I bought a pair of these headphones recently, and received them undamaged. For three days they worked without a hitch, sound quality was fine, not great, not bad. Then, at night, I was listening to some music, adjusted how the headphones sat on my head, slightly. I heard a small pop, and my headphones felt a bit weird. It turns out the plastic band over my head snapped in half, leaving me with two halves of a set of headphones. So I caution anyone who is buying this product to either find something else, or make sure you have a small head.

This Numark Mixer couldn't have been any better. There is really not one thing i don't like about it.

I bought this to replace a much larger mixer for my mobile dj hobby, and i could've bought a better mixer for this price.

I love the mic input on the front, i love the mic effects that come with it, its easy to use and fits perfectly well in my rack.

I really like this mixer. Works great, It takes up less rack space than most mixers, which is a huge plus for me it allowed me to use a smaller rack. Easy to use most features. HOWEVER ... the power switch is on the back, not on top STUPID for a rack mounted item! (I sure would like to know who allowed that to happen). Also, no input available for a light. And no User Manual available, which is pretty bad considering the number of features on this mixer.

Great sounding mixer. Very steep EQ, nice overall features. The one thing that is a little off for me is the more you open the effects the lower the volume goes

I can't complain about this little micro amp. The level knob is good, the sound is really close to a regular amp, and I don't disturb anyone while practicing. It works perfectly for my guitar and I can even plug my synth into it and sounds great!, 4 out 5 stars because I wish it had more output.

I ordered this in looking for the most basic headphone amp in order to listen to my playing without any effects. I am using this with my Chapman Stick (along with a 1/4" stereo to 1/4" mono adapter), and the impedance seems to match fine. It also gives a decent amplification level at 70% of the volume knob and upward.

The unit takes a 9V battery (comes with one already installed) and it turns on when you insert your headphone connector into the jack into the top. The unit has a belt clip on the back, which is handy. The biggest plus is that it is quite small and unobtrusive.

The only negative thing is that the artwork on the front of the unit scratches off extremely easily (which is rather odd), so you should expect most of the logo to remove itself after some use. Mine showed up with lots of scratches already, but I didn't care since I realized that it is inevitable with the way that the unit was manufactured.

Great buy. Bought it to see if I wanted to learn the guitar before buying something more expensive. After deciding to commit to learning I got something bigger and now use this to amplify sound from my computer because I use headphones for my computer as well. Just one downside, I wish it had an on-off switch. I've already run the battery down once by accidentally leaving my headphones plugged in.

I just got this. I hooked my Epi Les Paul Custom up to a Bad Monkey overdrive and then ran that into this amp, which uses a 1/8" jack to pump the signal into the cans. It actually sounds pretty good and it is sturdily built. For someone who is on the road a lot and you want a lightweight practice amp, I suggest you use this since it is cheaper and less bulky than the piece of crap headphone amp that Dunlop puts out (the Guitar Ace, iirc). Hell, this would be fun to take on a private jet and jam to pass the time while you head to your destination. Too bad you can't do that on a regular airline *lol.

There is a volume knob on it to control how loud it is going into your headphones, but it also doesn't run on an adapter, just batteries. I don't know how long a battery will last yet on it, but you are now warned, I guess. Just keep in mind, though, to keep the volume rolled back so that you don't fry your ear drums since the quality of sound is comfortable enough to the ear to be deceptively loud.

Just received this item today -Amazon's shipping was spot on--great job! This is the first item of this sort I've purchased, and I love it. I'm playing bass and read an assortment of mixed reviews about similiar products. This one has a full metal casing -not cheap pot metal. It has a very tight fitting belt loop on it...I will see how that works over time. The volume knob is nice and tight, no extraneous movements in any direction; large green led so you know the unit is on. And, I like that fact that the unit turns on & off when the headphones are plugged in or unplugged, respectively. One can leave the guitar (in my case bass) plugged into it and not run down the battery. It requires a 9-volt battery (included). For me, the volume is wonderful. Between the volume on the bass and the volume on the box, it is more than I need. Another feature that I prefer about this product is that it does NOT plug directly into my instrument....that's just my preference. So, now it's off to the patio, park and other places for "silent' practice w/ the headphones. Great job electro harmonix!.

The product I received was dead out of the box. I bought it as a second microphone for a Karaoke Machine that was purchased as a Christmas Gift in December 2008. Unfortunately, the microphone does not work. I have an old XLR microphone that I plugged in just for funit worked so I know the cable and connection to the Karaoke Machine are good. Although it's a low cost, the cost of shipping it back to get it replaced, as well as two dissapointed kids, far outweighs the low price.

I had purchased this particular Nady American Microphone a couple of wks ago for the purpose of using it to record some vocals for one of musical projects. At first, I will be honest, I was a little hasitant to buy it because of the price. But with a deadline to submit this musical project, I decided to buy it.

I was pleasantly surpised after a recorded vocals using this track with an ACID PRO track that I composed. The vocals with the exception of a little noise (nothing that a noise reduction software cannot fix), the vocals turned out smooth.

I recommend this microphone for the musician and the singer who are looking for a high quality microphone without the high price. Now, I will be honest. No matter what microphone you buy, it is very important that you have the right sound card or otherwise, you will have a lot of background noise no matter what high quality microphone you purchase.

I bought my Shure earbuds a few years ago and I have enjoyed them immensely. After a while, one of the ear bud sleeves started coming loose and eventually got lost. I stopped using the earbuds and made do with cheaper head phones. Buying these earbud sleeves was a great decision. I only wish I had done it sooner since I spent over a year not using my earbuds and they put ordinary ones to shame. These are the OEM sleeves that fit the unit perfectly and are quite comfortable.

Note: these sleeves come in three different sizes. Choose the size that is right for you.

These are EXACTLY like the Westone ear tips that are originally included with that IEM. That original pair lasted me over a year but it eventually got worn down and slid off the nozzle. These are my preferential ear-tips for optimum sound quality. I absolutely hate the foam ones as IMO they absorb some of the sound frequency and get dirty real quick. These are awesome sounding once you get them seated in and sealed in the ear canal. Make sure you get the correct size for your ear canal!

What more to say, these are what they say they are. Obviously only for people with shure headphones, but if you like these headphone sleeves this is a good way to get a whole lot more. My advice is that you have some sort of case to hold the extras since the box that they come in is not really up to the task of long term storage after it's been opened.

Price paid: $620+tax (on clearance at local music store)

GENERAL IMPRESSIONS

I'm not sure exactly when this amp was made, but I bought it from Easy Music Center in Pearl City, on 28JULY2013. It was a clearance item and they would not sell just the head. It was the whole stack or nothing. Luckily, they had a bunch of Blackstar stuff so I spent a good two hours trying them all out. They had the HT-1R head and combo, the HT-5R combo, as well as some of their modeling amps and a couple of the big boy heads & cabs.

I began by playing the HT-1 through a Vox 212 with Clestion greenbacks. I was un-impressed. It was obviously deceivingly powerful, very tube-y, but just didn't light my fire. I ditched the HT-1 nearly immediately. It just wasn't my thing. Then I tried out the HT-5R combo. It was better; very rich harmonics, lots of volume, a nice toneful clean, but I still felt it sounded a little boxy; no matter where I set the ISF. For a quick PSA, the ISF is Blackstar's Infinite Shape Feature, supposedly allowing you to switch between an American sound at fully counter-clockwise, or a more British Marshally sound at fully clockwise and everything in between. Essentially it changes the character of the mids and highs; not really in any sort of linear or obvious way, but it's very intuitive and useful. For instance, if you feel your sound needs a little warmth or less harshness, adjust it clockwise. If you feel your sound lacks balls, turn it a little counter-clockwise. It's very useful for tone shaping; and remember; a little goes a long way; sure you could have it fully cranked one way or the other, but you're missing out, IMO.

Anyway, I was in love with the HT-5RS from the first note I played (happened to be using a Ibanez S series, which is most similar to my Carvin DC747). It was bright, present, amazingly responsive and glassy clean AND dirt were ear candy. I figured I must be hearing things since I had just got done playing with the HT-5R combo and experienced no such elation. These were the two amps I kept A/B-ing with identical setting until I was sure it wasn't all in my head. It wasn't. The HT-5RS is superior to the combo version, except it's slightly less portable. Even if I just use one of the cabs that come with the stack, it's still significantly sweeter of a sound than the combo.

Just for giggles, I tried out one of Blackstar's combo modeling amps. It was solid state but had a section where you could choose which output tube it emulated. I can't imagine what audience that would cater to. I couldn't even tell you what kind of tubes any of my amps have, let alone be picky enough to have a preference or really know the difference. I can tell the difference between a tube amp and solid state though, and it was immediately obvious and I cringed at the tone of this thing compared to the glorious HT-5RS I had just experienced.

FEATURES: 10/10

I won't go into all the features; just the ones that are important, IMO. There is a remarkably musical EQ section (including the ISF) for the OD channel. It's hard to find a bad tone no matter how you crank or cut the knobs. The volume and gain knobs are very interactive. It was hard to find an unusable gain setting, whether you're going for super heavy or just some bluesy tube OD. The volume knob has a very small usable range in an apartment setting though. Even as loud as 1, I started to worry I was gonna get a noise complaint. But at 0.5, I could hear my guitar acoustically louder than the amp, so I had to slightly nudge it to get a perfect usable volume. Anyway, there's a very nice master reverb built in. The clean channel just has a volume and tone knob, but again, the ranges are very musical; overall and this applies to all the EQ-type knobs on this amp you're not going to find unusable extremes at either end of the throw; the tone knob for the clean channel fully CCW kinda darkens and warms the tone, whereas fully CW it adds (or reveals?) shimmer and chime to your sound. New strings are a blast to play through this amp. The Headphone/Line out is okay; I like the live sound better than the direct signal, but I haven't tried recording with the line out yet. I'll update this review as I do so. Supposedly you can emulate either a 1x12 or a 4x12 cab... Again, I'll update when I try these out. thoroughly. There's a series effects loop. I think a parallel would have been better for this amp, given that I wouldn't want to compromise a single waveform of this thing's tone, but it's not a deal-breaker, and I'm not that tuned in to the EXACT nuances of the tone anyway. Overall, a really adjustable, musical, and practical featureset for an amp of this size.

SOUND: 11/10

My main guitar though this amp is my passive Carvin DC747 7-string. I also have an active Carvin DC800 8-string, as well as several other passive 6-strings (Epi Dot, Epi Les Paul Custom, Gibson SG, Carvin DC135).

Sound is a hard thing to describe, but I think Blackstar nailed it with their slogan: "The Sound In Your Head." It's hard to disagree. I really feel great while playing through this amp. It makes my guitars come alive. I've never had an amp that was so responsive to my guitar volume, tone, and dynamics. I feel like this amp has and will change my approach to playing guitar. I've been playing for 15 years and I thought my playing came alive when I got my Carvin V3M tube amp; that was just the beginning.

I love looping a little 4-bar phrase and vamping over it with changing dynamics and volume; again, my volume knob is now more than just a fully on/off affair. It's part of my sound and playing now. I can get a good sound for blues, jazz, rock, even metal. You won't find a super high gain, tripple-rectified sound but neck pickup sweeps still sound buttery; the open B-string and power chords rooted on the B-string sound full and rich in harmonics. I challenge you to find an unusable tone in this amp. This thing is awesome for leads, solos, open chords (on either channel), power chords, hell; even djent (don't quote me on that I don't even know what djent is. I thought it was a musical term, but all I know is that I got booted from sevenstring.org for a week for even mentioning the term... maybe it's racist?)

The only pedals I use with this amp are a vintage EHX Deluxe Memory Man analog delay and a Digitech JamMan delay looper (in the effects loop to catch the unaltered pre-amp), and a Wampler Ego compressor in front of the amp for the clean channel. I just love this amp's pure sound so much. I am somewhat tempted to take out or keep out anything not analog in my signal chain (except that would mean no looper...). I suppose I'll eventually experiment more with my Big Muff Pi, Tubescreamer, Wampler Pinnacle, and various other pedals, but for now, I'm just in love with this amp's pure sound.

RELIABILITY & DURABILITY: 8/10

I'm giving it a 8 in this section because from just an hour or two in my truck with the windows cracked parked in the shade, the tolex on the bottom of the amp started to become un-peeled. Not an amp killer, obviously, but a pretty big annoyance, especially since you can't just press it back on to make it stick again. Plus, being a tube amp, it's definitely not gonna be as durable as solid state, but I'm sure with reasonable care I'll never have any issues save for a quick re-tube some years down the road. Overall, I would be perfectly comfortable using it without a backup. Would I tour North Dakota in the middle of a sub-freezing winter leaving it in the trailer between gigs without a backup? Probably not. Maybe if it was in a good flight case... But I'll digress.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS:

I began playing guitar through whatever amp I could afford when I was 14 or 15. Back then I had no idea there was even such a thing as analog versus solid state. I played through what I could afford, what was loud enough, or what looked cool, and I never thought Marshall stacks looked cool. I was also playing crappy guitars back then so the name of my game was trying to polish a turd. Well, my tastes have evolved considerably since then. I have had countless practice amps, performance amps, solid state amps, modeling amps, stomp-boxes, modeling floor-boards, Pods, RPs, etc. I can say with perfect honesty that this amp has the sweetest OD I have ever heard, hands down. It's a sort of sound that begs you to keep playing. It's not melt-your-face high gain, but I only want that sound every now and again anyway, like when I'm trying to emulate John Petrucci or something. Besides, you can always use stomp boxes for that. This amp will satisfy for all but the most triple-rectified tones.

Where this amp really shines is in its dynamics. It lets you use the full spectrum of your guitar's volume and tone knobs.

FINDING YOUR TONE (my suggestion):

0) "Zero" the amp (Reverb off, EQ & ISF at 12 o'clock; all volumes & gains at "0").

1) Have your guitar's volume & tone wide open.

2) Set the amp to the highest gain you want using the incredibly responsive & interactive volume & gain knobs.

3) Adjust the ISF to your taste (bright enough to cut, but not too shrill in my case).

4) Fine tune your "high-gain" setting with the EQ.

5) Now that you have your maximum OD set, just roll back your volume knob for the sweetest dirty `clean.'

6) Enjoy all tones at the full range of your guitar's volume knob!

Using this method nearly marginalizes the amp's clean channel, though that's still good for pure clean.

GRIPES:

I suppose if I had any gripes, I wish the amp would have a less sensitive volume knob on the OD channel; it seems like no matter where you have the gain setting, the difference between hearing your guitar acoustically louder than the amp and having wall-rattling volume from the amp is but a microscopic increment of the volume knob. I think a good apartment practice room volume setting is somewhere between 0.5 and 1-ish (again; regardless of where the gain knob is). Kind of annoying to dial in on such a sensitive knob, but it is what it is. I also wish the EQ section and ISF knobs worked for the clean channel too, but I can fully understand why this might be undesirable, especially if you're switching channels.

Even at the current price (assuming you can't find it cheaper) BUY THIS AMP. I think this will be one of those amps that years from now are modeled on the Axe FX or Pod or whatever. This is an instant classic; don't miss out on it. I can't believe it took me so many months to buy it after seeing it the music store just begging me to play it and buy it.

Not a lot of products excite me like this one did. I'm not sure what to say that hasn't already been said on the JamHub website or by others who've reviewed the JamHub. Practicing with others through the JamHub is the same quality as listening to and practicing to an MP3 or CD. Plus there won't be any more volume wars and no chance of making your family or neighbors crazy with your music...or chaotic noise (as you learn a new song). Even better was getting very quick email responses from the nice folks at JamHub. That alone sold me on this product and this company. You can't say that about all the big companies who make music. Some can't be bothered to return calls or answer email. Buy a JamHub and you won't be disappointed. A great investment for practice or jamming with others!

We use our Tourbus in a church 3 4 times a week. We have 4 different teams of musicians that use it. The first Tourbus we bought had issues on channel 6 and it was exchanged for another. After one year 2 of the the 1/4 inputs are loose and noisy and may not even work at all. I have had to buy 1/4 to xlr adapters (w/transformers) to use the XLR inputs instead. The unit itself is not very friendly with other equipment. I take signals from the headphone outputs when possible but line outs from guitar amps and some direct boxes are very noisy. On our old system we would take the left/mono signal from a guitar pedal and send it to the board, then take the right signal and send to our headphone amp, no problem. On the Tourbus it creates a loud hum...some compatibility issue I guess. Every Sunday I spend 20+ minutes trying different combinations of adapters, cables, etc to get it to work. On the plus side JamHub has agreed to take it back under warranty and look at it. Still, that's time without a monitor system, shipping, etc. I think it's time to buy the P16 system for our digital Behringer X32 board.

The GreenRoom has a lot of really useful features to play in a group, be able to hear yourself & others at your own controllable volume.

Only downsides to this unit:

1. Power cord does not want to stay in the JamHub

2. I do not believe the unit is power-isolated. If a guitarist were to plug into the JamHub from their speaker jack on their amp, it could fry all connected electronics. No bueno, but glad it hasn't happened to me.

3. The knobs don't all have the same tension (there are a lot of knobs on here). It would be nice if some weren't looser than others to maintain a consistent level when traveling.

The first item I got had a few defects & had to be exchanged for a new unit, but the second unit worked great.

The first time we used it, was a very easy set up and within the first song I looked around and my 4 other band mates were all grinning ear to ear, pretty good testimony right there. It sounds really good. very happy with the unit. I would of gave it 5 stars easy if it wasn't for what has been already mentioned in most every review, The reason why I gave it 3 stars, because it has the worst power supply connection imaginable, the first time you plug it in you think, man this is gonna break. It's a 4 pin connector, the weakest type there is, it feels like your plugging into a sponge, loosely. I hope someone at Jamhub sees these reviews. I can't believe they would do this to a otherwise perfect product that is worth every penny you pay for it, to bad. they need to retro fit these units.

after a month I have to upgrade my review from a 3 star to 4 star. The unit is really great, great sounding. the power supply might be suspect, but if your careful it should last.

The customer service is excellent, nice guys, said if my unit had a problem they would send me another one for free immediately.

Up to 5 stars because they read this review and contacted me assuring me they have had no issues with the power supply connection and if I should ever have one a replacement was ready.

also you probally will need the headphone extension cables. we gave the ext. control pod to the drummer, everyone else has to move to the unit to adjust their mix. if you could afford it all 7 inputs can get an extension pod so everyone can sit away from the unit, but it isn't needed. keep jammin'

I just had my first band practice with my JamHub GreenRoom, and these are my initial impressions.

Pro(s):

1. It was simple to use, requiring no/minimal use of the "quick start" guide.

2. Practice went later than normal because we didn't worry about the neighbors calling the cops.

3. Once I got the hang of using the levels, then adjusting overall volume, it made for an EXCELLENT mix.

4. The effects were plenty good for practice, and good enough for recording scratch tracks.

Con(s):

1. There is no power button. I'm not sure why this bothers me, but it does.

2. The power cable connector is flimsy and the cable doesn't "seat" well. It comes out far too easily and doesn't really feel like it's in, even when it is.

3. No independent adjustment of effect level per singer. It's not a deal breaker, but I thought I should mention it (see workaround from (4) for why this came up).

4. The stereo inputs require purchasing of at least 2 mono-to-stereo adapters in my case. They're only $3 each, but out of the box, you're not ready to go (you can get around this by mic'ing an amp at low volume and using an XLR input but this defeats the silent practice promise).

5. No ability to modify volume of the singer on channel 1 independent of his guitar. Workaround would be to use an extra input for vocals, but there aren't that many inputs. The dual-knobs would have been nice here.

Verdict:

Buy one. The build quality isn't up to snuff for a $500 item so you may have to treat it with a little extra TLC. I'm just not sure that it will last due to the cheap feeling knobs and flimsy power connector. But... even with the gripes I have, I can still wholeheartedly recommend it. Our practice went smoothly, everybody got their mix, my singer LOVED that he didn't have to yell to hear himself, and I could finally hear the bass without shaking my neighbors windows.

I have to say it doesn't look the same as this new model... back when it was called KB/60.

BUT MAN has this thing paid it's dues.

13 years of use... countless rehearsals... I had a DTX 2 I got with it... now it's on a TD9.

I've loaned it to DJ friends... musician friends for MONTHS on end... it's been in storage... through a gazillion blackouts in the caribbean plus weather... and it is still going... all functions, all knobs, it HASN'T been cleaned in any way... this thing is damn nearly indistructible... if the new model is like this one, get ready for 20 years of service.

It's not a Leslie but it will work for a bedroom. A bit heavy for this old man but has a good sound. I don't know where the distortion point is as I can't turn it up loud enough and still have eardrums to tell. I keep it around 2. Compliments my Korg and UltraNova very well. I am only a closet player and 25 of my closest neighbors that hear the sound through the walls. I can make the windows rattle around 3. Haven't used channel 2 or the PA yet. Wanted a 12" speaker instead of the KB2.

Good amp for the price if you don't mind the weight.

After I purchased a digital drumset, I realized that I also had to purchase a monitor speaker to hook my drums up to. When I checked this item out at the nearest music store, I was amazed at how clear both the high and low end frequencies were!. It may have been heavy at first, but nothing that the addition of wheels to the bottom of it couldn't fix.

Product did exactly as advertised.... has a good sound and picks up well. I only wish the headword part was a little more bendable...

I ordered this as a replacement for the one we have. I have given the operators a lesson in the care and feeding of the wires that go into the connector and how fragile they can be if bent many times when stored between services. The unit works perfectly for or minister and the service.
