I am obsessed with the retractable earbuds for working out. I bought a $20 pair of Sony's, after my Emerge went out, and they were terrible. The sound was great, but they were not retractable and they would fall out of my ears, get caught on the machinery, etc. So, I bought these thinking my old Emerge had pretty good sound, so should these. The sound is terrible, but the concept is genius.

Does anybody know of a retractable set of earbuds that does not sound terrible? Please Help!!!!

March 14th Cont........I found them. Get the iblasters. Just got them in today and they are so much better.

I used these with my laptop. The sound was very tinny with a weird echo and actually gave me a headache. I would not recommend them.

These earbuds have every feature I could want. They retract smoothly and easily so that I am not fiddling with wires. They sound good and the buds are comfortable with several sizes to choose from. They are light so I don't notice the weight of the hub. I have purchased 3 pair now and keep them attached to the ipods so I don't lose them. I have yet to wear a pair out and I use them daily. They are actually hard to find except on Amazon so stock up!

The earbuds are not what you see on the picture. The earpiece is not like that of a stethoscope. The item I received had a drum like diaphragm maybe about the size of a dime that had a rubber rim. It did not fit in my ear. Sound was tinny and metallic.

At least returning to Amazon wasn't bad. Emails were confusing because if you email more than once, anyone can answer you and it's like starting from scratch even if they're messages are polite. Phone contact was great. Instant response, friendly. Got my refund promptly, less one cent for some reason.

Bought 2 of the RETRAK's thinking it is a novel idea. The straight attachment at the 3.5mm end on both are now broken. I guess from the "wringing" action.

Notice the newer ones have a 90 degree attachment. Have not tried, didn't want to invest again.

This is a sturdy headphone using 1/4" stereo plug that will last longer than the 1/8" version. It converts stereo to mono internally. It is comfortable and blocks out ambiant noise well.

A search for SSD singlesided deafness and headphones turned up very few useful hits but I ordered these and am very pleased.

These headphones have absolutely terrific sound! The stereo channels are combined and the sound is very crisp with good bass and treble.

It feels like "accurate" sound.

The circumaural padded design is comfortable and also isolates my music from coworkers and enhances the bass.

I had previously used the Cochlear BAHA audio adapter, but can't find it now. As I have hearing in one ear I looked for another solution and found these far cheaper than the Cochlear adapter. And of course it sounds better.

Another affordable alternative is an in-the-air earbud: the ScanSound 1-Bud Pro.

It is great when you need something smaller but the Stanton Pro 300 with its much larger driver is much better sound.

For either SSD or other one-ear listening purposes these headphones are no compromise and deliver a terrific listening experience!

You can never hear your pitch correctly with double headphones. These headphones are perfect for recording solo instrumentalists, ensembles, solo vocalists, and backing vocal groups. There is simply too much temptation with dual headphones for the talent to slip the other ear on (listening with one ear is inherently annoying) BUT when you do that you cannot hear the right pitch you're creating. Just a fact of acoustics, you will be "headphone flat". Many vocalists in the 60's and 70's had this problem, you can hear them consistently being an eight tone flat by wearing double headphones.

It's annoying to listen with one ear off, but get used to it for anything remotely approaching perfect pitch.

These headphones come with a 1/4 inch plug so you will need to buy an adapter to use with most devices, but the sound quality is good, they sound great. Also if you should be hearing challenged in one ear,(deaf), these are perfect for gaming or just listening to music. The quality of build could have been a little better, but for the price it is still a good buy. I would reccomend these to anyone. A good buy for the money.

It's pretty straightforward. All I wanted to do was connect my iPod to my soundbar without having to buy a cradle, and this connection does just that. Of course, it's not just for an iPod-pretty much anything with a standard aux port works well with this cable.

The first item I received was the wrong product. I was maybe a bit more upset about this than I should have been. The week before I had ordered a charger from a different vender, and it was wrong as well. That vender was a nightmare, and for the 9 dollars I spent, I ended up saying 'forget it'. So I was miffed at receiving two products in a row wrong, and the return hassle.

But this vender was very nice to deal with. Instead of having to wait for a RA to get my cable sent again, they put the right cable in the mail right away, and I had it in my hand in a couple of days. Great!

As far as the product, Walmart had a cable that looked cheap for 10 dollars. That's why i went to Amazon looking for a better cable. This cable is a better heavier cable, and it was only a couple dollars. It works perfectly, and that 7 dollars is better off in my pocket than in Walmarts. So Thanks!

fantastic little practice amp with enough headroom for some lower volume gigs. Keeping in mind that it is a 15 watt 6.5 inch speaker...dont ever think you'll be playing metal with a loud drummer and double bass and expect to cut through with this. but if you are playing without a drummer (maybe just a hand percussionist) or a conservative drummer it will cut through no problem, even a moderate drummer youll be able to hear this little guy. Its tone is bright and spanky yet strangely warm. thinking only of guitar plugged in with no effects it is well suited for some cleaner blues, more modern jazz stuff does the old school R&B chimey stuff really well (think bold as love by hendrix) It isn't the best thing in the world for old school jazz. for the wes montgomery thing rolling the tone off the guitar gets a little bit muddy, not bad but def not a fender twin or AER warm. with all that said it takes pedals well. despite its obvious limitations you can't expect to play a 50,000 seat rock venue with an amp that you can lift with your pinky, i think its a great amp that for rehearsals and jams with friends and even some lower volume gigs (think restaurant type of gig) works really really well and for the price? can't beat it. (p.s. its louder than its 25 watt version, although that amp is alittle more full bodied tone so its better for more classic jazz stuff) have both keeping them both because they are two extremely different amps.

True, the price is on the high side for this Foam Windscreen for AT4033 and 4050 (I paid $41.00 delivered). However this Foam Windscreen is guaranteed to fit and work on certain models of Audio Technica condenser microphones, so if you own one of the Audio Technica microphones this foam cover is made for, this could be a "must have" item, especially if your condenser mic is going to be used in dusty, dirty or smoker's environments. Dust, dirt and smoke are the enemy of condenser microphones. Dust, dirt and smoke will prematurely age the lifespan of condenser microphones or even cause the microphone to fail. I think $30 would have been a more fair price for this Foam Windscreen.

Full Compass Systems packed my Foam Windscreen for AT4033 and 4050 very well in a solid cardboard box. My AT8137 Foam Windscreen was still inside its original Audio Technica retail store packaging, meaning the AT8137 Foam Windscreen I received is definitely a genuine authentic Audio Technica product and not a "cheap grey-market copy" or a "fake".

I am using this Audio Technica Windscreen on my Audio Technica AT4040 Condenser Microphone and it fits the microphone well. Be sure to clean out the *inside* of this Audio Technica Foam Windcreen with a "dust off" compressed air cleaning canister, or a slightly damp, clean cloth before you put the foam windscreen on your condenser microphone since the Windscreen for AT4033 and 4050 I received had a significant amount of very small loose foam particles inside of the foam windscreen. If I hadn't noticed the loose particles of black foam before I slipped the Foam Windscreen for AT4033 and 4050 onto my condenser microphone I am certain the loose foam particles would have gone into the condenser microphone itself. That would have been bad.

If you can find another model or brand of Foam Windscreen which fits the very nice Audio Technica Condenser Microphones the Foam Windscreen for AT4033 and 4050 fits, then post your findings here. :)

Decided to check these out, and am not disappointed. Design-wise they are very similar to another favorite inexpensive IEM, the Spider realvoice. They are also a bit like some Audio-Technica and Sony designs, very comfy.

They definitely are not stealth in-ear monitors as they are pretty long and certainly not a close-to-the-ear look. They have a nice robust bass, which I figure will settle down a bit with burn in and use. Treble and mids are balanced. I would say the phone tends to bass, but not offensively. I am no basshead, but the Onkyos approach a max bass sound to me. Comfy as all get out. On the other hand, I would consider these phones for home use, not on the go. For one, no iPhone/Android controls (a must for me now). Also, they are not snug fitting due to their design. So you get comfort and great sound, but would not want to move around much with these. They feel a bit loose in terms of sound isolation as well, and no doubt need more volume in a noisy environment. So these are staying home, with an amp/iPod Classic setup. They almost have the same sound quality of an ear bud or full sized headphone, but are much more comfy then either for my preference. So they are great for an at home phone, very good price to performance ratio. And no EQ required at all.

The only caveat for me is the stock tips are very flimsy and with the less than deep insertion, they feel unstable. Not saying they are unstable, they just feel that way. So I swapped for some UE900 tips I had around and they work great. I am using mediums, perfect match. The UE tips are more stable, stronger due to their design, so they feel more secure. The OEM tips are very thin, too thin. They feel like they are not secure though they do sound good.

The removable cable is interesting, clear/white and very soft. Nice, but a shirt clip (not supplied) is a must for moving around.

I recommend these phones. Onkyo has made a very strong initial foray into in-ear phones with these. No, the design is not anything innovative, but it's a solid comfort design. I wish they would sell an iPhone cable for these. I'd be first in line to buy one.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Earbuds to be effective must be 1)comfortable, 2)sturdy, and most importantly, 3) provide good sound.

The Onkhyo In-Ear Headphones do it all.

1) Comfort The Onkyo earbuds come with three earpads small, medium, and large. That not only means that both my tall husband and I can use them, we can each use the size that works best for us. And to be honest, I like not having to share.

They're comfortable and I have no problem leaving them in for hours.

2) Durability They're carefully crafted. The cord disconnects if it's snagged or tugged, and even better, can be replaced if damaged. A small zippered carrying case is included; it has room for my I-Pod and will easily fit in a pocket or purse.

3) Sound The sound is balanced, crisp, and clear with a clean solid bass. And the body of the earbud is designed to be vibration free. Credit for the sound also goes to the newly developed 14.3 mm drivers and my favorite part the copper cable covered in elastomer insulation. (No, I have no idea what 'elastomer' is; but I do know that it works.) There's no 'crackle' when the cord is inadvertently touched.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'm a headphone nut. My current favorite in ears are a pair of custom 1964 Quad customs and I paid top dollar. My second favorite headphone? The Onkyo IE-HF300.

The build quality is great. Very solid headphones with a detachable cable and earpieces that swivel. The cord is white and quite thick. The biggest issue with the head phones is that the cable is noisy when it rubs against anything. This can be really annoying and more expensive headphones typically don't suffer from this. On the plus side they rarely get tangled.

Now onto sound.

The bass is very satisfying had had great reach. The mids get a little bit muddled here but not bad and a non-audiophile won't even care because they will be too busy trying to shut their mouth after hearing the low end. Treble is fine. Nothing spectacular like the silky smooth highs of Sennheisers but really nothing to complain about. Listening to some modern day over-produced pop help these things shine. They can really thump against your ear drums.

Overall I am quite pleased and also surprised by how great these are for only $129. I'd say they are comparable to the popular V-Sonic GR-07's although I have not heard the bass edition of those headphones.

Read Best Reviews of Onkyo IEHF300S In-Ear Headphones Here

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The IE-HF300(s) IEMs are part of Onkyo's new line of headphones designed to acknowledge the trend towards portable devices. They have a very sculptural and unabashedly modern appearance reminiscent of the osseous structures of the ear or some of Henry Moore's work, rendered in black and titanium.

The replaceable cables are 6N-Cu (99.9999% copper) with silvery braided shielding, coated in a translucent elastomer to drastically reduce microphonics and prevent tangling, with the trade-off being that they are slightly stiff. Also remarkable are the gold-plated MMCX or micro-miniature coaxial connectors that snap into place, a scaled-down version of those used for cable television.

The sound quality is quite good though weighted towards the lower frequencies, noticeably but not obnoxiously so. Onkyo used a larger-than normal 9/16 in. dynamic coil transducer, a chamber in the cylindrical base, and an unusually rigid enclosure to produce this bass emphasis without sacrificing quality in the mid-range frequencies. The result is earphones that are quite versatile and make for pleasant listening for anything from Charles Bradley to Philip Glass even for someone like me who cringes at anything thumpy. Soundstage is good though not particularly expansive, similar to other quality IEMs. Isolation is better than average with the right tip size.

I was worried about comfort because they are large and heavy but the weight is very well-balanced. Four sizes of standard silicone tips are included and they fit the stems tightly and don't fall off. The earpieces are clearly marked "L" and "R" even though the design instinctively distinguishes between the two and the cable connections are color-coded. The zippered soft-shell case has a handy mesh divider to separate a small mp3 player or extra tips.

Overall, Onkyo IE HF300(s) are a very nice pair of IEMs, quite versatile, with impressive design and engineering and some surprising features for this price range. I have no complaints about them, and given the comfort and enjoyable sound, very highly recommend them. The only caution is that these are intended for listening to music and do not have telephone controls on the cable.

Want Onkyo IEHF300S In-Ear Headphones Discount?

Great sounding earphones, detachable cables, I think they are attractive and sleek looking. Although I don't really care what they look like. The big problem for me with these earphones are I really can't use them for active things, such as running, yoga, or even washing car. No matter what tips I use they just won,t stay in my ears. I bought both of onkyo on ear and in ear models, sound quality is fantastic on both models, but these are my first pair of in ear and they just keep falling out of my ears during activity. If I could get them to stay in my ears they would get 5 stars.

For a budget headphones, this is very well built and sounds great. The bass is above normal so audiophiles will score them low. However, the majority of users will prefer that.

They are moderately comfortable. They rest exactly on your ear lobe and not around/over them, so they press down on your ears. This can lead to discomfort after wearing them for long periods.

As a DJ headset, they are ok for bedroom DJs. The cord is very long and this is good. The headphone fold up pretty neatly into the included carry case. The ear pads are covered in a thin plastic or leather looking material and this cracks up easily, making them look old. I dislike that.

Bottom line.. worth the 30 bucks...

Buy Stanton DJ PRO 60W DJ Pro 60 Headphones (White) Now

Terrible set of headphones. Uncomfortable fit, and they look really, really ugly and awkward. Mediocre sound quality, broke very easily. I would never buy these again. It was a terrible waste of money. I would much rather buy a slightly more expensive pair than go for these, because they broke and had to be replaced far too soon. I wouldn't recommend these for use with an mp3 player at all, because the cord is wayyyy too long for easy portability.

As I said in the title of this review, I wanted desperately to like this roll-up piano. A little background: I am a "real" degreed organist, but I am also on the road a lot for my primary job. As such, I really wanted something that was ultra-portable that I could put in my suitcase and take with me. Pianos in hotels are surprisingly hard to come by, and pipe organs in hotels are even more rare!

So though I did't have huge expectations, I decided to try one anyway, partially because Amazon's return policy is very good (thanks, Amazon). When I opened the box, I was impressed with the size, and it IS truly portable. It was nice to have 61 keys, which happens to be the same compass as the keyboards on a modern organ. The notes seemed to work pretty well, and it was great to be able to have lots of different voices, rhythms, etc. I was under the false impression that as long as I have been playing, I wouldn't need the tactile sensation of 3-D physical keys to play. I was wrong! I tried playing various pieces, including simple hymns, and I sounded like a beginning piano player. I couldn't play well at all. Nonetheless, I did have the impression that I could eventually get used to it and play OK. I would have been willing to wait longer and see.

But the clincher for me was the MIDI functionality. It did NOT work well at all. I plugged it into my computer to try it out with Hauptwerk virtual organ software. It did not send proper Note On / Note Off signals to the computer. Notes would frequently not play, or if they did play, they frequently stuck ON. I tried various settings in the software to tweak it for the Yamano input, but after quite a bit of tinkering, gave up. It does NOT work properly with MIDI. If it were cheaper, I would have kept it for my children to play with. It really was "fun," but definitely not good enough for the price for me to keep, and it did NOT work well enough for what I needed it for. It has been returned.

I looked for a roll-up piano, after seeing one on an episode of House! I travel for my work frequently, and decided it would be great to have a portable keyboard to be able to keep practising when I travel. It's also an excellent way of relaxing in an hotel room after a busy day of meetings. What could be better, after dinner and a few laps in the hotel pool, than to play a little Bach or Beethoven.

Reading the reviews, this Yamano Hand Roll piano seemed to best option for a decent sized keyboard. But I have to see, it is really primitive technology. While it does indeed roll out to a decent size, the electronic unit is very clunky and the sounds are, shall we say, embarrassing. Worse still, its very temperamental. The sound just stops. I would have sent it back straight away, but then discovered that it still works with earphones. Which is in fact fine for what I want to use it for.

In conclusion, I would love to find a better quality roll-up piano that will fit in my hand luggage. Until then, I'll make do with this Yamano.

Oh, and one other thing. It's described as being 'digital'. You would think it would have a USB link to connect to a laptop, to use with Garage Band or similar. But no. The design seems to predate laptops.

I am a musician, but I'm deployed to Afghanistan, and I miss all my instruments. Also, I wanted to work a specific music project for which I needed a piano. I bought this because it wouldn't take up too much space in my sleep area and I could use headphones with it. I keep it rolled up in its pouch tucked under my bunk when I don't use it, and I got a plank of wood and sawed off an end to make it the right size so I can play in my sleep area with my headphones and not bother my battle buddies. It feels great to have music in my life besides just listening on my iPod. So far, I haven't had any problems with it. It's a pretty neat music gadget when you can't really have a real kkeyboard or piano for whatever reason.

As a professional opera singer myself, I did buy this piano in absolute personal needs. I needed something very light and portable. Therefore I didn't expect much of function as a "PIANO". However, this piano is beyond my expectation. To me it works well. Of course, it does have silicone key board so touch is different from the real key board either regular or electric piano but I'd absolutely say it's tolerable. The sound is about the same with middle quality electric piano. Just take in consideration about the price I did buy in price of $69.99 and special fuction being portable ),I'd recommand this item to my coulleagues and friends with no hesitation.

This is an awesome bass that sounds great and has everything you need to start playing as soon as you get it out of the box. The only disappointment I have is the tuner did not work. It looks like the wires to the battery were loose. That can be an easy fix if you know how to solder. I already had another tuner, so it was not a problem for me. I have read on several other reviews that the tuner did not work as well, so I think that Fender needs to take a look at these tuners and correct the issues, but other than that it is a great package. This is my first bass guitar and man is it cool! The Rumble 15 Bass Amplifier sounds great, the headphones are of good quality, the gig bag seems pretty good but I've only used it one time and the instructional DVD will have you learning the notes and playing some licks within 30 min. I suggest that you find some songs that you know on u-tube and play along with the notes. I also found a really good website , that you can search for nearly any song and choose your instrument and play along. Overall the package is a great buy for $299. I reviewed several bass guitars and it was between the Fender bass and an Ibanez and I went with the Fender package because it was a complete package and was convenient to order through Amazon...and arrived within 5 days. I had gifts cards to Amazon also. I have never played bass before, (a little on acoustic) but I can tell you that the bass is much easier to learn and play. So if your looking to get something that looks good and sounds good and does not cost too much, this one is great. Just be prepared for the tuner to not work.

I'm really enjoying this kit! It does have *ALMOST* everything you'd need to get started playing bass. The only things I'd suggest are the following:

Some sort of guitar stand. The kit doesn't come with one, and it's nice to have. The stand I have is around $10. It also does a good job of reminding you to play. :-P

A "Y" cable that's got two RCA connectors on one end and a 3.5mm connector on the other. This lets you use the "CD" input on the amp to play along. This should cost no more than $2-3.

A little background on meBrand new (adult) bass guitar player starting out without ever having played a guitar before (except for Guitar Hero & Rock Band). Was looking for a bass guitar to get myself started with, without breaking the bank. I didn't want to spend a $1,000+ dollars on a bass and all of the necessary gear in order to learn. What if I stunk or ended up just not liking it. I'd be stuck with a ton of semi-expensive gear to get rid of. A friend of mine who plays guitar mentioned picking up this pack.

For the price you really can't beat it. It has everything you need to learn. Aside from the bass guitar, you get a amplifier, cable, shoulder strap, gig bag, tuner, tools for changing your strings and headphones, as well as an instructional DVD. I will say that the headphones are sub-par. Luckily, I had a good pair of Sony headphones with a 1/4" connector that I can plug right into the amp. This way when I practice at night, I don't wake up the whole house. Also, the tuner is Ok. It works, but I feel that it takes a bit to pick up the sound coming from the strings. I decided to replace it with the Snark SN-2 clip on tuner which a lot of people are raving about. That is my choice, but again, the one that comes in this pack is servicable.

To buy these items separate you are looking at approx $360 and that doesn't include an instructional DVD

Squier Affinity Bass$179

Rumble 15 Amp$99

Tuner$8

Gig Bag-$25.00

Strap$15

Cable$12

Fender Headphones$20

Overall, if you are just starting out with learning how to play bass this pack is a great value. If you are already a pro, I'd say you'd probably find better. The only flaw I see with this pack is that it doesn't come with a stand for the bass. I picked up an OnStage XCG4 Tubular Stand separate for $12.

Im disappointed in the purchase I received. The $5 A/V cord I bought from Radio Shack ended up having better quality then these. Every time the cord moves or isnt set properly there is static or the quality is lost.

Works with Ipod classic, 3.5mm phono jack connection works intermittently. It does not appear to sit snuggly in the headphone jack. It will display video, but picture quality depends video compression.

Recently purchased this cable to solve my issue of not getting 7.1 audio from creative audigy 2. Noticed it seems to be for ipod but it works great to enable the side speakers. Cables look and feel good, comparable to say those made by philips (no need for monsters). Not really cheap though but decently priced. The packages can use some improvement, came broken a little but cables are intact.

I like to be different, i dont like to have the same or "most popular" item. These headphones fit that bill. The sound is pretty good, and they fit fine once adjusted. The price was a little high but they are not your average headphones. They are not studio phones but they do the job for me.

I bought this cello because I couldn't afford the big gnarly cellos (yet). I couldn't find any reviews on THIS particular model, so I hope this helps someone in the future. The cello came in a box with good packaging. The bridge was not installed. I've only played an acoustic cello before, so a little guidance would have been helpful here. Had to look at the pictures on the Cecilio website to figure out that the bridge goes right on top of the pickup. Got the bridge up, strings tightened some then put the battery in. OK, that worked. Plugged in the cheap headphones that come with it. Nothing. Tried the other jacks. Nothing. Tried the 1/8" to 1/4" cord into a mixer. Nothing. I called the manufacturer and they were less than helpful. They figured the guy in India (from Amazon)would have MUCH better information than the manufacturer. While I was fuming and contacting the guy in India my husband messed around with it some more. We found out that it has to go from the PHONES jack to the mixer and had to be in there JUST right in order to work. So as soon as I nudge it a bit, have to mess with it again. The good news is that it DOES work and it DOES sound like a cello. You can hear it just fine without it being turned on or plugged in, its just not as loud as an acoustic cello would be. I'm going to see about getting the electronics changed in it so that it DOES work correctly because I like the frame on it. Oh and the bridge is too high...probably about as tall as the pickup is. So i have to either get a new bridge or sand this one down a bit. For $300 what are you gonna do. Cellos aren't cheap and the cheap cellos are...well...cheap. At least its a good place to start from to re-learn the cello.

I was able to assemble this cello and have it playing within an hour of UPS delivery. It had everything needed to start, including a battery, which is very easy to install and replace. The bow is a basic student model, and the case is just a thin fabric, but for the price it's a supreme bargain!

The fit and finish is excellent, it looks great, and plays easily. The fingerboard has some areas that are not quite smooth, which can show up on any cello, but other than that I've used it indoors and out, with a bass amp and also through a direct box to a mixer at a ball game. Never dared take my 19th century cello out into that environment. So I definitely recommend this item.

I ordered this Cello on Monday September 5, 2011 and received the Cello on Friday September 9, 2011 delivered by FedEx. It came in a box and like the other review said I had to install the bridge (which was in the case). Everything seemed to be well just a little dusty. The support that comes up to your chest I accidentally broke because the screws it had were really short, I found some that were a little longer and replaced them and everything is fine. I play it at my church and every one can hear it and they were pleased at how it sounded and so was I. It has a couple of rough spots. My A string twangs when i play the 4th finger D in 1st position, the fourth position on this cello is a little higher up the neck than you would think if you are used to acoustic cellos. Cheap strings an alright bow but everything was great It came with cheap headphones and a battery. A carpenter at my church was excited about the cello and he wanted to see it, he examined it and said that the cello was maple which is strong wood so I was really well pleased with this cello.

First, a little background. I played cello in high school over 40 years ago and decided I wanted to get back into cello.

It seems there are 2 areas as far as prices are concerned the "inexpensive" cellos, and then the ones that break the bankthere seems to be very little in between. I bought a few of the imported "inexpensive" acoustics, but they lacked good tone. All the cellos needed bridge and nut work, and better strings. I finally found an older acoustic that has good tone, but still am not happy with the overall instrument.

So I decided to venture into electric cellos, where most of the sound is controlled by the pick-up and amp combination. It is not so much relying on the "speaker" of the big cello wooden box. Again, there is the $300+ range, and then into nearly $2000 range, so I bought this cello, in the Mahogany color.

All I can say is Wow! Packing was great, the fit and finish is excellent. It had the usual issues mainly lesser quality strings, and high string height.

I have added better strings, fitted a new bridge, and lowered string height at the nut. Now it plays great, and does not have the attendant problems that an acoustic cello may have. I found, with proper amp setting, I can achieve a fairly natural cello sound and then there are also effects that can be done!

The only other issue I had, was trying to hold and play it in the same position as an acoustic was awkward. There is no "depth" to the bouts where I usually rest on my leg, and the back rest seemed to hurt my chest. I solved all this with the addition of a small clamped on bracket that I made which simulates the bout, and some foam padding on the wood back rest.

It plays well, has all ebony fittings, looks good, and now I can hold and play it just like the acoustic. I would recommend this cello for all but the most professional players, as you get a lot for the money. Keep in mind, that some bridge work may be needed to suit your style.

Got this Cecilio Electric Cello in Mahogany in December 2012. I have played guitar, bass, drums, and done studio recording for >10 years and wanted to learn the cello. The price on this was perfect so that I don't feel guilty if I don't play it a ton.

FIRST NOTE: The first cello I received was cracked THROUGH THE NECK where the scroll meets the fretboard. Cecilio and Amazon gave me no trouble in returning that one for a brand new cello, and for that their customer service gets a hand.

That being noted, it is what I would expect for $300. Body is pressed wood, sealed with a nice varnish. The neck is a smooth, well-planed rosewood(?) painted black, which plays well with no dead spots noted. Bridge seems to be quality and didn't require additional adjustments/shaving for the action to be correct. The nut is spaced properly and the height seems appropriate.

The pickup works well and is even sensitive to body vibrations (tapping, movement) much like that on my A/E guitar seems to be an okay piezo. HOWEVER it DOES get overloaded at times when bowing heavily on 2 strings simultaneously. I haven't yet found a way around this and the distortion created can be annoying when plugged in. Amplified sound through my Bogner is pretty cool especially when running it through my guitar effects pedals.

Electronics on the back are simple enough. No, it isn't an expensive Fishman or LR Baggs preamp, but it gets the job done. In the future I may retrofit it with a high-quality acoustic/electric preamp and a 1/4" TS out. It is nice of Cecilio to supply the 1/8" TS to 1/4" TS cable.

Strings on this aren't great, so a new set will be on it's way soon, but they're playable. Tuning pegs stuck well in tune in

So I bought this Yamaha Grand Piano keyboard and stand at my local Guitar Center. Guess what? The AC adapter is not included. This made me sad and a little nervous, like when my pajamas keep falling down. So I went searching for a power adapter. So this kit includes not only the AC adapter, but a set of headphones, some CD Roms, AND a certificate for an xtra year warranty on the keyboard. So I am not so nervous now. The jammies are staying up, and I am playing beeeyootiful music. See you in Carnegie Hall, baby!
