First of all, I am perplexed at how a springsteel headband can be broken easily, as in one of these reviews, and how you can "blow out" a set of headphones after a short amount of usage. Both of those are what I would consider COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE usage of a set of headphones, and definitely not good for your long-term hearing capacity on the latter review.That being said, I have newly re-discovered these phones, and have found them to be more valuable than I ever thought possible. I had received a pair for free when I ordered a Korg digital studio. At first the sound seemed somewhat thin, but after many pairs of VERY EXPENSIVE headphones, I found out that the Korg unit was to blame, and the unit itself has since been discontinued by the company. After acquiring a new multitrack and using my many sets of headphones, I have found that the MDR-7502s produce the flattest, most real-world sound of all the phones that I have. The highs are perfect and not over-stated or overly thin, like in most audiophile phones. They give perfect flat mids and lows, without boosting their depth. In fact, with the combination of my new BOSS multitrack and the 7502 phones, I can mix completely inside the phones, transfer the mix to CD and it plays in a home stereo or car system with the most impressive sound that I've ever attained from a studio, whether in a home or professional environment.
I used to throw these phones around and just use them for iPod applications and such... now I treasure them and keep them in a case wherever I go. All my other phones are now paperweights on my desk. I will be ordering several more sets so I have backups for the coming years.
If you are recording at home or the office and need to have a set of phones that will allow you to mix completely inside your head, these are VERY inexpensive workhorses that will not let you down.
I'm writing this to help out further home studio techs that have searched endlessly, like I have, to find a set of phones that will allow you to mix at a decent volume without disturbing the neighbors and still produce a professional product.
I hope you find this review enlightening. My music has been completely renewed.

I originally bought a pair of MDR-7502's so long ago, I can't remember the year. I've used them religiously for just about every major and minor project on super stereo amplifiers to small CD players and Video cameras. Everything from casual use to professional audio editing. With a flat response and smooth reproduction of just about any sound that may be pumped into this lightweight beauty, you can listen just about all day without getting tired of hefting the usual set of dumbells on each ear. And, of course, the connector includes a large plug and built-in mini-plug. My set is over ten years old, and the current model costs the same as when I bought it new. The only real gripe I have about this unit is the pads. After eight years of use, the soft, leather like pads peeled their outer layer, made a mess, and finally gave up the ghost and disintegrated. I ended up replacing them with pads from another trashy set of headphones because I couldn't find a replacement set on the internet. My old phones still work, but to celebrate Sony's obvious wisdom in keeping this model on the market, I'll be ordering another set and a spare soon. I support a music conservatory which has a lab of about 8 workstations with these headsets, and while they sound great, the bands keep breaking! I've had to replace ~5 of them at least. I just got back from SamAsh and tried all sort of headphones. I wanted something under $50. I found the 7506's to sound the best, and this was second best. I had my heart set on the Sennheiser hd280's but they were pale and have less bandwidth compared to the 7506 and are heavier too. Some how I wanted to own a Sennheiser product! But it would be 'those' headphones.The 7502 sound almost as good as the 7506, but they are not nearly as comfortable. The pads are a plastic vinyl like and will wear out, and can be replaced. They do no cover the full ear as the 7506 does. Other $49 headphone from Samsom had a phasing hollow sound, you dont notice it at first until comparing a few. But once you hear the $100 and up quality phones you know why people spend the extra dollars. These were the only good sounding, but not 100% comfortable headphone in the $50 range.
High prices headphone also buy true leather, and wear very well.
Soundwise both the 7502 and 7506 sound very very good, it really come done to the comfort issue.
Right now, I'm using Sennheiser PX-100's, the older model. Not the new II's. I really like them, except they have too much bass. But compared to the Sony's, the Senn's sound oh so much more three dimensional. I kid you not: the Sony's sound like a '70's AM transistor radio compared to the PX-100's, and like I mentioned, I'm not even 100% happy with them.
I also have heard the Grado SR60i's, the SR80i's, and I now own the SR125i's for extended listening at work. Different price ranges in there, but *all* of the Grado's blow the Sony's away too.
The fit and comfort is great. And the cord is kind of beefy, I like that. So the build quality is actually pretty good for their price. I really wanted to like these because I had a pair similar to them years ago (unfortunately can't remember the model number, but the pads disintegrated so I tossed them), but these are just horrible sounding.
I really suggest to anyone out there that if you think you like the sound out of these, please compare them to another *quality* set from someone else.
My search for a neutral *cheap* pair of cans for home listening continues ...

The Behringer HPX2000 is a quality product and is a steal at the offered price. It is a well constructed, comfortable, and high performance sound reproduction instrument with excellent frequency range. I bought this product based on my knowledge of the Behringer microphone line but with some reservation of its earphone line given the low prices. However, after receiving the HPX2000 headset, I've used it on everything from portable CD players, my home entertainment center, my polyphonic synthesizer,and single side band radio transmission equipment and I've found the sound reproduction to be as good or better than prior Sony studio headphones that I've owned in the past. Given the durable construction, these headphones should last for years. And, I find the one-quarter inch plug and 2 meter cord length to definite pluses both in terms of the larger diameter, sturdier cable used and not finding myself running over and damaging the cable with the wheels of my chair. These are great. I am buying a second pair to keep at work. The sound is great, especially for the price. They also have a pretty long cord, which is great for me, as the standard 3m cords are too short in my opinion.I also use these for DJ use, although I only DJ at my house, so take that for what it's worth. I had a pair of $200 Sony DJ headphones, and they were slightly better than these. Except that they broke. Twice. They were replaced by warranty the first time, but not the second. For a little over a tenth of the price, I got headphones that I like about 90% as much. That's a good deal in my book.

I originally purchased this product based on the price and the higher rated reviews. Sometimes things just don't work out as planned. I received them very quickly, but when I was able to see them up close I immediately regretted my purchase. The materials appear to be of the lowest quality. The headband is uncomfortable after just a few minutes. The ear pads while appearing to be thick and comfortable, are hard and allow the phones to rest directly on the ear. The pads have no cushioning or noise canceling properties at all. The sound is flat. The highs are tinny and the lows have no punch. It's like listening to music underwater. To top everything off, the left channel stopped working shortly after plugging the headphones in. I am attempting to return them but the seller won't accept returns on opened merchandise. I own and have owned some great sounding phones(IMHO). (BeyerDynamic DT 880's(current favs), Sennheiser 201's-202's & HD 570's,Sony's(low budget) and some Yamaha's) I was impressed by the Behringers. Crisp and vibrant highs with very decent low end soundstage for open air phones. I broke them in for a day and I was pleased even more. I have red reviews on audiophile forums that won't even smell them and I just can't see it. I mean they are $20! You aren't going to get leather and magnesium frames for that price range..lol Comparatively Sennheiser 201's run at a similar price range and they are excellent for the price. I like the low end on the Behringer's a little more. Behringer doesn't have the history that Sennheiser does but the performance is there. You also get a few extra features like a single side cord, 1/8 inch plug with a 1/4 inch screw on adapter(L shaped plug). TheBehringer's are also a bit more comfortable than the 201's and 202's with DJ functionality and adjustable headband.A solid buy I think...I also purchased a pair of these for my wife who does music composition and vocal work. She thinks they are great.
Cons: The biggest disadvantage of this headphones is that the jack plug moves a lot and tends to disrupt your ipod if you even walk one step. So every few seconds your ipod pauses as the jack plug shifts even a little since the ipod thinks that the headphones got cut off. So, you can't actually use it outside. Another disadvantage is that when you do listen to the music, everyone around you also hears the music you're listening to since the sounds slip through.
All in all, it's not a bad piece of equipment for light use especially since the price is pretty cheap compared to other headphones that skyrocket to thousands of dollars.

Yes it works with my iphone 5! Now I can hook it up to a wireless mic., so that's cool.Bought along with the audio technica for use with my galaxy s4. Was told this along with those mic's would allow me to video record. However, it doesn't. Still uses the mic on the phone itself. Not even sure who to contact about this. Perfect.Adapter works well on iPhone 4I use two audio technica 3350 lavalier mics.
Make SURE batteries are up to snuff. Duracell 357 batteries seem to work best. I found 6 pack here on amazon. $10Easy to use and well made. CAn use two microphones for iPad/iPhone or iPod Touch. Recommend it to extend the audio.

I have worked with many DJ equipments since the past decade from Vinyl, CDJs, and now computer-operated MIDI controllers. I have to say that this little controller is one of my favorite straight-forward-no-frills MIDI controller, it is a clear winner on the $250 market. What competes with the Mixage? You got the Numark Mixtrack Pro which is fun to use, but has a built quality of a toy and looks like one too. You got the pricier Vestax Typhoon which offers very few features.Well to be fair, Mixage also has few features, however, this are the essential tools in which you build your mix. Pair another Mixage, and you have a four-deck controller which works seamlessly with Traktor Pro 2; or you can pair it with a high-end mixer for professional effects.
Pros:
A little controller that looks very professional; get an additional pair and you have a 4 deck combo for your samplers.
The knobs, crossfader, line faders, and buttons feels high-grade.
Very easy to configure and customize with Traktor.
Want a controller for fun, quick-straight-mixing, then this is your stuff.
Cons:
No EQ kills
I would want a bigger jogwheels.
The jogwheels are too sensitive for scratching.
I would have wanted to see the jogwheels used for controlling the filter or FX than Vinyl emulation (EDM is the trend today, turntablism is a lost art).
More inputs and outputs
This controller might work on VIP sessions, lounges, small clubs and bars, bedroom DJs and those who wanted a taste of computer DJing. This controller may not be for those looking for total Traktor integration (get a Traktor Kontrol S2/S4 or a Reloop Digital Jockey 3 ME) or big gigs and mega clubs.
I was hesitant in moving to MIDI controllers, but later I found out there are so many possibilities and creative things you can do with them than even the mightiest CDJs aren't able to do. I might be born in the year of the Vinyls and CDJs, but you have to move-on and embrace technology or you'll be left out. Don't be scared to reinvent yourself :)
So I would definitely recommend this controller for those budding young DJs and those Pros as well who just want to make a quick mix in their pads.

What I like about this controller, is that it's designed for Traktor. Although the buttons need a better layout and concise labeling. It took me some time to find the "Sync" button because it wasn't labelled. It's quite sturdy and fairly light. Volume sliders are nice and solid. The cross fader is a bit flimsy and I had some trouble with finding firmware for the controller. The jog wheels are a bit too sensitive and were way smaller than I expected. The inputs and outputs are fine. Over all it's a good sturdy little digital mixer for people beginning to DJ. If you want something to get the job done for the price and specs given, this is the one to go for. Some Pros:Sturdy knobs, easy to use, easy to learn. I recommend this for beginners, NOT for large audiences or events that require heavy output.
Some Cons:
Button lights stopped working before 1 year of use, must have exterior control for speakers (only RCA outlets on back...NOTHING else), loops become stuck and I have to restart software...
You get what you pay for. This thing is good for learning and small events like weddings, business parties etc... that's about it.
