I narrate audio books and love my Harlan Hogan headphones. As you can imagine I wear them for hours at a time. They're very well built, comfortable and they sound great. If this pair ever wears out I'll buy another.

"I do a TON of voice over editing and mixing, and wearing headphones for extended periods of time can be quite uncomfortable. Harlan has done it again! By using memory foam and real leather, these are the most comfortable phones I've worn EVER! Not to mention the combo coiled cord and straight cord best of both worlds!" First of all I have to say, especially after letting the diaphragms on these cans break in after at least one hundred hours of use, they sound great. Neutral and nuanced, they are great for monitoring. The build is superb, leather instead of pleather, and great thought was put into the design for the VO artist. My only complaint is the comfort factor, being used to headphones which fit over my ear instead of on them, after an hour or so my ears start to hurt and I do not have large ears. If these were as comfy as my Beyer DT 770 Pros or even my Sennhieser 280 Pro phones, they would be darn near perfect, at least for me. If they didn't sound so darn accurate, I would have to take a star away for comfort, which may be a personal quirk.

Addendum, May 19, 2013

I replaced the pads with Beyerdynamic EDT 250 V, now they are much more comfortable for me. The high frequencies are attenuated slightly more, but not as much as my Beyer DT 770 Pros, so I'm assuming I'm still getting a pretty flat response. Now I can monitor all day and not have sore ears!

Wow...everything everyone else has written about these "Cans" is true. Quality from the quarter inch connector to the leather covered ear pads. Just a joy to wear providing a true sound. They will definitely increase the quality of my auditions and voice work reads and production. I'm confident of that.
