The headphones are supposedly re-branded SuperLux 662Fs, which are known to be some of the best headphones for around $50. These guys did not dissapoint. I am using them for gaming mostly in conjunction with my Turtle Beach Earforce DDS processor which simulates surround sound in headphones. It is awesome. Wasn't so certain from the reviews, accurate sound with clarity for a low price from a brand I've never heard of? The packaging resembled something you'd find in a $2 shop but once I put them on and started listening I was surprised!Audio is extremely accurate and shows any defects immediately, there's a massive difference between good quality and excellent quality audio and you don't need an expensive hifi system to realise that. Noise isolation is pretty good, so good that I doubt many would want to use this in combination with podcasting as when you talk your voice sounds like its inside your head. Ear padding is also nice and thick with a quality feeling and avoids that crumpled cheap looking stuff you'd normally find in other $50-120 headphones. The cable is nice and thick too, unlikely to break from rolling over it with a computer chair 1000 times and has a gold connector with 2 various inputs. To reveal the traditional 3.5mm jack you just unscrew the stereo one its not in separate packaging.
However there's a few down points to an otherwise great pair of headphones. First off, the looks: the cans on these are massive and stick out a lot which is not good for a narrow shaped head like mine + they're hardly fashionable either for outdoor wear. Secondly, there are VERY tight on the head which can make them uncomfortable after 30min and if you rest them on your neck it'll form a choking position so when you're not listening to anything you'll want to take them off. Thirdly, they're restrictive for natural movement if you turn your head these will not turn with you and force your head into an uncomfortable locked position.
Its a shame that natural movements or having a normal/small sized head seem to be disadvantages for a pair of HEADphones! But anyway, if you can look past these flaws and figure out a way to stretch them out then its pleasure on the ears and a must for anyone who's serious about audio quality whilst on a budget

I have a home studio and bought two pair, one for recording engineer and one for the performer. This way it can be balanced sound signal to both individuals at the same time. In my opinion it has perfect sound reproduction and I have owned many headphones. Thanks CAD for making a quality product! This headset was recommended on the GaragebandAndBeyond website as a great intro studio monitor for recording. Being relatively new to recording I find most of their tips very helpful and gave this a shot. Wow! When I listened to work I previously thought was flawless using my old headphones, I realized how much more work had to go into the project to make a pro sound. No sugar coating with these, you hear whats actually recorded. I love the candid accuracy of these! It will definitely make me step up my game.
