I recently purchased the CASIO wk-6500 because my Yamaha PSR model(which I've had for several years)started with problems.I originally looked at the new Yamahas, but the changes they made were like starting at square one againso I looked at all the keyboards in the store. I am very impressed with what this Casio can do. At first I had to adjust to the different ways Casio finds "voice=sounds", also "style"is now Rhythm, but these are simple enough changes to adjust to. This past week was the first time I used this to perform with and it was great! The grand piano sounds beautiful and layered with strings(which I can adjust) was just perfect.(My Yamaha's were all preset layers) There are many pre-set intros and endings so I can really sound fab without really trying. My biggest adjustment was the regisration setting,to save what I had created. Once I figured that out, the rest was a breese. I love the Octave change capability with one easy step, too. There is also a custom mixer! Really easy to work with. I have to say overall. I'm a happy little musician! Oh! I forgot to say you can download from the internet with USB and use an SD card to save on!

It's interesting how this thing is so unknown. It looks like a piano, it sounds like a piano, and it feels like a piano.

First the sound: It sounds oh-so-sweet. I'm pretty sensitive to audio quality. The built-in speakers are surprisingly good, putting out some exceptionally full lows, clean highs, and even impressive thumps from the percussion section. I was planning to plug this into my component system, which I also use for my V-Drums, but the built-in speakers sound so good I just use them (of course it doesn't go loud enough to replace a separate amp/monitor system, but who would expect it to).

The keys feel effin good. This is as good as you'll find without paying for weighted keys, and it gets pretty darn close to those anyway. (Just because another review mentions this, the audible knock from the key mechanism is far from excessive; no more than you'd get from any keyboard).

It also LOOKS great. All-black with subtle electronic controls, for a true piano-like grace plus a modern touch. I love looking at it.

Between the looks, the key feel, and the clean sound, it's a piano. It might not be all big and stuff, but it's a piano.

The built-in instrument and effects possibilities are surprisingly vast. The instruments themselves are very well sampled, quality stuff. Lots of effects with lots of customizable settings for each. I haven't played with the sequencer so I can't comment on that.

The display and button layout is pretty intuitive. Make sure to activate AutoResume, or else all settings revert to their defaults when you power off. USB to PC (Win7 x64) gets recognized immediately, no hassles, no drivers. The manual is quite readable.

Quips:

It's not nearly as heavy as it looks. This could be a good or bad thing, depending. I like heavy things because they feel like higher quality. Who wants to pay for empty space? This actually has a lot of visible empty space in its underside. Oh well. If I had to travel with it I'd obviously appreciate the light weight.

Like many keyboards, no pedal = no sustain, so order a pedal. I think every keyboard should include a sustain button on the panel, and I'm mystified as to why they still don't. I MacGyvered a solution out of a small piece of rolled-up tin foil shoved into an audio adapter (small-to-big headphone adapter, the foil shorts the connection). Unplug to deactivate. Also makes a good conversation starter ("Dude, why's there tin foil sticking out of your board?" "It keeps the government from listening to my music." "Oh. Kay.")

The Amazon specs are a little hazy on the exact port types, so here they are:

DC power (adapter included)

Battery compartment: 6 D-size batteries

USB (Standard-B)

SD / SDHC Card Slot

Sustain pedal (1/4" audio-type)

Phones (1/4")

Mic In (1/4")

Audio In (1/8")

Audio Out Left (1/4")

Audio Out Right (1/4")

All the audio jacks are phone-type. There are no RCA-type ports.

My conclusion is that this is an awesome deal. It has it where it counts, along with all the bells and whistles, for a great price. But no sustain button! I mean, seriously, in this day and age... Okay anyway, for reals, get this PIANO. You'll not be sorry.

I must say that this keyboard is still unnoticed! yes I got this keyboard when it was launched and now I would ascertain that this keyboard elevates itself to the professional level.

I wanted to buy YAMAHA, but none of their keyboards stand a chance when it comes to a sub 400$ price range. First thing to notice is its great design, there is no fancy coloring going on its just all black with plenty of buttons to make the workflow easier. The touch sensitive keys are just breeze to play on, they really give the feel of playing on a conventional piano. The info Display screen is very good. Its nice big and bright with white light.

The tones are just amazing, about 650 to choose from amazing rhythms. It is also possible to create user tones and custom rhythms with much of ease. It is very easy to switch between the various tones by storing the tones in the Bank Keys. The 16 track to record on, saving the recorded song to an external memory card happens with a touch of a button!

If Beginners or Hobbyists (like me) are looking for some fine piece of instrument with a minimal budget in mind, just pick this Casio am sure you would love it!

I got this keyboard in a package deal [Keyboard, Stand, Headphones, USB/Midi Cable, Learning CD] So ill address all of those as well at the end.

WK-6500: I could type a whole lot here but ill try to keep it simple.

Just for reference, I'm just an average young adult who enjoys playing piano, that's it. Don't play concerts, teach, or use for professional audio circumstances. I just play and enjoy it, sometimes use it for videos I edit, and occasionally post to YouTube but more on that later. I will say if you do play concerts, teach, or anywhere in between than this will more than cover your needs for that. The keyboard itself looks beautiful. A lot bigger to my eyes going from and old "kiddie" keyboard with lights and stuff [61 keyed]. Sleek look, good design, and all around beauty. The interface is pretty simple and has more than enough options for whatever your needs are. Tons of tones, rhythms, beats, etc that you could want and I think you can even upload more if for some reason you would need that. It's definitely aimed at the Beginner Semi/Pro level users. Keys feel just like a real piano. Weighted enough that if you played on a normal grand piano it would feel natural. Speakers sound nice and loud and have great quality. Backlighting is great! Easily can see the menu's and having a LED on the "Play/Pause" button that lights to a beat is a nice touch. Also glowing RED record button is always a plus to know when you're recording or not. You can easily record and store songs, and even layer what like 17 tones or something ridiculous like that? Plenty of customizable options that should exceed everyone's needs. Ports are always a plus and this thing has 'em. Sustain works properly, Headphone jack is always preferred for not disturbing others. USB Midi port, Line out, Mic in, and even a 3.5mm Jack for plugging in your Mp3 player which I have to say sounds amazing playing along or just using it as speakers to listen to your music if you need haha. Don't know what else I can say but it's definitely worth every penny and more. The recording quality is absolutely amazing, though I have heard if you try to save to SD card slot and then transfer it may not work as well. But again if you really wanted quality you would know this and at least use "headphone" out port or finally the best LINE OUT since that's what it's for. All I can say is if you get this... you will not be disappointed.

Stand: Standard stand. Works well. Easy to assemble. Holds it up nice. Not much else to say. I needed a new one and a package deal came with it so that's that.

Headphones: This was the funny one. The box it came it looked like Amazon or whomever ships this product got a gang together to play soccer with it in the back before shipping it out to me. Which is fine I'm glad someone got more use outta it than I would have. The second I opened the headphones the right ear plastic broke on the inside (as you would expect only the left ear worked). You might as well strap two rocks to your ears and it would be more comfortable than these things. I had fun snapping them in half and throwing them away within 60 seconds of receiving the headphones in the box. I didn't expect any more. Maybe both ears working at least? I would have preferred some iPod headphones instead TBH. But again if you buy a keyboard with "Free Headphones" expecting more than a paperweight than you deserve the disappointment that follows. I use my professional audiophile headset with this keyboard and it sounds absolutely beautiful.

USB Cable: Works. Nice quality. FREE :) Best part. This I actually got use outta.

CD: I teach myself so I didn't need it but I'm sure it may have some useful information for those who need it. Never used it so wouldn't know.

Final thoughts: If you like playing piano and want the closest thing in Keyboard form. You've found it. All reviews are spot on being 5 stars.

Addressing a "Accompany" mode "issue" I saw in another review. *Facepalm. It's not a defect of the keyboard. Chord mode doesn't let you use multiple keys simultaneously so of course a few 'dont respond since it's not designed that way. But honestly if you're buying a keyboard as expensive as this and cant play the chord yourself than I would suggest something a lot lower down the line than this. Chord mode does work perfectly though. I use it when I am experimenting with keys and want to free up my left hand and just hit 1 note over 3/4 but of course it sounds weird since it's computer generated chords and not them being played by hand. Feel as if that review botched the final star count for this product when it was a misunderstanding. If I could give it 10 stars to compensate I would.

I purchased the Casio WK-6500 a few months ago and have used it to perform with my two choirs at church. The grand piano sounds are excellent and the 60's piano I found to be authentic with the Rhodes piano with a little tweaking done on my own. This board I would recommend to any musician that is playing publicly or otherwise...the only downside with the Casio WK-6500 is that if you use earphones at night to practice, my wife and daughter in the next room complained that they could "hear" me practicing and that the "clanking" noise of the keys were annoying to them so they could not sleep!! Casio...please do something about your keyboard pad...its' too noisy even with earphones! You can work this problem out I'm sure, otherwise, Great job, Great price and it's an amazing keyboard!

I was wanting a case for my new Sennheiser HD-280 PRO Headphones, and that's what I got. More then enough room and nice quality to. I bought this case to protect my Audio-Technica ATH-M50 Professional Studio Monitor Headphones. The headphones fit well because the ear pieces rotate to fold flat otherwise the height of the case might be an issue with larger headphones. The case is light yet stiff enough to protect the headphones from accidental damage and the carrying handle is convenient. The zipper is a high quality nylon and zips easily and securely. I'm pleased with these and would highly recommend them.

Make sure that the diameter of the ear pieces of your headphones will fit in the case which is only 3.5 inches deep when closed, not 4" as advertised. The other inner dimensions are 8" x 8.25", not anywhere near 9" x 11" as stated under "product details". I was very careful with my measurements and measured from the inside of the case except for height/depth where I placed a ruler across the top of the case and measured with a second ruler standing up on my desk to the bottom of the first ruler. As the case is somewhat flexible it will accommodate headphones of slightly different sizes but not by much. I hope this helped prospective buyers.

The dimensions given in the product listing are incorrect. The 4 inch dimension actually states 3.5 inches on the box, but when measuring the product, it's only 3 inches. This is a problem and this item will have to be returned.

When I decided to pick up the UDG U8200 case for my Sennheiser Amperiors, I paid close attention to reviews by owners of the HD25-1 II, since the Amperior is merely a tweaked version. When I saw that three HD25 owners used this case without complaint, I ordered it immediately.

Five things to consider if you're thinking about buying the U8200 and own some version of the HD25:

1. Because it isn't specifically made for portable headphones, the U8200 takes up far more space than a more tailored case. This makes carrying your HD25s less practical in tight circumstances. Bags which fit my Amperiors comfortably now prove a tad too small.

2. The case is a bit roomy for the HD25-1/Amperior, which slides around. This means that any owner of reasonably compact headphones will have to pad the inside of the case.

3. The case does not come with cushioning, foam or even inserts. This is understandable, since it isn't tailor-made for any particular kind of headphones, but it means the user will is tasked with finding a solution.

4. The extra room isn't put to particularly good use. There are no pockets for cables or adapters on the inside or outside of the case. Perhaps the best solution would be to buy a small soft case for cables and then use it anchor the headphones, but -again -that solution requires the owner to spend more time and money.

5. It is not a terribly hard case (like those made by Slappa or V-Moda). It seems hard enough to protect headphones in most situations, but the sides do flex.

If anyone had alerted me to these limitations, I wouldn't have spent $40 for a minimal and generic case, and I certainly wouldn't have agreed to pay extra for shipping (it was only available from a third party). I'd either have bought something cheaper or more specific to portability and travel.

I was looking for new headphones and after hours of searching the internet and asking on forums, I chose on these.

They came packaged nicely, were incredibly light (which is what I wanted) and felt solidly built. They had a very annoying squeak when you tilted the ear-cups, but that was probably the chrome rubbing on the plastic.

I'm not a huge audiophile nor am I a DJ, so the only other headphones I can compare these to is the Turtle Beach Z6A headphones (which broke a lot) and the random pair of Sony ear buds I had lying around. The Reloops sounded MUCH better than both of these, but were also incredibly tight and felt like they were crushing my skull. I tried everything I could to loosen them up without breaking the headset or severely disfiguring it, but they were just too tight. I have a large head so it probably isn't the fault of the headphones.

Still, they didn't feel worth $85. I sent these back and bought $30 Panasonic headphones and say they sound just as good as these Reloops, and they fit my head.

I've ordered two pairs of these already, and BOTH have come with the metal ring on the exterior of the right ear cup detached. I know this is purely cosmetic, but what gives??? I feel that if I simply try to glue it back on (even though they are obviously glued on in the first place), it will likely begin to rattle, and I simply should not have to glue ANY item as soon as I pull it out of the box. After my second return, the third set is on its way. This is ridiculous, you are 0-2 Reloop, three strikes & you are out! Really makes me think twice about the quality of your controllers as well. Big ups to Amazon for their awesome hassle-free return policy.

This seemed like a great deal to supplement my Beyer Dynamics 770 Pro's and Sennheiser HD 25's with a nice set of travel cans for iphone & such: value price, fold & pivot, detachable cord, additional straight cable (not included in either package), extra ear pads w/the choice of on-ear and circumaural (nice touch); but if it comes in pieces straight out of the box, one has to undoubtedly question the item's durability. If the third set arrives intact, I will use them everyday for 29 days to see if they hold up.

Sound: They are pretty nice. A lil more boomy than professional reference monitors, but that's what I wanted. Not so much for the studio, but def tight for gigs & such. The boom muddles up the mids just a touch, but it does not sound bad, and the highs are on point. Perfect for traveling DJ's who don't need expensive monitors. They probably need some burn-in time to be certain, but I was really happy with the sound for the price.

Don't be fooled, much of the shiny part is actually plastic, but the headband is metal, & although they are very light, they feel quite sturdy overall. They bend well, and you can basically put the ear cups anywhere oh your head you would like (w/in reason).

The phones probably don't deserve two stars, they sound great and have some extra bells & whistles, but two returns is absolutely frustrating, and you can be certain that if the third pair arrives in the same condition that rating will go down to a one star! If that happens, I will NEVER purchase anything from reloop again, and I just happen to be in the market for a new MIDI controller. Hmmm...

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program These are inexpensive headphones for your kid/teenager to use with their iPod or computer or tablet. It is very cute (I have the blue color). The 14-year old loved the headphones and thinks they are the coolest ever. He also said that they were kind of lose but they seem to hold on to his head.

I like that the lights can be turned off (as they annoyed me after a while).

I can only recommend this headphones if you do not want to spend a lot of money.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I was excited for my 9 year-old daughter to try these out and so was she! She tore open the package, got her iPod, put them on and said, "They don't want to stay on." She tried over and over, adjusting the band but they don't have enough tension to stay put on her head. I tried them on my big head and the same thing happened.

Next, they only played out of one headphone. I tried different songs, I tested my iPod to make sure they worked with another set of headphones, all was good except for the First Act JamTech headphones.

Lastly, while I thought it was a cool idea to have the flashing lights, once she put them on her head, she couldn't see them. Duh. Why did I think that would be fun for her? Unless she is looking in a mirror or in a group of kids, in which case she shouldn't be listening to music on her own but as a group, there is absolutely no benefit to the flashing lights.

There were no redeeming qualities to this product. And I have enjoyed First Act products in the past. This one is a dud. Even if it does have volume limits and an auto off feature.

Save your money and get a portable speaker or something.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program These are very bad headphones.

They won't stay on your head unless you perfectly balance them and dare not to move your head a bit. I guess that's really as far as you need to go in the review. My seven-year old was pretty disappointed.

Sure, sound comes out, probably fine enough for kids listening to music. And, the lights on the sides do flicker on and off while music is playing. Might have been fun for a rave or paint party, maybe even a Daft Punk-inspired halloween costume.

But, these headphones are absolutely poorly designed, poorly manufactured, ill-fitting and won't stay on, even when you are sitting still. I hate to write such a negative review,

Someone at First Act clearly dropped the ball whenever it came to approving the production samples for going to market. I wouldn't be surprised if it were to be his or her "last act".

(If you could find a way to get them to stay on, maybe velcro them to a headband, it would be a good way to increase visibility while running at night.)

((Note: These are intended for younger children, and as such whom should not be encouraged to attend raves, paint parties, or to be out running at night.))

UPDATE PART 1: This is a virtual duplicate of a review I wrote elsewhere at Amazon, because they have the same item on their site twice. One sold by them, and one sold by Musician's Friend. Please note Part 2 of this update, at the end.

For those of you who know what an equalizer is used for, skip this and the next four paragraphs. If you don't know what an equalizer is used for, think of it as a more sophisticated tone control. Whereas most audio systems have two or three tonal ranges that can be adjusted (base, treble and sometimes mid, the problem is that a control labeled "Bass" boosts or cuts All tones in the range it considers "Bass". Ditto for "Treble" and "Mid". An equalizer simply breaks up the audio spectrum into a larger series of smaller ranges, permitting more precise tweaking. For example, if your audio system is in a room with a lot of drapes or rugs, the lower frequencies will tend to be absorbed. An equalizer allows you to boost those frequencies (and it's not the whole "Bass" range) to compensate for where the losses are. Similarly, a room with wooden floors will tend to accentuate the higher frequencies and make the music seem excessively "bright". An equalizer can be used to cut those frequencies to bring what you hear back into line. They can also be reset for changes in your listening environment. They're also good for commenting for how your speakers color the music. Another thing they are good for is adjusting the sound for changes in you. Simply put, the longer we're around the more our ears and perceptions change. The recorded music may be the same, but we hear it differently. As we age, higher frequencies are harder to hear and an equalizer can adjust for that. Where people tend to misuse these things is they don't realize adjustments don't have to be major. A little motion of the sliders is usually all you need. Of course, the worst thing that is done is when people simply move all sliders all the way to the top. This basically accomplishes nothing and makes people wonder what these devices actually do.

You'll find some sales people or "pros" who will tell you you don't need these anymore as modern systems are so precise there's's no need for their sound to be adjusted. While modern audio equipment is light years beyond what it use to be, the problem is, they can only design for their lab setting and make what happens in the unit as accurate as possible. They can't do anything about what happens to the sound after it leaves the amplifier. Your listening environment and ears are unknown to them and they can't design for it. Or, they'll claim this will "distort" the sound or interfere with your surround sound. Not true. This is just a ploy to avoid the fact that the equipment they're selling may not have the necessary connections to use these marvels. The signal that's going to your surround speakers has already been pulled off before it ever gets to the equalizer (unless you put one on each channel, which seems a bit extreme). These normally are used on the front channels only.

With a little experimentation, the difference these can make is nothing short of astounding. Instruments and voices become clearer and more distinct. Once you've got yours set up, flipping it in and out of the circuit will surprise you. That sound you thought was OK all these years suddenly sounds muddied, as if under water or behind a curtain. Put the EQ in the circuit and it all snaps into "focus". It's subtle, yet dramatic.

Over time, it's become harder to find these devices as people have become lazier. They don't want to spend the 15 minutes or so it takes to set these up (and every setup is custom) so they don't buy them and never realize what they're missing. The best place to put them in the circuit is between the amp and preamp, but since not that many people ask for that feature anymore, the manufactures tend to not put that capability into the majority of their systems. The next best place is in a tape monitor loop. However, fewer and fewer receivers still have the ability to play tape, and fewer still have a true monitor loop. If you don't have equipment with either of these capabilities, you nay not be able to use an equalizer. If you are fortunate to have a receiver or components capable of either of these functions, run, don't walk, and buy an equalizer while you still can at affordable prices.

Now the more advanced equalizers will have more frequency bands to adjust, the more the better until you start getting ridiculous for most home use (25?, C'mon). They'll also have separate c sliders for the left and right channels (there's no need to equalize anything but the two main channels until you get into systems that cost in the serious five figures and then you start equalizing all channels separately). This is great, because you can adjust for your listening environment more precisely, but naturally drives up the costs.

All that said, how does the FBQ800 stand up? Pretty darn good for the price. It's got nine bands, and each slider adjusts both the left and right channels simultaneously, something unavoidable in keeping down costs (or you could buy two, one for each channel). . Construction is OK, but feels a little flimsy, especially the slider. However, this isn't as big a deal as it seems because once you set the system up it's very rare that you'll touch the sliders very often again. So, they're more than good enough for what this unit is intended for, performances and/or home audio use for stereo and home theater systems of the type that most of us have. It adds no noticeable distortion, and draws minimal power (remember, it's not an amplifier).

Could it be improved? Sure. 12-15 bands, separate left and right adjustments, remote control "memory" for various settings for different types of signal. All of those can contribute a lot, especially the latter. But remember, folks, This Thing is Only 40 Bucks! Is this equalizer good enough for a $10,000 or more system? No way. You need to look at better equipment (you'll also have more options). But is it good enough for a $2,500 system? You bet! What it will do is fantastic and who knows? After a couple of years you may love equalization so much you'll want a $400 unit, which can probably carry you darn near forever. Even for the bigger systems, this unit is a great way to experiment with equalization and see what it can do for you. This is an Incredible deal, for the price.

One thing about how Amazon is selling this. Amazon's page says this weighs "32.6 pounds", and so their computer calculates enormous shipping costs. They're wrong. Not only does it not weigh 32.6 pounds, it weighs Less than ONE pound. This has been pointed out to Amazon numerous times, but they have yet to fix this. So, until they fix it, select the free shipping option (unless you already paid for Amazon Prime), which gets you free shipping regardless of the weight. Hopefully you won't need it faster than that.

UPDATE PART 2: This exact same item is also available elsewhere on Amazon's site under the ASIN of B000H2D8VO. If you search for this gem with that ASIN, instead of the one that led you here, you'll find that buying it at that part of the site, through Musician's Friend, will use the more accurate weight, which will save you a bundle in shipping costs unless you are willing to use Amazon's free shipping option at this part of the website. So, the idea is, if you don't care how long it takes to come you could order from Amazon's internal stock, but if you want it sooner, then order it there, not here

UPDATE 2a: Amazon has finally put a more accurate weight into their system, eliminating the problem I described above.

My mother is 86 years old and she is half way deaf.

I have gone through at least a dozen products, headphones

connected directly to her TV for her to listen to the TV.

NONE of the headphones met with her satisfaction. The sound

quality of the headphones just did not meet her needs.

I finally realized that NO single headphone sound system

would be adequate for her individual circumstance.

It finally occurred to me that I needed a method to

customize the sound of any headset she was listening to.

I ordered the Behringer equalizer and put it into place.

Man it has done the job. After adjusting it to Mom's hearing

she is happier listening to TV than she has in years.

Hope this helps with ANYONE in a similar position.

I purchased this unit because I couldn't locate an acceptably affordable decent quality line-level preamplifier to pair up with my QSC GX5 amplifier. The Behringer documentaton merely describes this unit's gain control as an input "level control". I was pleased to discover that it can indeed be setup to perform as a master gain (volume) control via the associated IN/OUT "control elements activation" button. The additional gain allows me to drive my GSC GX5 power amplifier to it's maximum rated output. It's compact size and portability is also desirable for mobile applications. It can simply be tossed into a gear bag.

One does not require a PhD in Quantum Physics to operate it and it's not as cluttered as a Boeing 747's flight console. Nor can it bend time and space.

This is a sufficiently capable common-sense device that allows the average user to achieve desirable sonic results. The unit's documentation states that the device's rated Signal-to-Noise Ratio is greater than 95 decibels. With both my QSC GX5 amplifier and the Behringer FBQ800 set to maximum gain, the system noise is barely audible with my ear very near the speaker's horn tweeter.

My only caveat with this device is that it's not available in black. The silver finish does accentuate it's cheesy appearance.

If you are familiar with equalizers this one should be pretty self-explanatory. Works well, small size means it fits into almost any audio setup. Many amplified speakers lack EQ or tone controls, probably because the manufacturers assume they will be connected to a computer and therefore the customer can just use software EQ. But although we sometimes do feed computer audio to our amplified speakers, we also feed the output from conventional audio components to them, in which case EQ is needed.

This is a great little equalizer for the money. I have it connected between two Behringer B212D powered speakers and a Dell lap top. I use it for DJ-less music at our club.

When I first set it up, there was a noticable hum but it was due to a ground loop I had and not the fault of the equalizer...

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Nice crisp sound and very comfortable to wear. Ear buds come with a tangle free cord a carrying case and three different sizes of earplugs, so if one size won't fit one of the others surely will. Compared to other in ear headphones they are a little bulky but after wearing for a while you won't even notice.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program These Onkyo in ear headphones provide great sound and help to cancel out exterior noise. Excellent quality. I really appreciated the fact that the headphones came with three different sized earplugs, so that I could "custom fit" the plugs to fit my ears. I love the color too. Recommended!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a very upscale seat of earbuds. The construction makes them the most comfortable I've ever worn (I tend to get ear infections easily, and find most earbuds irritating). Listened to an audio drama and got very nice sound on the background effects as well as the spoken lines.

Only thing I would add: read the instructions and don't go with an earbud size that's too small, or it WILL affect sound. I tried to go with small ones, and the sound was awfully tinny. When I switched to larger buds (which were still very comfortable), the sound was fine.

Comes with three sizes of earbuds and a very nice, compact case.

Are they worth the price? It's probably up to sound experts to really make that decision, but if you're looking for a more upscale earbud, check these out.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Onkyo, a trusted name in the world of HiFi audio has released a unique pair of earphones. What stands out immediately is the tangle-free flat cable. To be honest at first I thought the cable was rather flimsy and had a cheap feeling to it, but I now recognize this material is becoming more common, and is actually quite durable, and cutting edge. The three things that matter most for me with earphones is sound quality, comfort, and durability.

Sound quality These earphones pack a good punch. If you normally don't go above $40 for a pair of earphones then you will be pleasantly blown away. If you normally spend around the $200 range or more then you'll find these earphones to be just ok. If your priority is bass, you will not be disappointed. I actually love crisp highs, as much as low end is important and the I E-FC300s don't seem to really shine in the high end. The mid is fine, and the bass is great, but finding that perfect mix for headphones in this price range is not an easy feat. Just as a reference, my favorite earphones around this price range are JVC Victor In-ear Stereo Headphones | HP-FX500 (Japan import).

Comfort In the discussion of earphones comfort must be factored in, especially for prolonged use. For inner-ear phones these are a bit on the heavy side, though the clever design manages to spread the weight a bit. These don't feel like invisible featherweight ear buds that many people are accustomed to, so realize you'll feel a presence in each ear when wearing these. However, if you're going to go jogging or any significant movement, one plus for these headphones is the super-light cable, as with many other inner earphones I've dealt with, the phones start to come out of the ears slowly with every slight bounce / tug of the cable as you run or even walk. If your primary use for headphones is during exercise, you still may prefer a lighter set.

UPDATE: Now that I've had some more time with these headphones I have to confess that I don't find them very comfortable over time. Although I didn't try the smallest size rubber cups, I use medium size on every other pair I've had, and don't see how that would make a difference, but basically there seems to be more pressure in my ears when I put them in with a tight seal, than with other headphones, which leads to a general, light soreness over prolonged use, and I'm not even talking about over an hour. This brings my review to a 3.5 stars, but since that can't be done manually I'll just leave it at 4.

Durability This is always a difficult category to review shortly after purchase, but these seem to be well built, and the innovative cable looks like it may very well mark the end of the infamous crackle/signal loss you get from so many headphones at the neck of the connector where the cable bends. Only time will tell though.

Overall, these are decent headphones, but if you want a wider soundscape and crisper highs, or the kind of canal phones where you don't even feel them at all or want to lay your ear against a pillow while still listening, you may need to look elsewhere.

By the way, I don't know if it is just my computer screen, but the photo on Amazon makes the "violet" pair look more blue than purple.

Want Onkyo IE-FC300(V) In-Ear Headphones, Violet Discount?

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Onkyo I E-FC300(V) In-Ear Headphones is a really nice in-ear headphones. It generates very clear sound and very powerful bass especially compared with many in-ear headphones out there. I've been using many wireless stereo headphones lately and now realize why company still makes wired headphones especially at these price range (i.e. they have way better bass than their wireless counterpart. I'm not sure if it is bluetooth technology limitation, battery limitation, or other reasons). This Onkyo headphone is a bit bulky for an in-ear headphone and I am not 100% sure why they made the cable detachable (and not using twist method connect/tighten) as it got accidentally disconnected one time after about 15 minutes of use and the speaker part fell to the ground (thankfully it didn't break), though it is also possible that it is my fault for not attaching it correctly at the first place (it also warn not to disconnect too often). Anyway, make sure you connect them tightly before using this headphones and enjoy the deep bass and crispness of the music.

This was admittedly an upgrade from an audio component (an ASUS Xonar Essence STX sound card) that sat within a few of our audio-dedicated computer workstations, and although the Xonar Essence STX was a very, very competent piece of audio gear for its form factor, there was absolutely no comparison with respect to the sheer control, clarity, extension and unblemished sound of the Benchmark DAC1 USB.

We auditioned the Benchmark DAC1 USB next to an Ayre Acoustics QB9, which is another phenomenal piece of equipment (both pieces have been very, very favorably reviewed in many audio magazines and online resources) but the bottom line was that our workstations needed the multiple digital inputs available to the Benchmark DAC1 USB, as well as the dual headphone outputs, none of which are available Ayre Acoustics QB9.

We gave both the Benchmark DAC1 USB and the Ayre Acoustics QB9 100 hours burn-in apiece using pink noise tracks and various instrumental and vocal CD tracks played through a Musical Fidelity M1 CDT transport, an older CAL Audio Delta transport, and native LG Blueray burners attached to our computer workstations, and then auditioned each unit with Have, AudioQuest and Kimber digital inputs via the USB, AES and coax inputs of the Benchmark DAC1 USB, and via the USB input of the Ayre Acoustics QB9, since the Ayer only accepts USB input. The speakers used for auditioning were Mackie HR624 MK2's and Neumann KH 120's, all connected to the DACs via AudioQuest King Cobra XLR or Kimber Hero XLR interconnects. For lower-end bass testing, we also tested both DACs using both a Velodyne MiniVee and Focal Sub6 subwoofers in conjunction with the aforementioned studio monitors.

In terms of the sonic landscape, the extension and control of the lower registers was phenomenal for both the Benchmark DAC1 USB and the Ayre Acoustics QB9, as was the breathtaking clarity of the midrange and cleanness of the upper registers. Some of us thought that the Ayre Acoustics QB9 may have had just a very slight advantage on a few occasions when it came to the decay of notes in certain source material, but this was not uniformly agreed by everyone, and even by those who thought it to be an advantage, there were times when their vote shifted to the Benchmark DAC1 USB when other source materials were played.

In the end, however (at least for us) the slightly greater openness sometimes heard in the Ayre Acoustics QB9 was nowhere near enough incentive to rationalize the Ayre Acoustics QB9 costing more than twice as much as the Benchmark DAC1 USB. In addition, the Benchmark DAC1 USB had a notably smaller footprint, which made it ideal for the workstations where it was to be deployed. The footprint wasn't the ultimate deciding factor by any real means, but we thought it worth noting for those who may be looking for a USB-connected DAC for their home setups.

In all, the Benchmark DAC1 USB is a giant killer representative of the best that digital audio has to offer. Very highly recommended.

We produce a daily 5-hour music mix for over 100 public radio stations around the USA (undercurrentsradio.net). Day and night, the DAC1 USB, patched directly into ADAM A7 self-powered monitors, is the direct pathway between our digital music library and our ears. We can't rave enough about how great this unit sounds ~ everything is so sonically delicious it's hard to tear ourselves away!

Build quality, reliability, flexibility, esthetics, they too are all top-notch. The only glitch we've encountered is the volume pot has degraded, making a little bit of static when it's adjusted. Benchmark has a 5-year warranty and they've offered to replace the defective part and swap a loaner unit while its in the shop, all with a prepaid shipping container. That's service!

There's another point I'd like to mention, one not often discussed but critical to us. Over the years we've used a range of popular semi-pro and professional audio gear for critical monitoring and had to deal with the annoying habit they all shared of choking when jumping between playback on iTunes, YouTube, SoundCloud and our own library of .wav and lossless files. The clock would get stuck on one and not seamlessly handle the next, so frequent reboots were the norm. The Benchmark DAC1 has changed that forever because the clock is so rock-solid that it never ever loses synch on playback. That, plus the obvious 20% bump in audio quality, makes it worth every penny.

I have just purchased my USB1 DAC....What an improvement over my creative titanium hd sound card. This unit has a good amount of flexibility, and the Head phone amp is quite good especially for hi z headphones. USB1 Even gives you a choice of Headphone jacks . Light but well designed unit, My biggest pro is that the unit has a very transparent output and does not color your music.

Also you can increase the volume by removing the jumpers (10db pad) and then give the headphone amp tremendous volume for your cans. XLR out can also be increased by moving the head jumpers to a different position.

I received these today. I have several blue-tooth devices so it seemed a perfect fit. Seldom have I been so impressed by a piece of electronic gear. I already had a set of headphones for my iPhone/iPad and the sound quality is really good. But these headphones put my old ones to shame. They are that terrific.

As an old rock n' roller my tunes are quite important to me. I have a large selection of 60s & 70s music. These headphones rank as probably the best I've ever used bar none. And I grew up working in theatre and with rock bands that had commercial equipment costing tons of money. Nothing I've ever used had better audio quality than these phones.

But here's the clincher for me: in the middle of testing these out my sister called. Off went the music and Barbara was in my ear, clear and plenty loud and she could hear me fine. At the end of the call, the play button started the Eagles again.

Whatever you're looking for in a set of phones for your devices, you owe it to yourself to check these out.

They're worth every penny.

Before I start my review, I want to say thank you very much to Mike at Meelectronics for his excellent service and followup.

I have tried this headphone for 3 weeks and I'm loving everything about it. The battery life on it is very good as I can keep listening to music without having to charge it for a day and that's pretty impressive. I had two Bluetooth headphones and they usually last about 3-4 hours so comparing this to the Matrix, that's a big difference. Also, it has a neat function where it would auto turn off itself when it notices I'm not listening to any music or not using it at all.

The ear buds is another thing I'm surprised at because I wouldn't expect them to be that soft. Judging from the picture of the Matrix, I thought it would be slightly hard but it was soft like a marshmallow. However, you would need to take some time to position them well on your ears as you may feel uncomfortable if you were to listen or wear them for a long time. Since your ears may not be entirely inside the area so it would be good idea to properly put them on before using it.

The sound quality is awesome on these headphones and it has good volume of sound coming from it where I do not need to increase the volume that high to listen to it when I walk to my lectures. However, once awhile when I walk with them the sound would stutter for a few seconds so I'm not sure if it's my phone or headphone. The stuttering is not a big issue since it is only a few seconds and not frequent enough. Moreover, It wouldn't stutter if I were to sit down at one spot and listen to it so you may experience this if you were to walk with them.

I have no problems with connecting two phones on this headphone where one phone is for calls whereas the other for music.

Overall, if you're looking for a good Bluetooth headphone with good battery and sound then this is it for you. This headphone is worth every penny and you won't regret it.

These are great multi-purpose headphones. I'm using them to listen to music and instead of ear buds or an in-the-ear bluetooth device for talking on the phone. Today I used them for my radio show and the sound was great, clear, full range and more than loud enough. But to get a second opinion, I asked my son to check them out. He's a sound engineer who has multiple listings on IMDB for movies and network TV shows he does the sound for. He complimented them too.

The sound is excellent, the battery life decent and the controls easy to use and understand.

I also like that the remaining battery charge is shown on my iPhone.

I got these headphones for 89 and at that price they are an incredible deal. They are light and pretty comfortable. They dont press on ears too hard like some do. They do sound good and will sound great to the average consumer. For bluetooth headphones i guess they are even a good deal at the full price considering bigger brands are charging for the same quality. I have used beats wireless jabra revo wireless and these compare to them even though the others are over $200. I have also used the new beats studios and bowers and wilkins p5 both of which are $300. The $300 ones probably sound better and built better but if your not an audiophile save your money cause the difference is not that much in sound quality. Plus having no wires is a great thing and if the battery dies you can use a regular aux cable and use them as wired headphones which is a big plus to most people. I was surprised at the lightness of the headphones too, they are very lightweight.

Im doing this review with no pants on! Tell the world my story

This Squier is actually a well-made guitar, and sounds pretty good. I'm a casual guitar player though, maybe 2 hours a week. I'm guessing a serious player, in a band or otherwise, may quickly want to move on to a better model. But for the price this is great for the occasional player or 15 year old.

Mine also came with a nice guitar bag, tuner, strap and amp. The amp is really quite loud, and sounds good to my ears. Comes with cord, headphone and aux inputs. I've even played my ipod through it once or twice.

I really have zero complaints with it all. I got everything in excellent shape at a garage sale for twenty dollars. That's what you call "right place at the right time".

Overall I cant complain I knew i was buying a cheap guitar and apm. To make it sound better take amp and throw it in the trash. Buy a better tube amp and get a multi effects pedal. The guitar is worth the money your paying but the amp is pretty bad. ( thats not in a good way ). With the proper amp and effects you can play anything you want. This guitar and amp out of the box has its limits. If you think your gonna play Van Halen Eruption forget it. but with the right amp and effects you can.

I recommend the Sony ECM-DS70P stereo microphone.

This mic is great to use with the Sony Mini disc recorders such as MZ-N707 and up. Although it is referred as uni directional, I have found the stereo separation very good.

As you are recording yourself with other singers for example you distinctly hear the vocal separation or instrument separation on playback so, then you can get an interesting separated sound by adjusting the mike direction.

So, even though the L and R mics are close together they must be facing in different directions to get that quality of separation.

There probably are better mikes, and I am sure they cost more money. I am critical of what sound goes in my ears, and this is excellent for my needs, which is self recording, recording voice lessons, live performances etc.

I hope this review was helpful.

I bought this mic for two reasons:

1. It is stereo not mono

2. I just bought a Kodak Zi8 Digital Camcorder

Although the sound is surprisingly good on the Zi8, it has an external Stereo mic jack. The Sony ECM-DS70P is highly regarded and works perfectly with the Zi8. There is a notable difference in the sound when I use the Sony mic. You can clearly hear the stereo sound difference when recording in a 360 degree environment (like outside in a playground or other event). I have also used it for voice recording and it does a nice job there as well.

(2008 HOLIDAY TEAM)This unit is not as compatible as compared to others. But, what it loses in compatibility it makes up for in features. It's wonderfully small and works great with Sony MD recorders. True, it isn't as versitile as the battery models, but it's a lot smaller too. If you just want to do MD recording, this is the unit for you.

The sound quality is sufficiently clear when recording, but is not sensitive enough to satisfy the most demanding users such as musicians or professional reporters. You need a relatively strong source.

Here's one MD player recorder that I know has the microphone jack and works great with this microphone:

'Sony MZ-NF810CK Net MD MiniDisc Recorder with Car Kit'

However, don't be fooled. Not every MD player has the appropriate Mic Jack. Double Check the technical documentation to make sure. Units that definitely do not have it are:

'Sony MZ-NE410 High Speed Net MD Walkman Recorder'

Notice the deceptive "Recorder" moniker in the product name. Don't be fooled! Very few MD "recorders" actually record with a microphone!

Not sure about these:

'Sony MZ-NF610 High Speed Net MD Walkman Recorder'

'Sony MZ-N510CK NetMD Walkman/Recorder with Car Kit'

'Sony MZ-N505 Net MD Walkman Player/Recorder'

Do your research before purchasing any MD player. All in all, this is a good value and the ideal microphone for those wanting to record onto a Sony MD.

Want Sony ECM-DS70P Electret Condenser Stereo Microphone Discount?

I am a musician and own my own studio in Nashville, TN. I have thousands of dollars worth of microphones. This product is what it is and for the money is a brilliant little microphone. Even though I have a 250 track digital recording studio, sometimes I want to record without doing a major "studio" setup. I bought a Boss Micro BR and this mic to go with it. This is a fantastic combination. The sound is definitely studio quality. I did a location recording of a simple trumpet and piano. Rather than drag my whole set up I took the Micro BR and this mic and made a very fine sounding recording. I got a pair of windscreens that were made for a telephone headset. I put one over each side of this mic and never take them off. This mic does have its limitations and does not sound as good as my $650 studio vocal mic for sure, but that's not what it is intended for. This is for portability with clear crisp sound. With a Micro BR it's a phenomenal combination. I almost didn't buy the Micro BR because it only has a mono on board mic, but I ordered this mic to go with it and I'm so glad I did. This magic combo is a serious upgrade from a Zoom H2 or H4 and for less money go figure. Sony well done.

Contrary to earlier review, this microphone works GREAT with devices other than Sony; just make sure that your recording device provides plug power.
