I've been using iOS-based effects for a few years now. My favorite apps are iShred Live and AmpKit+. I've had issues with analog links, including excessive noise , feedback and too quiet sound, especially using AmpKit+. This new digital link, Peavey Ampkit Link HD" works perfectly with both apps. The sound is clean and the output volume is plenty loud.

The only drawback is that the output is a 1/8" plug, so you will need an adapter to use this with an amplifier for live performance. Also, an adapter is required to use this with the new iPhone 5. Other than that, it performs perfectly well at a reasonable price. Don't bother with the less expensive adapters, as they are analog instead of digital and you will suffer feedback and noise.
