I ordered this product from Amazon, and it arrived very quickly. Packaging was sufficient to the need, though there were no instructions or parts-lists. This thing is easy enough to put together that it doesn't really matter.

As far as the item itself, it is obvious that it's only a couple hundred bucks. The 'ebony' fingerboard is just black-painted wood, so be prepared to polish the heck out of it to get the worst off. My fingers, even after vigorous wiping and several days of use, still turn a little black by the end of a session. The strings are pathetically cheap, and the fine tuners just do not want to let go of the strings. I can thread the string through the gap, but popping it out through the space between the prongs is difficult, and you'll probably just damage the string. Just go ahead and order new strings and fine-tuners while you're buying this thing. The body also seems to be a little bit longer than my 4/4 acoustic, which makes finding a comfortable and correct position a bit of a challenge (for those of us of moderate stature), but it's not insurmountable. On the positive side, it seems very sturdily made. The crook between the neck and the 'body' is exactly in the shape and location needed so you can find fourth and higher positions. It's very easy to set up--just set the bridge in the slot and tighten the strings over it. The sound is quite metalic--as you might expect--but not too bad. Volume-wise, it is akin to a very heavily muted cello, and perfectly suitable to play and not aggravate the neighbors, even at forte. It is quite heavy, which is annoying in some ways, but it means I'm much more conscious of when I tighten my left hand and either squeeze the neck, or support it on my thumb. I'm sure it's not intentional, but it helps me keep an eye on those bad habits we all try to avoid.

I would have liked to have the arms on the thing on the opposite sides (so that the upper arm on the player's left, so you don't get into bad habits in the thumb postions), but I knew that going in. I would also have liked to have at least the option of using power from an outlet, but since I'm using this mostly for a) more convenient size for travel and b) quiet compared to an acoustic, I don't actually use the battery much. Or the 'phones. No idea what the battery-life is like on it, but you might want to make sure you have extras if you're going to use it a lot through an amp, or something.

Too bad the Yamahas are so expensive, but if you're looking for a basic, portable, electric cello on a budget, this one will do the job.

It's a great set for a new player. Although the strings provided trouble for even an experienced player to tune and the small one broke when trying to fit it on the bridge for the first time while tuning. It's a great quality and I love how compact it is. The design turns heads.

As far as the ordering process it arrived as promised, no damage, and was up and running in about 10 minutes.

Other customers indicated the strings should be changed, so I got those as well. Had a rough time changing the first one by threading it through the fine tuner, so for the other three i popped out the metallic ring of the string and threaded it the other way, then put the ring on again it was much easier.

I didn't expect it to be the best quality as it was very low cost. But it is sturdy and has the expected sound. The half moon bar on the top was a bit loose and eventually ended up dropping the screws. I just replaced those with slightly longer screws and a bit of glue and it is playable again.

I have a small amp that I use occasionally and so never use the headphones. I still prefer the acoustic that I have but, it is great to be able to practice without bothering everyone else.

Biggest problem I had with this product was the sound from pick up. It is pretty week. Second issue was very hard to tune the Pegs. Fine tuners on bridge do not work well. Overall build quality is poor.

I love Mixvibes and their "fine DJ solutions". I use several of their software products, one of their DJ controllers and now I shill for them by wearing these this spiffy (and decent sounding) DJ style headphones with their snazzy logo emblazoned on each side. If you are a beginner the USB soundcard and enclosed software allow you to play music through the laptop soundcard and use the included sound USB sound card to cue up music in the headphones. The software is strictly for the beginner, you will want to move on to better software and dual channel sound devices soon. Like I said, I bought this for the headphones.

The sound, fit, and function is perfect for DJing. Exceptionally tight bass that poo poos all over anything by Sony (700, V6/7506, 7509), Koss, or Ixos, and the mids and highs are nicely balanced. There's a slight (and I do mean slight) excess of bass, but it's in a way that lends itself to mixing and is never muddy and muffled. Etymotic's high end in-ear stuff obviously does better on the bass (as well as everywhere else) but that's a different beast. Unfortunately, the 1000's break. First thing to go is usually the slide joint. You'll notice they keep slipping on one side (left usually) and tightening the screw will eventually strip it. The solution is to superglue the sliders (open them up completely) then tape the outside with scotch tape, which is nearly invisible. A perfect solution, assuming you won't ever get to adjust the size again to anyone else's head. However, that's not the biggest problem. The plastic between the ball joint and the horseshoe shaped piece that contacts the driver housing will eventually crack and break completely. This usually occurs on the right side more, though by that time you'll see cracking on the left, too. It can happen out of nowhere one day and is catastrophic. For the price, this is totally unacceptable construction on Pioneer's part. They have been replacing them like gangbusters to people who have the problem, but you pay the shipping cost and there's no end to the number of headphones you'll go through. As far as I know, they haven't fixed it. Mine just went after only about 6 months. There are people on the Pioneer forum on their 5th one. They sound that good and work that well for DJing, but at this point I'm about ready to try the Senn 25. I've been to Numark hell and back about 11 times, and I don't want to start another cycle with a different product.

The reviewer before summed up these headphones and their shortcomings wonderfully so I simply want to add my voice to his comments. They DO BREAK; I guess I'm lucky in that mine lasted for just over a year. They sound FANTASTIC, the best I've used, but I've just written Pioneer to try and have them replaced. For $120 pair of phones I should be listening to these 10 years from now, not looking for gobs of tape and super glue just to listen to them only 1 year later. I havea feeling that if you reinforced that area with some tape they'd not break, or at least not for quite a while... kind of silly, but yeah, they sound GREAT.

i am a dj and i always baby my equipment. I have had 3 pairs of these head phones and I think I will finally stop buying this head phone because it isnt really sturdy. All 3 times the head phone seemed to break at the swivel joint after a couple of months of use. Dont get me wrong the quality of the head phones is superior in my opinion just the cheap plastic parts that seem to break at the same spots is what bothers me. So far ive invested about 450 dollars in 3 headphones and that is why i am going to look for another headphone

-----EDIT BELOW-----

First off, I like these headphones enough to have had several pairs over the years despite their foibles. The main reason is the excellent sound. The highs are very clear but are never tinny, the low end is full and tight, never muddy, and mid range sounds including human voice and many instruments are well reproduced and have substantial body. The frequency response of these headphones is greater than that of many peoples hearing, so you can be sure the headphones will generate any sound you can pick up, that is they wont drop very hi or low frequency sounds. This frequency response coupled with a good efficiency (dB) makes for a superb listening experience; you'll be amazed at how much more of your music there is to hear. A handy small feature is that the cord is user replaceable, so no need to replace the headphones if the plug or cord is damaged.

On the downside, they are made out of rather cheap feeling plastic which seems apt to snap under tension, though the padding is comfortable, and the folding and swiveling earpieces make various listening styles easy including DJing which they are largely made for. Additionally, I have found that these are uncomfortable after an hour or two of use, because they seem to compress your ears/head, that the tension in the band piece going over your head is too stiff. The pads of the earpieces themselves are soft and accommodate most ears well though and are resistant to sweat and stain. These are slightly heavy but only due to the quality/heft of the drivers.

Overall, these are an excellent pair of headphones, and to me provide the highest quality of listening experience for my music, if not always the best comfort. I would recommend their purchase, and would suggest you buy an extended warranty through the vendor so you won't have to worry about the integrity of the plastic bits, as I had one pair brake after a couple years.

----EDIT: Now, my replacement pair has also broken, at the same spot as my other pair, and those of many other peoples, below the swivel&hinge, above the half circle that holds the ear piece. A frustrating shame, to have such flimsy plastic holding together such good sounding audio components. In fairness, these have broke after what is likely at least a thousand hours of use, but I will not be replacing them with this same model, but perhaps the HDJ-2000's, which enjoy an all metal construction.

The Pros: Fantastic quality of sound. Very sturdy, reliable. Those who say they break easily, apparently have failed to understand how to and what for to use them. No, they are not you pillow. Not your seat cushion either. I've had them for about two years now and they look, feel and sound like new.

Very nice looking headphones, too.

The Cons. Somewhat heavy, not very comfy (The Sennheiser HD555 are the most comfortable cans I've ever owned, but the Pioneers sound better). As it is common to all the closed type headphones, on rare occasions, when playing some abnormally low and powerful bass, the sound waves get trapped inside the cups and cause bad distortion. It happens very rarely, though. Overall excellent product.

THis is a WONDERFUL little headphone amp! Finally, I can practice/play any time I choose, and I don't have to worry about bothering anyone else. The unit has a distortion effect and an echo effect. I love the quality of the echo effect so much, that I have actually used it on stage a few times in place of my (much more expensive) Rocktron Short timer Digital Delay. As others have mentioned, I replaced the headset with a quality (but not expensive) Sony set. But, at this price, it's hard to believe they include a headphone set of any kind! Don't listen to those who criticize its potential for "live" or "one-stage" use. IT'S NOT MEANT FOR THAT! If you use this to practice or to entertain yourself, without interfering with other people in the room, you are going to be thrilled. I also lay down chord tracks, on an inexpensive cassette recorder, and practice playing lead. If anything happens to this little amp, I will quickly replace it. I have encouraged all of my electric guitar students to purchase one, and I'll be giving them as gifts to friends who play. At less than $20.00, the Danelectro e-studio 15, is a tremendous bargain. The features, flexibility, functional design, and quality of the product are just OUTSTANDING. You just can't go wrong.

Buy Danelectro E15 Danelectro E-Studio W/ Echo Now

Just to clarify, this headphone amplifier does NOT have a speaker. You must attach headphones (supplied) or your own amp/speakers.

Also, it comes in either brown, green, or yellow AT RANDOM, and is meant to clip on your belt/pants. It's not built like a brick so don't step on it.

Also, in the negative column, I found the distortion sound unpleasant when I cranked it to 11. However, setting the level to halfway or 2/3 of the way up produced an acceptable distorted sound. (I don't have a lot of experience with other cheap amps, though, so the Danelectro might not be the worst thing out there.)

In the positive column, the clean sound was good, there was no hum, only a small amount of hiss, and the reverb was mild but pleasant. (There's no control over reverb level or speed, only an on/off button.) There's plenty of power to drive the supplied headphones at "loud enough to hurt your ears.)

Grand total: 3 buttons (Power, Distortion on/off, Reverb on/off); 2 dials (volume control, distortion level); 3 jacks (guitar in, headphone out, line out); one LED.

Bottom line: if you don't have a headphone practice amp already, getting one at the current low price is a no-brainer.

First let me just say I'm a big fan of Danelectro. I own six of their effects pedals in addition to this amp. They make excellent products for what they charge and I've been impressed with almost everything I've bought from them.

On to the headphone amp First off you might as well throw out the headphones it comes with, they're crap. But that's to be expected I guess. That aside, everything else performs very well. It's definitely loud enough, the distortion is good, however it is pretty fuzzy and gets noisy at higher volumes. The echo on this thing, (which is the main reason I decided to get this instead of a Rockman) is awesome. It sounds exactly like my classic slap echo pedal. It's very clear and stays consistent with the distortion on or off and at higher volumes.

I like the line out option but I haven't tried it yet. It's a cool idea though. It is smaller than I thought it was going to be which was a pleasant surprise. It's about the size of a pack of cigarettes, maybe a little bigger. Definately small enough to keep in your pocket. It's also very lightweight.

My only real complaint is the retarded sea foam green color, and cheesy fake chrome but who cares, no one ever sees it anyway.

Overall I'd definately reccomend this amp to anyone looking for a mini headphone amp (...). The Dean headphone amp looks like it could be decent but it doesnt come with echo and it's hard to find.

Want Danelectro E15 Danelectro E-Studio W/ Echo Discount?

Okay, it's funky in looks but the closest I came to an equivalent was 2.5X times the price with a LOT less features. Its hammy distortion and echo are actually fun and replace a couple of external pedals and the unit connects easily with simple instrument cables to your guitar or bass guitar or keyboards or whatever. You practice in peace and quiet. But WAIT! It comes with a mini-jack AND a set of headphones. I've got an iPod and loads of headphones these are actually a GOOD set of (stereo) headphones well worth the price of the unit itself. It comes with its own battery no disappoint-ment for a giftee! But the other cool trick is that you can hook it and its "effects" back through to an instrument amp with an extra cable How Fun Is That? VERY!

Buy Fom Amazon Now

If all you want is portable, simple, and inexpensive, then this is a safe purchase. If you want killer sound, look elsewhere. I was dissapointed with the echo. Too over-powering in my opinion, so I only use clean or distortion. Because it is made of all plastic, it is very light, but I definately worry my kids are going to drop it or step on it.

If you don't have a lot of space for your equipment, or you don't like tripping over cables, or like to travel with guitar, then a headphone amp is very nice. If your just going to play at home, then a cheap practice amp which typically has a headphone jack, might be a better long-term option.

OK, you have been shopping for cables to finish off your new home theater system and time after time a salesperson tells you about MONSTER cables. Well, when it comes to HDMI or Red/Blue/Green component cables, getting something nice with gold fittings is the way to go but spending big bucks to buy the MONSTER brand name is way over rated. Search our some similar but way cheaper cables on Amazon.com. Now regarding these optical cables. Brand means nothing. Transferring a light signal is transferring a light signal. A gold fitting means squat. As long as the optical cable you buy delivers the light signal from a cable box to your TV or audio system, you good to go. Example, I purchased a MONSTER Cable on sale for $38 bucks before I saw this cable on Amazon.com. Glad Circuit City has a 30 return policy with receipt because I sure used it. Once my less then less than a buck optical cable arrived and I saw that it delivered a light signal just like the MONSTER cable with the MONSTER price did, I returned that overpriced cable faster than you can say jack rabbit. When installing your optical cable, look close at the shape of the fitting and the shape of the whole it goes in. Kinda trick to make sure you are placing it in correctly and push it in snug. Do not jam it in without lining up which side is up. Also, do not crimp the cable. You are dealing with fiber optics here so keep the cord from bending at a sharp able to keep your light passageway from getting blocked. ENJOY AND SAVE BIG BUCKS.

I have a Sony STR-K760P receiver with 6.1 channel surround. I'm feeding my DVD in through digital coax, but my DirecTV and XBox both supply Dolby Digital 5.1 via optical output only. While these cables seem a bit delicate (I certainly wouldn't want to step on them, and I was careful not to bend them around sharp corners during setup) they work perfectly! Digital is all-or-nothing, either you get the full signal or you don't. There's no need to buy $20 $50 digital optical cables from Monster or any other manufacturer, these will work great. My XBox sounds amazing when playing DD 5.1 games.

Compare this cable to a $20 dollar cable (same length) sold in a fancy box with a equally fancy brand name, then ask yourself if you notice any difference.

It will cost you $24 total to compare, then you'll start ordering all of your audio cables from parts express and you'll save a ton of $$ in the future.

I wanted to connect my XBox to my surround sound system, so i did a search for "XBox optical" and the Xbox 100X Fiber Optic Cable by Monster Cable came up. I'm a total noob about audio, so i checked with a friend to see if the XBox needed a particular style of optical cable or if any would do. He suggested that any would do, so i found this 3' cable for about one tenth of the price of the monster cable. I'll cut the long story short: it worked perfectly. For me, it's not worth paying 10 times the price to get a similar product with a fancy name on it.

I purchased the Casio CTK-4200 keyboard for my 11 year old daughter's birthday and could not be happier about the whole purchasing process from Amazon. First, the other reviews regarding the Casio (CTK-4200) keyboard are spot on, period. This a great keyboard for both beginners and intermediate musicians. I am very pleased with the entire package and would highly recommend to any parent out there looking for a starter keyboard for their kids. The features are too many to describe....just read the product description, it's very accurate. Secondly, I ordered the keyboard package on Monday and received it on Wednesday (awesome shipping service). Keyboard and accessories arrived well packaged and in great condition. No complaints at all. Lastly, with shopping experience like this, Amazon is the only way to go.

This Keyboard is absolutely amazing! The packaging the keyboard came in was in great condition, and everything that came with it works perfectly. Nothing was missing. It comes with built in songs (several) that teaches you how to play on the screen of the keyboard, but the keys don't light up. At least i haven't seen or found in the book that says it does. Several Tones are built in as well and the sound quality is reaaaally good. I recommend this to any beginner or experienced player. I am a beginner myself and it was very easy for me to figure out how to work with the keyboard. Somethings I did have to look up in the guide book, but the book is easy to follow. This Keyboard is great and i can't wait to really start playing. I am definately a VERY happy customer!

The quick lick. I have an ES 175 and I love it, yet I would never consider taking it with me on trips and leaving it in a hotel. Better yet, those that practice a lot know that family members really don't want to hear you running scales or riffs for hours on end, so the "Pocket Rocket" headphone amp with clean & distortion settings is a must. The action is set from the factory perfect, no buzzing, and no strain either thru the headphones or my amps. I really recommend this guitar especially for the $$$. The sound is rich and full and very comparable to my 1978 Gibson.

I'll be respectfully brief and to the point. This is not only a great travel guitar, but a pretty damn interestingly voiced guitar on its own. Frankly, when I put the EG-2 through a very nice hardware amp simulator and played a bit I was pleasantly surprised. Enough sounds in its palette to satisfy with really good tone and feel. It is very well made and aside from not being able to comment on it's longevity I am very satisfied with this guitar and the niche it fills admirably.

This mini-strat fills the bill for me as a travel guitar. It will fit in a 29" suitcase, diagonally in its guitar case. It a 27" suitcase it will fit only with out the included case.

High points: The guitar has a nice tone, very close to to that of a Fender Stratocaster. It appears to be well made with decently low action. Intonation on the upper frets is good. The quality of the tuners and bridge and workman ship all appear good. There were no visible flaws. The aux input and headphone jack were the key features for me beside its full size neck in a small travel size.

It stays in tune almost as well as my American made Strat.

Low points: The aux input was loose, I unscrewed is mounting, and tightened the nut while holding the aux jack so it wouldn't turn as I tightened it. The Pocket Rocket feature will drain the included battery in 1 day if left on. Mine arrived with a dead battery. The guitar case could use a second strap so it can be carried like a back pack.

Other than that, I'm quite satisfied. I'd rate it B to B+.

I was at a conference for four days last month and really missed playing my guitar. I had been thinking about the traveler and went to a local guitar center and bought an EG-1 (mini les paul) with one humbucker at the bridge. It had OK action but I didn't care for the single pickup because I am on a Stevie Ray / Mark Knopfler / Robin Trowler (you get the idea) kick. When I saw the EG-2 I figured I had to try itjust to tote it around and play when I had some time once I got home. This guitar arrived the after I got home, and I can't put it down. It sounds just like a real strat, and plays with nice action. I have a small FM transmitter that I used for playing a portable CD player over a car FM receiver from years ago, and now my car radio is my new portable practice amp. The quality of this guitar is much better than the EG-1 that I had at the hotel, so maybe this company is learning some lessons on how to make it right. I am totally happy with this guitar and will keep it in my truck and not worry too much about it given the cost. That said though I would hate to have anything happen to this guitar!

My other guitar is a PRS Studio which I would never consider leaving in my truck!

For a travel guitar the build quality seems pretty good, but I'd recommend trying it in the store before buying. I bought it to play in the car at lunch and take on vacation, but I find playing on such a little body very uncomfortable especially in the car personally I need arm support (I might try the Speedster instead, which has the detachable arm rest). Because of this and because the bridge (or where the bridge normally is maybe I should call it the nut since string direction is reversed) is much further back than on other guitars, playing is just too awkward for me. Also some of the finish around one screw was a little chipped off when I received it. The sound is good the switches (pickup and Pocket RockIt) are a little iffy but nothing too serious.

On the upside, the fret board is comfortable and nice. The bag is also very good quality much better than my other gig bags.

I'm sure this guitar would be great for some people just maybe not for my purposes.

Got this since my other gig bags would not fit the Wildkat. This bag has 2" deep sides unlike my others which just have front and back. There is plenty of room in this bag would probable even fit a 335-style guitar. The Wildkat would actually slop around except the bag has an adjustable neck support/strap and two side pads, all of which are repositionable wherever you like. The padding is good front, back and sides (20mm = about 7/8 inch), the zippers and stitching look strong and well-made, and there is lots of usable storage space (3 compartments). Comfortable padded shoulder straps for backpacking, which tuck away when not in use.Good bag for storage of guitar, and should serve well for transport (being personally carried I wouldn't want to use it in checked baggage). I don't think it would protect a guitar very well if dropped, but that's probably true with most gig bags.

I'll be straight with you, I already own Sony Extra Base head phones (300 series) so my review reflects that comparative measure. That being said these headphones MDR-XB400 are required for those wanting the full package without breaking the bank. First, the sound is almost identical to my Extra Base 300 series Sony headphones. The only difference is the 300 series are slightly louder and a tad lower bass octave range but not enough to make me say these headphones sound any less worth the money. Second, there light weight and come in colors. Third, they give better noise cancelling then my Sony EB300 series. I guess that's because technology continues to improve as well as materials. Lastly, these headphones are comfortable, even when worn for long periods of time. A key feature and test that good headphones must pass. I'd give it 4 and a half stars if I could.

We would give it a five star but we realize it does not completely fold flat away, just like the XB600. Other than that, it sounds as good as the XB600 we recently purchased. This carries the same sound, replication and has good sound through out the audible range. My daughter immediately fell in love with the color, which matches her color motif. She sings with it all the time. Now looking for a white and blue one for my other daughter.

If you want deep bass for an affordable price, look no further!!

I have beats solo, studio, and pro. The monsters are better of course in vocals and representation of sound, but I was surfing around for bass and didnt care how it sounded, then came across these.

So I went to my local Best Buy and demo'ed them. I was suprised on how much bass it was producing. Busted out my iPhone, went on amazon, click buy and here I am 2 days later typing this review. Best Buy is nothing more than a Amazon show floor for me.

I listen to mostly kpop. Awesome bass across all the songs I have listened to.

Just some of the artist I tested them with:

2NE1 Do You Love Me

Big Bang Ego

Seungri VVIP

Seungri Gotta Talk to U

Jay Park I Like 2 Party

Phantom Burning (Instrumental)

Mr. Mr. Waiting for You

Sori B.I.K.I.N.I. (Instrumental)

I'm rocking them in white and purple, it's in guys, make it happen.

I bought these for my Daughter who wanted something that looked cool as well as sounding good. They sound very good for the price and I think she likes the sound of the added bass.

tis a great practice amp, amps have come a long way over the years.

I use a fender twin playing out, though the vamp is no comparison as far as loudness, the old school look and sound is pretty nice, and alot easier to carry for practice, save the BIG GUN for the show. The amp doesn't leave much to be desired, sounds good and packs a punch! great deal for fifty bucks!

I would gladley spend the money again...its comparable to most practice amps with 3-band eq, fuzz pack/overdrive..the second "clean" channel..crystal clear..what impressed me the most were the soldered connections in the head unit..it's built to last..looks good but looks aren't everything..the extra effort is much appreciated.

This amp is a quality item for the dollar range (I paid $49.99). There is some question about sound quality and variation in quality. We purchased two of these, and one arrived with some minor issues, constant humming regardless of volume or EQ settings. Amazon did a wonderfully quick swap and the new one arrived without the problem.

This is not a 6000W stage amp, nor is it so quiet enough to practice without disturbing the neighbors...it has a full punch output at full gain/volume, and can easily light up a back yard.

Specs-

Input: 1/4" Mono (not a tip and ring jack)

Controls: Volume/Gain and selectable Volume 3-EQ range knobs. There are two volume controls, once for each side of the push button selector.

Outputs: 1/4" Mono (for monitor or mixer), 1/4" Dual Mono Headphone jack (tip and ring supplied from the same mono channel).

Power: Lighted front panel rocker switch

The box is very slim and small, about a foot by a foot and 8" deep, the rear is partially open, speaker exposed, and allows for cord storage.

Pros-

-Portability, easy of use and set up.

-Quality finish (leatherette with steel corners) and good construction, 6" heavy duty lead guitar speaker

-Excellent sound and electronics for ANY amp under $100. There are other manufacturers that have small wattage amps and smaller speakers that are $30-$50 more. Go with this one.

Cons-

-Units run hot and cold as to quality, but if it works out of the box, it's good, if not, you'll know it as soon as you power it up. Buy with confidence at Amazon from Amazon and you shouldn't have any worries.

These amps power two Squier(tm) by Fender® electric guitars Squier by Fender Bullet Strat with Tremolo Bundle with Strings, Pick Card, and Polishing Cloth Black, Rosewood Fretboard and do a great job.

I'm new to playing guitar, but this amp is awesome! I love how I can put the overload sound on to rock it out!!! My mom loves the headphones that I can plug into it. I like controlling the treble, bass and mid range with the controls to get all those different sounds. I've carried it to friends houses plenty of times... which is cool.

Well, I read that sometimes these come with a hum and still took the chance cause the other reviews stated how great it was for the price. Obviously their amps did not come with the HUM. This hum/hiss was present as soon as I turned it on even with all the knobs turned all the way down so i knew there was a problem right away. The line out/speaker out: could hardly hear the output over the hum that also bleeded through the output. I am assuming this was a grounding problem. Since I would be the third to mention this hum, it must be a Quality Control problem.

I will say this though, if you dare, I was able to return it for a refund, no problem. It looks cool. When I did have the guitar plugged into it, it did sound good and loud. And clean. But as soon as I'd stop playing, there was the hum again.

The price is right and if you do get one that does not have the hum, I would guess anyone would enjoy it.

I wanted to try eJamming Audiio (online jamming), so I purchased this tri-capture to run my Roland V-Drums through it as well as a microphone and mp3 player. It was easy to plug and play (and came with software to configure it). No problems what so ever. What "might" have been nice is to have it battery powered as well as USB powered. If I take it to a gig and create a mix of myself (drums/vocals/Mp3 player), I have to have USB power. Luckily, the Roland TD9 drumkit has a USB port that can power this device, but others might not be so lucky.

I purchased this beautifully designed interface about a month ago. I had first tried a Tascam US-800 interface, but I sent it back, as it would not communicate with my computer. The Roland instantly recognized my computer, and it works every time that I plug it in (just make sure you use the same USB port each time.)

What sets this unit aside from the rest of the interfaces, is it has a 3rd input for a drum machine or an MP3 player, so if you have a guitar (or bass), plus plug a microphone in to sing, you have another input for your drums or MP3 player. You can also loop a youtube video into the unit as well, which is great for guitar players who want to play along for guitar instruction.

As the other reviewer said, it does not have a battery or external power supply for the USB, so you must supply it from a USB port on the computer. One thing I noticed is the volume level is a bit low on the microphone channel, and the input control must be near the maximum setting, but it works fine.

The included Sonar LE program is a sweet blessing, as I absolutely loathe Cubase. It does every thing that I desire to do with a DAW, and you can easily upgrade to the full Sonar program if you like.

You can also use this device as a computer sound interface and plug in head phones or powered monitors. It produces a very fine sound when you do that.

All in all, Roland produced a very fine product in the Tri-Capture at a good price point.

I've only had this for a week. I took a chance buying it as I could find no reviews at the time. I chose it because I am switching to Sonar. It worked immediately with Sonar and my wife recorded a vocal track with it right out of the box. The sound was so good that , when she was playing back over some average computer speakers, I had to look to see if she was singing live! I have since recorded my Fodera bass guitar, and also a fretless bass with very high impedance piezo pickups, with excellent results. Does the job. Great value!

Sure...it does not have a lot of bells and whistles but the features were exactly what I was looking for AND at a reasonable price. Plug 'n Play on my MacPro. My order was received in a few days and I was quickly good to go.

A great investment for any beginner. I have had a great experience with it using my new MacBook Pro (2012). I did have to go to the Roland website to install a new driver because the initial plug in did not take, but that was no big deal. Have to max out my pots when recording guitars. When recording vocals I take them up to around nine. Probably a more professional interface would have more sensitive pots. I really like it.
