I picked up a few of these because the studio I was at needed an extended run to some MDR-7506s. For the price and speed of delivery it was a no-brainer. Granted, the quality of the connection wasn't the best, but it was close to a 40' run with two cables (can't fault the cable for that). Project went off without a hitch, problem solved.I have to take off three stars though. Here's why:
1) After a few uses one of the connectors stopped making good contact. If it was one cable that had this, I'd chalk it up to a fluke that got through the QC process. Instead this was a common issue with most of the cables.
2) The cable itself (more to the point, the insulation jacket) wore on these after about six months of moderate usage. I've got cables from all kinda of manufacturers (Redco, Mogami, Gotham, etc.) and I'd never seen this happen before, unless the cable was exposed to solvent (which it wasn't).
Normally I just take off a star for each problem I have, but when combined, these two issues made the cables I purchased (80% of them at least) completely unusable in less than a year. I've used Hosa products before, so I was really surprised by how poor the quality was (yeah people in the industry make fun of Hosa, but they're a good bang-for-the-buck cable for smaller studios and when you need one in a pinch).
If you need something quick and short term, then you can't go wrong for the price. If you need something that's going to last, spend a few bucks more (had I the luxury of waiting a few days longer, I would have done so myself).

This cable started having problems just after a couple of months of light use. The connection at the female end became loose and wouldn't hold a male cable firmly, causing audio to cut in and out. I'll never buy one of these again.Read Best Reviews of Hosa Straight Headphone Extension Cable - 25 Foot Here
I purchased this extending cable to extend from my guitar to the cord for Rocksmith that hooks into the XBOX 360. The game speciafically says do not add additional cords (but does not give a reason)... works completely fine for Rocksmith extension.Want Hosa Straight Headphone Extension Cable - 25 Foot Discount?
Worked great, actually used for headphones as I track vocals in a seperate room from my control room (studio) and didn't want to spend a lot of money building a specific snake for this....Cable is transparent to the signal (as one's ears could tell), connectors work good and aren't buggyThere's not much to say about this cable except that it does what it's simply designed to do. You should not have to pay big bucks for this kind of thing to enjoy sound from your armchair when others are asleep.
