Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This 3.5mm Stereo Audio Cable works well as expected, the price is good and the coiled-style is ideal for the car. However the usable length is only a touch over 3-feet new (maybe more as it stretches over time) and is just too short for most cars where the line-in/Aux insert can be located anywhere from the center console to the front passenger side dash. Forget about rear passenger use in mini-vans.

The stated length of 6.5 feet/2 meters is when the item is fully uncoiled, and while one can certainly uncoil part of the cable to increase usable length, the challenge would be keeping the line from recoiling itself back into a knot (think of a telephone line).

Only recommended for needs under 3-ft.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I tested out this cord to connect an iPhone to a Toyota Prius (headphone jack inside the center console), and the cord worked but was on the short side. Also, the coiled nature made it a bit tough to close the center console lid on top of the cable.

If you are in need of this cable in a short length, then it is a very nice cable, and the coil is nice (versus a long cable that has to be wound up).

This cable replaced a cable that automatically retracted into a holder, as the retractable nature of that cable quickly broke.

This is a good cable when short lengths are needed, but it is too short for usage inside a car.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This AmazonBasics 3.5 mm Coiled Stereo Audio Cable is stated as 6.5 feet stretched. In its unstretched state, it is 14-1/4 inches from end to end of the plugs. It is the perfect length for connecting my Nomad mp3 player to my Sharp I-Elegance speaker. I carry them from room to room and the extra coiled length provides room to stretch without getting tripped up. In my opinion, if your devices are more than the unstretched length apart, you should look to buy a longer cable. To me, it will be frustrating to have portable devices constantly tugging at each other and may even damage the plugs or the sockets in the long run. The 3.5mm stereo plugs fit snuggly; there is no connectivity problem and the sound quality is excellent. It is too early for me to speak of the cable's durability. I will update my review when appropriate.

Update: After a month of in-home use, a break developed at one of the plugs. Bending the cable at the end of the plug would cause a pause in the signal. I cannot recommend this product to Amazon shoppers.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a nice little cable. It has that gold surface anthe cool coiled section. Even has a slight inset that helps when using it with a cell phone, or ipod. But when using it in my car hooking it up to my stereo, there is obvious noise due to a lack of shielding.

I like to keep my vehicles clean and neat. This cord is AWESOME. Not only does it keep things neat, it's easy to find and decipher from other cords due to it's unique coil design. I use it with my iPhone 5 and the cord works without any problems with my OtterBox commuter case.
