I purchased the CDM3250 well aware that Gemini products are not known (among professional DJ's) for having a long life expectancy. My laptop does most of the work when I DJ anyway, but I want the ability to play CD's in case of an emergency and "travel lighter." After 3 performances, I am pleased to say the Gemini CDM3250 works well. One of things that surprised me is that it sounds very clean when connected to a pair of powered speakers. There is no hissing or humming. Because this is a bare-bones unit with only basic features, it is easy to operate. The optical drives take their time reading CD's and do not show song title or artist. There is no XLR mic input; only 1/4 inch, but it sounds great!

If you can live with these minor drawbacks, you will have a great backup/secondary DJ setup that is lightweight and portable. I recommend buying the case for it as well.

The gemini cdm-3250 is a greate product for dj's and amitures alike, I've hade a gemini cdm dj system befor and I think there greate value for money, My only regret is haveing to sell the one that I hade :-(

But ! I have promised myself that "I WILL" get a replacement for the one that I hade to sell & this time "I will not" sell the next gemini cdm dj system that I buy because they are such good value for money.
