This cable worked great. I've run a lot of cable during my life and have learned not to waste my arm and leg buying those expensive monster cables. Salesmen will try talking you into buying the more expensive and more so called shielded cables. That's a bunch of you know what, at least in my experience. I've never had any problems with the cheaper cables. I bought this cable to hook up my imac to my hdtv to watch tv off of. This cable provides the audio just fine. Though, at first I did have a low humming noise from the speakers, which turned out to be something called a "ground loop," which is another story you may google to learn more. I solved the ground loop problem by getting a "ground loop isolator," which took care of the problem. Also, I believe that there may be some signal loss because the cable is 50ft. long, but I just have to turn my receiver or amplifier up a little more than usual, which is fine. Hope this review helps somebody out there trying to do something similar. Good luck.

These work to get my computer hooked up to my sound system in the other room or my mp3's, iPad ect. They however pick up a local radio station and I was told I should have spent the extra money for shielded wires. These will work for now though and I am happy as they work as are advertised.

I was very pleased to find this product at a good price so that I could run it alongside my 50-foot s-video cable to connect my TV to my PC in different rooms and watch Netflix and other videos in my living room. I was NOT pleased to discover, upon running the cable, that it was only 40 feet long, not the 50 feet advertised. Since I needed a 48-foot cable, this was not satisfactory. If you need a 40-foot cable, it's great at the price, but if you need a 50-foot cable, look elsewhere.

This is an example of a product that is hard to find (50 feet), but on Amazon it is easy and the best price. And it works very well.

I purchased this cable for my classroom. My surround sound panel is in the back of my Music room, but everything I use to play music and show videos is in the front. School technicians said they wouldn't give me a cable or run wire to the front of the room, so this cable was the cheapest solution. I hear very minor RF interference (I have a wireless router in my classroom) when I am not playing music. When music is playing, however, everything is good. The sound quality is amazing with no distortion whatsoever. I'm glad I took a chance on this one despite some negative reviews.

I just got this pedaleboard to replace my POD xt live. The packaging was good and got it the next day with amazon prime

So far I tried the factory presets and made a few of my own.

First of all, HD modeling is a great upgrade from previous pods, it does sound diferent, I'm not and audio tech or anything like that, it really feels very close the real thing.

With this one you get fewer amp modeling, but they are 16 greatly modeled amps, and you can tweak every aspect of it to make it sound how you want.

I like the fact that now with line 6 edit you can tweak the signal, you can use pre or post effect and the GUI from the new version is really intuitive.

The advantage of the 400 is that you have the bank selector and is to my opinion less confusing than the 500.

This is really an improvement I really like the new tone, the distrotion for metal are great, and lots of weird sound effects if you're more into experimental stuff

The only thing I would complain about is: 1. You have to download the manual from the line 6 page

2. It doesn't have an off switch (that's not a bad thing its just I don't like to be pluging every time I want to use it)

Is this better than the 300?? no, Tone is the same, just a few more effects, but I like to have the bank selector separate front the other switches.

Is this worth it or should I get the 500? A friend has the 500 and I got really confused making the tones, with so much stuff you can do, you have to be really patient and organized in order to get the tone you want, with 400 is just tweaking a few of the knobs and that's it ready to rock. If you just want play music with good tone and no spend time tweaking stuff the 400 is for you and you save yourself some money.

Ask me for a video review and I will gladly post it =)

I am not happy writing a negative review but have always read other people's critiques and found them helpful so I thought I'd pass my own experiences along for all of you to make your own judgements.

I am a professional guitarist based in New York City with well over 20 years experience in all kinds of situations from recording sessions to performances in front of large audiences around the world.

I was playing guitar for a musical and was looking for a way to have access to different sounds at the touch of a footswitch. This pedal seemed to have all I needed quick program setting changes, nice sounds, etc. However, I had so many problems using this unit, as much as I was satisfied with the sound makeup of this pedal, I returned it.

1. Volume Pedal: I'm not sure if my pedal was defective, but there were a number of problems here:

The pedal had way too much play. Basically, when I set it to any point, it would just flop to full volume. There was no way to set it anywhere and have it stay there, like is possible with an Ernie Ball (or basically any volume or expression pedal I know).

As a volume pedal, this unit leaves a lot to be desired. There was no appreciable difference in volume from full off to about 3/4 on. Only in the last 1/4 of motion of the pedal was there an audible difference in volume. This is not acceptable.

The volume/wah toggle was impossible to activate from a sitting position, and even standing I often had to step hard on the pedal many times before it would switch.

2. Footpedal Buttons:

I found the pedals too close together and would often hit the wrong button when trying to change programs, especially the Mode button, when trying to get to Program A.

I found the Mode Button a HUGE problem: if hit, it meant I had to toggle through Looper and Individual EFX before I could get back to programs. Seriously, I found the lack of a dedicated button for the Looper a MAJOR defect in this unit.

3. Tuner: Not really that exact. The settings are: two arrows, one arrow, two asterisks (for in-tune), set on the small viewer screen on the unit. Got me close but for a live situation, I really missed my Korg footpedal tuner.

4. On-board Editing: It took a while for me to figure this out, but even after I got the hang of it, I found there was no way to fine-tune the settings. When tweaking a knob during a show (and I like to tweak, as my sound is affected by the room I am performing in), I found that the settings ran in about 12.5% jumps. Really, when tweaking, the individual knob should move in one-percentage steps and show that, not just a vague knob movement on a very small screen on the unit.

5. Editing on the Computer: Here I discovered some really annoying problems with the unit that really turned me off to working with it.

I would be setting up sounds/efx, etc. then would want to try them with a different amp. As soon as I would choose another amp, all my efx would disappear and those preset with the present amp setting would pop up and I would have to start the process all over again! What idiot thought of this?

There is no way to copy sounds/amp settings. Any time I had one and maybe wanted to dial in, say, different efx, I would have to start from scratch.

It was very easy to lose old presets when making a new one. The entire save process is in my opinion very problematic.

Naming presets was a real pain in the ass.

6. There is no on-off switch.

Conclusion: Line 6 did its homework on sounds & efx options, the chassis is great, but I'm sticking with my stompboxes for live use & Logic & Guitar Rig for home recording. Let's hope they get it right in the next generation of their footpedals.

I've been using a POD HD400 for a couple of months now in a P&W venue where there is no option but going direct to the PA. I tried several different setups before getting the POD, and it is by far the best sound and most flexible setup for that situation.

I also use it for practice, and the patch editing software is very helpful. Not the best UI in the world, but it gets the job done. Trying to manually fiddle with all the settings is not as precise, and with the software it's easy to make minor changes and switch back and forth to fine tune the sound. Then, you can rearrange for easiest switching during performance.

The manual (PDF download) could be better.

Tech specs are totally absent. Very disappointing. Also, be aware that Line 6 does not support any headphones lower than 150 ohms. Some people have lots of problems with headphone output with "normal" impedance phones. (I use an old set of Sony MDR V6's and they are a bit loud, but good quality, IMO.) If you have headphones that don't sound good, you will get NO help from Line 6, so be prepared to throw $200+ at phones they recommend.

Very nice multi-effects unit, well built. New HD models are very good, responds well to different volume input, if you wind-up the volume, here comes the overdrive, back it off and it cleans right up. I would rate it 5 stars, but I think you should get the full advanced users guide printed with the unit (122 pages), not a download from Line 6, maybe that's just me. It could probably be a little more intuitive, although once you get the hang of it, it's not bad -probably a lot simpler when you use the computer interface. This is my first Line 6 product so the learning curve may be easier if you've owned other Line 6 devices. It does sound good and I'm still tweaking my settings for different guitars. Huge range of tones available.

Has decent tones, but very annoying to work with creating a tone. If you have a pedal board set up the way you like, and just want to change the amp head. You can't, it changes the whole preset. Get the pod hd desktop, its way better.

There weren't much reviews when I came across this item, but I decided to bite the bullet and now I'm glad I did buy it. I mainly bought it to connect my HDTV to my macbook so I can use VLC player, and so far it works like a charm! This is my second time buying from the Cables to Go brand and their stuff is not bad. This cable plugged snuggly to the back of my HDTV and to the headphone jack on my macbook. I didn't experience any looseness of the plug when connected to a jack as was mentioned in other 3.5mm stereo audio cable product reviews. Overall, if you need sound coming out of your TV from your computer, this is the cable to get.

Cable was purchased to connect a HTC Hero cellphone headphone out to AV Receiver's portable in (Pandora in living room -yea!) Here's the reason for only three stars:

Cable had different behavior depending on which end of cable was connected to AV receiver. Both ways were pretty bad, but in one configuration, the slightest movement of the phone caused a great deal of noise/humming (and tended to pause whatever song was playing in the app). Also, found that if Hero was being charged, it required a particular sequence to work (e.g. had to have AV receiver turned off when connecting the cord to receiver.) It's possible I misunderstood the suitability of this cord for my application.

However, I'm not returning this cable because an extender cord I already owned (3.5 mm male and 3.5 mm female connectors) fixed all problems. I plugged the older extender cord into the receiver, the Cables to Go cord into the extender and into the phone; this works very well. The old extender cord is noticeably thicker than the Cables to Go cord, and it has gold plated connectors -don't know if either of these is the reason for the vast improvement when using it combined with Cables to Go cord, but it seems that as long as the Cables to Go cord doesn't get plugged into the receiver, things work much better.

As a test, I tried the Cables to Go cord (by itself) with an MP3 player -it worked great directly between the receiver and the player.

I didn't take any points off for the following, but things to keep in mind:

The plastic ends are pretty thick, slicing off a bit of the plastic allowed using the cord when phone is in a Body Glove cover (I did this after solving the more serious problems noted above by using the extender.)

Six feet (without using an extender) was too short to be able to use the phone from my normal spot in living room (clearly not a problem with the product, of course. I just didn't think it through before ordering.)

I used this on my iphone and with other cables I would generally hear loud interference whenever my iphone went into edge mode ( I stream Pandora ) When my phone switches to Edge, I don't hear that annoying sound with this cable. I was actually surprised at the shielding of this.

5 Stars!

I've used these about 20 times to connect my notebook computer to some speakers. They worked just fine at first but now they are to the inevitable point of having to bend the cables a certain way in order to get the wires to connect internally. We've all been there, right?

Want C2G / Cables to Go 40413 6 feet M/M Stereo Audio Cable Black Discount?

I bought this about a month ago. All I use it for is to connect my ipod to my car stereo with the auxiliary input. It started out great, no problems with quality or anything. Over the last couple of weeks, however, the quality has dropped severely. I have a 20 minute drive to college a couple times a week, and each time I would need to adjust the cable every other minute or so. The problem is that the audio only plays out of one speaker until you adjust the connection point at the ipod. I have another cable that works great, so the problem lies in this cable. I'd suggest going with another cable if you can find one, but I may have just received a faulty cable. Either way, it was still worth the 5 bucks I paid for it, so I can't complain too much.

very good build quality, I even bought a second to use for headphone mixes. Low noise, has mono inputs in a stereo config, so it's very flexible

Buy Rolls MX28 Mini-Mix VI Now

The first MX28 I received had a high-pitched hum/buzz/whine noise in the headphone amp which was audible at normal listening levels, and awful if the headphone amp was cranked. The noise got louder if I touched my finger to the metal chassis. It was present whether or not anything was connected to the MX28's inputs and outputs. I tried another outlet. No change. I wrote to Rolls via their web contact form and asked if this was normal, but did not receive a reply.

I tried another pair of headphones, but the noise was still there. The master output was clean, and sounded fine through an external HeadRoom AirHead headphone amp. Oddly enough, the noise also went away if I drove the AirHead's input the MX28's headphone output.

Still, using an external headphone amp defeated half of my purposes for getting the MX28, so I ordered a replacement to see if I just got a bad mixer or power supply. The replacement had a similar noise, but it was higher pitched, a little quieter, and had a slightly different character to it. I tried the power supply from the first mixer with the replacement MX28 and now the replacement mixer sounded like the first one did. I tried the replacement power supply with both mixers and they both sounded the same with the same power supply.

My conclusion is that the headphone amp design is susceptible to noise from the power supply, and that the power supplies vary in their level and character of noise. I suspect this would sound great running off of batteries, but the supplied wall wart power isn't clean enough. I found that connecting sources to the inputs and outputs, while using the replacement power supply, lowered the noise a little more to where it's not too bad at normal headphone levels, although it's still prominent if I turn the headphone amp up above the center position.

I'm giving it 2 stars, because the mixer section and master output work well and don't have the whining noise, but beware if you want to use the headphone amp.

I have a number of Rolls products, and they're all solid. This one is no exception--the build is solid and compact and it does its job. For a product like this I would love to see an on/off switch rather than being forced to unplug it to turn it off, but otherwise a good solid product.

I have this mixer fully connected: stereo sound comes in from three computers, and goes out to speakers and headphones. There's no noticeable loss in sound quality. The level adjustments work really well. Cheap analog stereo mixers (and even some good stereo mixers) will have problems keeping the two channels balanced as the levels are adjusted; well-matched, dual-gang potentiometers just aren't cheap. But this mixer maintains remarkably consistent balance as the overall levels are adjusted, without any audible crosstalk. Overall, it's a niche product, but if you need a combination stereo mixer and headphone amp, this a great choice.

No complaints; but I've already outgrown it! The only thing I would want is a power switch so I could shut it off when not using it.

My 50 pound Tapco amp was too much for my Odyssey mixing console rack. It was over a hundred pounds with the mixing console, power supply, CD player and shelf, and the amp. Way over.

I bought this case just for the amp, and with it's depth I can leave the input XLR cables and the power cord attached to the amp. Needing rear support for the amp, I just drilled the sides in the correct 4 locations, and installed 4 each 1/4" carriage bolts through the sides to the mounting ears on the back of the amp. With washers and nuts tightened against the wood wall at the interior, and more nuts and washers sandwiching the amp ears, it is rock solid. The galvanized bolt heads look like they were meant to be there, matching the case's metal trim and hardware.

With this sturdy case, it's end panels latched, the amp is in about as nice a place as it can be when not being used. Yep, it's heavy with the amp in it, but now I can carry my stuff by myself with less fear of injuring myself.

I highly recommend this case to protect your equipment, and looking professional in doing so.

If the carpet covering works for you then this case will be a quality addition to your gear. The wood structure is heavier than that of the flight zone type but if weight is not an issue, this case is worth the price.

I do not normally write reviews for products, but this product is such a poor product, I felt that I needed to. When these headphones arrived, I was super excited. They looked awesome, when I put them on, they felt great! Then, I plugged them into my DJ system. This is when I was disappointed. The headphones sound like crap! There is no bass in the headphones at all. In fact, the sound that comes out of these headphones sounds flat. There is no way that a DJ could mix music with these headphones. In fact, I don't know how anybody could even listen to music out of their iPod with these headphones. Buyer beware! This is an awful product.
