read the reviews before I bought, reviews were pretty right on. Great sound, they looked a little flimsy was my first thought. I've sat on them, stepped on em, and they still work great. On flights, they keep the noise down a lot more then I thought they would. I highly recommend.

The sound is UNREAL. I am in love, and I'm definitely picky about my earbuds. It really feels like the music just surrounds you in a way.No real disappointment. I use these for outdoors and the gym.

This is a great little ear bud. I must admit I was a little hesitate to buy this ear bud, since I had never heard of the Jara. But it has been a good surprise. Good stuff for the money.

They do as they say, they cancel almost all outside noise even when music is off, and when on it is very clear and allows you to hear music and nothing else. I usually wear these when mowing my grass.

This was a recommendation from my friend, cause im.looking for high quality earphones that is not so expensive like those beats. And I love it! The sound quality is amazing! Very crisp and clear! Its like listening on a live concert! One more think I love is the shape of the earbuds that is little bend so it fits on my ear perfectly! I use it while working out and it does not fall off. I brought this Black VG Faux Leather Standing Portfolio case at the same time that I brought the Toshiba Excite Pro, Tegra 4, and it is nice. It has the stand in the back and a hand strap to hold the tablet as well. Any heat that the tablet creates is dissipated through the use of this case. One corner, the upper left side, does interfere with the volume and headset control of the tablet. You just have to move it slightly to use either. Otherwise, it is nice looking and functional.

I teach Zumba with my wife.

we used to use a Shure micphone with a mic-pack.

I don't mind so much, but my wife hated the mic-pack hanging on her tight pants, bouncing around.

This one is AWESOME!

while the audio quality is very different from the Shure, it blends more nicely to the song outputs.

Also helps that it has a Volume dial on the receiver.

Aerobics Instructors, be SURE to put on the included Sweat Cap!!

Else, you are literally dunking the unit into water every time you use it!!

(and are basically destroying the electronics inside)

Great for Zumba! Even with glasses on. :)

Oh, the receiver unit does not have little rubber feet ... i just put some anti-skid pads under it so it doesn't dance away on it's own :P

Purchased in October 2011, it stopped working in January 2012 I took it apart and cleaned the tiny microphone as best as I could and it worked again. Same thing happened in April 2012 this time, I switched out the microphone with a more robust heavy duty component no problems yet.

We use it in a Bikram Yoga (hot yoga) studio and it runs for 37.5 hours per week. Battery life is usually around 4 to 5 hours. I would buy again, but I would change out the feable microphone component with a more robust unit.

I have gone through 3 sets of the same. Since I teach kickboxing class, I could not think of using any other heaset but this. There's no other complete wireless on the market. All the rest require body pack around your waist. Samson has small unit which hangs over your one ear. I've tried, but no good for jumping. I don't know why, but nobody else came up with this type of headset. I can't teach without it.

We bought this mic system for our new fitness studio. The setup was pretty straight-forward and I got it working right away. The headset is comfortable.

If you turn the receiver on and the microphone is not turned on, horrible static comes out of the amplifier. I don't know if this is normal but it's a huge headache for our instructors to remember the proper order to turn the mic and receiver on and then have to turn them off in the reverse order.

You have to put the mic right up to your lips to get decent sound. Kind of annoying when it's a shared mic. The amp is not small, either. There is also frequent static that comes through the sound. I don't know why or where it's coming from but it breaks up the energy of a yoga class.

Another issue is the reliability. Our receiver went dead after 6 months. Amazon told me to contact the manufacturer who directed me to the service company in Arizone. When you're counting on it everyday, it's not feasible to send it for repair indefinitely so I have to purchase another one for another $300! Ug.

I've had mine for about three weeks and towards the end of my classes it shuts off due to sweat collecting in the bottom of the sweat guard and drowning the on-off and MUTE switches. Removing the sweat guard and blowing out the sweat seems to work, but that's not feasible in the middle of a class with 80 people standing there looking at you!

As far as I can tell, the sweat guard seems to cause just as many problems as it solves. Good idea, but bad design. What I've been doing and it seems to be working, is putting electrical tape over the on-off switches and then putting the sweat guard over that. It also helps prevent the sweat guard from inadvertently turning OFF the switches while you are installing it. I think drilling a small hole in the sweat guard under the switches may stop the water from collecting. I will try that and report back.

UPDATE 6-30-12: I used a paper punch and put two holes in the bottom of the Sweat Guard and it hasn't "drowned" since. All the Sweat Guard needed was a "weep hole". It's too bad the engineers at Samson couldn't have figured that out. It's an easy fix and would probably save them a lot of complaints from customers.

UPDATE 1-21-13: Just wanted to check in and say that I've been using this Mic three times a week and have not had a single problem with it shutting off since I punched two holes in the provided sweat guard. I've decided to upgrade my rating to four stars. It's a good Mic and seems to be reliable if the proper precautions are taken.

I DJ on the weekends (Mac book Pro; DJay Software)and these headphones are perfect for someone who is serious about their music but isn't a serious musician. I would not call myself a professional DJ; its more of a hobby.

They feel really sturdy and the screw-in, removable cable is an excellent touch. I wish the plastic was aluminum but that is not to say that the plastic feels cheap. All of the build materials feel like they are good build quality. I think these will outlast my old, gamer-style USB headphones.

Great headphones, especially for the sub-$60 price.

Great for single sound card computers, especially laptops. Build quality is perfect for entry level and intermediate usage. Frequent mobile/professional usage would demand a device with stronger materials to handle more jammin'. Works perfectly with XP & 7 with no driver installation needed. Be aware that this device may become the default primary sound card, but this is easily changed in OS sound setup. I use this with Virtual DJ on an ACER Aspire Laptop 2.2GHz AMD Turion CPU, 2GB DDR2 and there is absolutely no lag/delay between the cue output and the master output. Nice 10ft USB cable, 6ft stereo, both with screw locking action into headpiece.

Some have complained that the frequencies are off, but this device was designed for a DJ to cue etc, in a specific environment, not for casual listening on an mp3 or portable music player. For it's intended purpose, it works well. It does get a bit uncomfortable with extended usage, but hey, it is supposed to press on your ear to "seal" and block external sounds. Even the really expensive ones are only a little better with this. So hey, if you had any reservations about this (as I had), I hope I addressed some of them. I thank the previous 2 reviewers for their assistance as well.

I use a Macbook Pro for DJing -just recently transferred my 300G worth of music to the machine. I also use Mac's DJay program. The Gods of Musick must be on my side, because just after I finished transferring all my music to the MBPro (April 1, 2010), these headphones were released on the market! These ENTIRELY BYPASS THE NEED FOR A SOUNDCARD. DJs who do not need to plug additional things into their computer (i.e. keyboard, instruments, etc.) can use these USB Headphones to pre-cue / preview songs they're about to play without connecting separate headphones to a separate USB Soundcard (saving a person around $200). AWESOME PRODUCT for DJs who simply use their Macbook Pro (don't use anything else) to DJ! I can't believe this wasn't released sooner! A serious blessing.

ok so i bring my laptop to most parties, i wanted to dj just for fun! there was one problem i did not how to dj or what equipment i needed; that was until i found NUMARK DJ 2 GO AND NUMARK PHX USB HEADPHONES! Now i feel like a professional dj. no matter what kind of laptop you have just plug numark dj 2 go on an open usb drive and plug the numark headphones in another usb drive, open the dj program (included with the numark dj to go) and you are set! that's it, it's just that simple. The headphones work as a secondary sound card for the laptop allowing you to hear a different song from the one the laptop is playing. So if you like to dj whether you are a pro or a beginner this is a great product.

I have had these headphones for several weeks and am very impressed. The cables are of superior quality, nice and thick with shiny gold-colored (brass coated) connectors for excellent conductivity and hence really good signal-to-noise ratio. Comes with 2 cables, one for USB and one for audio (comes with the larger plug and smaller one like you use for your iPod). Also the cables screw in at the "can" so it won't pop out. They also included an extra set of ear covers and a really nice soft leather style travel bag.

A downside is if you are a smaller person these may start to feel heavy for you after awhile. I sometimes get a bit tired after several hours which is normal for having anything on your head that long.

I researched headphones for awhile and I think these are the best out there for the price you can't beat!

*I used to have a set of Bose which was a super waste of money 1 star for them!

When I was shopping for a keyboard, originally I was in the market for a MIDI controller, not a keyboard/workstation type device. I was looking for something that transmitted data only, both via USB and MIDI output, preferably with 76 or 88 keys. Having checked out several boards in this price range, I found most to be spartan and light on features. However, on a whim, I checked out the Casio WK 200, and I was very impressed by the sounds and features, especially in this price range.

I've been a musician for the last 20 years, so my immediate perception of Casio keyboards (and pretty much any stand-alone keyboard in this price range) was that they were fully-featured kid's toys. To my credit, I started playing when the electronic keyboard was no longer a synth, but not quite a workstation. In those in-between days, the quality of sound and features was seriously lacking, so much that pretty much anything with built-in speakers could be safely written off as junk, and you wouldn't even dream of using it live or in the studio.

Anyway, after making up my mind that all I needed was a board that would interface with my soft synths, I started checking out MIDI controllers. However, the lack of significant features in this price range left me somewhat unimpressed. After branching out to workstations in this price range, I found the WK-200 met my immediate feature requirements: MIDI via USB and at least 76 keys. The rest turned out to be just gravy, because this board has a few key features that really set it apart from MIDI controllers.

Firstly, I'll describe the sounds on board. The pianos are beautiful, full of character and very believable. This includes several Rhodes and Clavinet voices, with all of their pearly harshness when a full-velocity strike is performed. The chromatic percussion sets are good too, full of very musical timbres. The guitar and bass guitar sections are passable, along with the strings and brass, although there are a few stand-outs, most notably the upright bass along with the tenor and alto saxes. Beyond that, there are some decent sounding rhythms and drum sounds, but I use software to simulate drums, so this was not immediately useful to me. The "string ensemble" voices were the only thing I found to be lousy. Perhaps it's just my ear, but nothing sounds worse or more fake than that generic "string ensemble" sound, and I'll hold that against the WK 200 the exact same way I'd hold it against a Yamaha Motif. Don't get me wrong, the Motif is amazing, but I just hate the sound of "string ensembles". The brass ensembles suffer in like fashion, to a lesser extent.

As mentioned before, there were a few key features that set this board apart from a dumb MIDI controller, and one of those features is the sampling abilities of this board. This board supports numerous slots for melodic and rhythm-based samples, a feature you wouldn't even dream of finding on most MIDI controllers without even considering price points. Samples are of reasonable audio quality with 10 seconds of sample time, making this perfect for, say, accurately simulating the 8-second reel of tape on a Mellotron (each key having a tape consisting of an 8-second pre-recorded voice, which I guess would make it a very primitive example of a sampler). In any case, the sampler was a huge bonus. In addition to that, the USB MIDI functionality allows for two-way MIDI traffic, meaning you can use software to trigger the sounds on the board for cool arpeggiated effects. Speaking of, the WK 200 features a limited arpeggiator, again something you wouldn't find on a MIDI controller in this price range.

So to add it all up, factoring in the length of the board, the MIDI connectivity, the good-to-awesome soundset (at least for the bread-and-butter sounds), sampling functionality, and overall aesthetics, the WK-200 was an obvious choice for me. Even the built-in speakers are good, with strong bass response and crisp, clear highs. The board is light, the keys are full piano style (synth action though, not weighted) and the board is just a pleasure to play.

There are a few things that were not included on my ideal wish list, not the least of which a power supply, which has to be bought separately. That struck me as kind of stupid. Also, there are no pitch or mod wheels, so no joy there. I would have liked to have some kind of SD slot for expansion and data transfer, but that's not a deal-breaker for me. The one thing I seriously fault Casio for on this board is the LACK OF STANDARD MIDI INPUT/OUTPUT. All of it is done via USB, and there's not a standard MIDI jack to be seen on this board. I have keyboards that are 25 years old that have MIDI in and out. What gives?

Anyway, for the price, you can't beat this board. Don't let the fact that it's a Casio or that it's a budget-priced workstation deter you from hearing this board out. You may find it's a good fit for your studio or live sets. While this board is nice, it's not as solid as my old-school Casio CZ-5000 synthesizer (we're talking their top-of-the-line from 1985), but as they say, they don't make 'em like they used to. In any case, this keyboard is a great addition to my studio, and I'm very satisfied.

I just wanted to add my voice to the issue of the clicking keys. I have had my keyboard now for a few months. At first I did not have a problem; then after a few weeks I had a few clicking keys, and now after a few months I have seven or eight. It seems like the keys which get used the most develop this problem the fastest. It is annoying, but I can live with it seeing that the keyboard was so inexpensive. Everything else about this keyboard is wonderful. (Do make sure to get yourself a quality pedal for sustain. The one from MGear is great.) The easy to view electronic fingering display is the best tool I've ever come across to aid in teaching oneself how to play certain songs. There is a nice bank of songs in the memory, and by following the display, slowing the songs down, and pausing them along the way, you can teach yourself how to play one in a few days to a week. The best thing of all is that it shows you where to place your fingers. I now see that the correct fingering is critical in being able to reach for the right notes and allow the notes to flow easily.

I played piano on my family's old baby grand piano all my life and then I went off to college where I had no piano. I finally asked for one for my birthday and this is what my family chose for me. The sound is GREAT (the 5 main piano tones are very nice, I love 002), the keyboards have a very nice weight to them that makes them feel like a real piano (not something cheap and plasticy).

Some accessories I'd recommend for any buyers:

Headphones-This keyboard can go really loud and if you're around others, you may want to consider headphones so you can enjoy all the sound :) If you use regular stereo-mini phones (like iPod jacks), you will need a Stereo Mini Jack (1/8") to Stereo Standard Plug (1/4").

Pedal-This is an M-Audio keyboard so it works with just about any pedal but I really love this one:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00063678K

It has a very realistic feel to it; much better than those cheap plastic ones that you get from the manufacturer

Over all a great keyboard, I couldn't be happier!

I had shown my girlfriend a simple electric piano I was thinking of getting. For Xmas she got me the Casio WK-200. It has a great touch, and sounds great plugged directly into the PA mixer. I'm still learning (after decades of just being a flute player, plus a very little bit of sax), and I'm glad the default setting is grand piano. This beautiful beast can make more sounds than I'll ever even need to learn to use. It will be nice to have them available, though, further down the road. EZ

I have to laugh at the reviewers who are negatively comparing this piano to a professional grand that was used in a studio recording, or even keyboards that are priced in the $500-$1000 range. Get real! This is a 76-key instrument with the richest sound you can find for $200. It's more than adequate for a beginner to learn on, and there's no reason you couldn't use this in (at least) a semi-pro studio environment. The built-in tones are fine for practice and some of them are surprisingly good, and as a MIDI controller for virtual instruments it does everything I need.

The LCD display is quite good -every note you play gets displayed on the screen, both the physical key location and its position on the staff. There are excellent built-in lessons for newcomers, endless tones and rhythms to play with, and an array of ins and outs (headphone, mic, mp3 & USB to computer for two-way midi transmission).

Included in the box are an AC adaptor, music holder AND a pair of sheet music books. A very satisfying purchase, worth every penny.

A wonderful starter package that's easy to use, intuitive, and has great sound. It would be five stars for me if I could permanently set system settings that would remain programmed despite removal of battery. It's a hassle having to reset the date during each shoot (usb powered vs. battery powered).

While the $200 price tag is steep and higher than it was when originally introduced, this headphone probably deserves to be in whatever price bracket the Sennheiser HD25 is in... even if I happen to think both should be $50 cheaper. The O-One has very extended highs and fairly balanced frequency response throughout except for a suck-out in the lower midrange. It can get a teensy bit tinny in the treble, which is probably the result of some small frequency dips throughout the mids and treble combined with the slight upper two octaves' brightness, but it's not bad and some of the initial brightness seems to relax over time with burn-in (I hope that's not just the onset of hearing damage?). Though the bass doesn't go quite as deep as the HD280, it still seems deeper and plays more tunefully down there than the Sony and there's no wooly quality noticeable in the mids, either. The Sony might still have a touch more of upper bass kick compared to the Ortofon's prodigious bass "bloom" (like flower, not bomb).

Compared to the HD280, HD25, and Sony V6/7506, the O-One is the most "open-sounding" of the four. It is the best implementation of the Ultrasone S-Logic baffle I have heard on a closed headphone. For those wondering, this is manufactured by Ultrasone's Asian OEM but was "voiced" by Ortofon and is a unique result from prior Ultrasones. It's probably worth trying the Sony first to make sure it is not objectionable to you. If its rolled-off extreme highs, harder mid-treble, slightly less extended bass than the O-One, and more closed sound isn't an issue for you, then you can save a hundred bucks and go that route. If you're looking for closed earpad headphones or extreme durability under $200, then the HD25 is the automatic choice. I find that one doesn't handle the treble at very loud volumes quite as well as the others, though. They can get kind of splashy. The HD25 is otherwise an inoffensive, mud-free balance in overall smoothness and response, though it lacks the deepest bass, the highest highs, or the immediacy of some of the others.

It doesn't seem you can have everything in this price range. This brings me to the last point: if you're hell-bent on spending $200 on closed-back headphone, you might want to consider another $50-100 to get into the next performance bracket where you will compromise less and start achieving extension on both ends, low distortion, and good balance all in the same model.

I'm a new MacPro owner and bought the Apogee One so that I could plug in my guitar and use Garageband. I did a bunch of research on the different interfaces and picked the "One" because of the reviews and the price. I'm certainly not disappointed. This thing works way better than I expected. It is sleek, low profile, simple to hook up and sounds great. I was kind of worried that I read USB connections had more issues with latency than Firewire. That is certainly not the case here. I can detect ZERO latency. I plugged my Bose computer speakers into the One's headphone jack and my guitar sounds great. And it works great with the Mac and Garageband.

Anyway, I could ramble on but need to get back to practice. Excellent product. Thank you Apogee!

I just picked this up and WOW I play Flamenco and Classical guitar as well as rock. I have a recording studio as well. I downloaded Apogee's update for ONE and was up and running in less then 5 min. The internal "Tuned Aperture Microphone" sounds amazing as well. This will be so easy to capture ideas when on the go. I can see using this for podcasts and voice overs as well. This is the best 250.00 on pro audio gear that I have spent. I have owned Apogee's products Ensemble and Duet. I just love this ONE for me its perfect, I take my Mac Book Pro and One and I have a studio ready to go anywhere when I travel. You may need to play with the levels but this is by far the best audio interface out there in this price point.

Thanks Apogee.

I have been using Apogee hardware since the 90's in my day job so I felt pretty confident at the time of purchase. Even at that the ONE outperformed all my expectations. I bought this device for one reason, to plug it into my Macbook Pro for live audio. Little did I know I would be using it for scratch vocals and acoustic instruments on everything I do sometimes even keeping the takes in final production.

The microphone in this thing is absolutely fabulous, I can't believe how great this tiny little microphone sounds on vocals, guitar or Mandolin. I'm just completely blown away by it but there's more. The amount of latency as a USB device is also quite a surprise. I've always ruled out USB 2.0 as pretty useless for Analog to Digital Conversion because it's latency issues and I still feel the same with the exception of the ONE. The latency is manageable and is really the only USB interface I've seen that was useful.

If there were 6 stars this item would receive it. I highly recommend apogee products to anyone!

I hope this review was helpful to all who read it.

I asked my cousin, who makes music for a living. I said, "Hey cuz, I need a usb audio interface for my mac mini. These all look like toys. Should I bother spending $250 on the Apogee, or should I get the $60 M-Box?" And he, with no hesitation at all, said "Get the Apogee. Everything they make is f%$#*! top notch. It's worth the price, it'll be the only thing you need. If you have $500, drop it on the Duet." I was taken a little by surprise. He's pretty low key about things like this.

So I saved up and got the ONE. The breakout cable had a loud buzz in it, and I sent an email off to Apogee. With one email, just a single paragraph notea new functioning breakout cable showed up within the week. So aces to them for that kind of service.

The actual product? WHOOO! It records into GarageBand just fine, easy to use, crisp and clear. Very low latency, very nice conversion to digital. The few things I've recorded have a presence and roominess to them. And I'm not using great equipment.

My favorite part? All my iTunes music (mostly AIFF's, I have an ear enough to get bugged by mp3 compression) sounds completely transformed. The ONE just processes sound so well, I can hear nuance in virtually every recording, played loud or soft. It's actually made me more productive doing homework, because it's a joy to sit and type papers while listening to the music. Even if you never record, I'd say get this product if you're an audiophile. It's turning me into a bigger music geek than I was before.

THe built-in mic appears to be about as good as my old MXL 2001. It does provide a challenge that you really can't move your headphone cable while recordingthe mic is sensitive and encased in the plastic housing of the ONE. Any desktop skootching will come through loud and clear. If you're just looking to sketch ideas, though, and you haven't a large condenser mic, well you can just get this and save yourself the price of a beginner large diaphragm mic.

All in all, I'm really glad I made this choice. It looks nice, it sounds like pro-equipment, and the company stands behind it. Like my cousin told me, you simply cannot do better than this for any less than $500 for the Duet. The next price point with this level of pristine audio is $800 or more, and if you're using Mac, then you should get the device specifically made for Mac. I couldn't agree more.

So the apogee one works very well with my imac using Logic Pro. Two stars for that. However, it is extremely flimsy. The ports have the staying power of tin foil and the cables that come with it have worn out easily. I already replaced the micro usb cable once. I had the EXACT experience of the other reviewer, "John" who stated how fragile it is and that his stopped working. Mine is now out of warranty and Apogee wants me to send it with $50 to find out what's wrong, and then I would have to pay them an additional amount to fix the little princess piece of $##%$. Needless to say I am going to look somewhere else. At $249 it should last longer then the year and a half I have owned it.
