This cable makes it really easy to connect a mic to your computer. I have used Garageband to record with a dynamic mic, and it sounds great!

It's a standard XLR female to 1/8" stereo male cable. Worked like a charm for a video shoot I was doing with a Canon 5D and a 7D. We just used a Senheisser shotgun and went straight into the 7D with the adapter. Audio quality was very good and didn't require much adjusting in post but that also depends on your mic. The 6' length is ideal for sit down interviews. Might want a longer cable, or just extend it with a regular XLR cable if you're doing something like a Red Carpet interview, which is what we were filming. Will buy these again.

This is a very high quality cable. The metal part of the XLR is heavy. This is great. Seems that it will last a long time. The cable is very thick.

I usually record straight from the mic into the computer, and so needed a mini phono at that end. This cable just plugged right in, and did not interfere with any of the other wires I have running around.

The mic doesnt work with android. And even if it did, its def not worth the extra price.

They really are durable. I bent and twisted it, it was scary, but didnt break. The ear pads can sometimes come out.

Studio is nice because it has the padding on top. Wire is too long for subway use but great for home.

The sound, I was expecting more. Want to love it but i feel something is lacking.

I've had Shure's , Bose, and Sennheiser. Some genres of music, the TMAs def kick @$$.

Techno, opera, are great. Hip hop not so much.

Also, have not used them with a receiver yet. Have ordered an above avg receiver so might have to amend rating later.

This a great idea executed well. Saves space taken up by unnecessarily long (and unsightly) cables, and works just fine.

I really like how this product retracts once I unplug it. It makes it easy to store when I am not it. The shipping was quick and the item was packaged well! It works great and I love it!

Better than the cheap ones you get at convenient stores. The 90 degree bend keeps the tension off of the connector and the cheaper ones break within a week or two while trying to use them for exactly what they were meant to do. Worth the $$.

I have several cables that I keep in my car for various devices. A mini USB for my GPS, a mico USB for my phone, and an auxiliary cable for playing music. I bought this item to cut down on some of the clutter in my console. I've had it for a couple of months and, so far, it works very well. The area where I sit my phone in the car is a bit small so the angled jacks on both ends was especially convenient. This is a great product. It would be great if it was a little cheaper, but I definitely don't regret my purchase.

I only used this twice before it broke. For as much more money as this costs, you'd think it would be of better quality. The one I had that was only ten cents worked for almost a year.

To start off, I own a few sets of cheap IEMs, and Koss's UR-20 headphones. These phones are my first leap into the audiophile grade headphones, and I don't regret it one bit. These things sound incredible.

Build quality: These things are without a doubt the sturdiest headphones I've ever had. Lots of metal pieces, and the stuff that isn't made of metal is made from a very hard plastic. The cable is coiled and pretty thick. Overall, very solid construction, and they look really good too. I don't expect to have any problems with these headphones at least in the build quality department. They also fold up to make transporting easier, though they are still kind of bulky after folding them.

Comfort: This is the biggest problem I have had with these cans. The DN-HP700's are on-ear cans, NOT over-ear's. If you have big ears, there is a chance that they will be uncomfortable on your head after wearing them for a long time. I have pretty big ears, and I can wear them for a few hours at a time, but I don't like to because it starts to hurt by the end. The main reason I take them off is because I'm used to the comfort of my UR-20's, where they are just so big that I can slap them on over my ears and not even feel them. In my opinion, this is the only downfall.

Sound quality: Being pretty pricy headphones, I was expecting a little better quality than what they originally gave me. Don't be fooled though, I only say that because I hyped myself up for these to blow my mind, and they came pretty dang close. After giving them close to 48 hours of burn in time, (yes, the burn in does in fact help) I'm loving these things. Bass is strong but not overpowering. It hits cleanly and fits well with the sounds of the rest of the music. Trebles and mids are clear and sharp. Like I said earlier, everything is mixed quite well, and if you don't like the way it sounds from the start, a quick EQ adjustment can change that easily. My favorite part of these headphones so far is the stage presence they have. When a song is meant to have feeling, it shows. You can feel the passion of the musicians as the music picks up or slows down. Slow songs are chill, and fast songs keep it pumping. The headphones do a great job portraying songs the way the artist intended them to be listened to, and I love that.

I have not tried these while watching movies or playing video games, so I cannot make any comments on that. That's what I've turned my UR-20's into since they are more comfortable to wear for longer periods, and the DN-HP700s are much better for music anyway.

Noise cancellation: These are not labeled as noise cancelling headphones, so don't expect them to be perfect. However, hearing ambient noise while music is playing isn't an easy task. I'm not exactly sure what the pads are made of but the seal they create is pretty solid, and you won't hear much else unless you are really trying.

Question time!

Worth the money? Would I recommend them? Heck yeah, you can find these for a hundred bucks at certain places online. These are great, and for the price, you can't beat `em.

Would I buy them again? Maybe it's just the way I am, but probably not. Don't let that scare you, I just like to try out different things. There's a good chance though, after trying these out, I wouldn't be happy with any other cans in this price range. In the case of that actually happening, I wouldn't think twice about getting them again.

Conclusion: Denon's DN-HP700 DJ Headphones are a heck of a buy. The superb sound quality and beautiful sound stage and presence make these hard to pass up at the price they are sold for. I've never had a set of cans that could successfully put a smile on my face because of how cool a song sounded. After getting these, it has become a pretty common occurrence. Get some high quality music, then get a set of these headphones.

These headphones sound great. I can hear every single sound very clear. I'm going to listen my music collection again since I can hear much more than before.

I did not have such a good phones before. I can compare them to cheaper Koss headphones.

1. Koss KSC75 Portable Headphones. Good treble but lack of bass. Fine mids.

2. Koss UR-30 and (I think the same as UR-20 but portable). Most convenient. I can listen them a whole day. Sit fast on the head without discomfort. Sound is good but modest.

These phones sound completely different. Firm bass clear treble accurate mids. A lot of details in the whole range. Good instruments separation. I've tried to listen different kind of music and instruments and I am very pleasured. Although I like an electronic music I really impressed how real instruments sounds from these phones: akkardion, piano, drum brushes, tube. Akkardion is most impressive since it produces the wide spectrum sound.

I found the only one track where I note the lack of a particular bass voice: The Prodigy Poison. I was afraid about bass in Michael Jackson Who is it and The Art Of Noise Dreaming in Colour. But they play without a problem.

These headphones open up a new sound of Pink Floyd.

Looks much better than on the photo. Not for a small head. And not really convenient. I feel some pressure on my head. Build quality is good.

Update (2 months later):

I do not feel a pressure on my head anymore.

I use them with Icon uDAC2-HP and my laptop. If you do not have a decent sound card do not buy these phones. They will reproduce all imperfection and you will be disappointed. All portable devices that we have (phones, players, laptops) are not perfect.

The sound quality of the cans is incredible. Never listened to anything better. I would say these are easily worth $150-$200, and I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a new pair.

I bought this turntable to a) replace an older turntable from the 70s and which weighs more than me, for which new needles cost 30-40 bucks, and b) to transfer old 78s into digital files for a podcast. It's one of the few turntables that I found with both a built-in speaker AND audio out ports, in both RCA and headphone cable form. Usually, I found ones with either one or the other. It's lightweight, it has excellent sound quality, much more tone and pitch control than you'd ever expect in a 100 dollar turntable, and the new needles cost only 12 bucks. I could not find where to buy the needles online, so after contacting Numark, I discovered that they would sell them to me directly for only 12 bucks each (even if it involved giving out my CC# via eMail). Being a very new turntable, I don't expect it to be phased out anytime soon, so the needles should remain cheap for a while.

Perhaps the only thing I would change is the fact that the table only starts spinning once you move the arm over it there is no 'start spinning' button beyond the on/off switch. Also, there have been a few times when I accidentally dropped the stylus onto the metal surface and it's left a visible gouge, and I can't help but think that this kind of thing should have been somehow protected against.

I'm not a hardcore audiophile. I don't know the difference between the sonic clarity of a CD and an mp3, and honestly, if it sounds full, that's good enough for me, but this was incredibly simple to set up and plays excellently, and pretty solid (if mostly plastic).

Buy Numark PT01 Portable DJ Turntable Now

I bought the Numark PT01 for the purpose of transfering vinyl albums and 78's to my PC for digital remastering and taking the scratches and noise out and then transfering them to CD's. For the most part, I can't complain. The turntable was easy to set up and use. At this point, I must give information about replacement styluses. Regretfully, Amazon does not sell these, so you'll have to get them from other sources. Don't worry, I'll help you find them. Just Google the numbers you see below and you'll quickly find sites which can sell you these styluses at very reasonable prices.

793D7

793S3

These are special Fansteel numbers which are used to designate the exact styluses needed.

The 793D7 is the stylus for 33/45 RPM vinyl disks and uses a diamond tip. The 793S3 is the stylus for wide groove 78 RPM disks and uses a sapphire tip.

Now, a word about using this turntable for remastering sound. After you've recorded the record audio to your hard drive, you'll need to adjust the equalizer of your third party recording client so that the 200HZ level is brought down by -12Db. This is because this turntable has an anoying peak at that frequency and especially in the right channel. Also, it's best to turn the volume all the way up on the lineout jakcs (that's right, the volume also effects the auxiliary output jacks which is not a good thing) because you'll want to minimize the amp noise going in to your sound card. Also, you will need to use a lower setting on the track bar for the line input on your card than you may be used to. This is because both headphone jacks and the lineout jacks are fed by the same amplifier and thus the volume; as indicated before, works them all. Barring those factors though, It's a nice little turntable which, provided you're not too demanding of your equipment, will serve well. OF course, it would have been nicer if the cartridge was user replaceable thus allowing the freedom to choose what ever combination of stylus and cartridge you wanted; and, the 200Hz peak in the right channel, which I suspect is the result of the tonearm receiving vibrations from the built in cartridge, would need to be eliminated for me to give it a 5; but, as I said, nice buy if you are not too demanding and are on a tight budget.

I have a massive record collection, and had continued buying records even after the Aiwa turntable I had stopped working. I saw this on Amazon and saw it was small, reasonably priced, and had a pitch control. Initially I played my 7" records on it, and it was just fine. Once I started playing my 12" records the trouble began. About halfway through any record I play the pitch begins to waver (subtly speeds up and slows down). I contacted Numark and told them about the problem. I got a response telling me I needed to buy a different needle to play 78 RPM records on the turntable. This was a confusing response as I hadn't even mentioned 78 RPM records in my e-mail (nor do I own any). So I write again and explain that my question wasn't answered. So then I'm told I should try to balance the arm properly. I write back again and say that I mentioned in BOTH my e-mails that the unit I was inquiring about was a PT-01, and this model has a pre-balanced (non-adjustable) arm. Numark wrote back "oh you're right, just return to dealer". Unfortunately it's too late for that, and Numark was NO help. Their customer service 'team' couldn't even be bothered to read e-mails and answer accordingly. Do not buy this unit, I wasted $100 and now I have to buy a new turntable. I assure you, it won't be a Numark!

I haven't listened to records since my old turntable broke down years ago. In the meantime, I have a acquired new amp, which does not include a phono option, and the idea of buying a preamp and all the other necessary accessories seemed like too much effort. Well, this compact little turntable does the trick with a minimum of fuss. It's not an audiophile product, but I must say that, hooked up to my main system, it provides good sound, tracks even scratchy, warped LPs well, and takes up very little shelf space. I even brought it into my kitchen one evening, hooked it up to a table radio, and some 1950s-era jazz records sounded pretty sweet. I'm going to be getting a few of these to give to my musically-included friends as gifts this holiday season! For those of you who have forgotten the joy of setting the needle into the groove and hearing that familiar 'swoosh' this will bring it all back.

i've long wanted to own a numark...if only it wasn't too pricey, until this particular model came along. the functions are pretty basic but the sound is excellent for its range. the thing i like most is that you can carry it practically anywhere you go and for those old enough to be alive when vinyl was king, it brings back memories of playing your 45's on your small phonograph. certainly worth the money. I would've given it 5 stars if it had an auto start and stop funtion though

While I think this little unit is expensive (mine was about $300 and didn't include the headphones -1 star for price) it does work great. The singer already owned the transmitter unit so I only had to buy the receiver. This is saving my ears. I bought some Sennheiser CX200 Twist-To-Fit Earbuds that sound great to use with this. They are the in ear type that you put in very securely and they block outside noise. (One hint bring the headphone wire up over your ear from back to front and then put them in your ear, your lobe provides stress releif for the ear piece and they never come out). I'm a drummer in a 7 piece band and they knock my drums way down so that they are in the back of the mix (they are just picked up by other room mics not mic'd in the rehearsal space). I can now hear everything that everyone in the band is playing and I don't care how loud they make their amps (within reason). This is one of the best things I've ever purchased for playing in a band. I don't go home with volume induced headaches anymore. When everyone in the band gets one, the floor monitors (and attendant feedback problems) will no longer be needed and playing live should go just as smoothly as rehearsal.

One small problem with the unit is the lack of any good indicator for low battery problems. One time I couldn't get sound, checked the channel, checked the power light all good. The singer suggested I replace the battery and as soon as I did, problem solved. Keep a supply of 9Vs on hand for practice and the show.

This review has nothing to do with this device. I was going to purchase this item from BuyJapan.com because the Korg electribe series putst out great machines!!. "Japan.com" had an image posted of

es-1 when it was actually the er-1. A huge price difference, the es-1 being more than double in price than posted. Also, when you click on the item picture to get a larger view of the es-1, it's blurry. As if they purposely made the larger image this way to prevent the customer to see the model number on the device. Mind you, from a distance, these different electribe devices look the same but the color. As if you can choose the color of the one you want. This is not true. Each color is a different electribe device. So consumer, BEWARE!!!! And if you come across the seller "BUYJAPAN.COM" avoid them. They are extremely misleading!!!!!
