I bought this as a low cost replacement for my Tapco Mix100 that I loved so much. This thing has given me 0 problems at all in years of use. I run a studio condenser and 2 soundcard lines into it for broadcasting internet radio shows. The sound is good, the gain and volume levels are steady, and the jacks are solid. It's fairly neutral in audio tone quality as well.

A lot of people bad mouth Phonic, but they are an OEM. They actually build the mixers for Yamaha, Roland, Mackie and Behringer. I'm sure there are more out there as well. If I could find another for the price I paid, I know a few home-based internet DJ's that could use one.

Package arrived safely and on-time. I consider myself an amateur and bought this mixer as the platform on which to build a modest home recording studio. I have a little background in audio recording from my college days and thought this little mixer would suffice for the time being. The +48V Phantom Power option for future addition of a condenser studio mic peaked my interest. To begin, I plugged in my electric guitar into the Line 1 Phone Jack with no indication of an audio signal. After several minutes of knob-twisting, button-pushing and references to the User Manual, I adjusted the Line/Mic Gain Control to 75-80% of its maximum before receiving a recommended audio level. I'm temporarily using a cheap home speaker system made for MP3 players. I used the "Phones" output for lack of having true near-field studio monitors at this time. Eventually, I'll purchase a pair of nice studio monitorsAlesis M1Active 320 USB Studio Monitor Pair and utilize the "CTRL RM" Output Jacks. I plan on recording to cassette tape using the "REC OUT" RCA Jacks. So far, so good. Overall, a nice little mixer with plenty of options.
