While this cable would work great if it was plugged in and left alone, I unfortunately needed to use it as a microphone extension for a few video shoots. After about six or so times I used it (and a week after I received it) both channels no longer worked. This cable is not meant for any sort of medium or light duty work, because of it's cheap construction. If you plug it in to forget about it, then I'm sure it'll do fine. I purchased this item so that I could run the cable along the wall and have the speakers on a credenza behind my desk. Product appears to be of good quality, and of course the length of it is great, however the one that I received, doesn't appear to be the exact size that it should be. Inside of my laptops audio port, it wiggles around so much that it causes a ton of interference with the sound coming out. I plugged in several different sources to compare how loose it was to make sure it wasn't just my audio port, and they all fit quite snugly.

This is a nice, inexpensive amp sim. I have tried it through headphones, a Danelectro mini amp and an Egnater Tweaker. Sounds great, very lively, with a distortion character that's sort of like a Plexi, sort of like the old MXR Distortion pedals. Couldn't get into true high gain territory by itself playing single coils, but this unit does get very loud, and with the right settings can just be used as a clean boost/micro amp, or to push a dirty amp into overdrive. After reading many of the reviews this sounded like it would be pretty handy. I really didn't have a lot of expectations. I first opened the package , installed the batteries and plugged in. I first noticed the sound level was all over the place. Then while playing with it I heard something break and found that the 1/4" input jack had broken away from the unit leaving it just hanging by the wires. There is a single small screw holding the plastiic cover of the jack to the unit. This had broken away from the screw so the only way to repair it was to superglue it. That seems to be holding ok but it still has the issue with the volume level. I realize that I did not have to shell out much coin for it so I have resolved to accept that you do get what you pay for. It reminds me of the cheap novelty junk that you would get out of a vending machine or claw crane game.

I use this just as the picture shows. When I need to go record someone somewhere other than my studio, the MacBookPro and the StudioLive 16.4.2 work well with this setup. Its nice having the rack built on for headphone amps, compressor and preamp even though the pre's in the 16.4.2 are pretty transparent. This is a great case, solid as a rock. It fits the PreSonus 16.4.2 like a glove. It's heavy, but well built so that's an easy trade off for me. The only drawback is the sliding shelf gets in the way of the gooseneck lamp. But I find that minor. Great fast shipment from the seller also.got this to protect a mixer and a dual cd unit, looks great. Good construction, high quality materials used to make this. Everything fit right in and box seals fast and easy. Only little problem I have with it is the placement of the handles or the type of handles, with the weight of the box plus the equipment in it makes it a bit hard to move. But overall it's a solid case.

I bought this violin six months ago just to see if I could learn to play, never touched a violin before and I'm almost 45 yrs old. The sound is good but not great. Putting it though a guitar affects box (cost almost as much as the violin!) helps a lot, you can really tweak the sound to whatever you want. I have actually learned to play, only lessons being online youtube lessons and student study books. You can really learn to play and have fun at home with this one. I changed to 'better' strings but I can't tell a difference, save your money for your next violin. I bought a 15W practice amp, wish I'd gotten one a little bigger but it is ok. I also like that you can plug in headphones and practice in 'silent' mode. My only complaint is that the electronic module is pretty cheap and the headphone jack is now intermittant and takes some fiddling to get it to work now but a minor fault. Also, buy a cheap tuner so you can get it tuned correctly. If it is out of tune even slightly it will be impossible to learn the fingerings. If you already play violin you pobably won't be satisfied with this, but for a test run at electric violin this one will get you started. One more thing it looks really 'cool' as the kids say. Have fun.I was pleased with the nice sound and durable construction of this instrument. The electronics aren't really high quality. Comes with a good case which is more than adequate for the instrument and an "ok" bow (I prefer to use a different one). With the power off, it still sounds like a very heavily muted violin which might be adequate for practice for some players.I bought one of these a few months ago. The thing you need to understand about cecilio instruments is they do not arrive in a playable state. The bridge was wrong, the fingerboard was not radiused and relief was wrong. Pegs were over lubricated. You might as well throw the bow away. The case is a pretty piece of styrofoam.

I use this as a pre-amp to plug my guitar into garage band on my mac. I tend to keep the settings pretty neutral and use the effects in garage band. I like the price and the fact that I can use to jam through a PA if so desired. I think the effects will be more useful in that setting. When i bought it, i needed a preamp but it is more than a preamp, it is a very complete box. You can use like a guitar modeler with several sound options when changing the positions of the switches in the front panel (drive, treble, bass and level controls and amp, mod and mic switches, i dont use the ground switch) and create several sounds like Jazz, distortion, clean, rock, metal, blues. You can activate the effects with the foot switch that is the weak element of the box, it feels fragile. If you use the box like a recording box, connect it with a XLR female cable to a mixing console or a computer. When you need a preamp or effects pedal it is a suitable selection.
