I got these as a gift and I am really impressed. This is the simplest way practice by yourself on an electric guitar, just plug it in and jam. Since there are no other boxes or things to plug in you can stand up and walk around without tripping over wires or ripping the headphones off.

I have played with them for hours using a MIJ Strat and the tone is surprisingly good considering there are no tubes to be found anywhere and the whole thing runs on 2 AA batteries (included). The "gain" and "tone" can dial in overdrive while the effects add enough to make it all seem much bigger than it really is. So far though, I have not turned the volume up past 3 in a quite living room, so they have plenty of headroom if you have to overcome a loud environment.

If you have a chance, set the gain to 8, tone to 6, volume to 3 and effects to 6, then select the bridge pickup, volume 10, tone 5 and play something simple like "e, a, b" power chords or a blues shuffle. (sure it will sound different on your guitar, but it should sound pretty thick and tasty somewhere around there)

With the AUX in I can play to music on my smartphone or laptop (cable not supplied but it is a basic 1/4 stereo to 1/4 stereo type).

Battery life seems good, I have been using them for at least 10 hours on the factory batteries and it's still going (the manual says 16 for alkaline).

The headband gets big enough to fit over my head with plenty of room to spare (seems roomy compared to others headphones I have tried).

These are light weight and fit completely over the ears and the pads feel good, not too tight.

Lastly, they work as regular headphones without the guitar.

If I had any complaints, the plastic is very plastic (if that makes any sense), I don't think they are going to win any design awards based on looks and feel but they seem like they will hold up.

Bottom line, I would recommend them to a friend.

1. Overall, an excellent product.

2. Sounds 99% like a Fender Twin (seriously).

3. Headphones fit well (adjustable) and are not too heavy while wearing them.

4. Sound quality is excellent.

5. They also sound great when used as regular headphones for playback with an iPod, iMac, etc.

6. Shipped from Chicago Music Exchange & they did a great job packing & shipping this to me. Had it in 3 days!

7. Gripe 1: They are made of plastic. Should have been made of metal to hold up better; they are a little on the delicate side.

8. Gripe 2: You never really know what you will get when you set/turn the "Effects" knob. The results depend on how everything else is set.

9. Worth the money. Great for having with you when you travel just like playing thru a twin, without disturbing anyone. Also ... Want to practice at home after your significant other has gone to bed? These are the ticket. They also make a version that imitates a VOX AC30 and also a "Lead" amp. Personally, I liked the Twin better.
