These headphones are nowhere near the best but for 8.50..cant beat it. if i was you though i would look up gogroove headphones instead of these, they have a more rich sound. but these due the job for everyday purpose including recording music.

You need to realize when you buy something for this price your are not going to get the best pair of headphones ever. But these headphones are very very good. Good bass, and mids are alright. You can't go wrong for this price. Very comfortable headphones as well.

I bought these headphones for $9.79 from Austin Bazaar Incorporated on Nov. 30, 2011.

It is being used everyday in a piano studio and it's still holding up nicely considering they're made of thin plastic. While the padding is sufficient, the ear openings are a little narrow so it may become uncomfortable after prolonged wearing. The shape of the headphones isn't round and doesn't contour the head. Instead, they're bent at an angle at on top of the sides of the head. The cord, thick and quite long, is connected to one side of the headphones. Actually the cord unnecessary long for what I'm using it for. I did notice they were able to reproduce some lower frequencies (sub 20Hz) better than my Sony MDR7506 that I bought for $99 almost 20 years ago.

I was quite surprised that inside the box along with the headphones were the following items:

16GB SDHC card (doesn't work though)

male L/R RCA to 1/8" stereo male 6ft cable (seems sturdy and thicker than cheap ones)

1/8" male to 1/8" male stereo 6ft cable (also seems thick and sturdy)

1/8" female to 1/4" male headphone adapter (black plastic)

flexible mini tripod

pack of 8 DURACELL AA batteries (dated Mar 2017)

The same items may not come with every Samson HP10 (or any at all) so they're just a bonus. Given what I received with the headphone, how the headphone is functioning and the price at which they're being sold, they're quite a great value.

I bought 4 of these for my studio about 5 years ago. The left side of one of them went out about a year into, and i must say i am pretty hard on my stuff so i want surprised when one side stopped working. But the rest have held up fine! I still use them today. The frequency response is good. When you listen to music with them completely flat (without any EQ) it sounds pretty good. They're not the best headphones but they definitely get the job done.

I bought several of these headphones for monitoring in my studio. Nothing fancy, don't sound the greatest, but they do their job well.
