I owned the Mixtrack Pro. and now I have this. This is smaller but seems to be built with better materials. And the jog wheel feels so much superior to the mixtrack. right out the box without messing with the presets, the latency is better as well. the jog wheels are so much better. With the Mixtrack, if you touch the job wheel while in scratch mode, the track will stop. you have to un-press the scratch button every time. this one has a jog wheel that requires a little pressure downwards to scratch which makes a world of a difference so you do not have to worry. and you can nudge the tracks to catch the beat on this much better. the pitch on the Numark is not even close to being accurate or really usable. at the same price, I will say this dj4set kicks mucho butt.

This controller is a winner. It has almost everything a newcomer to the DJing world needs. Intermediate DJs will find it great too.

I'll list the pros and cons of the controller,

Pros:

1) 4 decks instead of 2 in all competitors.

2) Internal sound card to use your headphones to cue and your microphone to speak to your crowd.

3) a 3.5 m output sound plug to use for basic home speaker systems. (Didn't find this in Numark).

4) a really simple layout and large touch sensitive wheels.

Cons:

1) there are no nubs to control the effects, instead there are buttons. (I prefere the nubs).

2) You gotta upgrade the software as it's really basic with not much effects.

Overall, I love this mixer. the effects and software work great, no damages out of the box so good sign. It is built sturdy and has all the features of a great beginning starter DJ deck. I rate this one at a 5.

The board is fun and easy to operate, It does take some practice to become really good, I have new respect for DJ's!

Quality was good for the price and has some cool effects.

great product. slightly lacks the quality at the cue and play/pause buttons but more than makes up for it in the jog wheels. punch for this price. quite the best product in its range.
