One of the better reasons to buy Azden is that they're an old HAM radio outfit. So you get the quality, durability, and FRIENDLY SERVICE one would expect from one's friendly "Uncle Joe" who could make anything work and who was always kind.

That describes my experience. The thing has longer range than expected. The quality is good. The units are versatile. And, when I e-mailed a technical question one of their guys CALLED ME to answer it and offer great helpful advice on the unit.

This UHF based wireless audio system has worked flawless. Battery life is somewhat shorter than I had expected, but using non-rechargable batteries adds about 45 minutes to the transmitting time. For pro work on DSLR and DSLT cameras, you will need something along the lines of the Beach Tech interface (there are others out there that work well also), so that you can get the injection of the tone to kill the in-camera db boost. As far as quaility goes, Azden did a great job. The only thing that you need to watch for is that the mic's do not have a locking mechanism where they enter the transmitter, and if you run the mic wire up the back of a shirt and around to the front of the person, if they sit down wrong it can come un-plugged from the transmitter on their belt. Not a big deal if you watch for it and make sure that it comes through on your headset on the Beach Tech interface box. The other thing is that you do have to really pay attention to the instructions to make sure that you set the channels correctly. You can find yourself on mis-matching frequencies real easily. Otherise a great product for price.

I was a little concerned that the sound quality might not be up to the task, so when the system was delivered I did a sound test immediately. The only drawback, and this is an easy work around was the camera mount, not all cameras have a camera mount so you may need to by a twenty dollar adapter.

Great Gear At a Great Price: I have always wanted a dual channel wireless system but they have never been this low before in price. This comes with a really nice carry case too. At first I had trouble getting the settings right but the folks at Azden were very helpful and friendly and took care me as soon as I called them. I am very pleased with the quality of audio I'm getting from this equipment.
