Jimmy Rainsford recommended these headphones to me, he is a fellow drummer, so i bought them, at a good price, $114. I picked super saving shipping method and they actually showed up 4 days early! Things I like about the headphones are, comfortable, look great, ability to plug into an amp or ipod nano ect, there is a red and black lining in the inside of the headphones to point out which is left and right side, When playing drums with them i could easily hear good quality music and my drums at the same time. "the drums werent loud i mean they were just right, i could hear both in good sync "5/5" i hope that makes sense, also they werent squeezing the heck out of my brain after a couple hours so comfort is 5/5. things i dont like, its made of plastic and it worries me i could break them but im sure they will be fine as i take care of my stuff. of course being made of plastic also means they are light so thats a positive.

While being made of plastic keeps the weight down and cost down, i prefer a more durable looking/ working element to hold them together. plastic is just "eh" in my eyes. but i still rated 5/5 overall. but i do recommend these headphones if you are a musician looking for a good cheap pair of headphones! :D

quality: 4/5

comfort: 5/5

Sound Quality: 5/5

No batteries is a great thing

Able to plug into a computer, ipod, amp, is also a great ability with these headphones.

These headphones are wonderful! They block out sound completely when music is playing (which is exactly what I need) and fit comfortably. The only downfall is that they aren't cordless. The cord is nice and long though so distance isn't a problem even if they're plugged into a TV.

The Mic is great. Amazing sound quality. However, the headphones that come with it are no where near as nice as the picture. They are cheap and flimsy, don't get the package.

Buy Blue Microphones Yeti USB Condenser Plug-and-Play Microphone + The Pop Universal Pop Filter & JVC F Now

Just received my Yeti. Absolutely nothing on it, or in the instructions indicate anything about it being THX certified. In fact it doesn't even have the label as in the picture. Until I get a chance to drill a hole in the base I will either have to duct tap the Pop filter onto the mic or not use it since it wont clamp anywhere onto the mic base despite it being from Blue as is the mic. The headphones are wimpy but then they aren't why I was getting the package. The sound seems find though it is cumbersome to unplug the mic to hear what the recordings sound like from the computer. So in short I am a bit disappointed in what arrived compared to what was promised. I guess you can chalk it up to caveat emptor.

My order was shipped without the POP filter and I have been waiting for just about 2 extra weeks now for my POP filter to arrive since they said it was "backordered". In my opinion, DON'T SELL SOMETHING IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE COMPLETE PACKAGE IN STOCK!! The headphones and earbuds look NOTHING like what is pictured! I understand COBY is not the best brand but if you are going to include it, at least make sure it is better than a $7 Newegg item!! The headphones and earbuds pictured are the CV215, NOT the ones you get! Either way, they are junk!

Really awesome Mic, I just got it, and the stereo head phones really work nicely, and so does the filter, freakin awesome!!!. The Mic has an INCREDIBLE sound!!!, satisfies all my recording needs, I'm amazed......there is no way you'll be able to beat the sound on this mic, bundle, anywhere else, I'm serious, buy this Bundle!!, and also, the mic feels sturdy, heavy, quality and everything is just exactly what I wanted!!!

I love this microphone. The only reason I bought this set is I had been looking at the Yeti plus Blue pop filter and the availability of the filter changed from immediate to 2-3 weeks. I saw this set and the price was a little lower than the mic and filter alone, so I went for it.

What I received instead of the Blue Microphones pop filter was an entirely different brand filter (one which is much cheaper and has a large black round filter with a base that attaches to the pole of a mic/light stand or boom arm. It works just fine so I won't bother returning it, but buyer beware you may not receive the products advertised.

I did receive the Yeti microphone as advertised and the headphone set (not that I'll ever use that cheap headphone set it will likely collect dust for a while before finally finding a home in the trash).

As for the microphone itself: GREAT! It produces great sound (I use it for voice) and I can record directly into iMovie or Final Cut Pro X, or I can record in Garage Band using audio effects, save and then import the audio file into iMovie or Final Cut. It required no setup, just plug and play. You can turn the mic on/off using the big mute button right on the front. There is also volume control knob just below the mute button. It has an extra long cord which could be useful for those who don't sit right in front of the computer to record.

All in all, I would purchase this product package again, but if you really want the pop filter from Blue Microphones and not some other brand, be aware that you may have to deal with amazon returns to get the correct filter. I deducted 2 points for receiving the incorrect (cheaper) filter.

I tried some tests to see if there was any change in the sound output in my headphones when using the extension. I want to say there is a very slight change in the sound (ever so slightly muffled), but if it does exist it's not definitively recognizable; I'd have to run a blind experiment to know for sure.

The connections it makes on both ends are firm connections; there was no wiggle experienced with anything I've used it with so far. In fact, the female end seems to really snap in tightly with headphone jacks, which is great because it won't just slip out with a small accidental yank on the cord.

The only thing to note is that the cable I received is 5ft long, not 6ft, so keep that in mind should you require precise measurements (I did). I contacted the seller about this and they responded quickly (they said they made a mistake in labeling the product page) and were able to refund my order the same day.

Even with the error, they were prompt and courteous so I would do business with them again!

When I first got this cable, I was convinced it was garbage. Horrible feedback or almost no sound, constantly twisting and adjusting.

Whoops, I didn't have the female end seated all the way on the male end of my speakers. You really have to press hard til it clicks into place. Then it works perfectly. Now I can swap from headphones to speakers without having to crawl around behind my PC.

I recently built a new desktop computer and needed one for my earphone. The hole at the female end is tight, which is great, because earlier I had some too-loose-to-plug-in experience with other Stereo extension cable. Getting this one made me quite happy. It works great! Later I placed another order of 2 for my parents too.

The 3.5 mm male-to-female extension cable works as expected. I had a sucky steroe system whose cable was just 1 feet and wanted to connect it to my source which was at 3 feet distance. I looked up this product on Amazon & purchased it. The order was delivered on-time & I started using it the same evening. It works as advertised. I don't notice any significant change in the sounds the quality has remained the same.

Now, remember, I don't have a Bose or any such high-value sound system just something off the rack at Sears.

I bought this amp a year ago, or so. I found it to be very well made, not cheap in any way; lots of features and flexibility. Even though this is a keyboard amp, I bought it for use with mic, acoustic guitar, and bass. It handles all well, with no distortion. So far, I have not used this for any gigs, just for home practicing. The only reservation I have is that, for the advertised 300 watts, it doesn't seem all that loud. But for small venues that I typically play, it should be be adequate. I have another small Behringer practice amp that has proven to be a real workhorse. I have had no disappointments with Behringer products so far.

Buy Behringer Ultratone K3000FX Keyboard Amplifier - (New) Now

I was immediately impressed by the sound of this amp, but I wanted to give it a decent workout before writing my review. At this point I've been using it daily for two months and I'm happy to report that nothing has changed my initial opinion.

I'm not a professional musician, just an amateur hack who plays for his own enjoyment and relaxation. However I did play in a band as a teenager and have owned several amps, from a Gibson GSS-100 to a Leslie 145. For a while I've been playing my Nord C1 and Casio WK-8000 through a Marshall Lead 12 which just wasn't cutting it, hence the K3000FX purchase.

Features: I won't dwell too much on these because this information can be found all over the web. It has four stereo inputs, a seven band equalizer and an array of 100 effects. The effects sound fine but most keyboards have similar ones built-in. The equalizer allows a good range of tonal control. Some reviewers complain that there should be different EQ controls for each input. While this would be nice, at this price you can't have everything.

The amp is advertised to be 300 watts, but nothing in the specifications states how that rating was obtained. Another reviewer said that the 300 watt rating comes from four 75 watt amps (one for each stereo input) therefore full power is only available if you use all four channels. Even the 75 watt per-input rating is most likely peak, making the RMS rating roughly 37 watts x 4. This is not to say that the amp doesn't have punch as it most certainly does. The 15" bass speaker is solid with no buzzing. Some people have complained of crackling from the horn tweeter but I've heard none (and I've listened for it). I have the stereo output from the Nord into inputs 1L & 2L and it sounds great, better than when I plug them into 1L & 1R. That tends to substantiate the claim of four individual amps.

Build quality appears to be fine. The controls work smoothly and everything is rock solid. I've had no issues of any kind and just because I only play at home doesn't mean I don't crank it up! It's heavy, but a decent keyboard amp is going to be. The only slight misstep on Behringer's part is that the 100 included effects aren't described anywhere in the instruction manual. You can go the Behringer's web site and download a list but why they don't include one is anyone's guess.

I bought mine on sale for just under $300 shipped. At that price this is a steal. Even at the `normal' street price of about $350.00 I don't think you can do better.

I bought this amp over at Guitarcenter in December 2007. I have had it for over a year now and it has not dissapointed me. It has been used as a bass amp, keyboard amp, floor monitor for vocals and instruments. It's been kicked, fiddled with and abused. It's been used regularly for a year now and it's been a great amp with no problems at all!

I totally recommend it. It was $360.00 last year at Guitar Center, so the price has dropped.....GET IT!

I'll probably get another one next year so I can use them as a PA system

When I first picked up guitar, I inherited a really trashy Gorilla brand amp that was intended for keyboard and bass. Fortunately the music store down the road from me was having a clearance sale, and I picked up the Roland Cube-15 for about $150.

As a practice amp, the Cube-15 is good. It's got a good clean tone on it, and the distortion is also okay, although not great. It has four different settings Distortion, Overdrive, Metal and Metal Stack. You can of course change the gain level as well. Of those, I found the Metal Stack setting to be the best for me (I mostly play hard rock/ grunge type music). But, I'd recommend getting a distortion pedal for convenience sakes.

Overall, if you can get this amp cheap, then go for it. It's great as a practice amp, it's small and light weight, easily portable. However, if you're looking for something more serious or something to gig with or record with then you might want to look a little more.

Buy Roland CUBE15X Guitar Amp Combo Now

This was the first amp I ever bought. It is extremely basic, but with just enough options to keep you occupied for a while if you're a beginner. Of course you'll eventually grow out of it (I did after a little short of a year) but in the long run you'll only be set back about $100 and compared to most moderately priced amp, it could be a good investment if you're not even sure if you want to continue guitar.

However, there is an awkward step after growing out of this amp if you're on a budget. I now wish I had purchased the Roland 20X initially. It comes with way more built in effects, and if your knowledge on pedals is limited (especially since the 20X actually has an input for them), the 20X would've been an extremely useful stepping-stone/learning tool.

Overall, get this amp if you're unsure about the whole guitar thing, or if you picked up your first guitar on a midnight run to Walmart. It is not a bad product at all; its just very limited. Get the 20X if you're more confident in your interest. Its only about $50-60 more.

I've already played two venues(I play R&B, Blues, Gospel, and Rock) with this baby and it did not disappoint. It's as good as it gets. Sweet amp, sweet price.

Want Roland CUBE15X Guitar Amp Combo Discount?

I just want to say that while the "overdrive" settings on the amp are about what you'd expect on a $100 amp, I love the "Fender" setting it just nails the Fender glassy, slightly OD-ed combo sound at nice, low volume. From there the switch moves on to I think "Brit Combo", (Vox) "Classic Stack" "Meta" etc.... those are "eh..." but if you play roots, country, blues, anything not needing a huge amount of distortion, this is your widget. Plug your Ipod-backing tracks into the back and jam....

This karaoke machine is everything my 5 and 7 years olds could want. However, I find one advertised feature missing and some simple standard features lacking.

iLive as a CD+G karaoke player:

This product does a great job playing CDs or CD+G. It comes with one mic and has an input for a second. It has device controls and a remote control. These controls include a volume, mic volume, and singer volume. The singer volume allows one to turn down the singing on a regular CD (or iPod or any other audio input). The iLive plays music on a mono speaker. There are also audio and video outputs to play music and lyrics on a TV. One disappointment was that the mic did not come through the audio out; it can only be heard through the iLive itself. Another big disappointment is that the iLive has a single mono speaker. It's a great portable player that can run on AC power or batteries, but stereo was created in the 1960s and is a pretty standard feature these days. When I played a couple songs with lyrics on my TV, some of the video was blotchy. That could be attributed to the CD+G disc quality or the iLive player quality.

As a cheap, portable karaoke player I'd give the iLive 3 stars.

iLive as an iPod player:

It plays music and photos or video (through the video output) from the iPod. At this time, iPods do not support a karaoke format. This is an iPod shortcoming, not an iLive shortcoming. What you can do is play your iPod music, turn down the vocals, and sing along on the mic without lyrics. My kids really enjoy this as they have a great song selection to choose from. However, the same shortcomings mono speaker, no mic through the audio output apply. One other advertised feature is actually lacking the unit does not charge the iPod. Lack of this feature makes the iLive a very poor iPod port.

Although cheap and portable, lack of iPod charging capability and false advertise lead to 2 stars as an iPod player.

Because the above functionality is combined into one unit at a low price, I give it 3 stars overall. It's great for kids, but lacking in quality and features.

Buy iLive iPod Karaoke System - IJ308W Now

I got this karaoke machine on clearance at Target a couple months ago when our Target was remodeling/reorganizing. I gave it to my 8-y-o daughter on Xmas morning.

Upon initial set up, my daughter was thrilled. We had one CD+G that was capable of displaying lyrics, a High School Musical Special Edition CD. (*NOTE* The people writing on here to complain they can't figure out how to see the words displayed probably ably don't realize a special CD+G CD is required for this function. iPod units don't have lyric display capabilities at all.) Even though there was quite a loud background buzz coming from the speaker, she was having a good time singing along. About 20 minutes later though, the microphone went kaput. Just plain stopped working for no apparent reason.

There's a 90 day warranty, so I emailed iLive/DPI about the mic not working and asked for a replacement. I got a return email requesting that I fax them my receipt. I faxed it (long distance), along with a summary of my problem. I didn't hear anything back but assumed they'd take a couple weeks to process my new mic and get it in the mail.

Since my daughter was dying to sing, I gave in and bought a generic replacement mic at Target for $10, which worked just fine. But three days later, the CD player part of the machine stopped working too. When we put in a CD, it'd spin and make a grindy sort of noise, but no songs would play and it wouldn't respond to the push of any buttons, "stop" or "pause" or "skip".

At this point, the only part of the machine that worked in originally purchased form was the iPod connection. I emailed iLive again, telling them my problems had escalated to a seriously unacceptable level for a brand new machine. I got the same email back, asking me to fax the receipt. I faxed it again (another long distance charge).

When I hadn't heard anything from iLive customer service after yet another week, I emailed a third time, asking the status of my complaint. Their response was that they checked the past two weeks of faxes and could find no faxes from me. Hm, interesting, considering I had TWO fax confirmations with their fax number sitting right in front of me! I send along a third fax (yes, still long distance).

Finally, last week I got a phone call from customer service. The girl was very nice and polite, but informed me that since I purchased the machine at a discount price it was considered sold 'as is', which constitutes the warranty null and void. I was SO angry! The girl empathetically agrees to talk to her manager, and when she comes back to the phone she acts like I'm so lucky b/c her manager has agreed to offer me a deal they never offer anybody: if I send them a $30 check, they'll send me a new machine.

Are you kidding me??!! Another $30? That's more than it costs to get a new one here at Amazon!

Bottom line: BE WARNED! The idea of this machine is cool in that it's versatile in playing CDs, iPods, and CD+G karaokes, but even when all those things work, that loud buzz persists and it is definitely aggravating after awhile. Purchasing this machine at Amazon's discount price is going to make it "as is" and nullify the warranty as far as iLive is concerned. You will be out of luck.

Yesterday I bought The Singing Machine SMG-137. It works fantastic, no buzz, and I'd highly, highly recommend it over this machine (even though it does not have iPod playing capability).

I'll never buy another iLive product again!!

I purchased this for my daughters. They love singing to radio Disney and all the other Disney songs.(High school musical, etc) I was very disapointed. It feels very cheap and it had an annoying buzz. I returned this product and purchased a more expensive Karaoke machine. I guess $50 does not buy much today. Good idea with the ipod, however when playing regular songs on ipod, lyrics do not appear on screen.

This has great sound, has pause/resume button in middle of left hearer to stop and start in middle of song. If using on/off switch, the device goes to start of last played song. It is dangerous, because I tend to keep it for too long listening to great music, so I missed few important phone calls and had to settle some arguments with my lovely wife and apologize for overusing this wonderful gadget!!

This said with oversees flights and 8 hours power autonomy there is plenty of relaxation time to fall asleep with music on a plane and no need to use up laptop computer power. In addition, the USB cable that can be used to charge the device's battery from a running desktop computer can also be used to listen to music from any computer without the SD card. The red light turns off once fully charged. I can also listen to NPR news with excellent reception. As I said, great but dangerous!

I received the item on time. All the peripherals were correctly shipped including the VFX software CD. One major issue though was that the software key listed on the software packaging was incorrect. This was reported to amazon via their help chat option with no quick solution, however an email to MixVibes promptly solved this. The software though buggy is packed with features...as advertised. There are tons of visuals and effects for any DJ who wants to be more creative with their mixes. I bought this particularly for the VFX software as I am switching to video and there is no better solution out there. In terms of product support MixVibes is great with a dedicated forum where experienced users can help new comers. They provide regular updates for the vfx software and thier other products. There is also a beta program available for testing future releases of the software.

Summary: If you're a DJ crossing over from audio into video or want exciting visual effects to spice up your mix, this is a great solution.

Pros: Great idea for for adding visuals to any DJ

: Midi controller is built sturdy and is very precise and responsive (customed built for VFX Software led backlit controls, great portability.

Cons: Frequent crashes of software version 1.2.2 [even when installed on a rig built for performance][will soon be a thing of the past with recent updates of the software version 1.3.0 in development and soon to be released

Amazon had this on sale, and I like little guitars for travel, practice, and for my kid to use, so I took the bait.

First, the good news:

It works!

The nut width is about 1.65", which is great for an adult as well as a kid.

The scale length is a bit over 21", which means very slinky tension. Easy fretting for a kid, easy bends for everyone.

It's solidly built, and I love the neck. It appears to be maple. No idea what the fretboard is made from, but it seems nice. Definitely not a plastic toy.

Now, the bad news:

Made in China (or someplace with a similar alphabet). Eh, it is what it is.

Fairly cheap Chinese tuners, but they seem to work well and the buttons are actually nice. I don't love the cheap sheet metal plates, though.

Sharp fret ends. Not the end of the world if you have a fret file.

The speaker works, but it's not hi-fi by any means. It sounds like an old AM radio, but what were you expecting, right?

But the worst thing about this guitar is the intonation and the complete lack of intonation adjustment. I may try to experiment with adding material to the bridge to change the intonation, but in the meantime, there's just about no way to play this guitar without it sounding out of tune. This will annoy some people more than others. I can probably live with it for practice and travel.

Bottom-line: it won't replace a REAL guitar, but it's not bad for the intended purpose -learning, travel, practice, goofing off. Much better than a plastic toy.

9/13/2013 update: I replaced the bridge with a hardtail (65mm wide), and now I can control intonation. This $7 replacement bridge helped a ton! It plays in tune now! Heavier gauge strings (I plan to try 11's) might also help by reducing the amount of unintentional bending when fretting.
