Good, big, rich and clean sound you will get from this guitar amp. The distortion is good as well, it has a switch button for clean/distortion effect, lots of equalizers buttons and reverb effect. The 15 watt single 12 speaker would shake your house and you can use this guitar amp in small gigs.

Very nice amp. Don't let the 15 watts deceive you. This baby can pump with the bigger boys due in part to it's 12" driver. The tone is very warm and clean whether I'm using an electric guitar or classical. ( I don't use the overdrive side as I have my own effects rack ) Amp seems to be more heavier on the bass side. You can really feel it especially in a smaller room. The 3 band eq helps to even things out a bit but if you're looking for "tingling highs", you should look elsewhere. All in all, this is a good practice amp that you can even take with you to smaller gigs.

I bought this to use for practice and wanted the best sound and effects in a small cabinet. This is it! Great sound and effects. More power than I expected. Very pleased!

Want Crate FlexWave FW15R Guitar Amp Combo with Reverb, 15 Watt Single 12 Speaker Discount?

Lot's of good things to say about this little amp. Let me start with the good: $100.00 is a bargan for this one. I almost went for the fender frontman 25r(same price) which is also a very good amp, but I like the 12" speaker on the Crate. This makes a huge impact on the sound to me. Even at 15 watts this one puts out some serious volume! The Crate seems to have more bottom end, and a nice full sound to me.

This is not a modeling amp which is another thing I like about it. It's a straight-up, old school type amp with one clean channel, and one overdrive. This to me makes it much more easy to play live, and also taylor in your own sound using some pedals. The fulltone OCD sounds awesome on this! Anyway, pedals work great on this amp. With that said, I almost always stay on the clean channel and use my pedals. However, the overdrive channel is decent.

This amp is great for jamming at home, or even for a small gig. If you needed it for a bigger gig you could mic it. Like I said before it does have good volume. I mostly use it to practice at home.

Everything about this amp works great for my needs. I mostly play 70's/80's on it. i.e. The Police, The Cars, Tom Petty, stuff like that. The only thing I think Crate could have done better with this amp is the reverb. Yeah it is a real spring, but seems to be very "Thin" to me. Maybe a digital reverb would be better on this one. I have an old Crate GLX 212, and the digital reverb is awesome. Anyway, hope this review help a little.

Overall this is a good solid little amp with a punch.

I bought my previous amp (50 watt tube w/ 12" speaker) with the intention of carrying that in one hand and my guitar in the other to wherever I was going. I must have been insane. Of course it's my prime machine but needed something easier on my back for casual jamming, practicing, etc. It's always been my opinion that a bigger box gives you a bigger sound, all other thing being equal. I wanted to stick with a 12" speaker (and its bigger box). I considered tubes but conceded to myself that solid state would be lighter and I play "clean" 90% of the time anyway. I also wanted reverb, spring, if possible. I compared about a half a dozen amps, listing their attributes. I soon found that I was comparing apples and oranges at times and none seemed to entirely fill the bill. After some head scratching, I decided on the Crate. I have no regrets. The 12" speaker and "big box" were a pleasant surprise. 15 watts seemed underpowered but trusted previous reviews. I found out at a recent basement jam session that it held its own, the volume turned up only slightly past half (we're not talking "cranked", of course. Not metal. heads). I have to say that the reverb, though a spring, doesn't have the "quality" of my bigger amp (must be a shorter spring, having a quick "sprongy" sound to it. I may have rated this amp five stars otherwise.) But when the band is in full swing, it's not noticed as long it's not turned up too far. I don't use the "overdrive" channel so I can't review it. I use a Tube Screamer for my "dirt" All in all, not bad for about $100. Both weighing about 23 lbs. I can now carry my guitar and amp with comfortable balance.

I never really got to see how effective this directional mike is because the screw assembly that secures the base of the mike to my Iphone audio port fell apart almost as soon as I tried to use it. Then the unit fell onto the floor and broke into a couple of pieces. All in all, not a great deal.

The iRig is a masterpiece of simplicity. You plug it in to the iPad and it works. No tweaking anything it does exactly what it claims to do turns the ipad or iphone into a pretty authentic replication of hardware guitar effects pedals. Its probably best suited for practice and songwriting, particularly if your song writing leans heavily on guitar tones. Plug in your guitar, slip on a set of headphones and start improvising in no time you'll find yourself tweaking sounds that are amazing. It requires a purchase of the Amplitube software for around 15 bucks so you're talking about a 50 dollar investment at the end of the day. But if you want to have the capability of sitting in your living room and wailing without disturbing anyone around then this is it.

Buy IK Multimedia AmpliTube iRig Adapter for iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad Now

This is just an analog adapter for the built-in analog mic on the iPhone and iPad and consequently sounds awful. Thin and noisy and overpriced for what it does. Mine sits in the drawer unused. The Apogee Jam by contrast is a dedicated analog to digital converter that delivers better, more solid, much less noisy guitar sound to compatible apps. Amplitube software on the iOS is stuck using the poor quality iRig interface. Others more modern iOS architecture software like GarageBand can use the Apogee Jam. Check the software you want to use is compatible with the interface you intend to purchase.

Great little device to listen to your guitar or bass guitar through your headphones or speakers. Clearer than the amp I own for the bass guitar!!!

Having used Line 6 devices like Guitar Port and Pod XT Live, I can definitely say this is a great product!! Sound quality is amazing! I love the practicality of just carrying around a pair of (decent) headsets and a small guitar cable. The ability to jam along your favorite tracks really makes this product a must-have.

I tried this device with an iPod Touch with two different guitars and two different sets of headphones. I had to crank up the volume to 10 in both the Amplitube software and on the guitars to get marginally acceptable volume. The volume limit on the iPod is turned off as recommended by the manufacturer.

Updated review: I am upgrading my review from 1 to 4 stars. After surfing various forums online, I learned of additional variables you have to adjust to get decent volume and reduce noise. First and foremost, use the physical volume buttons on the side of the iPod/iPhone/iPad to turn the volume up to the max. Second, go into Setup in the Amplitube software and turn the "Level In" down (to reduce noise) and turn the "Level Out" up (to increase volume). After doing this, I found I could back off the guitar and/or software amp volume and still get a decent sound. Exact settings will vary with your guitar. You'll just have to keep tweaking to get the optimal sound. Once things are tweaked, the system works fine. I'm giving four stars instead of five because of inadequate instructions in the package.

I just got this practice pad used from a seller here on amazon; it came with two small external foot switches which was an unexpected bonus, all for $47 shipped which I think is a great price. I'm new to drumming and also own and Alesis DM6 full kit which I use with Addictive drummer VST on my computer. I bought this practice pad to take with me on a 1 month work assignment and I think it will work great; I'm using it on 4-AA batteries. I've found that a lot of the beginner practicing I do on my DM6 kit only requires the bass and a single drum (I usually use the hi-hat too), I can do this with the e-practice pad and the plug-in foot pedals.

I see some people complaining about "no sound", Alesis could have done a better job explaining but in the manual it does say the little speaker is for the metronome only. The drum sounds are only produced on the headphone output jack which is ok with me.

The build quality seems good to me, I've only had it for a short while but it was used so hopefully it will hold up. It looks similar to the build of my DM6 full kit which I've been pounding on for awhile without any issues.

This e-pad is pretty straight forward, I figured out most of the functions with in minutes without the manual. After about 5 minutes to scan the manual I understood all the features/functions. It's nice to be able to control the pad and metronome volume separately and being able to select different drums is nice to mix it up as well.

I didn't see any other comparable products from reputable brands in this price range, even at the $90 tag for a new Alesis e-pad. I did get a better price on my used unit but I think it's a good investment either way so far and would buy again.

I gave this product a five becuase it meets all my expectations and I think the price is reasonable; hopefully the product will last as well.

The first one received did not work on batteries. I had contacted Alesis to find out if there was some type of simple solution but never received a response. So I ended up returning it. Amazon did a FANTASTIC job of getting me a replacement and it was delivered the NEXT DAY. BTW, this is why I purchase from AMAZON as if something is wrong they will take care of it. Which they did for me.

The product is working fine on batteries and it's a blast to play along with it. I too also wish I could hear it from the little speaker rather than having headphone but am now used to listening via the headphones. The drum pads, although not like a real drum, are actually a little better, IMHO, than the alesis dm6 drum kit I also recently purchased. Now I can have a portable practice pad that I can travel with and actually sit in front of the TV and practice with!

Great product and again AMAZON has gone above and beyond with the replacement of the first unit I needed to return.

I picked up one of these, hoping to use it as a bass and snare add-on to my conga rig...it will do it, but I find that I enjoy it more for just shredding with stick control and speed exercises, it's kind of fun to hear a snare rather that just a rubber pad...the metronome function is good, I haven't tried the other features yet...some of the sounds are not great, but there are several decent snare sounds...the pad has a good feel in its response and the dynamic articulation works well...the pedals suck...it works well either with headphones or through my keyboard amp...glad I bought it!

The instructions included are very brief and weren't very helpful. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS PRODUCT REQUIRES AN AMP OR EARPHONES.(I had to read reviews online to fully understand that.) No sound will come out of it otherwise. The speaker on it is for the metronome ONLY. Lucky for us, our son has an amp that came with an electric guitar last Christmas. There is a fantastic demo video (no words) on youtube where a guy demonstrates all the sounds that can be made with the pad and the foot pedals. VERY COOL! After seeing the video, he was able to really enjoy it. We don't have a drum set. This is a great intro to drumming and for him to use to practice for his school band class. Should his interest continue, then we'll consider investing in a drum set.

If you play live and your band is constantly complaining that they can't hear themselves in the mix, this is the perfect product to solve that. Lets back up...if you are a vocalist trying to hear yourself or to do harmonies, it is almost impossible if all you have is the main mix in your phones. This device allows you to take, say, the direct feed from your vocal channel and plug it into a stereo input...for each channel. The three singers in my band each have an output that they are able to mix into the main mix. The result: "more me" since my vocals are boosted above the other vocals and instruments. And you can't believe how much better you can sing when you can actually hear yourself.

Of course, the other vocalists can hear you too, but they can mainly hear themselves, so everybody can sing their parts without getting disoriented by the other vocalists

You get two stereo inputs for all the channels, and you can mix them together, so you could theoretically have a backing track mix on A and a click track on B. If the drummer needs the click, mix heavy toward B. If you are a singer and dont need to hear the click, mix heavy toward A. Then, boost your own personal direct signal from the mix board so that your vocals stand head and shoulders above the other stuff. NOW you can hear!!!

This is one of those products I'm constantly inventing in my head that don't exist, except that this one does, and with more features and flexibility than I ever would have imagined. Plenty of volume in the headphones, nice clean sound, and you can hook up six headphones to this thing, each with individual A/B track mix and "more me" mix input. Pricey, but worth it. This thing is a game changer. As the guy who usually gets the middle David Crosby part in the harmony matrix, I no longer get confused, off pitch, or lost. Bring it on...I can sing ANYTHING now...

I have Shure SE-210's. They're not the top of the line, but their not Apple ear buds either. These things though make them sound awesome. And even better, I can't hear anything else with them on. So if you have Shure's, with small ears, these are the things to shove in your ears.

Most sleeves are too small for my ears and have a tendency to fall out. These Shure tips fit well and stay in the ear. You hardly notice they're in your ear once they've settled.

They're a good upgrade for the standard tips on many headphones. I use them with Westone UM-1's with no trouble, and they work better than the default Comply tips.

Each set lasts quite a while, but they still give you a lot of them in the package. They'll last for years.

To get a good fit, roll them between your fingers, then insert them into your ear canal. They'll expand within about 20 seconds, forming a comfortable, snug fit.

I saved up for a time before finally purchasing Shure headphones in the $400 range and they were so worth it. There is no way I could go back to a cheaper headset. The earbuds do wear and have to replaced about 1-2 times a year. The medium size fits me perfectly and expands to block out all outside noise. You MUST be careful when wearing these due to the inability to hear things going on around you. Fantastic product and inexpensive as well.

Let me preface this review by giving you some background about my experience. I have been an Audio Engineer for 10+ years and a drummer for much longer. I have owned the Shure E3c in ears for over 5 years and they have never fit my ears with any of the sleeves that came with them because of my small ear holes. I was very disappointed at first when I could not use these in ears easily. After trying all of the sleeves for this model including the triple flange type with no luck I went ahead and had custom molds made for my ears. The molds that I got were great but it took way too much time to put them in and get wire properly situated behind my head. This left my favorite shure in ear monitors to sit on the shelf unless I was using them on stage during a show or in the booth at the studio. Anyway, I am always looking for alternative sleeves to try out and never had any luck until I found these, and now my search is FINALLY OVER! These foam sleeves are excellent and take no more then 30 seconds to have them in my ears comfortably listening to my ipod. Finally I can use my shure in ears wherever I go and never have them fall out. They also provide very good sound isolation from my surroundings, almost as much as the custom molds. I can finally put my white Apple ear buds away and listen to my music the way it is supposed to be heard. I plan on purchasing many more of these so I will never have to be without them. If you, like me, have had a hard time finding comfortable sleeves for your Shure in ear's look no further. These are the best on the market all around for; ease of use, quality, comfort and most of all, audio bliss. Buy these now, you will not regret it.

I've been chasing tube tone in my tiny apartment for years now. I've tried everything from modelers, tube pedals, one-knob Class A amps, etc. and could never quite hit the sweet spot. I got wind of the Lil' Night Train and was very interested in the idea of a 2W, all-tube head. I tried it at my local guitar shop and was instantly sold.

It's the perfect little amp for people who cannot crank a 100W stack to get good tone at home. I can set the gain down low and dime the master volume for sparkly cleans that won't disturb the neighbors. Or, set the master low and crank the gain for some serious distortion. It can get pretty loud for an apartment if you start maxing out the gain and master but it's not loud enough to play over a drummer if you're thinking of using it in a band setting. Sounds great into a 1x10 cabinet but sounds epic into anything larger.

Unfortunately the headphone out is inadequate. Cleans sound good but any gain sounds very harsh and unusable even for just practicing. It can still be used as line-out into an external cab simulator for recording, which sounds good, but the output direct to headphones is not implemented well. Don't buy this amp if headphone use is one of your top needs.

Buy VOX NT2H Lil' Night Train Head Now

This is a great little amp, but you have to remember; it is just a practice amp. That said I play mainly out of a Mesa Boogie Lonestar Special. I also have 3 tube practice amps, a Jet City Picovalve, a Kustom Defender 5H, and this Lil Night Train.

The Jet City is mushy sounding, even with different tubes, but playable. The Kustom gives an awesome clean tube sound for a little amp, but I find my self practicing with the Lil Night Train. It sounds like a much bigger amp. Because there is only a single channel, you have to play with it to get the sound you want. With a Les Paul Standard, I tend to turn the treble up a little and the gain down. With a Strat, the treble goes down and the gain up.

It takes pedals really well. Put a Tubescreamer type overdrive with a little bit of gain from both the amp and the Tubescreamer and you can get a big tube amp bluesy tone at very reasonable volumes.

This little amp can sound so good that you can bring it with you to practice sessions, if you understand that for different songs (sounds) you'll have to adjust the controls.

I love the Lil' Night Train. I haven't had the chance to try it with a nice cab, but even with a bad one, it sounds amazing after it's all warmed up. I would not recommend to buy this just for headphone use; because that output is really bad quality.

This is a handy little bugger, I currently have it hooked up to a MOTU external sound card.

I can certainly get some good sounds out of it, however it would be nice if you could crank up both the volume and the gain without the signal clipping. I realize there are steps I can take to correct this, however if I wanted a more complicated setup I would not have purchased this amp. The advertising should reflect that this amp does not have a true power soak, just a headphone output.

Overall, it's good but not great. So far, it's worth it.
