It's built like a tank. It fell about 12 feet through a ceiling once (long story) and it's fine. I mean FINE! I used to have an SWR workingman's 10 with an extension cabinet and this single 12 sounded better. I've been playing bass since 1980.Rock,country,blues and jazz fusion.I've owned ALL brands of bass amps.None better than this one.Many of the BEST bass players in the world have one of these. I picked-up my first one in the early 90's and bought two more since,and the matching extension cab.Sometimes I do have to use a large rig for some gigs but this one is behind me on all of the others.It's not made for very loud thumpin' heavy rock,but this amp can be EQ'ed in for any style.Don't let the 150 watts(with extension cab.)fool you.This is a high current amp. About double the sound output of a normal amp. With the extension cab it holds its own side by side with a 300 watt combo.I've paid thousands of dollors for pre-amps and power amps that do not sound as good as this one. I bought the eBand as a tool for practice. It is easy to use, small and packs a ton of features into a compact package. The double foot pedal from my Behringer amp plugged right in and I can use it to toggle between lead and rhythmn with one pedal and turn on the tuner with the other pedal. You can customize the pedals to do different things like turn on the record feature. It packs a lot of Boss effects in and it picks the appropriate effect with the loaded jam tracks. You can go online and find newer jam tracks and load them as well. I haven't even scratched the surface of all the things you can do but I find it is already making me a better player just with the play I've had in the last month or so. It has a very handy feature that allows you to slow down tracks so you can practice with them before playing full speed. You can also go faster than full speed if you really want a challenge. I recommend this to pretty much everybody, from novice to pro. Fender makes something very similar with jam tracks by various pros but I haven't tried it yet. I'm sure it is great as well, but what sold me is the size of the eBand. I'm just learning to play guitar. I've found that when I practice different things, using a metronome is boring. Using the JS-8 I can put on a multitude of different beats, and songs, and play the scales with those. It's an amazing gig box to play along with. For home practice, it's a no-muss-no-fuss device just plug in, spin the dial to a fun jam and PLAY. The user interface on the JS-8 hides an amazing amount of power. Underneath those few buttons is a huge multi-effect pedal board with amp modeling and a sequencer. Sounds are very good. The speakers are fine for the purpose it was designed for....but could be a little louder. Boss has scored a huge hit here highly recommended.

I've purchased two of these cables for two different beats sets. I've been using them for about a week now, and they have been great. Just as good as the original cable. They have the volume up / down, pause button, skip / repeat track, and the microphone for talking on the phone. The button set on the cable is good quality, they are easy to push and always responsive. Sound quality is spot on. Talking on the phone was clear on both sides also. I was glad I purchased the cables.Came in fast and my sons really enjoyed them on our long vacation. This is one of the two videos that I also uploaded online on Youtube, I have been using this unit for about 2 weeks on a Windows 7 64 bit Intel I7 laptop. Its made by Vestax, a company known for making solid High End DJ gear, just do a web search for all the top DJs using Vestax gear (DJ Qbert, Craze, tons of radio/ party djs) so I don't have too many doubts about its solid build quality, that being said the unit is almost completely plastic, and the faders don't have the rugged feel like some of Vestax's more expensive gear. The reason I chose this unit over the less expensive Midi-Only Controller units by Numark, Hercules, and others is because the Typhoon is currently the only one I liked in this price range with its own built in soundcard. Very Nice Machine, comes with Tractor Le software you just have to register the software after loading. I was mixing using cd's for years, this cuts out cd's skipping, not being able to enjoy a party becuz i have to listen every darn second to make sure im not skipping. Very user friendly, I actually scouted the Typhoon for about 6months prior to purchasing, I saw clips on YouTube and could not find it anywhere in the U.S.A. I ended up getting one from EBay it came from Canada. Ive had mine about 2months now and im darn near a professional. I can play any club,bar,restaurant in the city. Im from Philly so I dj quite frequently, I do bars and parties every weekend. If ur a seasoned pro like myself or a beginner and need something not too complicated but good enuf to get u goin this is definitely the machine. The only downside I would say is, its not really set up to plug a mic and go live through the house. I do it anyway and get a slight delay but i work through it. I scratch, mix, crossfade everything. Im slowly but surely learning all the scratching tricks. This is the REaldeal, and is wayyyyyy more affordable than the serato itch whatever u call it. It does the exact same thing. I am an amateur DJ, but I have tried several different qualities of equipments, from the most pro to the very cheap stuff. The Vestax Typhoon is just a perfect machine for the 99% of the time of a DJ performance. Unlike other cheap machines similar to this one(I am referring mostly to the Hercules ones), the Typhoon has the most common buttons for DJing where you need them, they are big enough, the feel when you touch them is good enough, and the jog wheel quality is just much above than all its competitors. That is important if you pretend to mix songs and adjust the tempo manually and not just relying on the software (basically, what a Dj is supposed to do). They are good enough for scratching too, and this is something that most of the similar machines cannot handle decently.

I bought a 100-watt amp prior to this one for a small music room. That amp started distorting at normal volume settings. I returned it and bought this one. The 30-watt amp sounds just as loud (to me) and has no distortion at the same volume. For family sing-alongs, I really needed extra volume for the vocals, so I use the two 1/4" inputs for microphones, and the "line in" for a separate mixer that manages my keyboard and an electric acoustic guitar. I use the 1/4" headphone jack on my mixer. It has its own volume control, so I can control the mixer volume separate from the amp volume (note that the "line in" jack on the amp does not have its own volume control, since it's really meant for chaining another amp or sound effects device). I use the "line out" jack on the amp to run all of the combined sounds into a digital recorder. I bought this amp 3 months ago and have played it in jams as well as daily practice sessions. It works beautifully with my acoustic/electric Ibanez. The 30W power is just right for small gigs and jams. It gives great sound at lower settings as well as when I crank it up. The tilt-back feature is a simple device and idea that projects the sound to the audience perfectly. It is built like a tank. The reverb and setting knobs on it are a bit crowded but once you get it set, you'll not be adjusting it anyway. The one feature that persuaded me to buy this amp, besides its affordability, great looks and features,is that it is made right here in the USA.This is a great sounding amp! There really is a difference between an amp specially designed for Acoustic Guitar and Voice VS. an amp made for Keyboard. The digital effects is awesome! Plenty of power. Nice low-end bass. Soft crisp Highs. Would highly recommend to anyone either on a budget or who just wants to sound their BEST!!!I'm just taking up guitar lessons and decided to splurge by buying this amp. I'm glad I did. The sound is natural, and it seems to be built solidly. My Taos is made in China, according to the printed description on the box in which it came. I was hoping that it was made in the USA, as someone previously posted.
