I received this keyboard on 2/2/11. As always, I was impressed with how quickly I received my order from Amazon.com. However, within minutes of setting up the keyboard, I noticed that two keys on the right side of the keyboard didn't work. One key simply didn't work AT ALL, and one key seemed to have a short and would only play after pressing it like 3 or 4 times in a row. Amazon is making it easy to return/exchange this keyboard, so I'm hopeful that the replacement is decent. However, after this experience and reading other reviews online of this exact problem, I am very concerned about the build quality of this keyboard, despite having heard good things over the years about Yamaha.

I'll update this review after I receive the replacement in a week or so. Hopefully I won't have to switch to another brand, but Casio maybe the next one I look at (need to keep this purchase affordable).

UPDATE: I received a replacement keyboard in record time: less than 2 days! I was at first bummed that I wouldn't be able to test the new keyboard over the weekend, but Amazon got the replacement out immediately and it was here early Friday afternoon (I had only submitted the return early Wednesday evening). Amazon did create some confusion, however, by on the one hand telling me that UPS would be picking up the defective keyboard from my house, and then e-mailing me a label and instructions for dropping the keyboard off at a local UPS center. Then UPS added to the confusion when I called to confirm the pick-up at my house: they said that one hadn't been arranged. So then I bring the keyboard to a UPS center, and then find a UPS pick-up attempt label on my door. Whatever...I got the defective keyboard to UPS and back to Amazon.

As for the keyboard: it sounds great. I've only just begun to play around with it, but the keys feel good, and the variety of quality sounds is incredible. I'll be combining this keyboard with Ableton Live Intro to create music. I spent several hours after receiving the keyboard testing the keys (I was concerned after the defective unit) and checking out the various functions. I haven't even scratched the surface yet, but I am giving the keyboard a decent rating. I'll report back if my opinion changes over time.

The headphones that were included with this package deal are ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. It's not worth my time to return them, especially since I already went through the hassle of returning the entire first keyboard package. The right channel of the headphones didn't work AT ALL right out of the package. These no-name, god-awful headphones are already in the trash. I ordered the package to get the power adapter and the stand anyway, so it's not a big lose. Still, you don't like to feel ripped off in any way.

The stand that came with this package is quite sturdy. It certainly isn't anything fancy, but it was easy to put together and it seems strong enough to last years.

Buy Yamaha YPG-235 76-Key Portable Grand Piano Premium Pack Now

I purchased this item from Amazon a few days ago. In general the keyboard should suit my needs. However, the entry for this item on Amazon's site is highly misleading. For the stand in particular, the image on top shows a single-X stand, and I almost didn't buy the package because I was afraid so flimsy a stand wouldn't support so hefty a keyboard (76 keys). However, when I read further down in the actual description (toward the bottom), it said that the package included a Yamaha PKBX2 Double X Portable Keyboard Stand, and even linked to the specific product. That struck me as an excellent deal, and I ordered it, assuming that the specifics of the product description were correct and the photo at the top was in error.

When I received the package, however, not only did it include a single-X stand rather than the promised, sturdier double-X version, but the stand wasn't even a Yamaha product -it was from a company called "World Tour".

Of course I could return the package and demand my money back, but I happen to need the keyboard now, and of course returning anything mail order is a hassle. So I am kind of stuck using this inferior stand; the keyboard is a bit unsteady on it, but I'm not Franz Liszt and it will probably be all right.

But the experience has left kind of a bad taste in my mouth with respect to Amazon. They shouldn't specify one product and then deliver an inferior one.

Not bad. I'm pretty happy with the piano. Glad I got it, and would definitely buy it again. A few complaints to consider, but keep in mind I still rated it 4 stars. I'm just being picky here.

Keys: very little resistance, therefore does not feel like a piano. Also, I have the impression the keys are narrower than piano keys. While this is not mathematically true, I still have that feeling. And when you're talking about fingers, feeling matters. I think the low resistance contributes to this. You can depress a key just by the side of your finger catching it. Now all this is not to say you can't learn. It's analogous to the difference between typing on a laptop keyboard and a full keyboard. The cogno/psycho/senso/motor skill totally translates over, you just have to get used to a different feel. The transition will seem disproportionately rough, but once you get used to it you will go back and forth fine, and practice on one will appreciate on the other.

Range: You can play pretty much everything on 71 keys. But not everything. The bottom has been more shortened than the top.

User interface: hard to make sense of, but I think I'm catching on. Intuitive is the LAST word I would use to describe it.

Accessories: On the adapter that came with the headphones, the 3.5 mm female is a little fat, so headphones fit in loosely. Stand is fine. Could use a travel case

Sound: Not terribly loud when turned all the way up.

Overall, buying a piano was out of the question. This was a great substitute.

I'm no piano player, but I am a musician. I've heard many Roland, Casios, and even other Yamahas that all cost at least twice this one. None of those piano's sound as real as this one. The piano sound isn't the only sound that impressive either. There are lots and lots of other sounds that are really top notch!

The 'graded soft touch' action is what made me want this keyboard. Unlike what some people have written, it's not adjustable. Like I said, I'm not a piano player, but I've been around musical gear my whole life. In my opinion, it feels like somewhere between a weighted key and an unweighted key. I feels more like a weighted key when you push it down, but then it feels like an unwieghted key when you let it go. Since I'm just learning how to play, it's a little hard to control the release of the key compared to pushing it. I think I'll get used to it, but at any rate it feels better than any other unweighted keyboard I've ever played with.

This thing does a lot, but unless you've got a lot of time to dedicate to it, you'll probably not be able to figure out how to make it work on your own. There's a fairly large manual that comes with it, but I'm not going to read it.

This keyboard is pretty light, but I wouldn't gig with it. It feels like something that should stay in one place. I think if you were gigging with it, you would probably regret it.

Overall, this keyboard is a good value. I'm very glad I bought it and I absulutely would buy it again.

I did a lot of research before choosing this keyboard. I looked at it at Fry's Electronics store but they only had the "demonstrator" and it was VERY, VERY used! Due to it's condition, they offered me the "killer" deal of a whopping 5% discount! I went to Amazon.com and found the exact same Yamaha model but, unlike the one at Fry's, the one from Amazon.com included a power adapter, a nice set of stereo headphones, AND a sturdy, adjustable stand...all at the same price. The value was incredible. The keyboard itself was awesome. I've played at playing the piano and various keyboards for over 50 years...always as a relaxing pastime and never devoting the time and practice needed to get "good". This Yamaha YPG-235 makes me GOOD! The built in styles, "voices", effects, etc., coupled with the ability to upload thousands of other sounds from the Internet via the built in USB port which connects it to your PC makes this the most advanced and awesome sounding instrument I've ever seen (or heard!)! I love it!!

I am profoundly deaf bilaterally. I still use a powerful hearing aid in my left ear, but the ear will eventually die, as my right ear did five years ago. Now I have a cochlear implant in my right hear and it is amazing. However, I have trouble in noisy surrounding and with hearing sounds from a distance, such as while watching a movie or television. For those situations I use a personal listening device / FM receiver with a neck loop. When I switched from the old neck loop to these NoiZfree binaural earhooks, their close proximity to the T-coils in my hearing aid and sound processor increased the amplitude and fidelity of the sound and I was able to listen, often without needing captions. Even better, I could turn down the output level on my listening system almost to minimum so that the rechargeable battery lasted nearly 8 hours instead of 3 or 4.

Now for the bad: These are advertised as "Durable design for hard and intense use" by one of more sellers. That's simply not true. My current set is less than 6 months old and I've treated them with care. The extremely fine conductors inside the cable have cracked and separated at the point where the cable enters the plug body. I have to carefully flex the cord to restore continuity so I can hear sound well enough to enjoy. And then I have to hold the cord in that configuration for an hour or two. While I may be able to repair the cord by opening it and resoldering the fine wires, I shouldn't have to, and many folks don't have the necessary dextarity and tools. So,if you decide to buy the ear-hooks, simple beware and be VERY CAREFUL how you handle them.

My teen uses this with her phone to listen to music. We get 4-5 months....sometimes, before they break. Either the wires inside break or in one case the hook came completely off. NOT for anything more than sitting still in a chair to listen to something. But good clarity when they are together.

I bought this to connect my Android phone to my car stereo so I can stream Pandora in my car. My biggest need in buying a 3.5mm male to male cable was to have it short enough that it wouldn't create a mess of cables in my car. Even though this says it's 6ft (which I could believe, if uncoiled), it's about 1ft when not stretched. This is perfect for my needs. It doesn't take up a lot of space and doesn't create cord mess.

As far as functionality, it does what it's supposed to do. Sound travels from the phone to the stereo. It sounds good. What else do you want?

This cord is awesome. Highly recommended especially for people like me who don't want long cords getting tangled all over the place.

Over the years, I've gone through several AUX cables, but they all break at the ends. This is the only one that's lasted. I've had it for about 2 years now and it shows no signs of wear. My friends now all have this cable and I even bought one for my mom for Christmas. I'd recommend this one to anyone looking to buy an AUX cable. Save yourself some money in the long run and just buy this one.

We received these earbuds as a birthday gift for our daughter who just turned 6 years old. However, we were quickly disappointed upon allowing our daughter to try them on. After opening the package, we noticed that there were two different sets of rubber tips that could be used (2 large ones and 2 small ones). The buds already come with the larger tips on them. When we noticed that the regular set didn't fit our daughter's ears we tried the smaller tips instead. However, these didn't fit the external part of her ear canal either which surprised us. We consider our daughter's ears to be normal in size for her age so our reaction was that surely these were meant for young children based on their animated character design. Upon further investigation of the package, we were completely surprised when we couldn't find any indication of an age range recommendation. Based on the lack of information provided, our best guess is that these earbuds are intended for children age 8 and up.

At this point, my wife has decided to use these until our daughter's ears grow a bit more in the next couple of years. If you're looking for Lalaloopsy headphones for your young child (under 8), look for the regular headsets instead which are available with this character design.

This cable worked great. I've run a lot of cable during my life and have learned not to waste my arm and leg buying those expensive monster cables. Salesmen will try talking you into buying the more expensive and more so called shielded cables. That's a bunch of you know what, at least in my experience. I've never had any problems with the cheaper cables. I bought this cable to hook up my imac to my hdtv to watch tv off of. This cable provides the audio just fine. Though, at first I did have a low humming noise from the speakers, which turned out to be something called a "ground loop," which is another story you may google to learn more. I solved the ground loop problem by getting a "ground loop isolator," which took care of the problem. Also, I believe that there may be some signal loss because the cable is 50ft. long, but I just have to turn my receiver or amplifier up a little more than usual, which is fine. Hope this review helps somebody out there trying to do something similar. Good luck.

These work to get my computer hooked up to my sound system in the other room or my mp3's, iPad ect. They however pick up a local radio station and I was told I should have spent the extra money for shielded wires. These will work for now though and I am happy as they work as are advertised.

I was very pleased to find this product at a good price so that I could run it alongside my 50-foot s-video cable to connect my TV to my PC in different rooms and watch Netflix and other videos in my living room. I was NOT pleased to discover, upon running the cable, that it was only 40 feet long, not the 50 feet advertised. Since I needed a 48-foot cable, this was not satisfactory. If you need a 40-foot cable, it's great at the price, but if you need a 50-foot cable, look elsewhere.

I purchased this cable for my classroom. My surround sound panel is in the back of my Music room, but everything I use to play music and show videos is in the front. School technicians said they wouldn't give me a cable or run wire to the front of the room, so this cable was the cheapest solution. I hear very minor RF interference (I have a wireless router in my classroom) when I am not playing music. When music is playing, however, everything is good. The sound quality is amazing with no distortion whatsoever. I'm glad I took a chance on this one despite some negative reviews.

I bought these for a set of Yamaha EPH-50BL earbuds, hoping that they would fit, and much to my surprise, they did. this leads me to believe that they would fit on most, if not all standard earbuds.

I use them while running, because normal buds just aren't enough to keep the headphones in my ears. These fit that bill perfectly. I could run a marathon and only have to adjust them 3 or 4 times.

One note, which applies to any deep-ear tip: keep your ears clean, or these tips will do the job for you.

The only con is the price, which is unfortunate because there aren't any cheaper alternatives that I could find.

When I first purchased the mic I had some doubts, but then I played with the mic for a little bit and it blew my mind. Thought it does pick up alot of background noise, but with the proper software that's no problem. This mic is great for vocals (rap, singing etc...) podcast, voice overs you name it.

(I rap and I have couple of song on youtube that i recorded with this mic if you want to check out the audio quality you can click the link or copy and paste ----> '

It also has zero latency, which means you can hear yourself in realtime which is a plus. The mics build quality is absolutely excellent, but the stand that it comes with is a little cheap so you might want to pick up a alternate mic stand, but I rather have better sound quality than stand quality. This mic is great for beginners, if you're looking to pick up this mic for your home studio or you just want to do voice overs i recommend it. Its amazing and affordable. I rate this mic a 9.5/10 simply because the two buttons on the mic are kind of flimsy, i thought my mic broke but it was just the flimsy buttons, but the buttons shouldn't talk you out of buying this amazing mic

The cable that connects to the mic is loose. The quality of the sound is really low, so is the volume when you record. The only solution I found was by fiddling with the loose connection until I think what the sound quality SHOULD be, but it usually reverts back to the problem. Other than that it's a great find!

I have used several microphones to record podcasts, videos and training voice-overs. I needed a new microphone but was on a tight budget. The Audio-Technica ATR2500 is an excellent value for the money. As with any product there are good and bad points to consider:

The Good Sound quality. I am very impressed with the sound quality for the price of this microphone. When recording using a pop filter and in a recording area, the pickup was very good and provided a nice warm recording of my voice. When I tried it in my office, it did pick up the sound of the fan on my laptop, as well as the hum of some of the electronics. This microphone should be used in a recording area designed to suppress background noises.

A headphone jack out of the microphone. That's a nice touch. (Set the volume BEFORE recording the buttons made a loud clicking noise on my test recording when I tried adjusting volume during a recording)

Metal construction I expected more plastic on a microphone in this price range.

The Bad Manufacturing quality control. The first microphone I ordered didn't work. I sent it back and received another one the next day. I didn't ding the microphone rating for this, as I have received bad electronics in the past from good manufacturers. Bad products sometimes are shipped. And Amazon is amazing at getting replacement products to their customers.

Volume control buttons they are a little too small for their holes and wobble. It would be something I would change if the mic is re-engineered in the future.

Overall, I highly recommend this mic for people who have to record training decks, podcasts or other spoken voice applications and have a sound-controlled environment.

I'm extremely confused as to why the reviews aren't great on this product & not just on here, but the best buy website, Amazon, Walmart and Target as well. Let me tell youI've been thinking about these earbuds for the last few weeks and I waited for a while to purchase them to make sure that I wasn't going to waste money and hope they wouldn't disappoint. I only have one friend that I know of who has a pair of these, but he has the tours. I asked him how he felt about his and he said they were amazing. I'm actually stoked that I decided to buy them. Since there are a lot of people saying that their headphones seem to break somewhat easy, and the left bud blows outof course I went with the warranty (actually purchased them from walmart, and got the $9 warranty) . I've had these for an hour now. The TV is on in the background and it's set at a decent volume, I know I'd definitely be able to hear it with my apple headphones on. Can't hear it even a little bit with these on. Pink Floyd just came on my iphone and it's actually fantastic. I'm hoping I never have to use the warranty but I'm very happy I got it. Also, people are out of their mindsthe bass on these is actually FANTASTIC, you can actually feel it in your chest. It's way too loud turned all the way up. If you're having a moral dilemma as to whether or not you should buy themyou should buy them. If you still aren't sure, save your money for them and I promise when you deicide to go with them that they will be worth the wait. -Elizabeth

The sound was great!...for 2 months, then the left ear bud crapped out on me (most likely a frayed wire). Prior to this the paint managed to chip off the buds themselves. I took great care of these things, never putting a strain on the wire, never wraping them in a tight ball, and never knoting them. I had to revert back to my $20 JVC ear buds that seem to be able to handel any kind of abuse imaginable. If you're spending this kind of money, these people have absolutly no excuse for how flimsy their product is.

These headphones are extremely FRAGILE. I would ONLY BUY THESE WITH A PROTECTION PLAN.

My first pair of in-Ear Beats were given to me as a birthday present 3 years ago. I used the brand new earbuds for 3 weeks before they wore out. They lose connection between the male piece of the headphone jack and the wire.

Just last week I got this "new and improved" pair as a birthday gift. Again, they failed in the same place. I have had these headphones for 6 days and already I can hear static when the cable is not straight.

I treated these headphones with great care. I always rolled them up and put them in their holder when they weren't in use. They never were hit, dropped, chewed on, spilt on, etc.

I had read many reviews and none of them made clear how poorly made these headphones are. They sound fair for the price and look sexy as sin but WILL BREAK.

My friend heard me talking about my issues with these headphones and informed me that he continually experiences the same problem with his headphones but because he has a protection plan he simply brings them to BestBuy and they replace them.

So... I purchased this unit about 2 moths ago for a location recording session and it came through like a champ! The location and circumstances did not permit me to bring along a bunch of out-board gear so I had to depend on the on-board pres and they worked great. Nice and quiet w/ lots of headroom. I was using a ribbon for my M/S and was a little worried that I wouldn't get enough gain but was surprised to find that the 2626 gave more than enough. As far as DAW integration... Flawless! I use Logic on my Macbook Pro and had no issues. Drivers were solid as well. Mac's coreMIDI is a bit of a bugger but once it was on, it was on.

I used the 2626 to run 16 inputs to Logic as well as run a house mix and headphone mix and no probs. There are better interfaces out there but for the money you really can't go wrong. I also realize that some people have had issues with the drivers and such but most have been addressed by now and like anything that you get that is a tech toy you will have integration issues from time to time. You can check any manufacturer forums and you will likely see a host of complaints about usability and integration. What made the decision for me was the price to features ratio. The 2626 is a great interface at a great price.

and yes, you can record 26 channels. you just can't use the dsp mixer. you need to use the mixer in your DAW if you want to go higher than 16+2SPDF. Not really an issue if you're running PT LE or MP since you're limited to 16 tracks anyway. For Logic or DP or Reaper you just have to use your in-DAW mixer. The DSP mixer is more for monitoring anyway and if you've got your channels mapped out right also a non issue.

In my opinion this is a quality budget interface from a quality manufacturer. If you're looking for Jack Joseph Puig or Bruce Swedien sound Your gonna need a boat load more cash but if your looking for a versatile interface for quick location, live and the occasional studio use...

This may only be helpful for a few of you:

I can't comment too much on how the Profire2626 performs as an interface, other than the fact that I noticed no problems the handful of times I have used it to open Pro Tools sessions. What I CAN say is that it is rock-solid when used as a standalone audio routing unit.

When used in standalone mode, connected to my main interface with 2 optical cables, my Profire 2626 offers:

-Eight microphone preamps that sound great for the money

-Two instrument DI inputs

-Eight channel AD/DA converter (TRS, ADAT)

-Two headphone amps, each outputting their own separate "mix" from the digital input

-S/PDIF converter (optical to coax, coax to optical)

I use it for the extra analog outputs and headphone amps, which I use to give each studio musician their own headphone mix. I also use it when my eight go-to microphone preamps aren't enough for the session and I need a few extra. Compared to other similar standalone preamp/AD/DA units (Digimax FS, OctoPre Dynamic, etc.), this one packs a few more features for the money, though I have not directly compared these preamps to those on the other units mentioned. Also, commenting on other reviews, I wouldn't write M-Audio off all together. While I can't comment in depth on their audio drivers, I own and regularly use their microphones and preamps, all of which have given me "bang for the buck," as they say :)

While the preamps and converters may not be quite as audiophile-approved as other preamps and converters I own, It's great for what it does and I have no complaints. Again, I am not using this unit as an audio interface, but in standalone mode. This "swiss army" box has filled in the gaps in my gear nicely when I need a few extra channels of I/O or need to convert a S/PDIF signal.

This interface is a great deal when on sale and still a great investment when it's not. The interface allows for 8 tracks simultaneously (up to 16 if you piggy back with another unit), which is great for capturing live performances. Additionally, the unit supplies phantom power which is a huge plus if you've ever been up a creek without the right power source for your mics. The software is easy to use, and compatible with popular UI's, e.g. GarageBand, Pro Logic, etc.

Like the title say, it's great. Feels solid. Lots of preamp gain (I'm using separate pres though). This is a big upgrade from my M-audio Fast Track Ultra. If you don't have a TI firewire card, I suggest you purchase one because the integrated firewire ports won't work as effectively. Mine popped and clicked and the output cut out after a while. Once i got a SIGG firewire PCIe card, it worked perfectly.

I bought this unit for building a portable 24 track recorder. ( I use a separate system for mixing and editing. ) The name 2626 suggests 26 track recordings are possible. But, DSP of this unit is capable of recording up to only 18 tracks. M-Audio site actually indicates this, but in an obscured manner. At the sampling rate of 88.2 or 96 kHz, the unit can record only up to 12 tracks instead of 18 tracks.

Combination with ADAT preamps, M-Powerd 8 and dual 2 GHz, XP, notebook PC works fine. 3 star rating instead of higher rating is due to confusing naming and obscured descriptions in their site.

Nice soft replacement sleeves for the Shure E2C's. The originals the E2C's come with are an abomination to comfort. These replacements are soft and pliable and give a great seal. My E2C's never sounded better.

After cherishing the same set of plugs for nearly a decade I lost one on my last flight. Crushed I ordered these just hoping they were the same. Awesome they were and now I feel foolish for not have backups before.

These are genuine Shure accessories; be sure to check the model number of your earphones to make sure these fit. They do NOT fit the e3 earphones, but they do fit the e3C model.

Everybody has a personal preference when it comes to in-ear monitor sleeves; these ones work well for me and are comfortable for extended use.

Had the Shure e2c for more than five years. The supplied foams and sleeves were extremely uncomfortable to wear, hard to insert and difficult to take out...or pry out. This new, redesigned sleeve solves all the above problems completely. I recommend getting them if you own a Shure e2c. No more ear aches and pains.

I purchased smalls because the smalls fit the best in the variety pack I got with my e2c's. But these fall out after having them in for a minute or so while I am running. Work great if I am stationary though.
