Alrighty kids, lets get down to business.

This microphone is a great deal. I'm willing to bet that you're not going to find a microphone that is going to give you this sound quality for this cheap anywhere else. Sound quality is great, definitely better than most headset microphones (and it doesn't pick up breathing noises, always a bonus)and desktop microphones in the 10-25 dollar range. It's pretty sleek looking, and it does cut out background noise pretty well. However, I will note that it is INCREDIBLY light, which isn't necessarily a negative, but that means that it does move a bit more, which means a bit more noise when you're recording if you bump it. The other thing is that it doesn't seem to sit very securely in the stand, but once again, don't be tossing it around, and it should be great. Arrived three days earlier than it was originally supposed to, so I was very impressed on that front as well.

Also no one else seemed to mention this, but this is a 3.5mm jack microphone, not a USB. I know I was wondering when I ordered it as it's not listed anywhere.

I want to thank the three customers before me who gave the excellent reviews (which prompted me to take the plunge and buy it). I cannot say enough about how good this little microphone is!

Having an Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard, which came with the SoundMax built into it (and the matching Soundmax stereo array microphone), I thought I would be able to do good voice calls on Yahoo messenger. I speak good English, yet I was constantly asked to repeat what I was saying. Having enough, I decided to look on Amazon to see what I can do for a good but cheap microphone.

Then I stumbled on this little gem, looks like a professional microphone but the cost made me think, "It has to be a gimmick, no way can it be that good for the price!".

I was so wrong, the quality approaches that of Shure professional microphones (I did a voice recording with this and the Shure and it was hard to tell the difference!). Now I am heard very well and never asked to constantly repeat myself.

It has not only made me more clear, it helped to set Audessey on my receiver to sound better than it ever has. You see, I have an Onkyo TX-SR706 receiver that comes with the calibrated microphone. You run Audessey and it sets your speaker distance, sound levels, and sets the internal EQ. I was never satisfied with the sound of the Audessey with the EQ enabled, it always sounded so much more muffled, with muddy bass, so I always kept the EQ off.

Well, I got the idea (despite what they tell you, that the mic the receiver comes with is the only one you should use to calibrate the receiver) to use this microphone to set Audessey, so I broke out my tripod, set this mic to face up to the ceiling, and started placing it in the desired positions as instructed by the instructions of Audessey. I only made 3 different readings, center, 2 feet right, 2 feet right. Then it calculated and set everything, and I sat there and fully expected it to sound horrible!

Sounded like I just got some expensive speaker upgrades! The highs, mids, and bass from the sub is perfectly balanced and the sound is amazing! I came from a Pioneer, and always felt this Onkyo was a bit of a downgrade as far as overall sound quality. This is the best I have ever heard my speakers sound, now if I shut the EQ off, it sounds far inferior!

The mic not only had good quality, it also has an on/off switch on it so you can mute it quickly if needs be. The stand is very sturdy and nicely weighted.

If you need a mic for Yahoo, setting receivers, Skype, MMO games, whatever you would need a mic for...BUY THIS! It is that simple. I still cannot believe I paid the amount I did for this, if I paid $60.00 for this mic I would still feel I got a good deal.

Build Quality

Overall, it's really well put together for the price point. I was expecting much worse, and was pleasantly surprised. The stand is plastic and unweighted, however the mic doesn't tip over easily. On the bottom are non-slip rubber feet, which helps. The holder swivels up and down, and it uses a metal bolt as the axle. The mic itself has a metal basket, and has a little weight to it. There's an on-off switch on the mic itself. My only concern about the build is that the on-off switch has to be inside the split on the stand, or it'll turn your mic on with a slight bump if in the off position. With it in that split, it's difficult to turn on and off. The cord is generous in length and it is UNSHIELDED. The cord ends in a 3 terminal 3.5mm plug. It does not use a standard mic end, which is 2 terminal. It did not work with my on-board mic jack at all, but works fine with my creative labs sound card.

Performance

It's better than a Logitech desktop mic I've had for several years, with a caveat which I'll explain later. It picks up well. It's more or less omnidirectional. I have a television sitting at a 130 degree angle from the front of the mic, and it barely picks up. If I turn the mic to about 90 degrees with respect to the tv, it picks up the tv enough to upset my ventrilo friends. I can be heard clearly, with little static and having the mic positioned 3 feet from my face. The caveat to quality is the cord picks up ANY noise from ANY nearby power cords. I really mean this. The cord can NOT be anywhere near ANY cord carrying power to ANYTHING. Trying to run it behind the desk picked up a very notable hum from the monitor power supplies. Along the floor picked up from the UPS. The only way I managed to get it to not have a very loud and obnoxious hum was to run it around where it wasn't close to anything, but nor was it close to my desk.

Tweaking

If you've got a soldering iron, and access to shielded mic cable, it's really easy to replace the cable with a shielded mic cable. If you use a shielded cable, the hum vanishes. You'll be able to position it anywhere without worry about picking up the dreaded hum. Without shielding, people will think you sound like "you're talking underwater next to a power plant" if you have the cord near any power cords. With shielding, they'll comment how nice your mic is. I paid $8 to a local A/V supplier for a 6 foot shielded cable with a standard 2 terminal 3.5mm mic end, and it took me 15 minutes to desolder the old cable and solder the new one in place, including time to let the iron heat up.

Overall

Without replacing the cable on the microphone, it's very poor for desktop computer use. In a location WITHOUT power cords, it'd be good for its price, but you'd still have to worry about where the cord was laying. Adding an additional $8 replacement part for the cord, replacing the cord with a shielded mic cable, it's very very easy to make the mic wonderful for desktop use. When I was at $14 invested for the mic, I had to switch back to 'old trusty' to be heard clearly. After investing a total of $22 (mic and aftermarket shielded mic cable), it gets better reviews from my peers than another person's Shure 522, which is 5X the price. Would I purchase it again? In a heartbeat, with a shielded mic cable in the same order.

Ratings

Quality: Stand 9/10, Mic 10/10, Cable 1/10; Average 6.6/10

Performance: As Delivered, 2/10; Modded, 10/10

How it arrived in the box, I can only give it 2 stars. With a simple cable replacement, it'd get 5 stars, but that's not what is delivered.

At first, i don't really wanna buy it because there is no customer's rating and review, but i m really glad that i did. What happen was i bought another microphone here, that works not so great, and the price was way higher. That is how i decided to give this product a shot, and luckily, it works way better than expected. i no longer has to shout to record voice or talk on skype. The stand that comes with it is helpful, it looks really cute and mini, but the voice is crystal clear and loud. Looking at the price, i m really surprise of the quality of the voice that comes out, even at high pitch it works fine, if anyone is looking for a microphone for pc, i really hope u don't miss it.

I took a chance on this Mic because I was tired of screaming into my headset while playing StarCraft II. Not only is it stylish but it is probably one of the best Mics I have owned. I have it sitting a good foot and 1/2 from me and it picks up my normal speaking voice and it is crystal clear to everyone else. Definitely a product strait out of China, there was no english on the box. Great product though.

I have been looking for a decent headphone amplifier. Something to practice with while watching tv or that won't bother my wife while she's watching tv. Actually I've gotten a couple different brands, then I tried one of the Vox Amplug (the "metal" one). It has a great tone, only one, but it's a great one! Lol! Anyway, I was hoping this would be even easier and might have a little more range. Sadly it is much more like other headphone amps, sterile, generic tone. It may have something to do with the headphones themselves, since I use a good quality set of earbuds with the Amplug. These have sat in my cupboard since i got them.

After readying a lot of mixed reviews on this product, I decided to give them a shot anyways, and I can honestly say they are just awesome. I played my Silvertone Session Master (Dimebucker Bridge, EMG H4A Neck) and it sounded beautiful, it really blew me away after reading people saying that the tone was generic and sterile I just felt like they where complete tone snobs. Then I plugged in my baby Dean Dime from Hell ML(crappy stock pickups) and it sounded god awful fizzy ugly and it just plain hurt. I LOVE the headphones themselves though very comfortable and very nice sounding defiantly worth 100 bucks. Plus it can get some neat tones out of these things, to a clean crunchy plexi sound to a somewhat high gain Judas Priest, also the louder you have them the better it sounds of course, the bass response comes out way better when turned up. Im in love, can take my guitar anywhere and can practice anywhere now. Would buy em again.

I'd happily lay out another $100 for these if they had workable slider controls on them. Pokey little dial wheels with microscopic labels are impossible to manage on your head. Otherwise, they're freakin' awesome; great sound.

I really like my VOX AmphoneLead. The effects are cool, the headphone sound quality is very good. The AMPHONES are extremely useful when you are hit with the sudden urge to jam or just practice late at night. I'm sure my family and neighbors are grateful.

PROS: nice sound quality, easy to use-just plug directly into your guitar jack, multiple amp effects.

CONS: controls are somewhat annoying to access, especially if you are tweaking the effects to your liking. I suggest writing down settings that work for you so that you can set them up faster should you make changes. The headphones are somewhat delicate and use cheap plastic, but if you are careful you should not have any problems.

Overall, they serve their purpose by providing a private environment in which to practice. I think the concept is a great idea.

I love these amp headphones. I live in a townhouse and have a newborn so I can't turn up my amps and jam. With work, a long commute and baby, the only time I have to play is late at night. I had been keeping my noise to myself by plugging headphones into an old Behringer V-amp. When it is late at night that rig could be too complicated to set up with too many wires and cords laying around. The Vox Amphone Lead sounds just as good as the setup I was using but eliminates all the cords except the output cable. The headphones are battery powered so you are not tied down to one location. You are free to play anywhere you please. You can even use the headphones for your phone or MP3 player.

My only complaint is that they don't feel very durable. The Vox Amphones are very light weight, which is a good feeling sitting on my head, but make feel like they are overly delicate. Overall, these are a great sounding product at a good price. The Vox Amphones lived up to my expecations.

Better than the cheap ones you get at convenient stores. The 90 degree bend keeps the tension off of the connector and the cheaper ones break within a week or two while trying to use them for exactly what they were meant to do. Worth the $$.

I have several cables that I keep in my car for various devices. A mini USB for my GPS, a mico USB for my phone, and an auxiliary cable for playing music. I bought this item to cut down on some of the clutter in my console. I've had it for a couple of months and, so far, it works very well. The area where I sit my phone in the car is a bit small so the angled jacks on both ends was especially convenient. This is a great product. It would be great if it was a little cheaper, but I definitely don't regret my purchase.

I only used this twice before it broke. For as much more money as this costs, you'd think it would be of better quality. The one I had that was only ten cents worked for almost a year.

I bought the Shuffle Sport Case mostly to provide some protection from the elements when running outdoors or on the beach. For this goal, it works great. The seal it provides around the Shuffle is tight, and I can't see rain or sand getting into it without some serious effort. That said, the case is heavier than I expected. That's not to say that it's particularly heavy, but when switching from using the Shuffle with the included lanyard to the Sport Case, there's a noticiable increase in weight. This isn't a deal-breaker, as it still serves its purpose, but I don't think I'll be using the Sport Case full time like I expected due to this issue. Part of the appeal of the Shuffle is that it is so light that you don't even know you've got it on. That isn't true when it's in the Sport Case.

With the rainy weather that Southern California has been having lately, I wouldn't have dared to bring my tunes along when I run. That was until I got an iPod Shuffle and the Sport Case. I usually run with my Shuffle attached to my arm with the Armband accessory. But with all the rain we've been having, that wouldn't have worked out that well. I picked up the Sport Case and have taken it on a few rainy runs. Let me say that my Shuffle goes through even some heavy downpours staying nice and dry. There is a rubber gasket sealing the two halves together. There is even a gasket in the headphone jack port. The seals are pretty tight it will keep out most water (unless you try to go swimming or something!). The unit even comes with a short headphone cord extension if, like mine, your normal headphone jack is a right-angle jack (like the extension that comes with the Sony MDR-EX71).

If your like me and have to do activities in the rain sometimes, and really want to listen to your favorite tunes, pick up a Shuffle along with this handy little Sport Case.

I had dropped my iPod shuffle in the sink. If I had not just purchased the fancy and stylish sports case, I would've been doomed to the fate of blaming the dirty dishes for the desctruction of my iPod shuffle. The ads don't lie, it seriously water-proofs your ipod shuffle. Sure, because the controls are still available it gets a TEENSY wet, but not enough to make it sputter out into un-usable land. A great accesorie, get it before its too late.

Want Apple iPod Sport Case for shuffle 1st Generation Discount?

The iPod Shuffle Sport Case is a great looking case with a very good protection for sports environments, expecially working out, both at the gym as well as outdoors.

This is a great case, it adds a nice touch of orange color as a frame to your suffle, with a tough transparent cover to the device (it does not scratch that often). The case is very tightly closed so that it does not allow water to get in (not necessarily to do scuba, but it does handle light to mid rain and sweating very well).

It is very light and I find it a much better solution for jogging, walking an trekking than arm bands. The headphone cables are not moving in front of you and your hands and arms have freedom of movement.

I have owned mine for about 10 months now and it hasn't got any major scratches ( and I have not babysitted it) , works wonderfully and has served me well while I walk fast in the road or at the treadmill.

I LOVE my shuffle for running, because unlike any other device I have run with, it doesn't skip and it's small and lightweight. However, I HATE earbuds. Every time I try to run with the earbuds that Apple provides they fall out and I don't really like the feeling of having something in my ear. So I prefer to use my own headphones when using the shuffle. When I bought this case, I was looking for something to protect my shuffle. It does seem to be heavier than the shuffle itself, but it is essentially water-tight and makes me feel more comfortable running with my shuffle, especially in the rain. The added weight in my mind is even a plus, because it helps to anchor the shuffle when you are running. If you choose to use your own headphones with the shuffle, the case comes with an extender cable to allow you to plug in your own headphones. When I was running last week, the extender cable shorted and I was only able to hear music out of my left ear. Thinking it may be the headphones, I plugged in a separate set of headphones with the same results. Then I plugged the headphones into my shuffle and could hear out of both ears. Deciding it was the extender cable, I took the case to the Apple Store and they gave me a new one even though I didn't have a receipt (Apple's customer service is the reason for my giving this product four stars instead of three), but the extender cable is still flimsy and I can't help but feel that it will only be a short time until this shorts out as well. Considering Apple doesn't sell these cables separately, I would recommend that you either use the earbuds that come with the shuffle to use this product (or find a set of headphones that will fit in the small hole designed for the headset) or take VERY good care of your extender cable. I only had my case for a few weeks before it broke.

I've had the ION Discover DJ for about a week now and it's been a great MIDI DJ controller so far. It's highly usable with just the right amount of controls for basic mixing and scratching. For being mostly plastic, the device feels well built with the knobs and buttons twisting/clicking solidly. The crossfader has a metal stem with a removable cap(!), and cuts smoothly.

The jogs are awesomely functional. They are touch sensitive (i can hold the unit upside down and activate the platters). They are also as smooth as butter, and amazingly sensitive when it comes to their scratch performance.

The current packed-in software (Mixvibes Cross LE) is great for beginners/intermediate djs, even some pros might prefer it. But the great thing about the Discover DJ is that it's also a MIDI device that can be used with any dj software that supports a midi controller (NI Traktor, Virtual DJ, Mixxx, DJay, and others), with a bit of mapping.

As either a beginner system or a backup for a pro, i think the unit is awesome for the price. no bells and whistles, just the basics with great jog wheels. I let my nieces and nephews scratch away on it, not worrying about it getting damaged. I plan on attaching guitar strap locks to it, so i can hang it around my neck and play it like a guitar.

Also for best results with audio performance, one should use an external audio interface with the Discover DJ (it doesn't include one it's only a controller). If one has to use their computer's onboard audio, download ASIO4all (Windows only) for best performance.

I started djing in 2002, I learned on Gemini Turntables and a Numark Mixer. Now I'm on the Technique Mk1200 Turntables and Pioneer DJM 600. Using M-Audio Torq Connectiv as my time coded computer djing system. Just saying this so that people know that I'm no amature to being a Disk Jockey. Now in days, most clubs, lounges or bars have a dj there. Nine times out of ten they are now using time coded software. Or they are using an "LE" or "Pro" midi djing software. Now in the new digital era alot of people are intrested in knowing the basics without having to break the bank. That is where the Discover Dj comes in!

Simplicity is the key to learning how to dj. No matter what equipment you learn on. But what Ion has done, is made a controller that is basic. But has even a few features that Intermidiate to Advanced Disk Jockeys can appreciate. But even with all the the good comes some flaws....

(The Discover DJ/Icue3 Controller)

It's made of plastic, it's ok quality. But if stepped on or not being cared for

the right way. It can break, and that would be money wasted. No matter what

you think of the product.

The Jog Wheels are a nice size and work great for what it's worth. Like to be honast, you're still not getting a real time CDJ or Vinyl feel out of these things. But with alittle improvising. They are really good for a controller of this quality.

The Dynamics are bad, I hear no real true changes in Treble or Bass. To me those controls are important to have when djing. especially if you want to have smooth mixes. Also the fact their isn't channels is kinda upsetting. But most people, especially if you don't dj on a regular won't mind. But to me it is kinda important especially if you're marketing this item to dj's and even the beginners.

The Cross Fader is decent, if you're a turntablist or a dj that likes to do a few stabs. This fader would take sometime getting use to. For the beginners, this is a nice cross fader to start honing your skills on.

The Sync button is a big help, and I think is one of the coolest features on this controller. Or you could do it manually and use the pitch buttons. But since the pitch is controlled with buttons instead of channel style like most other controllers. Pressing the Sync button is a big help. Especially for the beginners.

The Cue button, you can set up start up points in songs.

The REV button, to reverse the track faster instead of using the jog wheels. But you can also start the track back if you cued it. So a handy, but no so needed feature

The Play/Pause button does just that..Play and Pause the track.

The Scratch Button, joggles the scratching feature of the Jog Wheels. When off, you could use the wheels to speed up a song or slow it down while the song is going to beat match.

The A and B button just loads the tracks to either channel

(The Mix Vibes Cross LE Software)

It's a basic midi based, dj midi controller program. Created for the Discover Dj by Mix Vibes Lab in France. This program is already premapped for the Discover DJ/ICue3. It has the basic features that most Dj's use in digital djing today. You can create loops, record, and even sync this program with your Windows or Itunes Library. It's a nice basic LE program. Works fine, just make sure your computer is up to par before running the program. That way you get the best out of it.

I gave this item 3 out of five stars for being a good midi controller. But with flaws that make it not quite a 5 out of 5 midi device. Perfect for beginners, and still can be fun for the Intermidiate to Advanced Disk Jockey. Perfect for small get togethers, but not really a club, bar, or lounge quality midi controller. For $100 dollars it's a cool controller to have. Although you can find it for far less than that price here on Amazon or Ebay. Don't expect to much from this controller or you're going to build yourself up to be let down. But if you know what you're getting out of it. I would say get this and enjoy it.

First off I want to say if you have been DJing for a long time this isn't for you. This product is GREAT for people that what to know what its like to DJ but your no a pro or you don't want to put up hundreds til you know your really interested. It has 2 jog wheels for scratching and such, a basic mixer and it comes with a software that is easy to use and yet you can make some series mixes on it. It is more then you would ever expect out of a $90 product!.

Want ION Discover DJ USB DJ controller for Mac and PC Discount?

It works great with Itunes music, and it loads music pretty quickly, but you cant mix without the headphones, otherwise EVERYBODY will hear what you're trying to do...in that case it needs to have the headphone jack and it DOES NOT! it has a preview window but EVERYONE can hear what you re doing..in other words it lacks a very important part. I just dont understand why they wouldnt put one in....to get you to buy extra crap??? i dunno...so its a pretty good TOY for kids...not really if you want to get into the DJ biz. you have been warned...

Buy Fom Amazon Now

First off, let me be clear...THERE IS NO DIGITAL DEVICE ON THE MARKET THAT CAN SUCCESSFULLY (closely enough) SIMULATE VHYNIL SCRATHING FOR UNDER 400 DOLLARS...With that being said. Take this product as it is. I have been DJ'ing for about 6 years and I can say that it doesnt even come close to the control or precision that comes through vhynil but this is a very capable device.

One thing to understand is that if you are looking for something to scratch on, you need Jog Wheels that are as large as you can find, and you need something that is touch sensitive rather than motion sensitive even though they arent as sensitive as other products in the 3-5 hundred dollar range. This product has both of those. DONT however expect to become a master DJ with these...and dont get cocky because you used the software to to automix someting, real DJing is not something that can be learned through something like this but it will help you find your feel especially if you are looking to get into digital mixing rather than vhynil.

For 80 Bucks this is a decent product. It is great for both beginners and pro's that want something cheap to use as a travel MIDI. Only thing is its really flimsy. The knobs are nowhere near as durable as they should be and I am actually purchasing this again because after 5 months of use...(3-5 times a week for practice) Mine is in pretty poor condition. If you get it, you wont waste your money no matter how skilled you are, rookies wouldnt know the difference anyway.

I bought this adapter so my children could both plug their headphones into a single music player and listen to their music during trips, (it's one way to keep their singing in unison with each other.) Unfortunately this splitter didn't work properly. When one or both headphones are plugged in, only certain frequencies of the music are audible in fact on one song it sounds like a somewhat muffled instrumental the vocal track is all but silent whereas the instruments are almost normal. Very weird. Of course, I did check all the connections, try different headphones, and even plug the device into another unit, but I couldn't get the thing to work. Without the adapter, the same tracks played fine.

Of course, I may have received a one in a thousand dud. I will not be returning it due to prohibitive costs of returning costing more than buying another. When I do buy another splitter adapter soon though, I'll try my luck with a different brand.

I purchased the Gemini DJX-03 headphones after searching all through amazon for headphones that weren't too expensive, but were sturdy. When I purchased these headphones, I was really excited: Good quality sound, comfortable, the cord was nice and long, and on top of that they were adjustable. FANTASTIC, even. Unfortunately in a mere week of use I put the headphones on and found that the right side was dead. Almost completely useless on the right side, although it is still functioning on the left. I was very frustrated because of how quickly they seemed to die, and I took very good care of them.

I wanted some decent headphones to use at work and these pinch my head like I'm in a vice after an hour. They sound good, but that doesn't do me much good when I can't bear to wear the things.

They're cheap, and more importantly they work! Bass is actually quite good, which was my major concern. They also have that flip-around style earcup for easy monitoring--all in all, you'd be hard-pressed to find better over-ear/over-top-of-head-style headphones for 9 bucks shipped. Like most cheapies, they kind hurt the ears when worn for any somewhat extended period of time (hour or more, normally, although sometimes you feel the burn in 30 minutes). The treble/midrange could be a little clearer too (not hte greatest sound separation), but it's hard to fault a product that performs so well at such a low price.

I highly recommend them--just can't in good faith give more than 4 stars due to the fact that it's an admittedly cheap product and can hurt your ears.

I didn't like this cause the cord was about 3 feet shorter than my other headphones, an AKG K240 which I really like, the cord became damaged on that one and this one was about 1/10th the price, so I just went with this one. Besides the cord length, this one has cords coming out of both left and right side which is slightly annoying (the K240 only had it coming from 1 side), and the K240 audio was rated really high quality. But I'm no professional audiophile, and this gemini set sounded just fine to me. So I'll take a star off for the minor annoyances I listed above, but overall it's a good set especially since it's about 1/10th the price of my other headphones but still sound good. As far as the headphones seeming too tight comment I saw on here, I have kind of a pretty big head and they weren't too tight. I can see if you have a super sized head they might be too tight, but for normal sized they should be fine, if you adjust the earpieces all the way down it should feel looser for most people.

I use these headphones with a small (Ematic) video player. I watch educational lectures. These headphones perform very well and are easily "driven" by the voltage supplied by the player.
