This keyboard has a wide range of Hits and misses. I'm on my third one right now. Why? you ask? Because its sound is unmistakably the tops of any keyboard for the Fender Rhodes Electric piano, plus all of the other sounds are above anything offered by any other keyboard. I say this as a pianist, who loves to play the real thing. I'll add to all the good first by saying that the weighted hammer-action keys also give you the real piano playing experience. For all of that it gets five stars. Now the bad and the ugly. The keyboard is unpredictable, reading the forums for this particular keyboard will give you an idea of how many are frustrated with dropped notes, missing notes or sounds when played. For me, the entire keyboard would go out anytime I stored it on its end for more than a month. Repair can't fix it, Korg won't acknowledge it, or just says it rarely happens. The problem is with the RH3 Keybed and it would take a better technician than I to be able to tell you why this keybed acts up and puts the damper on the fun of having what starts out to be the best keyboard on the planet. I have my third keyboard in hopes that if I store it mostly horizontally or flat that the keyboard action will not fail me again. Honsestly, I'm babying this thing for all its worth and it truly is worth a lot to me because of it's amazing sounds. I figure it's like a fussy violin or other instrument that is greatly loved and also hated at the same time. If you get this keyboard, be prepared to enjoy its amazing up-side, but be prepared to possibly have keybed problems too, I'm sure not everybody does, but those who do are not happy with it.Buy KORG SV173BK 73-Key Digital Piano with Vintage Sounds, Period Effects and Retro Styling Now
This digital piano sits on its backside end under the extended foot of my bed in the RV and I noticed the same sensation happening; some keys not working. Although so far... once the keyboard is horizontal, eventually all the keys have started working again.
