BOSE or other brands known for NS.

Regarding the mechanics of the phones:

I wish the battery compartment were hinged or otherwise tethered to the phones. It repeatedly slipped out of my hand onto the floor at home while opening it and I can easily imagine it doing the same on a train and bouncing away under a seat or worse. Opening and closing the lid really could be smoother, especially for someone using the NS feature on a regular basis as battery life is rated at 32 hours.

The detachable mini-plug cable is a nice idea, although the supplied cable is only about three feet long compared to at least twice that on the Sennheisers. Another practical feature the NS63 has is a large audio mute button built-into the outer left phone that's very easy to grab and press suddenly very practical.

The ear pads are slightly smaller and rounder on the MEE's than on the HD-201. I have big ears and appreciate the extra size; the MEE's fit my ears more snugly, which perhaps suits the noise suppression function better. However there's no lateral side-to-side play in the MEE phones at all, as there is in the HD-201's, and this makes them slightly less comfortable for longer listening periods.

Speaking of size, there's every bit as much adjustment `pull' in the MEE phones as the HD-201's and my big head had plenty of clearance on top.

The pillbox-style carrying case is a great idea that should fit easily in an average shoulder bag and certainly a suitcase. The MEE's phone cups are hinged and work comfortably regardless of how far they've been pulled out to adjust for head size. The hinges themselves are made from brushed metal with plastic reinforcement. Although they feel fairly solid I'd get in the habit of using two fingers thumb outside, index inside to gently open and close them, especially if you plan to store the phones frequently.

I've used my HD-201s for home recording and always regarded them as a nicely balanced, if not spectacular, pair of phones. Hearing the NS63's reminded me of the sheer joy of listening I had as a kid with my massive `water-filled' KOSS headphones. If you're looking for a similar kind of rush, I'd recommend them.

Since I wear earrings, I like how these headphones fit over your ears and doesn't make it uncomfortable on your ears. I owned another pair of headphones of a different brand which would press on my earrings into my skin behind my ears which made it very uncomfortable. In addition, the MEElectronics headphones have a better value as they also have great sound quality and come with multiple cords and a sturdier carrying case compared to the other brand headphones I used to own. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for high quality headphones without breaking your wallet.

I primarily use my MEElectronics NoiseSHIELD headphones when recording MIDI loops for worship at my church. Deep, rich bass and crisp, accurate highs create an amazing listening experience. The headphone design naturally isolates the listener from most unwanted background noise. When ANC is engaged background noise is attenuated to an even greater degree. Whether I'm working with MIDI software, or listening to music, my MEElectronics NoiseSHIELD headphones do a fantastic job for a fraction of the cost of similar products. With superior comfort, sound quality, and noise-canceling ability, these headphones rock!

Want MEElectronics NoiseSHIELD Active Noise Canceling Headphones with Headset Functionality, Black Discount?

I have only owned one other noise canceling headphones (search my reviews) and these headphones by MEElectronics are by far superior. The sound quality was on par with a $600 pair of headphones I own and use for recording voice overs. I love the sleek, fold-able design and compact carrying case. I just toss these in my Coach tote bag and am good to go. I used these on my NYC subway commute and was more than pleased with the performance over the louder than life subway and occasional subway-preacher. The only negative comment I have is with regards to the weight. I am user to lighter headphones and these felt a bit heavy on my head after a few hours of wear.

This case is awesome for what it is intended for. Pretty heavy without anything in it but definately protects your valuables while stored inside. The Slide tray tends to get real hard to move once a mixer is secure and in place. Other than that, I was very happy with the protection level of my equipment. I dj'd an event at Nascar in Las Vegas and my equipment in the case was never bothered. Nice professional design.

I didnt buy this one from Amazon, but I did buy it from a Japanese Music store when I was stationed there in the Navy. The shipping would have been horrible, so I didnt have a choice. I must say that I never had any problems with it and its still going fine after about 5 years. The wheels still spin and my gear stays put (I used the extra padding that came with the unit). I have two Pioneer CDJ 800MK2, and a Denon x600 mixer. No issues with this product.

Read Best Reviews of Odyssey FZGS12CDJW CD DJ Coffin Case with Wheels Here

After 6 months, the wheels no longer spin -they scratch floors now so I must transport this using a handtruck. Unacceptable. Additionally, the inside padding is poorly designed, as my Pioneer DJM-800 and CDJ-1000 gear bounce around. EVERY TIME I open the coffin at a gig, wires or accessories that I had stored neatly in the case are now underneath the gear, with the gear propped up, etc. I have since remedied this problem by gluing additional foam inside the lid and problem solved. Odyssey should have foreseen this. Will not buy Odyssey again. I've had 2 Road Ready cases and they've survived like an old reliable pickup truck. At the time of purchase, Road Ready did not make this case that I needed so I went with Odyssey. When I first bought the Odyssey, you could just "feel" and sense that this was poorly made in comparison to Road Ready. This is a terrible product. I will not buy Odyssey gear again.

For the price this little amp works very well and my son's guitar teacher even liked it. It has good sound and can be very loud. I would reccomend this and the guitar teacher would reccommend it also. This is probably a small step above a beginners amp but it is not one to use professionally.

5 star packaging... This thing was triple boxed, with styrofoam, and packing peanuts. They did a great job! However for musicians looking for a steal do not be misled by the "250 watt" name. This is not what you think! 200 watts of power could successfully play a small show if you were playing a Marshall or Randall amplifiers. This tiny little guy is the like the Austin Bazaar 10 watt amp, only the Austin B is rated 5 stars on Amazon likely because they label 10watts as 10watts rather than making it out to be something its not. This amp is good for kids (under 10) learning to play it has a nice clean sound, has a steel screen to protect the speaker, the rear of the amp is completly covered to protect curious fingers (some are not), and no real threat of ear damage with this tiny amp its not loud. There are no extra features on this amp there are volume bass and treble controls and a head phone jack.

First, this is not your typical cello. It's a 300 electric cello. Please keep this in mind.

It works, it sounds alright, and it's definitely great for practice. Style 5 is quite nice looking. But the style doesn't actually affect the sounds, so choose whichever you like.

To get this playing, you plug in a headphone into one jack. There's another for aux output, great for tuning if you have an electric tuner with an input.

There's two control knobs, one for volume and one for tone/timbre. They function and the tone is a nice add to get the sound you like.

Here's a few details to keep in mind:

1) It is not silent. It just doesn't project. My boyfriend says that he can hardly hear in the next room over with the door closed; but it is definitely not silent (i.e., you can actually practice without the headphones)

2) The stuff that comes with: bow, rosin, headphone... wish they would they would just keep them and knock of another $10...that's pretty much what they are worth. The bow was not useable since it came warped. The headphone was not comfortable (I just use a earphone set), and the rosin was not useful. The only thing I kept was padded bag. Not going to spend another $200 for a hard case.

3) The strings, tailpiece, fine tuners, fitting, everything, are pretty cheap, as expected. It's really up to you whether you want the spend some money to upgrade these. but if you want something decent, keep those cost in mind.

Summary: A great base product that does what it should. If you want something decent, you might need to add some cost to get a bow, rosin, a nice headphone set, some new strings (at a minimum), and maybe some other fitting/accessories.

I play the guitar.

That being said, I've always loved bowed strings, and really wanted to try it.

Well, this was my chance.

Do I regret it? Not yet.

Honestly, I am able to get some very decent sounds out of this instrument, especially running it through my PC recording software to tweak the sound.

The A string snapped on the second tune up. So that's pretty sweet. I guess people aren't kidding when they say you'll need new string for this at least. You will, because these cheap steel ones will break. These strings feel like something off a construction site when I compare them to playing my guitar strings. But maybe that's how cello strings are? I guess I'll find out after I plunk down $100 for a set of strings! That would make any guitarists stomach turn.

Anyways, you get what you pay for. I'm glad they're making this product available because it has allowed me to try something I never would have otherwise. Hopefully I'm able to get it setup well enough that I actually enjoy making music with it and can add it to my musical recording arsenal.

Great for beginners. Is not totally silent when played without an amp but is not loud enough to annoy the entire house. I recommend getting a new set of strings after becoming familiar with the instrument, the A string has a poor tonal quality. A tip for other beginners: Use small pieces of tape along the side of the neck to mark off notes with the help of a tuner. Also dont give up, its not an easy instrument to play but don't get frustrated and give up. Like any instrument, patience and practice are key. Beautiful and well worth the money.

Perhaps this review will score a bit higher due to the fact that when I bought this Cello I saw it as a base to build upon (new pick ups, gear tuners, etc.) This Cello is great as a starter and when the installations I make on it are done I'll have an instrument as good as a Yamaha for much, much less.

However. As it stands this instrument is a far cry from the Yamahas.

Pros: The pick up that comes on it is located directly under the bridge of the instrument which makes sense since the bridge transmits most of the sound to the body. It's a decent pick up (in regards to sound, but I cant speak for it's durability) It will connect to most guitar amps and sounds rather well.

The wood body catches vibration from the string very well (very important in regards to additional pickups) and provides very good sustain for plucking on low to medium pitch notes. The sound the instrument emits is a bit metallic but it warmed up when I changed the strings to nylon. It's also very light weight, I can lift it easily with one arm.

Cons: The only things that are bad are the things that it comes with. The strings are cheap, and they are cheaply made. The actual steel core on them is thin and they just thickened it by winding copper around it before the plating. All four can snap with ease. The bow is slightly warped but is playable, I'm switching to a carbon fiber one regardless. The rosin is not very good. The headphones are just headphones and the uncomfortable kind (I didn't buy it for the headphones) The bag is actually useful.

I've gotta say I am thoroughly impressed with these headphones, I was worried about the other reviews concerning breakages, but I gave them a chance by going off Redizoink's review and Pangea have earned themselves a new customer! :D

The audio quality is beautiful, I just got them today and I'm flicking through my phone's song collection testing them out. I adore these, I can happily listen to Osbourne's best to Jablonsky/Zimmer's finest.

Shipping took 6 days after purchase, which considering I'm located the over side of the pond is great :)

While they are at around $12, Im considering picking up some spare sets for myself and gifts for others :3

At first, the headphones were great. Great sound, and comfortable. I like how the headphones can fold up as well. I loved every thing about it.

But after a few days, one side broke. The opposite side where I connect the plug into. I could only here music and other noise, but the main sound wouldn't work. If I listened to a song, the only thing i could hear was the music background. One star.

My daughter has had these less than 24 hours and one side is not working. They sounded great before they stopped working.
