This solved my problem with buying new speaker. Instead the extension helped me maximize my ipod's potential. It work to..some of the other sellers sell really bad copies that dont even work when you get them. Love Love L0ve this extension cable.

Bought this cable to use with my iphone in my car. Have been disappointed with the sound quality. My stereo also has a USB input so I can also play Music using my iphone's charging cable. The Music via the USB is clearly superior over the 3.5 mm slot. I ended up spending another $10 on an extra USB cable for use in my car. The USB cable's not from Apple but still gives the same sound quality as the original factory cable. Another downside of this cable is that metallic holders at both ends are put in place using some cheap glue. They come off if you try to pull the cable out by holding them. It seems they are on the cable just for cosmetic purposes, they don't really serve any useful purpose. That said, it is a basic cable so if you're not too concerned about the sound quality then go ahead buy it, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.
