I bought this cable specifically to replace a cheap cable that had worn through from long-term abuse in my car. This cable seems much sturdier and higher-quality, so I'm pleased with it. But it's so thick that it's hard to coil up into a small bundle, which is a little unwieldy in the car.

I use these cables to connect my laptop to my TV's audio jack. In the past I had to use an extension on a pair of dirt cheap cables. Somehow the use of an extension worsened the already average quality of the audio and it sounded as if everything was coming out of a tin can. With these cables I really hear the audio as it was meant to be heard. Immediately the differences were very apparant.

I was listening to a Persian singer I quite enjoy called Farhad Mehrad and his gentle but giant voice has a booming bass to it. With the old cables I could hardly perceive the depth of his singing and it was as if I was listening to YouTube audio quality. These cables enhanced the nuances of his style so amazingly well. It felt as though he was in the room with me and I could feel his words hitting my lungs.

There is hardly any hint of distortion, though I do notice some slight hissing when I turn the volume on my TV to 60+. This most likely has nothing to do with the cables themselves because I do not notice the hissing when plugging this cable to the speakers for my Ipod and turning it to maximum volume. Other than that, the experience has been wonderful and it is well worth to pay a little more for the type of quality these cables deliver.

I'm writing this to let others know about the cable. From other reviews, I did not get the impression that the build quality was as stout as it indicates.

My review is as follows:

a) Quality: 5 out of 5 very well manufactured and insulated. No negative feedback from use and works as well as others have described

b) Product: 4 out of 5 may take some 'breaking in' to get the cable to a more flexible and manageable condition. I bought this to use as a cable to connect my MP3 played to my Tacoma's auxiliary port. What I've found is that cable works well coiled (as it arrived from Amazon), but my MP3 player is hard to hold on to because of the 'stoutness' of the cable. The cable itselt has an outer cover like a strong nylon net wrapper and allows the cable to slide with ease.

All in all, there will be other uses for this cable and I surmise it will last a long time :)

This is top quality. The cable is thick, which is good, looks like having protection, insulation againts interference, etc. I use it to connect the laptop to the TV. I bought this one because I had problems with another cable.
