I bought this adapter so my children could both plug their headphones into a single music player and listen to their music during trips, (it's one way to keep their singing in unison with each other.) Unfortunately this splitter didn't work properly. When one or both headphones are plugged in, only certain frequencies of the music are audible in fact on one song it sounds like a somewhat muffled instrumental the vocal track is all but silent whereas the instruments are almost normal. Very weird. Of course, I did check all the connections, try different headphones, and even plug the device into another unit, but I couldn't get the thing to work. Without the adapter, the same tracks played fine.
Of course, I may have received a one in a thousand dud. I will not be returning it due to prohibitive costs of returning costing more than buying another. When I do buy another splitter adapter soon though, I'll try my luck with a different brand.I like this product, needed a splitter for my home studio. It was shipped fast and and had a very reasonable price
