I bought this mainly as a messenger bag with alternate uses as well.

I am a MONO fan, as I have bought several of their products, including the Producer DJ Mixer bag, two M80 Double Pedal cases and the Ipad Loop Sleeve.

My main reason for getting this bag to to replace my well-used messenger bag. As a classical musician, I tend to carry a lot of 11"x17" music. Most bags don't really work well for that size of paper, so the edges get bent, torn, etc. This bag keeps my scores nice and comfy, plus the waterproof outer shell is a must. There's enough storage outside of the main compartment for the essentials (between the front and back pockets, you could pretty much store what you could carry in a regular folio. I keep my MacBook in the computer slot and put my Ipad in front pocket (along w/other stuff) and have the whole main pocket for oversized scores, etc. Very roomy. Plus I can also transport my percussion controllers when I need to transport those.

You'll find many reviews of this product. Some claim it is the worst of the worst, and some love it.

It is a beginners guitar set, so take it as that. The tones that can be achieved are very clear, and the single coil pickups are actually quite good for a cheap guitar. If you want a cheap 100 dollar ebay guitar, go ahead, the pickups will likely be totally unusable. These are usable.

The tone knobs and wiring inside aren't the greatest, but they do their job. There is some 'scratching' sounds when you rotate a few knobs.

The amp it comes with has some nice beginner features, and the headphone output is a plus.

If you want to learn how to play guitar, this has enough to keep you satisfied until you've learned enough to justify a better guitar or amplifier. The guitar is much better then the amplifier, so i would suggest getting a new amp first (what i am doing currently)

Note: buy new strings for your guitar too! The stock strings arent that great.

Also: Buy a guitar strap that is GOOD. The one it comes with slips off, and i hit the side of my guitar on the CORNER of a wooden table...thank god for paint and super glue.

As a frame of reference for this review, I am a novice guitar player that learned some basics on an acoustic guitar (that I still have) 25+ years ago. I do have a music background (I still play other instruments and have been in bands in the past) so that may give me a general advantage over someone just picking it up for the first time or someone that has only ever played Guitar Hero and has had no musical instruction. My old acoustic has spent all but a couple of hours of the last 25 years in the case, so I believe that qualifies me as a beginner. That said, this is a great set for a beginning player. The value here is simply outstanding. EVERYTHING you need is included.

Pros:

99.9% complete (see Cons) prestrung guitar; neck strap; amplifier; guitar/amp connector cord; soft carry case with handles, strap, and accessory pocket; automatic tuner; spare bridge spring; allen wrenches for neck and bridge, picks, headphones, instructional dvd.

Amplifier is light and very portable, but packs a decent punch. Great feature allows for separate input which can be used for a drum machine or a sample/background track to play with. Note that the input you use has to have its own volume/amplifer capability that can at least match the volume of this amplifier. You can't use this amp to adjust the separate input volume.

Guitar (I am a novice) seems to play well. You don't need a ton of effort to press the strings and the distance between string and fingerboard appears to be good. It is solidly built and also very comfortable to hold. Based on what little I know, it appears to replicate the functions of a 'real' stratocaster.

Tuner you need to know how to tune the guitar and you have to tune it before you can play it. This thing is almost fool-proof. Pop in a 9V battery, plug in your guitar and pluck a string. Turn the tuning knob for the string one way or the other. The tuner will light green when you are all set. It does have a manual and you should look at it to make sure you are following the string # if you don't know the note that correspond to each string.(From left to right as you look at it or the guitar, it starts with the fattest low E string first. The first and last strings have the same note letter, but the slimmest string is obviously a higher pitch.)

Instructional DVD you don't get any music theory, but you do get a ton of good information that gets you going right away. It is by no means a complete how-to, but it is a great addition to this set and should give you enough quick rewards to keep you going. (In my opinion, ultimately you should get some in-person lessons that contain some music theory and education so you know what you are doing other than just following the mechanics.)

Picks Good idea. I would not have thought of this. I think it makes sense to learn with them first or at least to understand and see the difference between picks and just fingers.

Cons:

Lots of head-scratchers if you've never been exposed to electric guitars, or more specifically a stratocaster with a tremolo bridge.

Got spare parts what are they for? There is a spring, a curved chrome bar with a plastic end, and a couple of allen wrenches. What are those for? Do I need to install something before I can play?

What is that little white switch for? Why are there two tone controls? What do I do with this curved chrome bar? I think I screwed it in correctly, but I'm not sure...

It would have been 5 stars if a model specific maual that had some details, how to install the "whammy bar" and how to use it, the pickup switch settings, which tone knob went with which pickup(s), why you would select one vs. the other playing situations, sound options, etc. You can get most of these questions answered by a quick trip to Fender's web site and poking around. The rest are at least hinted at or referenced in the included DVD. I can imagine someone that has never seen or used one of these before would be confused.

Nitpicks:

Including headphones is a nice touch, but really a waste of a few dollars. Give me a good reference manual instead (see Cons). I've got at least 5 sets of headphones lying around somewhere...

Amplifier manual is basic in the extreme. For example, "INPUT Plug your guitar in here". Really? And there is no real explanation of what normal and drive channels are all about.

Yes, the pickups are bargain basement. So what? They work just fine.

Yes, there is fret buzz (The small allen wrench that is included allows for adjustment of the string height at the bridge. That may help a bit?)

Yes, the strings are cheap. Again, so what?

If you are a beginner or even a casual player, YOU WILL NEVER NOTICE. If you are really an accomplished guitarist get over it and shell out some cash for something better.

Last note if you think you've outgrown this after learning to play or playing a while, think again. You can upgrade almost every component on this guitar. For those that are not made of cash, selectively upgrading components over time could be quite attractive. Much better than spending $500 $3000 depending on the model for a new 'real' stratocaster.

Bottom Line: For A COMPLETE starter kit you cannot do any better than this. Good quality. Great features. You can start playing immediately. Highly recommended.

what do u expect from a cheap and worth it guitar .i just received it like a week ago and stuck playing it . the thing that u need to change is the string if u received the guitar . the amp is good ! fender product as expected . and what i loved is that this guitar is made is indonesia and not CHINA !! indonesia stuff is way better than CHINA product for sure . but i guess a few month after this i will change the pick up to the original fender pick up . i dont think the pick up can last long , so better change it earlier .

the useless this is the strap ! i throw it away when i received it. try to get a better quality strap .

the bag is nice .. the tuner , i havent try it since they dont provide battery with it and i already bought another korg tuner . so until now , i havent touch the tuner .

All the components of this package seem to be high quality. I am a beginner, so I can't coment on sound or pure performance, just what i have seen and heard to date. Very Good material.

The Squier is a good choice for those who want a low cost investment. There are many inexspensive iupgrades that can be done over time. This guitar sounds good once youve tuned it and plays well out of the box. I recomend the 15G or better so you have the choice to use the amp to make a more metal-like sound if you are looking for a metal guitar, as this can be done easily. Grab some used single coil humbuckers and a wiring kit in the future to realy bring this guitar alive.

Pros:

Works better than the Backbeat Go for small ear canals.

After EQ adjustments (to try to get a flat sound) you can tell it's AptX enabled.

Can be tuned (EQ'd) to sound pretty good. This unit has a clear sound advantage over the Backbeat Go.

Cons:

Out of the box sound is disappointing (bass over powers highs, highs sound like busted speakers at times)

Requires extra charge cable. 10 mm driver probably prevents direct micro usb plug in like Backbeat Go. I could live with this issue.

Similar in basic design to Backbeat Go but inferior in Bluetooth signal retention. Sound drops out in situations where the Go has no problems getting a good clean signal from the phone. After a multitude of stereo BT headphones, I think this one has the worst signal retention.

Press and hold the + button to skip forward to the next track skips back! The press and hold of the button skip forward. Possibly defective unit.

Raised symbols on buttons not as proud as Backbeat Go. It harder to navigate by feel alone.

This unit was used on a Samsung Galaxy S4 with AptX. For reference it is compared to a Backbeat Go (1st gen) and Sennheiser PX 210 BT (another AptX device). No one expects the Air Fi Metro to sound like a PX 210BT but my AptX enabled headphones are all larger drivers units. If you have small ear canals and can EQ your BT source, this might be good for you. The signal retention and button issues takes this from 4-5 stars to 3. Plantronics makes this format work out from a RF perspective so it is a disappointment that MEElectronics couldn't do the same.

I'm using these with my Galaxy Note 2. These are the best sounding Bluetooth in ear headphones I've owned to date. I imagine the Apt-X codec is what's really making these things sing. I'm comparing the sound to the Motorola SF600 Wireless Sports Headphones Retail Packaging Black that I also own which also have Apt-X compatibility. The fit is what sets these a notch higher than the Moto's, they actually stay in my ear! The Moto's are much more bulky whereas these are not much larger than a standard pair of earbuds. I've included pics for comparison to standard earbuds.

Pairing was simple and quick. They also immediately repair with no lag when I turn them back on. That's a HUGE bonus for me. Nothing worse than having to re-pair a Bluetooth device every single time.

The charging clip is kind of odd and proprietary. If you loose it, you'll have no means to charge up your buds. I don't like that, but I don't usually misplace chargers so i'll deal. It appears that the unique charger is what allows them to be so small.

The volume controls are a great bonus, but they are a tad nondescript and may be cumbersome to use during a workout. The symbols/controls aren't raised quite high enough for easy tactile feedback.

The cord is nice and long, but not too long to be a nuisance. It does cause a tad bit of sound transfer when it rubs against your collar or something....but I've had that issue with wired headphones too. Tie it, or pin it up to keep it from contacting your collar and that'll take care of it. Again, this isn't a big deal at ALL.

I'm not confident that these are as durable as the waterproof Moto's...but they're much easier to put on and they stay in place! They're also more comfortable.

I think they're at the perfect price point right now just under one hundred bucks.....I was shopping these or the Jaybirds. Took a gamble on these and i'm glad I did! I can't imagine the Jaybirds being any better and worth the higher price point for the name brand.

Edit#1: So after a week or so of use, some things have come up that I felt needed to be included in my review:

-These buds significantly isolate outside sounds. If you intend to use them for workouts outdoors, please be aware that you may not be able to hear ambient noise around you. This could be a safety issue especially if you exercise alone.

-The cord design is prone to snagging on your collar, which in turn pulls the bud out of your ears. I'm not sure if it's the cord itself, or the controller. The controller does weight the right side of the earbuds a tad, and I've found it to be a little annoying when using while i'm moving.

-Range: the range on these is significantly shorter than my Motorola's. I tend to keep my phone inside my saddle bag on my bicycle. I get an extremely weak signal....almost not signal when i'm using it this way. I can't imagine the distance is anymore than 3 feet. It's not even deep inside my saddle back, it's on the top. I also used them while cutting grass and had my phone in my back pocket, the signal cut out a few times when using it like this as well. I know that bluetooth signal tends to degrade outdoors, but the motorola's perform a lot better for me in these two configurations.

-The ear wing things tend to slip off the surface and not stay in place. I fear that as they stretch more, they will eventually fail to remain in place at all.

I'm dropping a star off of my rating for these reasons. Still a solid set of bluetooth earbuds!

I love these headphones, I smile each time I pick them up to use.

First, to the most important thing... the sound. I held off writing this review, trying to put words to why I like the sound these so much. I did a lot of switching with my other Bluetooth headsets. It wasn't that I was 'wowed' with a rich, deep sound on these (the manufacture is probably cringing right now), but... the sound was just neutral. It felt good and accurate and effortless. The headphones got out of the way of the music. Perception of music and sound is so personal, what I love may not be your thing... but, I'm very happy with the sound of the Air-FI Metro. I pick these up every time I want to listen to music on headphones now.

The headphones are very sound isolating, so when putting them on with nothing playing, what you hear is markedly reduced. Which is problematic to situational awareness, but is a big benefit to quiet, soft songs. One thing which stood out to me for the sound is that that these headphones do not go as loud as any of my cheaper Bluetooth headphones. Of course, as the cheaper headphones got louder, they over saturated and sounded forced versus the Air-Fi Metro, which sounded great at any volume I played it at.

Next, the ergonomics of these headphones.. love love them. I pick these up and go. Using these is just effortless (and they sound great!). I have some issues with the cord itself, I think it is slightly too stiff, it catches on my neck and collar, pulling the ear buds out... I addressed this by using the wings that comes with the head phones. They significantly increase keeping the ear buds in the the ear. I didn't have any issue with knowing which control (+, on/off, -) I was pressing for the controller on the cord, and I have large hands.

A couple of things that could be improved... the Air-Fi Metro is called a Bluetooth headset, it has a microphone. I tried making calls with it, folks on the other end of the line could barely hear me. Why even put a microphone on these if it is just going to frustrate? Stick to strengths, the sound. Else improve the microphone. I've seen a number of comments on the proprietary charger and I agree. I have so much misc. equipment, I just do not want another type of cable to lose and/or break. I can see the size constraints driving the design, but really... deal with it, figure out how to make micro-usb work.

Pros:

+++ They sound great

+++ Simple to use, feel great wearing them

Cons:

Charger is proprietary

Useless microphone

Cord a bit stiff, catches

So I've listed pros/cons above... the first 2 pros vastly outweigh the cons for me.

I am very pleased with these headphones.

MEElectronics Metro bluetooth ear buds. These are by far the best sounding ear buds out there. They are very comfortable. I have worn them 5 days one hr. each day and they are still sounding great. They are well built and the case they come with is very sturdy. These are the most exspensive upper end earbuds I have ever bought and I am very pleased.

Just got this in the mail and started playing with it a few minutes ago. I've tried (and returned) several sets of bluetooth headphones in the past, and so far, this one addresses my primary complaint -audio quality!

I have a Samsung Note 2, which supports the aptX audio codec. At the risk of sounding like an ad for aptX, the difference between it and "regular" bluetooth audio is night and day. Before buying this product, make sure your phone supports this, or you'll get regular old bluetooth quality, which sucks.

I haven't used these long enough to comment on battery life yet. I'll update this review if I have any problems (really hoping battery life is decent).

Update:

I'm dropping a to 4-stars for very low range, at least on my Samsung Note II, which is currently the newest generation smartphone. I pretty much have to have my phone in my front pocket for music to play without cutting out in my back pockets gets me intermittent short cut-outs in audio. This isn't a deal-killer by any means, and 95% of the time this is how I would use the phone anyway.

To be fair, it's possible that this is an issues with Samsung's implementation of Bluetooth, but another reviewer mentioned the same thing, so it's probably the headphones.

I am an absolute newbie with sight-reading experience from my former choir singing days! I wanted to learn to play a piano but did not want the tuning and expense of owning the real McCoy and then find i didn't want to play it. Especially living in an apartment there were the neighbors to consider as well as the premium floor space. Then I came upon the digital piano and this form solved all my problems in one quiet swoop. You get what you pay for, so do some research on your must have and budget. I just knew that i wanted a brand name in the world of music so the yamaha was a given. Now I was deciding between the 161 and the 141, both new models released on 2010. I finally went with the 161 for the better hammer action and that it offered the 128 notes polyphony. These might be minor issues for you, but my passion to learn made me decide that rather than upgrade later, I would splash out a little bit more now and have the piano for a lot longer. If you live in an apartment like me, the bigger speaker offered by the 161 was not a huge selling point as I practice most of time with the head phones. Only when I wanted to show piece a well practiced piece do I unplug the headphones. The size of this piano is awesome and compact in depth and with the 88 keys, you have the grand piano sound without taking up a lot of space.

Other features include a metronome than can adjust for different time signature like 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, etc; 50 preset songs were you can mute either the right or left hand and you can practice with it (this is really for the intermediate player, but nice to look foreword to! The piano defaults to the grand piano output, but you can switch to outputs that include the organ sound, harpsichord, strings. Also nice are the options to set various digital reverb ranging from hall, room, stage or off, which is the default setting. You could also manually set the reverb effect, which is worth doing as it does change the output quite considerably.

The piano also records up to two tracks, which for a beginner is a great way to learn which part of the score that you need to practice the timing a bit more!

The 161 has two headphone plug INS to allow for a second listener. There is midi that allows you to record more of your own music onto a computer (for composition) or you can down load music to the piano too.

The weights of the keys are superb and I am loving the experience, the sound and the accessibility the digital format offer me.

For the price it is reasonable. It is worth shopping around for competitive bundles. I did not end up buying my piano here. But I am so happy with my experience that I really highly recommend this model for beginners who are looking to progress to play full scores. For beginners, I recommend the Alfred's adult all in one course. It is by far the best series out there. For a novice in the world of music theory, My husband is really impressed with the progress that I have made in less than one week.

For those who have wanted to fulfill a dream, don't hesitate any more, this is the best option and you will love yourself for buying it. Happy playing.

Update: September 2010: Try the piano and keyboard software! it is another fabulous tool for those who are teaching themselves to play the paino. It is a great supplement to the Alfred's all in one adult course. read my review on the software. I even more happy with the purchase of this piano!

Buy Yamaha ARIUS YDP-161 Digital Piano with Bench Now

I walked into the store with thousands, thousands! I was finally ready to buy a new, top-quality piano, after years of subsisting with used ones. I had been saving for years (literally), and was finally willing to go whole-hog on the piano buying.

I stroked the acoustic grands. Tempting, but I wouldn't be able to play them at night (when I am typically awake and the family is asleep), since there's no way to turn down the volume. So it had to be a digital one.

I went to the highest-end digital model, plugged in my noise-cancelling headphones, and started banging away. Impressive. But I noticed that a lot of features for which you're paying all that money are ones that I would never use (e.g., how often do I need a rhumba accompaniment?). Also, do I really need all those voices?

Finally I ended up just buying this one, the much cheaper Arius. I've had it for a year and I've had zero complaints about it. It's the same technology as that used on the higher-end models, so there'll be no difference whatsoever in the core piano sound. True, you can't do all that accompaniment stuff, but I never use it anyhow. There are fewer "voices," too. And you can only record one track at a time. Nor can you insert a CD.

But so effin' what? All that stuff wasn't worth adding THOUSANDS to the price! This one is smaller anyhow, so it can fit into more spaces. And I'm telling you, IT FEATURES THE EXACT SAME SOUND AS THOSE MORE EXPENSIVE MODELS.

In a way, Yamaha's kinda dumb to be doing this. Surely the word's gonna get around, isn't it? One would think that they'd jigger things so that their more expensive models had superior resonance, clarity, whatever -with the lower-priced models being palpably inferior. But currently -for who knows what reasons -this is not the case.

Hence these Ariuses are currently the best bargain on the market. If I were to compare how much I paid for this versus the hours of delight I've gotten out of it, I would have to rank it as one of the most profitable purchases of my life. Really when I play it for hours I totally forget I'm playing a digital piano.

You remember those old Toyota commercials from the 70's? "What will you do with all the money you'll save?"

Exactly.

UPDATE: After a couple of years with my Arius, I guess I can drum up a couple of complaints. Nothing that would invalidate what I wrote above; it's just that I like to complain.

1. The piano bench. There's a reason piano benches are benches and not chairs. Namely, since the piano keys extend quite a ways to one's left and right, for more complicated songs one needs to physically scoot one's behind a few inches this way and that. That is why piano benches are not only benches, but consist of smooth wood. But the piano bench that comes with this has a sort of vinyl padding that grips your behind and makes it difficult to scootch over without physically lifting oneself a bit. This misses the whole point of it being a bench.

2. The damper pedal seems not to quieten the sound so much as muffle it. This is my most significant complaint about the Arius. When you hit that pedal, it's supposed to make the sound softer. With the Arius, though, the sound is softer but also more muddy: it sounds like somebody threw a blanket over your piano.

3. Piano bench has no compartment where you can store your sheet music. Don't monkey with tradition!

4. There is a problem with audible sound cutoff when using the harpsichord. (This does not apply to the piano.) When you lift your finger, it sounds unnaturally cut off.

I love this piano. When I moved to a small apartment, I couldn't take my grand piano with me so I needed a substitute. This piano has the sound quality of a fine grand piano. The piano is a stand alone instrument and not portable. The key action and feel is so good that it's hard to know you are not playing a conventional piano. The ability to control the volume is a big feature for apartment living.

There is the ability to change the sound to other instruments, which is fun for a change of pace, but there are not the "bells and whistles," such as recording your performance or accompanying rhythms. It's an excellent and inexpensive replacement for a good piano.

I've had this piano about a month and have played it an average of a few hours a day. I played serious classical for many years growing up, and I can scarcely tell the difference between this and a regular piano, as far as the tone (it has two settings -bright and warm) and weighted keys. There's not the hammer-hit feeling or as extensive a weighted feel toward the bottom keys (though it has GHE graded hammer effect which does weight the keys more toward the lower register), but I can only tell if I really focus on it. While I'm playing, it feels and sounds great. It also comes with a full back and 3 pedals, which many pianos don't (with some, you have to buy a separate pedal with an ugly cord, and you only get the sustain pedal not the una corda or sustenuto pedals). There are a few other voices -choir, violin, organ, and harpsichord -and options for how sensitive the keyboard volume is to the touch.

If you're looking for something more versatile voice-wise, something for recording, or want a professional-level piano, this isn't for you (the next level up for Yamaha is the Clavinova series), but if you want a realistic feeling and sounding piano that's good for apartments or a smaller budget, this is a great option. I spent quite a while looking online before purchasing this, and tried out many similarly priced options at guitar center a few times, and this is definitely the best buy for the money. Particularly with the deal Amazon has at this time ($1,3499). I was able to put it together myself in an hour or two, which is more than I can say for most bookshelves I buy! Recommended.

We didn't have the space for a regular piano nor did we want to bother with the tuning and high price tag. We are VERY happy with this instrument. My daughter has progressed very quickly and says that the sound is better than her teacher's upright piano. The key action is realistic and the sound is wonderful. I'm very happy that we went with this over the YDP-141. The upgraded speakers and hammer action are definitely worth it. You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

I can't wax ecstatic enough about this product!

This is my first review here at Amazon, and that's how I am impressed about my purchase that I can't help but share my enthusiasm over this gadget. Over the years, I never bothered writing reviews for products I bought through this site since most had a preponderance of such. No need to waste people's time...

But before I dive into my review, let me first say that I've been probably over a dozen stereo Bluetooth products for the past five or so years ever since the first ipod touch came out with Bluetooth. The first few generations of stereo bluetooths were a joke. It was like listening through tin cans. I won't waste your time with details on these, but I've always felt that through all those headsets, I had a feeling that one very important and weak variable was my source unit the ipod touch and the iphone.

Both Apple products were good enough with wired headphones and some of the Bluetooth headsets produced fairly decent audio. But the one thing that always frustrated me with the ipod touch and the iphone were the lack of equalization options. There is no way to customize eq levels aside from the built in ios presets. The bass levels were just too low for my taste. For both the ipod touch and iphone, I've found the Nokia BH-505 to have the best bass output solid and substantial without rolling off. Unfortunately, the mids and highs were conspicuous in their absence. I also got the Sony BT-150, the full ear cup model. But the Nokia trumped it still in the bass department.

Last year, having had enough of Apple's bullheadedness in not providing customizable EQ levels, I migrated to the Samsung S3, then the Samsung Note 2, and now the S4. I installed both the JetAudio and PowerAmp players (bought paid versions for full options), and surprise, surprise audio was way, way better than the stock ios player on both the ipod touch and iphone. Yes, it's either the audio chip and/or the ios software that is limiting audio output of these two Apple products, but ... whatever.

The S4 plus PowerAmp combi was superior. I have used all my remaining six Bluetooth stereo headsets on the S3, Note 2, and S4 the Jabra Clipper, Nokia BH-215 (which I recently gave to a friend, so I am not sure if I got the model right), the Sony Ericsson MW-600, the Sony BT-150, the Nokia BH-505, and most recently the Creative WP-250. The Creative WP-250 trumps all as far as audio quality and comfort are concerned. Decent servings of bass, mids, and highs. While it was comfortable enough, it does have the tendency to loosen since the band is not "moldable". It loosens out of the ears after extended use or too much movement.

Enter the Jlab Go Bluetooth, version two, which I found out to have been released just last month at Amazon. When I ordered it the other week, I was somewhat hesitant because curiously, there were no reviews from the usual websites. Existing reviews were for the first version released last year which looks like the Nokia BH-505 in form factor. While the Nokia was above average in audio quality, the fit and comfort were just terrible. You were lucky if your skull fit the headset. The only reviews I found were customer reviews on the product page of the Jlab Go Bluetooth 2 here in Amazon, and they were not really that detailed. And I can't help thinking that these were "planted" since I can't find any pro previews from the usual tech sites.

And from where I am, there no Jlabs stores or dealers. After realizing that most of their ear sets are at the low end of the range, I decided that spending 50 bucks and getting a cheap unit wasn't too big a gamble since I still haven't found my holy grail Bluetooth stereo headset after five or six long years.

Anyway, it took some time for the product to get to me since I am overseas. I wasn't expecting much from 50 bucks since the most expensive I've bought so far cost me 200 bucks and it just ended up in the drawer.

Man, I have to say, the Jlab Go Bluetooth version 2 was a galactic surprise. This thing doesn't look like it costs 50 bucks. I mean, the build quality is impressive, the fit and finish and comfort are top notch. The neck band is fully customizable and can be shaped to your liking. I attached the largest ear tips and after an uneventful pairing and tweaks on the PowerAmp EQ levels on the Samsung S4, I have to say I have found Bluetooth nirvana at last and all for the ridiculously low price of 50 bucks.

Bass is plenty decent, mids alive, and highs very clear. Of couse YMMW and if you're using the iphone or ipod touch, like I used to, you may not get the same experience I am having with the S4 and to be clear, the major reason I have an S4 is the superior customizability of audio output through PowerAmp.

What can I say, I didn't expect to get a lot from 50 bucks. In fact, after just six months, the Creative WP-250 now goes into the drawer with all the others. If the Jlab breaks, the Creative will see the light of day again. But that may not happen because as early as now, I am thinking of getting another Jlab Go Bluetooth to alternate with the pair I am using now so I will never have to wait for it to charge. Hell, I am even thinking of ordering two additional units. I mean, $150 for all three pairs still is below the price I paid for the Sony BT-150, and look where it landed ... right into the drawer.

For those who are on the fence since Jlab is not really high end or because there are no detailed reviews on pro websites yet for this version 2, I say this is the best so far in audio quality and comfort right now.

Oh, and before I ordered the Jlab, I almost sprung for the Bluetooth Jaybirds at almost 200 bucks. I'm glad I didn't because the form factor of the Jlab is really what I've been looking for after drooling over that same form factor of the Sony NHW-273 which is merely an MP3 player and not really a Bluetooth headset. Glad I accidentally bumped into the Jlab before springing for the Jaybirds.

It just strikes me that if a company like Jlab can make a high quality Bluetooth stereo headset like the Go Bluetooth version 2, just imagine the possibilities if the "higher end" brands took a serious shot at it. Even if they succeed sooner or later, the Jlab has done it and is available now. One thing I've learned over the years of being an audio enthusiast, the law of diminishing returns kicks it very early. Now, I can't think of spending more that what I paid for these Jlabs to get "better" sounding Bluetooth headsets! And for me, that's a good thing.

Hope this mini review helps as I am sure there are some out there who are on the fence due to the lack of detailed reviews for this new product. Just get the damn thing and start enjoying already like I am!

Kudos to Jlabs and here's looking at your version 3 next year!

Opened the product and pleased to find different sized ear pieces to find the best comfort for my ears. Used on a telephone call for over an hour, the sound was great and person on receiving end had no problems hearing me. Listened to music right after and comfortable. The band that goes around the head needs to be adjusted to help stabilize the speakers in onto head but once adjusted correctly they fit very well. Did not exercise in them yet. Buttons easily accessible to skip songs, adjust volume. Recommend these to anyone who wants an affordable, quality set of bluetooth headphones.

I'm using this with an iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.2

I use these headphones for walking. But apparently, the distance between between the phone (which is in my pocket; thin sweatpants) to this set of headphones is too much. What, two feet? The sound consistently cuts in and out.

Putting the phone in the front pocket of a hooded sweatshirt isn't much better. And if I sit down... well, hardly any sound makes it through at all.

I guess I could put the phone in an armband or duct tape it around my head. But that defeats the purpose of the so-called freedom of Bluetooth.

Note that both the phone and the headphones were fully charged.

So, if you're using an iPhone 5 with iOS 7, I can't recommend these. They're going back.

Just to add, the fit in the ear is awesome. Also, the packaging is one of those nightmare deals.

To start, this cable is just what it needs to be. A not overly thick cable with good connections made to be durable. It works well, and is actually stereo (In case anyone was wondering, I know I have been really disappointed with "Stereo" cables before )

Now on to my modification.

I bought this cable to replace a headphone cable my cat decided to chew through, so instead of replacing the cat, I replaced the cable. When I got the cable, I plugged it into my headphones, and to a little bit of frustration, it did not fit all the way due to the way the port on the headphones was shaped. The plastic material around the plug was just a little too much to fit. It took me about 30 seconds to decide that it was time to get a box cutter and trim this plastic down.

It took about 5 minutes to get everything fitting well, and the cable works great.

If you are going to replace a headphone cable, be ready to cut some plastic.
