Good, big, rich and clean sound you will get from this guitar amp. The distortion is good as well, it has a switch button for clean/distortion effect, lots of equalizers buttons and reverb effect. The 15 watt single 12 speaker would shake your house and you can use this guitar amp in small gigs.

Very nice amp. Don't let the 15 watts deceive you. This baby can pump with the bigger boys due in part to it's 12" driver. The tone is very warm and clean whether I'm using an electric guitar or classical. ( I don't use the overdrive side as I have my own effects rack ) Amp seems to be more heavier on the bass side. You can really feel it especially in a smaller room. The 3 band eq helps to even things out a bit but if you're looking for "tingling highs", you should look elsewhere. All in all, this is a good practice amp that you can even take with you to smaller gigs.

I bought this to use for practice and wanted the best sound and effects in a small cabinet. This is it! Great sound and effects. More power than I expected. Very pleased!

Want Crate FlexWave FW15R Guitar Amp Combo with Reverb, 15 Watt Single 12 Speaker Discount?

Lot's of good things to say about this little amp. Let me start with the good: $100.00 is a bargan for this one. I almost went for the fender frontman 25r(same price) which is also a very good amp, but I like the 12" speaker on the Crate. This makes a huge impact on the sound to me. Even at 15 watts this one puts out some serious volume! The Crate seems to have more bottom end, and a nice full sound to me.

This is not a modeling amp which is another thing I like about it. It's a straight-up, old school type amp with one clean channel, and one overdrive. This to me makes it much more easy to play live, and also taylor in your own sound using some pedals. The fulltone OCD sounds awesome on this! Anyway, pedals work great on this amp. With that said, I almost always stay on the clean channel and use my pedals. However, the overdrive channel is decent.

This amp is great for jamming at home, or even for a small gig. If you needed it for a bigger gig you could mic it. Like I said before it does have good volume. I mostly use it to practice at home.

Everything about this amp works great for my needs. I mostly play 70's/80's on it. i.e. The Police, The Cars, Tom Petty, stuff like that. The only thing I think Crate could have done better with this amp is the reverb. Yeah it is a real spring, but seems to be very "Thin" to me. Maybe a digital reverb would be better on this one. I have an old Crate GLX 212, and the digital reverb is awesome. Anyway, hope this review help a little.

Overall this is a good solid little amp with a punch.

I bought my previous amp (50 watt tube w/ 12" speaker) with the intention of carrying that in one hand and my guitar in the other to wherever I was going. I must have been insane. Of course it's my prime machine but needed something easier on my back for casual jamming, practicing, etc. It's always been my opinion that a bigger box gives you a bigger sound, all other thing being equal. I wanted to stick with a 12" speaker (and its bigger box). I considered tubes but conceded to myself that solid state would be lighter and I play "clean" 90% of the time anyway. I also wanted reverb, spring, if possible. I compared about a half a dozen amps, listing their attributes. I soon found that I was comparing apples and oranges at times and none seemed to entirely fill the bill. After some head scratching, I decided on the Crate. I have no regrets. The 12" speaker and "big box" were a pleasant surprise. 15 watts seemed underpowered but trusted previous reviews. I found out at a recent basement jam session that it held its own, the volume turned up only slightly past half (we're not talking "cranked", of course. Not metal. heads). I have to say that the reverb, though a spring, doesn't have the "quality" of my bigger amp (must be a shorter spring, having a quick "sprongy" sound to it. I may have rated this amp five stars otherwise.) But when the band is in full swing, it's not noticed as long it's not turned up too far. I don't use the "overdrive" channel so I can't review it. I use a Tube Screamer for my "dirt" All in all, not bad for about $100. Both weighing about 23 lbs. I can now carry my guitar and amp with comfortable balance.

When I first removed the Shure i4cT earphones from their box, I briefly thought I had received the wrong product the in-line mute button & volume switch is so big, I thought it must be the i4c, with connections for a standard phone and a separate MP3 player. But sure enough, it was the i4cT with a neat little 2.5m plug that fits properly into my Windows Smartphone.

Unfortunately, the 2.5mm plug was the only "neat little" part I could identify. The mostly thick & stiff cable assembly, and the over-sized mute/volume switch (with clip) are so bulky that I was unable to wind & stash it for comfortable usage. Perhaps the engineers at Shure believe the thicker cable elements are necessary to meet their audio standards, but given these are designed to be paired with mobile devices, I'll bet they could find an acceptable alternative wire that is thinner and more flexible.

Now, these earphones do sound really good, no doubt about it. I'll go so far as to say they sound incredible. Had they been less expensive, I might have put up with the poor ergonomics, but there were also a couple of other issues...

When holding a telephone conversation using these earphones, their sound isolation characteristics make it very difficult to hear your own voice when speaking. It's pretty weird you really have to trust your vocal habits to know that you're speaking at an appropriate volume. The people I spoke with over the phone told me that they could hear me really well (I don't *think* I was yelling :-), so I assume that the microphone is as high-quality as the earphones themselves. Anyway, not hearing yourself clearly in a conversation will take some getting used to if you buy these.

Lastly, the microphone mute button must be held down to keep the mic muted (it's a release-to-talk mechanism), and the volume adjustment dial is a bit too sensitive. Since I can mute my microphone and adjust the volume using my actual phone, I would prefer that Shure remove this bulky component from the product altogether. A small button somewhere on the device for answering or disconnecting a call would be much more useful...

So, I sent these back. If Shure releases a version of these with more attention to ergonomics and the "can't-hear-your-own-voice" issue, I'll cheerfully try them out.

UPDATE: After providing this feedback to Shure's customer support team, I promptly received this info on the "can't-hear-your-own-voice" issue: "That is called sidetone. Sidetone is provided from the phone and due to the sound isolating features of our earphones it makes a lack of sidetone that much more present. You may want to check out the phone preferences and see if it has a sidetone adjustment."

After lots of research on a headset that would be compatible with my Centro, I went for the Shure set. I am not disappointed. The sound isolation works well, and the bass reflex is impressive. Worth the money!

The huge white wires and bulky volume/mute control are embarassing to wear in public. But I would if the sound was there...its not!

I have to assume that the set I was sent is faulty. The sound is completly lacking any bass. I tried every set of plugs that were sent with the unit hoping to improve the sound, but no luck.

Further, I receive complaints from people I talk to on the treo about my voice being sounding horrible/echo/tin like/hard understancd ect.

I hope I can find the box to return this.

I've used this amp for 4 months in a small rock combo. I wanted something you could carry in one hand but still sounded OK. Mission accomplished. I was worried that the 12 inch speaker wouldn't have enough bass but that isn't a problem. This is a great sounding amp, perfect for small venues. And you can always mike or go direct into the PA in a big room.

Gripes: The kickback feature is really nice and I use it often but the large rubber bumpers get knocked off easily. One even got ripped in half. Very cheap construction as the bumpers are only held on with small wood screws. I made a couple of polycarbonate ones at a machine shop and haven't had a problems since.

Secondly, I wish this amp had a second channel with a volume control. There are times when you are only practicing and just need to plug in a guitar or something.

But these are minor issues so four stars

There seems to be some confusion as to the purpose of this device. It is NOT designed for use with headphones. Headphones use two channels (left and right) so they need a stereo TRS (Tip Ring Sleeve) cable and NOT a mono TS (Tip Sleeve) cable. This splitter is a TS device so it will combine the left and right together if it is used with a stereo signal. It is, however, useful for single channel devices like guitars, microphones, or recording equipment that runs the right and left channels in separate cables. So just to summarize: Instruments good, headphones bad.

uh... um.... uh... oh yeah... this plug makes it possible to plug two guitars into a single jack on an amp.... nice if your amp has just one jack and you want to play a duo w/ a friend.... works well, no prob.

These little units are great for splitting a 1/4 inch signal, ie, playing your guitar/effects into two amps simultaneously. However I bought these for the opposite reason: to combine two signals. And for that purpose they are not very well-suited.

I split my effects chain into dry and wet (before a volume pedal and delays) to control the amount of delay. Then I need to re-join the signal before my reverb. I'm not very knowledgeable of the electronics side of it but there are impedance issues at play here and it really screwed up my signal. There was awful feedback at any level of volume or delay and some other really weird issues going on. Fortunately I was careful and didn't blow up any of my pedals by cramming two inputs into one, but I believe there is potential to damage your effects in this manner. Just google "Why Not Wye" to read some articles about the issue if you're considering this--I wish I would have done so before buying these but I'm sure I can find another use for them sometime so it's not a total waste.

So basically, be careful if using this as a 2 in -> 1 out. It doesn't say it anywhere on the product page but these are meant for 1 in -> 2 out. I ended up getting a mini mixer unit to solve my problem and that works much better for combining signals safely and even allows for volume control on each input.

I wanted this so that my son and I could share an amp and play our electric guitars together. Works great, price was decent. we leave it plugged in all the time (even if only one of us is playing).

I use these splitters with a modular synthesizer. There are dedicated modules (called multiples) to splitting signals, but sometimes you just need a quick connection or you run out of multiples.

Definitely handy to keep several of these around.
