The closest thing I have ever seen to this is a USB box I used about a decade ago called the Edirol UA-100 (also Roland). Like the V-Studio 20, the UA-100 allowed you to add effects to your guitar or vocals and, although not exactly like COSM, the UA-100 had great effects, especially for its time. Surprisingly, the older UA-100 set up an expectation for better reamping possibilities than the 12 year younger V-Studio 20 could deliver, and that was my only disappointment with this unit. I like to record my signal dry to the DAW while monitoring with effects, so that I can have complete flexibilty to change that sound later. The V-Studio 20 allows this, but unlike the UA-100, you cannot monitor the guitar mix, while reamping, without hearing the guitar effect applied to all the other tracks. Therefore, if you are using ONLY this unit with your DAW, you must mute the rest of the mix (or solo the reamped guitar signal) to apply an effect to a previously recorded clean guitar track. Easy enough to do but NOT conducive to making context-related decisions during mixdown. I solved this problem by using my FA-66 Firewire box as a monitor for the main mix (using the WDM/KS drivers with SONAR, as ASIO does not allow multiple soundcards at once) and running the headphone output of the V-Studio 20 into the left and right inputs of the FA-66. To me, this kind of sucks that I have to do this, but it is working flawlessly with no timing issues. Now, FOR MOST PEOPLE, this probably won't be an issue, as most guitarists I know like to record by printing the effects to the final recording immediately. But if you are a reamping freak who likes to audition different guitar sounds in the context of a mix, you better be sure to have another sound card to monitor the other tracks in your DAW. Other than this personal nag, I really love this unit. The effects sound great, it works flawlessly with SONAR, it looks good, feels durable and is quite flexible.

I've used this with both my WinXP machine (Guitar Tracks, Sonar Home Studio 7, AND Sonar X1) and my OSX Lion machine with ZERO problems. The FX launch button doesn't work on Mac but this is a tiny gripe. The FX panel works as an app and plug-in on Mac in Logic and Garageband. The audio quality is good though the pre's don't have a lot of gain. Compact, sturdy, useful.

Possibly a tiny bit overpriced considering what it does but a fantastic item regardless. I love mine.

12-06-12. I have a Bose Companion 3 computer speaker set with a Acoustamass bass unit connected to my computer. The cable that comes with the Bose unit is heavy gauge wire but only 6ft long and has been a nusiance in that I could not install it from the rear of my computer due to spacing requirments in my home-office. I tried using a longer cable such as the iMBAprice Pro iMBA Series Stereo Audio Cable 12 Feet Gold Plated 3.5mm Male To 3.5mm Male Stereo Audio Cable Lifetime Warranty from amazon.com, but the wire is too small a gauge to effectively transmit the bass signal from the computer to the Bose bass speaker unit. Based on another review, I ordered the PREMIUM 20FT 3.5mm Stereo Male to 3.5mm Stereo Male 22AWG Cable Gold Plated and find that while much longer than I need, it has the wire gauge and quality to accomplish the objective of getting good audio response to the speaker without losing signal strength. I did not do any technical signal tracing measurements; just used my ears and the simple volume tools normally on the computer. Sound reproduction is excllent. The PREMIUM 20FT 3.5mm Stereo Male to 3.5mm Stereo Male 22AWG Cable Gold Plated cable is heavy duty stuff and well made.

Good quality, great length, nothing bad to say about this purchase. Good for permanent installation due to the size of the cable.

I wanted an upgraded audio cable...this has larger diameter wiring. But the connector piece with the metal plug is wider than average, and i needed to use an x-acto blade to "shave off" some of the bulk before it could fit into the connection behind my monitor. Other than that...works great.

Moving low power signals 20 feet is really hard actually, this cable has all the specs to deliver the signal with no loss or degradation. Used in our studios. A note in usage tho, this cable is two cables bonded together, one for each channel, thus it has weight and stiffness due simply to it's high quality construction. It is best used between equipment.

If you want to buy this item hoping to save some money buying all this things as a bundle skip this. The mic itself is awesome nothing to complain about that. everything else is really crap.

If you see the the image you will see four items altogether, as far as what i got i only received 3 out of 4 items. The pop filter doesn't fit the mic at all i had to affix it to the mic with some wires. The size of the pop filter is way to small for the mic.

The big set of headphones were useless as well. They felt flimsily and weren't so big, They looked and felt like something you would find at the dollar store in the bargain bin, complete crap. I put the on for less than five minutes to test how they felt and sound, hung them on my mic stand, when i went to use them they didn't work. The small ear bud were missing, can't review that. The reason why i didn't return them was because of the time it would take for shipping and because of the possible re-stoking fee. I'm completely disappointed with this seller would not recommend nor will i buy from this seller again. DON'T BUY.

I bought this package expecting to receive the Blue Microphones Yeti USB (which I did receive), a Pop Filter (which I did receive), and Noise Isolating Headphones with ear plugs (which I did not receive.) Instead, they sent me a generic set of stereo headphones and a rag in a bag. This is not what I paid for.

The Blue Yeti microphone is worth buying outside of the package. Fine performance, top of the line USB microphone. I use mine for podcasts and it is impressive. I have also used the POP Filter included in the package and it too is a nice product.

However, when the picture shows Coby Noise Isolating Headphones and Ear Plugs, that is expected to be included or that is called false advertising. In fact, the company name doesn't bother me as much as I didn't get what was mentioned as being included. After reading several reviews about this issue and the poor response from the company, I'm not going to send anything back, but if you read this, please don't waste your money on this kit. Buy the products separately. You might pay a little more but you are guaranteed to get what you are buying.

This is honestly the FIRST TIME I have ever been disappointed with a purchase from Amazon. FOCUS CAMERA LLC is the company that sold me my kit, so I suggest staying away from them when possible. I don't blame Amazon, but I hope this review persuades you to reconsider purchasing this kit!

...but the other stuff is pretty lame.

After ordering this combo, I just looked at the headphones and pop filter and saw the phones looked chintzy-cheapo-BAD, and the pop filter was NOT really designed for the Yeti mic so I called and asked to return them.

Ace Photo Digital said "No Problemo, send them back!" but would only allow a $20 credit for both the phones AND the pop filter". Since I found the same mic straight from Amazon for $97 and free shipping, there is no way I can even justify keeping that now, and have returned all.

Sorry Ace! You lost this sale with a couple of poor item choices stuffed in a box with a great microphone and sold as a Studio (quality) setup. Junk is junk, even you guys will only give me $20 on return for both the headphones and the pop filter!

But the Yeti is just too cool for words.

(And Ace Photo Digital gets kudos for giving an immediate RMA, good attitude, and great customer service!)

the items work well and everything was as expected! Good quality recordings. I use the equipment for all sorts of recordings from solo, to bands, to hiphop artists. Well pleased with it all except for where the item was shipped from... Austin Bazaar. This company is just moral hazard. They shipped everything and left out the pop filter. Which is okay, but not really good representation of business. They did not contact me to inform me the reasons why, so I took it upon myself to contact them. They replied very bluntly with "Your item has been shipped. You will receive shortly." ...weeks now... and haven't received anything. "Shortly"? I would have been satisfied with just your items been shipped. I purchase the items, they make the mistake, I have to contact them, and they aren't even close to quick with the responsibility of making sure I receive the item, "shortly"... I don't usually tripp on this kind of thing, but Amazon requested my personal review and I've been wanting because of Austin Bazaar.

Try ordering from another company! Have a good day.

So I started off looking for a simple headphone amp for my bass guitar which range in price from $40 to $80 amd my guitar player friend recomended that I get a small bass effects pedal. And long story short this thing is a headphone amp, a tuner, a amp simulator, a multi effects pedal, and a drum machine all in a $49.00 package.

Sounds great, works great, not the best out there, but for the price, it worked for me. Used it on the worship team a few times, and also practicing at home. I wouldnt use it for my main gigs though too many drunks stomping around.. and this little thing is plastic. But it works goodly enough for most things :)

I use this effects unit every-time I play bass.I can almost all-ways find a group of settings that fit the sound that I want. The only reason why I gave this unit a 4 is because it can be kind of tedious to adjust all of the presets to edit an effect setting. If I am searching for a unique sound that I will like, it can take up to 5 minutes to go through the coding to find a good setting. Also, I recommend the Zoom B2 for added durability as the B1 is more for practice with plastic and rubber hardware.

Want Zoom B1 Bass Multi Effects Pedal Discount?

I was looking for something to reproduce the high quality effects that are contained within Cool Edit but pre-signal for live shows as opposed to post-signal for recording.

These Zoom units come pretty damn close!

I am running this into a Hartke rig so I started out dialing in the Hartke simulation and then adding one effect at a time. It is true that some effects are more experimental than others but there are more than enough that are usuable straight away.

If you already have a compressor, it's best to turn the one inside the Zoom off and set the eq flat to start. Also, don't forget to store any changes you make straight away in one of the user banks.

Otherwise these are pretty straight forward to use and you really can't go wrong by simply exploring the full possiblities of ONE effect at a time with the SAME amp simulation.

Highly recommended!

Very cheap, feels cheap, very plasticky, but sounds good. It is like a sonic pocket knife for the bassist. I have used it live to emulate cabinets and connect the bass directly to the PA without carrying all the gear other than the bass, the pedal and the cables.

I know it will never sound like the real rig, but from an economic and practical point of view is more cost-effective. People won't notice the difference live(if you set it right), and you won't break your back carrying the bass amp nor your pocket.

The Blue Snowball microphone is a wonderful product. Studio quality through a USB connection! Look closely at this package though, as the headphones are Coby, and anyone concerned enough with quality to purchase a Blue mic, will probably not be happy with the headphones. My fault, I did not look closely enough. The add says studio headphones, and I suppose that is open to interpretation. I would in no way consider Coby to be a studio quality brand--being they are about as far down on the food chain as you can get. Still, for the mic, pop filter and two sets of headphones (you can probably pawn them off on your grandkids for an x-mas/b-day gift), this is a pretty good deal.

Buy Blue Microphones Snowball Plug-and-Play USB Microphone in Brushed Aluminum with Studio Headphones a Now

The microphone works really well! Clear quality, and the microphone pop filter is a nice added bonus. The headphones are alright. The studio headphones are decent. I'd say that they're an 8.5/10 in quality. The in-ear ones are...not so great. They're like a 5/10. Overall though, I'm very very happy with what I got. I mainly just wanted the microphone, so the pop filter and the headphones are a nice bonus. This microphone rivals most Audio-Technica microphones, and I personally think that it's better than any M-Audio device out there. I highly recommend this package. It also came in less than 48 hours from when I ordered it! I only chose standard shipping, meaning the earliest I would get my product would be Sept. 17th, but instead it came on the 15th, with no damage or anything. Definitely buy this if you're into recording music, voice chatting, or do any sort of microphone work on the computer.

Ok, so I bought this because my friend had an old Zoom multi-effects pedal and he recommended getting one. It's a solid pedal, but has a few drawbacks. First the positives:

Pros:

-Has a lot of room to store custom presets (up to 40, with 40 factory presets you can't permanently change). These are fun to create.

-Has many effects that are decent in quality, and gives a fair amount of control over them.

-Easy to use, came with wallet card explaining the readout, but this is unnecessary after a few days.

-Sounds very good through headphones.

-Comes with AC adapter.

-Pretty well priced. Definitely a good value.

Cons:

-The drum machine sucks. Boring and quiet, even at full volume.

-You can't run more than one effect from each section, which means you can't layer a lot of effects.

-The noise gate is really crappy. It does remove the noise while you're not playing (as a noise gate is supposed to) but when you stop playing the noise comes through for about half a second before fading out, and sometimes it dulls your pick attack. For those who know noise gates, the attack and release are pretty slow, with a hold that's too long for most of my guitar playing.

-The distortions are pretty lame. Many sound very similar and they're all a bit muddy, even when you adjust the EQ.

-The pitch bending effect is pretty poor, but not useless. It sounds shaky and poppy when you bend the pitch more than half an octave.

It'd be much better to get a different pedal for each effect this pedal creates, but that'd be really expensive. All in all, this pedal is great for beginning players or advanced players on a budget.

UPDATE: 7/13/11

After playing with this pedal for over a half year, it's still going strong. I'd like to add to my original review that the EQ is a bit disappointing (I hadn't really played with it until recently). You end up with a very "digital" sound when using it, especially when boosting frequency bands. Also, I've been using the reverb a lot lately, mostly through headphones, and it sounds great. I'd like to give Zoom credit for putting a very good reverb effect.

Buy Zoom G1XN Guitar Multi Effects Pedal Now

For sale price this pedal rocks! ITS GOT TREMELO!! When I bought the first Zoom 505 gtr pedal back in like 98 it didn't have tremelo or the built in expression pedal. That's rightdon't call it a wah pedal because with the Zoom G1XNext you can assign the pedal to control one of 6 different parameters FOR EVERY PATCH regardless if it uses the wah fx-including volumeor drive!or delay etc etcthis is very useful! its also esaier to make your own patches with the two added knobsyou can also TAP the tempo of your delay and many other FX!!!! I plan on doing some street performances and this pedal can run for hours off 4 AA batteries!!(the digitech ones I looked at with built in expression pedal didnt have battery option and cost more) The tones sound good to meif they're good enough for Bon Jovi's guitar player they're good enough for me. My only complaint so far is that the compressor isn't a stand alone FXmeaning that you cannot use the compressor with any other fx in it's category (there are several categories of fx this pedal uses)dont have the manual with me at the moment so I cant remember all the fx it shares the category withi think wah tho. With compressors so widely used in modern recording Im suprised they didnt have a separate knob or setting for itbut you cant expect everything for ! And they give you a lot! I like the tuner better on this than on the first zoom. Also THEY GIVE YOU A BUSINESS CARD SIZE CARD FOR YOUR WALLET THAT LISTS WHAT ALL THE DIGITAL DISPLAY CHARACTERS MEANso you understand what fx/parameter your setting without needing the manual for every gignice touch!!

Read Best Reviews of Zoom G1XN Guitar Multi Effects Pedal Here

This is a really terrific effects pedal. The individual effects are not quite as good as a dedicated pedal would have, but you get so many in such a compact unit that it is a great value and a lot of fun to play with. It also has a good tuner, a basic drum section, and it will drive a set of headphones, so you can use it instead of having a separate tuner, metronome, and practice amp. The pedal works smoothly and has stood up to fairly vigorous use. It comes with a lot of premade patches and room to store a lot of your own.

Weaknesses are the complexity of the interface (significant learning curve to use all of the features, though this just reflects how powerful and flexible the unit is), awkwardness of the drum interface (you can't push the tiny drum button with your foot, and it is hard to adjust the drums while you are playing), and weakness of some of the effects (I was especially disappointed by the octave/pitch shifter).

I heartily recommend this pedal. You should think about whether you would be better with this model or the one with the separate pedal you plug in, though. This one is less expensive and more compact, but you can't adjust any of the settings without bending down to the floor, though you can run up or down through your patch list with the two large buttons. The unit with the separate pedal would allow you to have it up on a table while the pedal was on the floor, which would be a lot better for programming in the patches.

Want Zoom G1XN Guitar Multi Effects Pedal Discount?

This is a fun pedal that has made just messing about at home a LOT more fun. The range of sounds you can create is just about endless. I don't know what the other reviewer was using for equipment, but I can barely turn the volume up to 25% of max before the drum machine and guitar sounds are unbearable. It's plenty loud. the direct headphone out is really useful. You don't even need an amp just plug your guitar into it and go.

The hardware itself is so-so. It's solid plastic and the pedal is well made (but frankly, not that useful. Mostly I just leave it ON or OFF, rarely in between). I'd would have rather they'd made the two foot switches bigger and easier to use. The digital readout is easy to read but with 40+ presets, it's sometimes hard to remember. That's kind of a good thing, as there are a near infinite number of sounds you can produce with this.

The selector and volume knobs feel cheap and I worry they may not last, though I have no evidence that they won't last.

Overall, I'm glad I have it, it's good bang for the buck.

Buy Fom Amazon Now

This is my first pedal and already i love it. it's the best for the money and value sure it's not tops but on a limited budget it does the trick for me. I love all the presets including the british hiwatt setting since i play alot of floyd and gilmour's music it does everything i want. I would recomend this for anyone on a limited budget for a good all around pedal.

UPDATE:

After using this for a couple years now I love this pedal. it rocks and saves me from having to buy multiple pedals after figuring it all out I can now just tap and I am ready for the next song. I highly recommend this pedal for any guitarist on a tight budget. it works great on all amps I have tried it on. sounds best on the peavy's I use at home and on the road. Good bang for the buck.

The first thing you'll notice about these headphones; they are pretty small. The picture posted of these things make them seem bigger but maybe that's just me. Connecting them to my Macbook Pro was snap. I just charged the headphones for a couple hours and they connected no problem.

The sound coming from them is very clear! I've noticed with these head phones (And this is quite common for wireless headphones) the sound is quieter than a pair of wired headphones. No problem, just turn up the volume and you're good!

As far comfort, they are pretty average. They're not uncomfortable but definitely not as comfortable as say, a pair of Turtle Beach headphones. If you try adjusting them while you are wearing them, your hair will get caught in them! And I have pretty short hair too. That's really the main reason I don't give them five stars. That, and I wish they were a bit bigger.

Yes they look cool. But they don't sound so great.

Headphones are smaller than you would think from the photos and not comfortable. Quality is not so hot. Materials flimsy. They care more about printing marketing all over your head than making a decent product. The battery life is good, but you cant turn the VOLUME up. Its barely passable. And the fidelity is... meh. Its OK. I got a $30 pair of echo v300's and while the user interface is a PITA on those, the sound kicks these things all over the street and home to mama. Oh and on a Mac, sound cuts out frequently with the iFrogs. Junk. Going back.

This is a nice comfortable, near over the ear headphone, constructed of a soft satin finish and some pretty loud graphics. That brings up my next point, the only quality lacking in this headphone is "loudness". For those of us who like our music at the mythical eleven, don't expect that here, the volume is adequate for recorded books, talk radio, but rocking out, not gonna happen. Quality of sound is not the problem, volume is. There is no artificial bass boost and you can hear midrange and treble just fine. Overall design is excellent, didn't think I would like the nearly flush buttons at first, but that feature has grown on me. Battery lasting well into stated range, 9+hours with juice left over. At this price a wall wart should have been included. IF these phones were "louder" these would have easily given a five.

I bought this thing to control Traktor Pro. So far I like it, and customizing traktor for it has been straight-forward.

It comes with some software ) that I really wish would work well. It looks just like the controller I mean exactly. It's got nice features, but it's been *very* unstable for me crashed my whole computer like nothing else. Also the program runs on Windows only, and i prefer Mac. I tested their program out on windows xp in parallels vm, so you may get different results.

It's got a nice layout and amount of controls, however the bottom section doesn't all match up with traktor perfectly, so i'm still working out what those buttons should do.

It has cheap components no surprise there but they're ok. Buttons have positive click, but kind of cheap feel. Faders were a little gritty out of the box, but i gave them a workout and are smooth enough, now. Knobs feel ok. The jog platters are actually pretty good they're not touch-sensitive, but they' super smooth and glide; they keep spinning for a bit when you give them a shove. If you're looking for butter-smooth faders, nice buttons, etc, you're looking in the wrong price-bracket; but these are fine if you're not picky.

Overall i'm happy i bought this. It was a bit of a risk, as i found no reviews for it. I think it's worth it, so far.

I bought this cello because I couldn't afford the big gnarly cellos (yet). I couldn't find any reviews on THIS particular model, so I hope this helps someone in the future. The cello came in a box with good packaging. The bridge was not installed. I've only played an acoustic cello before, so a little guidance would have been helpful here. Had to look at the pictures on the Cecilio website to figure out that the bridge goes right on top of the pickup. Got the bridge up, strings tightened some then put the battery in. OK, that worked. Plugged in the cheap headphones that come with it. Nothing. Tried the other jacks. Nothing. Tried the 1/8" to 1/4" cord into a mixer. Nothing. I called the manufacturer and they were less than helpful. They figured the guy in India (from Amazon)would have MUCH better information than the manufacturer. While I was fuming and contacting the guy in India my husband messed around with it some more. We found out that it has to go from the PHONES jack to the mixer and had to be in there JUST right in order to work. So as soon as I nudge it a bit, have to mess with it again. The good news is that it DOES work and it DOES sound like a cello. You can hear it just fine without it being turned on or plugged in, its just not as loud as an acoustic cello would be. I'm going to see about getting the electronics changed in it so that it DOES work correctly because I like the frame on it. Oh and the bridge is too high...probably about as tall as the pickup is. So i have to either get a new bridge or sand this one down a bit. For $300 what are you gonna do. Cellos aren't cheap and the cheap cellos are...well...cheap. At least its a good place to start from to re-learn the cello.

I was able to assemble this cello and have it playing within an hour of UPS delivery. It had everything needed to start, including a battery, which is very easy to install and replace. The bow is a basic student model, and the case is just a thin fabric, but for the price it's a supreme bargain!

The fit and finish is excellent, it looks great, and plays easily. The fingerboard has some areas that are not quite smooth, which can show up on any cello, but other than that I've used it indoors and out, with a bass amp and also through a direct box to a mixer at a ball game. Never dared take my 19th century cello out into that environment. So I definitely recommend this item.

I ordered this Cello on Monday September 5, 2011 and received the Cello on Friday September 9, 2011 delivered by FedEx. It came in a box and like the other review said I had to install the bridge (which was in the case). Everything seemed to be well just a little dusty. The support that comes up to your chest I accidentally broke because the screws it had were really short, I found some that were a little longer and replaced them and everything is fine. I play it at my church and every one can hear it and they were pleased at how it sounded and so was I. It has a couple of rough spots. My A string twangs when i play the 4th finger D in 1st position, the fourth position on this cello is a little higher up the neck than you would think if you are used to acoustic cellos. Cheap strings an alright bow but everything was great It came with cheap headphones and a battery. A carpenter at my church was excited about the cello and he wanted to see it, he examined it and said that the cello was maple which is strong wood so I was really well pleased with this cello.

First, a little background. I played cello in high school over 40 years ago and decided I wanted to get back into cello.

It seems there are 2 areas as far as prices are concerned the "inexpensive" cellos, and then the ones that break the bankthere seems to be very little in between. I bought a few of the imported "inexpensive" acoustics, but they lacked good tone. All the cellos needed bridge and nut work, and better strings. I finally found an older acoustic that has good tone, but still am not happy with the overall instrument.

So I decided to venture into electric cellos, where most of the sound is controlled by the pick-up and amp combination. It is not so much relying on the "speaker" of the big cello wooden box. Again, there is the $300+ range, and then into nearly $2000 range, so I bought this cello, in the Mahogany color.

All I can say is Wow! Packing was great, the fit and finish is excellent. It had the usual issues mainly lesser quality strings, and high string height.

I have added better strings, fitted a new bridge, and lowered string height at the nut. Now it plays great, and does not have the attendant problems that an acoustic cello may have. I found, with proper amp setting, I can achieve a fairly natural cello sound and then there are also effects that can be done!

The only other issue I had, was trying to hold and play it in the same position as an acoustic was awkward. There is no "depth" to the bouts where I usually rest on my leg, and the back rest seemed to hurt my chest. I solved all this with the addition of a small clamped on bracket that I made which simulates the bout, and some foam padding on the wood back rest.

It plays well, has all ebony fittings, looks good, and now I can hold and play it just like the acoustic. I would recommend this cello for all but the most professional players, as you get a lot for the money. Keep in mind, that some bridge work may be needed to suit your style.

Got this Cecilio Electric Cello in Mahogany in December 2012. I have played guitar, bass, drums, and done studio recording for >10 years and wanted to learn the cello. The price on this was perfect so that I don't feel guilty if I don't play it a ton.

FIRST NOTE: The first cello I received was cracked THROUGH THE NECK where the scroll meets the fretboard. Cecilio and Amazon gave me no trouble in returning that one for a brand new cello, and for that their customer service gets a hand.

That being noted, it is what I would expect for $300. Body is pressed wood, sealed with a nice varnish. The neck is a smooth, well-planed rosewood(?) painted black, which plays well with no dead spots noted. Bridge seems to be quality and didn't require additional adjustments/shaving for the action to be correct. The nut is spaced properly and the height seems appropriate.

The pickup works well and is even sensitive to body vibrations (tapping, movement) much like that on my A/E guitar seems to be an okay piezo. HOWEVER it DOES get overloaded at times when bowing heavily on 2 strings simultaneously. I haven't yet found a way around this and the distortion created can be annoying when plugged in. Amplified sound through my Bogner is pretty cool especially when running it through my guitar effects pedals.

Electronics on the back are simple enough. No, it isn't an expensive Fishman or LR Baggs preamp, but it gets the job done. In the future I may retrofit it with a high-quality acoustic/electric preamp and a 1/4" TS out. It is nice of Cecilio to supply the 1/8" TS to 1/4" TS cable.

Strings on this aren't great, so a new set will be on it's way soon, but they're playable. Tuning pegs stuck well in tune in

I've owned a Shure psm 400 system. There isn't much of a comparison, however, I am pleasantly surprised. The Bodypack is sturdy enough. The transmitter is a bit cheap looking, (but cmon.... this is a cheap system.) I wasn't expecting much. I purchased 2 systems for our church because I wanted to see if the frequencies interfered with each other, but they didn't so, I'll buy probably 2 more. It did take me 5 minutes to tweak the frequency to get it where i wanted it. Would not recommend for road/stadium gigging, but for small setting and a small budget, it will do fine.

Overall a decent in ear for the price. I was actually surprised about the sound quality. For being a budget unit, it has good sound. As far as durrability, I haven't had it that long, so only time will tell. As was stated before, keep your input signal low. They will overload and distort easily. We do get some cutting out when 3 of the packs are connected. I suspect that it may be from too hot of an input signal or batteries getting low. I will have to do more research. Bottom line, for the price, they do pretty well for small gigs.

Some reviewers are really giving this item a negative review. While i see their point i don't think the these thoughts should be applied to every case and usage.

Does it work? YES.

Does it work well? That depends on what & HOW you are using the product. It works well when the volume going in to the transmitter is not too high -use the gain on the receiver to bring the volume up. Also, don't put thru a lot of bass it will distort. This is my experience from using it in a live performance. Once you have adjusted these above items, it does work well for click track and general monitoring.

Does it work as well as a $500 IEM system: NO come on, really?

Does it have interference? YES and NO depends if you have the transmitter beside an appliance or amp that gives off interference!

The bottom line: You get what you pay for...in this instance, you get a little more than what you paid for..but my advice would be to keep your expectations in check..it DOES work but it's not perfect. It is great for watching movies when the kids are asleep as well :)

Monitors distort badly, will try new and better headgear with system. Unfortunately I don't have full live PA set up at all times to try and test different components. But, I'm thinking this is a very poor quality product and you only get what you pay for. Lesson learned.

The Shure se310's are far and away the best in ear headphones I've ever owned. All the high's mid's and low's of pretty much every music genre come through as if I'm sitting in on a recording session or hearing the music live all around me, which is exactly the music experience I wanted and expected. If you have never owned a pair of Shure in ears and are standing on the fence, then now is probably the best time to jump on the bandwagon. If you are updating an old pair of ec4's or lower grade Shure's than this is what you are looking for. Shure in ears are for those music buffs and audiophiles who want to have the most pure experience with their tunes as possible without actually hearing it live. Experiencing this level of quality with earphones for the first time is quite the experience as the difference between the high end phones and the basic consumer phones is quite substantial. I'm not a paid advertiser or anything like that. I just graduated from college and am taking advantage of my graduation money, hehe. Lucky for me, I managed to find these on Amazon while TigerDirect was having a huge sell and nabbed them for 138 bucks instead of the normal 250. Great deal! If money is an issue at 250 then I suggest going with the se210's or go even cheaper with the v-moda vibe in ears. Both of those sets are great as well in the 100 150 dollar range, and these were the sets I was originally looking at until I ran into these babies as an even lower price than the se210's because of the sale. Couldn't believe my eyes! And now my ears are rejoicing! If you can afford it these are still a great buy at $250. You really can't go wrong with Shure. They consistently put out a high quality line of products. As you might have already noticed I'm a fan of my recent purchase.

I've read some professional reviews about this set and a couple of them have mentioned how they were dissapointed with the bass response, but with my experience I can't help but question their professional reviewer status. The bass response is perfect for me. You just have to get the right fit, which shouldn't be a problem with the many different types and sizes of in ear fixtures that come with the set. For me, the foam fixtures already on the phones out of the package were the right fit.

I used to play in a nationally renowned touring and recording rock band so music is 'kind of a big deal' to me. This is as close as you'll get to having a live music experience in your home, at the gym, or jogging in the park.

The sound isolation is also a huge plus, and it works like a dream. I live in an apartment right across the street from an industrial zone with tons of noise coming into my place at all times of the day and night. It is right next to a busy road, and my wife is a dancer. She plays her own music on her stereo quite loud to choreograph and practice routines all the time. Suffice it to say I don't have a very peaceful environment at home. So to get away sometimes I like to put on some headphones and just zone out. All that noise is completely gone with these bad boys on, and the volume level does not need to be loud at all to drown all that outside clutter out, so you save your hearing from being damaged by not having to turn the volume way up to drown out all that exterior mess.

Hope this review has been helpful to you.

I ordered these for my husband because he travels a lot for business. He loves them. I have used them a few times and they are wonderful. The sound is superb. On airlines, you can't even hear any noise at all. It's like having a symphony inside your head.

Pros:

Balanced sound without too much bass. If you like that sort of listening experience. If you want more bass, go with a different brand because Shure is notorious for its balance, not bass.

Cons:

I only saw one other review with this complaint, and frankly I'm surprised. The issue here is that the thin cable leading up to the headphones, contours around your ears, and eventually this bending causes the frail wire cover to peal off thus exposing the bare wire.

I gave these to my brother, a 27-year-old working in NYC, who uses these earbuds for no more than 3 hours a week during his commute. He takes care of them, but after 9 months, they had to be replaced under Shure's 2-year warranty (which they have recently reduced from 3 to 2 years...I wonder why?)

For 200 bones, I would expect more durability.

Within 9 months of using them in mixed weather, e.g. cycling and hiking in winter conditions the cords on these headphones started to crack ultimately ruining the headphones.

The headphones themselves are good and I'm considering getting new ones, but the cords themselves can't be directly exposed to bad weather over a prolonged period or they'll crack and peel off.

OK, so I really wanted to upgrade these to a 4 1/2. They are great in everyway. I just feel that the company implied greater bass response than the earphones deliver. Don't get me wrong, they are great, they just don't live up to the hype.

I bought them to use when I am mowing my orchard on a loud 27hp zero turn mower. They are amazing. After selecting the best earpieces for me, I can listen to my music the whole time I am mowing and just barely hear the hum of the engine in the background.

Would I recommend them? Heck yes, as I said they are the best sounding and most sound isolating earphones I have ever owned.
